1. A few times, once before on other sites. Not necessarily ponies, though. But they've always been in a fantasy setting, so I could always use magic as an excuse for how they can tell where they're going. That's probably cheating though.
2. My posts usually vary. It mostly depends on what I have to reply too. But yeah, it has been rather challenging trying to RP without the sense of sight for a character. Slowly but surely, I'll get the hang of it.
3. Starlight heard the stallion's voice respond. She turned to face the source of the voice, only to hear a frustrated exclamation. The stallion proceeded to order her back into the passenger cart. Starlight backed up, but waited for a moment. By the sound of it, the stallion had gone back to work without another remark. Using her magic to guide her, Starlight approached the laboring stallion as he pushed against the train. If there was one thing she disliked most in this world, it was to feel useless. "Is there anything I can do to help?" She asked, quickly adding, "I'm sure I can do something more useful than just sit quietly in the cart."
4. As Starlight browsed the stalls, using her sense of smell to discern the product being sold, she moved sideways to the next stall. With her thoughts preoccupied on the shops, Starlight managed to bump into another pony. Letting out a startled squeal, Starlight quickly turned to face whomever she had bumped into. "Oh, I'm so sorry," she quickly apologized, smiling sheepishly as she chuckled. "I suppose I should really be paying more attention." She added, continuing to smile as she spoke. Though Starlight wasn't able to see this pony's face, with the aid of her magic she was able to sense this pony was a Pegasus.
5. OoC: This was created for RaincloudRunner and myself, but I welcome anypony to feel free to join in. When Starlight Dancer heard the birds chirping merrily, and felt the warm rays of the sun shinned down upon her, she knew today was going to be good. She had arrived in Ponyville just mere moments before, and already she felt herself being invited into the small but friendly town. She could hear the voices of her fellow ponies all around her, filling the air with chatter and buzz. Luckily for her, Starlight was here on vacation. She was free to go where ever, when ever. Smiling happily, Starlight relished this time as she rarely got a chance to just enjoy the sights and sounds that Ponyville had to offer. Using her magic to guide herself, Starlight made her way to what seemed to be a marketplace. Stalls were lined up and down the street. She could smell the sweet aroma of fruits and baked goods wafting in the warm breeze. The day had only just begun, and already Starlight knew that this day was going to be one to remember.
6. Hmm, well, I was thinking just Ponyville. Pretty much a standard location, right? Unless you have a preference for somewhere else.
7. Alright. I suppose I can make it an open RP too, maybe get a few others to join in on a spontaneous adventure or something. Couldn't have said it better myself.
8. Well, there doesn't have to be a plot, it could just be another day in Equestria. But if you'd prefer there be some sort of plot, I might be able to come up with something.
9. That's alright, I understand. Well, when you finish up and are in need of a RP partner, feel free to return. I think I'll be around for some time.
10. Hey there, and welcome to Canterlot! I definitely recommend watching the rest of the series. There are so many great episodes in season one. I also see that you like to RP. How to see you around!
11. http://www.canterlot.com/files/sigbars/canterlot_pegasister.gif I was updating my signature.
12. Hmm, well, I saw that one of Clockwork's motivations is to make kids smile. My idea was maybe they're at a sort of jobs fair, and they're there to educate the little ponies on their jobs and what they do. They bump into each other there. Beyond that, I guess we can just see where it goes.
13. Making her way to the small bed at one corner in the passenger cart, Starlight could hear a loud gust of wind outside. The whole train seemed to shake at its passing, forcing Starlight to anchor herself down. She entered a slightly crouched position, waiting for the train to even out. Of course, it wasn't long when the train seemed to enter free-fall. "Eep!" She let out a startled squeal as the train soared down the slopped tracks, until finally reaching the bottom. Starlight could feel her weight forced back down, her head spinning and disoriented. She tried stumbling towards the bed, hopefully to get some rest before arriving in Canterlot. But the ride was only just beginning. As the train slipped and slid across the frozen land, Starlight felt herself being pulled across the small room. Everything entered into chaos. Her luggage was flying across the floor, and anything not nailed to the ground was jumping all about. "What in Equestria is happening out there?" Starlight stammered as the train came to a sloppy halt. The train was finally stopped. The blind mare took a few moments to compose herself, figuring the weather had been far worse than she imagined. Still, there was little time to be dallying about. Starlight used her magic to navigate the littered floor, making her way to the door to the passenger cart. Pushing it open, fighting against the wind as it pushed back, she finally managed to get it open. The wind was furious, and the snow came down mercilessly. "Hello?" She called out, hoping the stallion pulling the train was alright. She was never formally introduced to him, so calling to him by name was out of the question. "Hello?!" She cried out again, hoping her voice could be heard over the constant howling of the wind.
14. Roleplay Type: World of Equestria. Name: Peridot Darling. Sex: Female Age: Mare. Species: Unicorn. Eye colour: Navy blue - #0B486B Coat colour: Sea-foam green - #A8DBA8 Mane/Tail/Markings colour & Style: Dull teal - #3B8686 Peridot wears her mane casually. It is medium length, much longer than her tail. Her tail is kept short. Physique: Peridot has a healthy physique. She is no smaller nor no bigger than the average mare. Cutie Mark: Silver scissors and a emerald comb forming an "X" Origin/Residence: Ponyville. Occupation: Mane stylist. Motivation: Peridot hopes to one day become a renowned mane-dresser. Maybe even move to Canterlot and become the personal stylist for the Princess (oh, the wonders she could do with Celestia's long, flowing mane). Likes: Talking, flowers, taking strolls around Ponyville, fashion, talking, slumber parties, parties in general, and talking. Dislikes: Rivers, lakes or big bodies of water, being bored, being wrong, and of course, having no one to talk to. Character Summary: Peridot Darling was born in the rural Ponyville. Though she was born in a small town, she's always been a city girl. Boasting about being destined for bigger and better things when she was a young filly, Peridot Darling always wanted to be the talk of the town. But if it was one thing that interested Peridot the most, it was fashion. Though she admired ornate gowns and decadent jewelry, it was often the style of manes and tails that caught Peridot's eye. From cheeky up-do's and free-flowing locks, Peridot wanted to learn how to make mane's into beautiful works of art. As a young filly, she'd style her doll's hair and practice that way. But when she'd require more than just strings of yarn, Peridot's mother and father soon became her test subjects. Peridot's family is a small one, consisting of two caring parents and a younger brother. Her mother and father, Winter Breeze and Fishline are both fisher-ponies. Being the eldest, Peridot was often responsible for looking after her younger brother. He too fell victim to Peridot's early experiments. Peridot's parents have always been open and nurturing when it came to her passion. They helped her anyway they could, even if it meant sporting a new hairdo. Peridot Darling still lives with her parents, and baby-sits her younger brother while they're away at work. During a styling competition, Peridot was up against more seasoned mane-dressers. Undeterred, Peridot Darling wanted to show the judges what she could do. However, when the winner was announced, Peridot didn't win. Disappointed, Peridot was about to give up. But the judges weren't done, and when Peridot received an honorable mention, her spark was reinvigorated. So she didn't win, but that didn't mean her work was bad. Inspired to continue on, Peridot Darling promised she'd keep working at her craft until she became the very best in all Equestria. Peridot Darling is a very proud pony, and it shows. She can sometimes be a little arrogant, and slow to accept new ideas. She's stubborn in her ways, and loves being proven right. Peridot is quick tempered, especially after taking a hit to her ego. Though she's far from being cold or mean, she can be a little rude when dealing with somepony who goes against her. For the most part, Peridot is friendly and talkative. She's definitely got spunk, and would be entirely likeable if it weren't for her condescending attitude. It's something she's working on, but it's proving to be harder than she imagined. For the most part, Peridot Darling is set in her ways. As long as she's in a good mood, she's amiable and quirky. Additional Information:
15. Linkage Alrighty, I've got it. I hope I did everything right.
16. As a strong gust of wind descended the rocky slopes, Starlight's periwinkle mane swayed as the wind tugged at her. She cringed slightly, the frosty nip in the air seemed to grow colder by the minute. She had left the window open on account of the warm weather, but that was at the base of the mountain. By now, Starlight figured they were reaching the peak of the mountainous ridge. Starlight had experienced bad weather before, but nothing like this. It was her first time travelling along the mountain ridge. "I sure hope we make it in one piece." Starlight spoke through chattering teeth. Her petite body quaked as the cold continued to seep in, even after she had closed the open window. As the train continued to climb the mountain, she could only hope that the storm would let up. Weather had proven itself to be unpredictable. Starlight turned towards the window. Though her eyes could not see what lie beyond the glass, her nose could just feel the frost as it built up on the window's frame. It was probably snowing by now. At the moment, she could only imagine what the mountain side looked like. OoC: I hope this was an okay post. Let me know if I need to revise anything.
17. Sure, I'm always up for a RP. Did you have a plot idea, or just something casual?
18. Oh, I like that. Great idea. Did you want me to start up a new topic, or would you like to start?
19. Not exlusively, but yes. TPBM's favorite genre is sci-fi.
20. Nothing at the moment, really. I haven't RPed as Starlight before, so this is mostly just me getting into her mindset. But if you've got some ideas, I'd love to hear about them. Aw, that's a shame. That would be really awkward though, no idea how that'd even work. XD
21. So, I've had my pony Starlight waiting around for awhile now. I figure it's about time I jumped on this roleplay band wagon. Problem is, where to start? That's where you come in. If you're interested in roleplaying with my pony Starlight Dancer, then just leave a reply. We can discuss plot or we can just jump right in. Thank you all for your consideration. 8D
