  1. Carrot Top stood by with a sly grin, waiting to hear Applejack's reply as to whether she indeed liked her second cousin. The orange manned pony knew of the apple farmer's almost legendary honesty, sometimes being as blunt as a boulder when telling the truth about something. But the way she blundered when trying to explain her relationship with Carrot Fields raised a red flag of suspicion in Carrot's mind.

Before she could wait for long, Applejack grabbed her and gave her a kiss. Her eyes went wide at the momentary lapse of remembering that buying apples came with a kiss. But just as quick as it started it ended, leaving the cream colored pony in shock for a few minutes. She wondered if when kissing her Applejack thought about kissing Carrot Fields, especially due to the intensity of the kiss that Carrot experienced.

"Wow... that was... wow. I've never been kissed by a mare before, but that was one of the best kisses I've had. Then again you must have practice with all these other ponies."

Before collecting her apples, she leaned towards Applejack so as not to let others hear out of fear of sparking a rumor that would spread through Ponyville like a wildfire.

"You know," she whispered, "If you kiss like that with my second cousin, then I think you'll keep him around."

With a smile and a wink Carrot collected her apples purchased and waving goodbye to the apple farmer made her way back home.

Exit Carrot Top. Thanks for the fun!

  2. Carrot Top watched as Applejack fretted and nervously tried to explain her situation. To the orange manned mare's surprise, she heard Applejack utter a familiar name.

"Carrot Fields? You have a crush on my second cousin? Wow Applejack, you have quite a catch there if I do say so myself. He is a really nice pony, and I think he might be a good match for you. I guess it makes sense a farm pony liking a farm pony, just like I like Hayseed. But wait a minute, did you think that I was dating my second cousin? That's kind of... weird."

She nodded in recognition to Princess Celestia's comment behind her as she fumbled her coin purse for the five bits for her apples. Then she waited, albeit a bit nervously to see about the kissing part. While she waited, she tried picturing an image of Carrot Fields and Applejack together perhaps running across the fields or sitting under an apple tree.

Having spoken with Brian Blackberry (owner of Carrot Fields) we decided to make Carrot Fields and Carrot Top as second cousins. Close enough to be kin but not very closely related.

  3. Hello all. Well my computer is being serviced so I'm on limited time with the current one I'm typing from now. This means that I am very limited with my time here. For this reason I may be just lurking until my computer returns. Apologies to all who are RPing with me especially cast characters. I will try to be active once again shortly.

  4. The news of the Princess's apparent pregnancy caused quite a stir among the crowd of ponies in line. Carrot didn't quite make out who said it first, relying on Princess Cadence's outburst as means to celebrate. She knew that if anypony would know it would be either Twilight's closest friends, the ones Carrot saw with the purple unicorn constantly in her passing through town, or a fellow Princess. Applejack however was quick to put the issue to rest and that was good enough for Carrot Top.

"Ah well, if anypony would know it would be one of Twilight's friends like you Applejack, besides of course hearing it straight from the pony's mouth. You're right that now that I think about it Twilight didn't look pregnant seeing her in town. And I'm sure that if she was, she'd be buying up my carrots and your apples by the hoof-full!"

Strangely the fellow farm pony selling apples breathed a clear sigh or relief at the fact that Carrot mentioned Hayseed as her special somepony. She wondered what the fuss was about, why Applejack was so concerned about who she liked with a worry of a child having their favorite toy taken away. Unless...

"Wait a minute, you thought that i fell in love with some other pony, right? Maybe somepony you like? Alright then, spill it. Which pony do you have your eyes fixed on? You have to tell me since I already told you who I liked. Oh, and as for apples, a bushel of red delicious and Macintosh please."

  5. Carrot Top's conversation was halted when Princess Celestia mentioned about her opinions of farms big and small and how all can contribute.

"Thank you, Princess. I will definitely take you advice and write a letter to your chefs. I'm sure once they try my carrots they'll want to buy more."

Carrot Top listened as Applejack proudly sounded off on what every member of the Apple family was doing. It reminded her of how much fun she had living with her parents.

"Well it sounds like everypony in you family is busy. But I'm glad that you all seem to be having fun while you work too."

Carrot for the moment did not know what Applejack meant by mentioning working face first at the stand. Her only guess was that the pony was right there in front of everypony else selling apples. Then the blonde manned pony explained further to Carrot about what this day actually involved. Her eyes went wide with surprise hearing that there was some promotion involved where she'd buy apples and get a kiss! Strangely the orange manned mare noticed Applejack tense up when she mentioned about her special somepony. She wondered if the apple mare had her eye on Hayseed. There was a bit of paranoia that now that Carrot Top had somepony like the stallion in her life that there would be another to try and take him away from her. Still, Carrot wasn't one to rush to conclusions.

"Oh, er... um... I never kissed a mare before, except my mom of course, but that's doesn't count I don't think. But if that's what will get me a bushel of nice juicy apples, then I guess there's a firs time for everything. Oh, and yeah I guess I should tell my special somepony's name it's..."

    “YOU MEAN TWILIGHT IS PREGNANT???”

"Oh, Twilight's pregnant? How sweet! I'll be sure to give here some of my pureed carrots for the little one when he or she is born."

She then realized that she failed to answer Applejack about who the pony was in her life that stole her heart.

"Oh as I was saying, my special somepony is Hayseed."

  6. Carrot Top was so busy with speaking with Princess Celestia that she failed to see the line move swiftly in the process. Even more so, the orange manned mare didn't even see Professor Krashkop being whisked off his hooves and kissed by Granny Smith! The only evidence was seeing the green Pegasus stumbling away from the stand with apples. Carrot guessed that Applejack gave the stallion a surprise with her kiss rather than it actually being Granny Smith that did the kissing. It was only hearing her name that made the mare turn around to meet Applejack.

"Oh hi there Applejack. Guess I had my head in the cloud there. I'm doing great with the harvest. Actually I think it's my best year yet so far, and there's plenty more to dig up. And also between you and I there's another nice thing that happened to me recently. I found a special somepony right here in Ponyville! So how are you doing? I can tell your harvest is great with all these ponies showing up here."

  7. Carrot Top smiled as Princess Celestia mentioned how she preferred the purchasing of food from smaller farms rather than the larger ones. The orange manned mare wasn't jealous with the success of larger farms as she knew that the ponies who owned and worked them did so just like the smaller farms with plowing, weeding, watering, and harvesting. If fact they had an even greater admiration with Carrot Top having to handle such a task. Still Carrot felt that all farms be them great of small needed their moment to shine.

"Well Princess, I'm glad that you are choosing produce from farms both great and small. I'm just glad that you are thinking about my little farm here in Ponyville as well as Sweet Apple Acres here. And if you or your chefs ever want to pay my farm a visit, well then it would be an honor to do so."

Surprisingly, Carrot Top saw yet another Princess pay the farm a visit. Although the mare wasn't close to royalty she of course heard about Princess Celestia, Luna and Twilight Sparkle. But this pink Alicorn before her was a mystery. It looked as though she knew Celestia and that they were in conversation, so Carrot held back and smiled as she waited in line, waiting for the right time to introduce herself.

  8. The movie was good from a technical standpoint. I have read My Little Dashie as one of my first fanfics which inspired me to write.

What I am shocked at was the comments I read on Equestria Daily about it, how there was a such a negative backlash and how they disliked that this movie even was made as it brought up the fanfic. Ok, My Little Dashie is by no means the best fanfic but wow such drama.

  9. Carrot Top waited as Princess Celestia sampled her baby carrots. She nodded when the Princess mentioned that she could not eat all the carrots. It wasn't something that she wanted to force on the Princess eating the carrots, yet she was happy that the Princess was able to try one. To her delight the Princess liked what the mare grew! Even better than the fact that the Princess would possibly pay her a visit, Carrot Top was thrilled that a portion of her harvest would be sent to Canterlot! Even if it was a small part, the mare would still be playing a role in the creation of foods.

"Oh thank you Princess Celestia. Anytime that you would like to visit, feel free to stop by. And thank you for looking for some to be delivered to Canterlot. It really means much that you like what i produce and what my cutie mark represents. How many small farms do you have put towards what is made in the castle in Canterlot?"

  10. "Oh the pleasure is all mine," Carrot Top said

The mare beamed when Celestia accepted her baby carrots. While she was not a prideful pony, the earth pony did like when others recognized her talent. But to have the Princess recognize a small time farmer like her was a big event in her life.

"Oh, well I just bring a few with me but you can certainly have them," Carrot said rummaging in the pouch for the sweet carrots, taking care not to drop any in the process, "It's very nice of you to say that you might bring some back with you. If you're looking for more, my farm is just a short trot away from here. That is of course if you're free and wish to do so."

The last thing that Carrot wanted to do was to tell a Princess what she should do. Still there was a sliver of hope that maybe the Princess would love what she grew enough to perhaps support her efforts as she did by visiting Applejack's farm.

  11. Alright, finally got to see this today. I have to say the Season Opener was great!

I love that this episode helped clear up some questions I and others had about the series. Things like how exactly Celestia banished Nightmare Moon, how Discord fit into things, and where the Elements came from were great to show. I like how we see Discord as not being completely good but as a villain who is just playing along and may have a chance to prove he has changed. The idea of Twilight still getting used to her abilities and being a Princess are clear as we see some moments of determination and of doubt. Interesting to see how in Celestia's and Luna's absence Twi is no longer seen as just a friend but a Princess who must be protected. Yet I think the lesson is that as Discord said one shouldn't use power or position to not justify not being able to help.

The biggest thing I liked is the fact that the Elements are now for the moment put to rest. Not that these were a problem, but the season needs something new to focus on rather that the Mane Six defeating a certain villain with them. It also lends to how Lauren Faust initially saw the Elements as not jewelry per se but as a mysterious magical thing now made more magical being tied towards the Tree of Harmony. This basically is closing the book on seasons 1 through 3 which was about harmony and opens the door to something new.

Then there's the Locked Box. Obviously it has to do with Harmony in some way, but I don't think it's another magical weapon like the Elements were. Not sure yet what may be inside. Overall a great opener, perhaps the best of the four seasons so far.

  12. I went to see Equestria Girls with my friends. I admit I was a bit skeptical how Hasbro was about to create a different world that shared some similarities with the show we all know and love. But it turns out it was great.

The storyline at its core made sense: Twilight goes into another world to find her crown and has to adapt to being a human. Sure there were holes in the story, but having watched many movies in my lifetime, there are few movies that are very airtight with the plot. The art and animation was just as good as the show, which I know some would argue that being a movie it should have been better. But it wasn't bad. The music was very good, having several great songs in it. There were also lots of shout outs to the fans like the CMCs, Derpy, Trixie, etc.

Now to a touchy subject: Flash Sentry. I know some are upset that Twi's crush appeared stereotypical or that our lead pony shouldn't even have had a crush, but it was ok. Keep in mind Equestria Girls showed us a typical American high school with cliques, classes, bullies, dances and yes even crushes. Sure it was kind of rushed in, but not really anything annoying.

I wish there was a scene with Twi being in an actual classroom setting, like Science or English because that could have been a time to either show Twilight's awkwardness or her intelligence.

All in all it was a good movie, maybe not the best movie I've seen but pretty good.

Now there are those who wonder how this affects the show canon. Besides maybe a reference or two, I don't really think that much. It's just a little "What If" scenario.

  13. RP Type: World of Equestria

Name: Raven Duskwing (just don't call her "catbird" or "birdie.")

    Sex: Female

    Age: Young Adult

    Species: Griffon

    Eye Color: Dark Purple

Coat: A Blueish Black. The tips of raven's feathers on her wings and the tips of feathers on her head are blue as is a blue around her eyes.

Physique: Raven possesses a primarily black panther body with raven-like wings, talons, and head. Her sleek body makes her agile on land, able to leap great distances with ease. She is also a good flier, having both speed and agility.

    Residence: Cloudsdale

Occupation: Part of the weather team, specializing in thunder clouds.

History: Born in Rockwington, Raven's parents showered her with lots of love and attention to their only daughter. Her mother was a teacher while her father was a historian learning about the culture of the ponies that lived in Equestria. They knew that at even a young age the griffon was very introverted, preferring to keep to herself and avoid large crowds or loud noises which disturbed her. This made her time in school difficult with making friends as others believed that she was simply uninterested in getting to know them. The issue wasn't fixed quickly, but through time and maturing Raven learned to open up more and become more sociable. The classmates in turn saw that she was a wealth of information and someone to turn to for advice.

Ever since she was a young chick, Raven became fascinated by the tales told by her father regarding what was across the Painted Pinto Desert, places where ponies roamed. She learned from him about the history and culture of the ponies, and the more she learned the more she desired to meet them. Raven was especially interested in magic, the kind that ponies possessed, learning it as a hobby of hers. Sadly being a griffon she could not perform the magic like ponies did but it was still enjoying to learn as much as she could. One of the things that did benefit her was learning meditation to calm herself in tense situations and help her focus on any task that she needed to do.

When she was old enough, she bid her parents farewell and decided to make a new life for herself. Crossing the desert she eventually made her way to Cloudsdale, a place that was not overly populated and was intriguing to the griffon being a floating cloud city. Of course moving on to a new place meant that she had to find a job. She heard from her father once about how Pegesai could move clouds around, so she decided to try her skill at this. Even though she is not adept at moving clouds like the other ponies, she is not afraid to do the dangerous jobs like moving the storm clouds to where they need to be. At first she wondered if leaving her home and her parents and friends she grew so attached to was a good idea, especially the way ponies looked at her, thinking as an untruthful or intimidating pony. Yet overtime she tried her best to fit in to the predominately pony city. There were still those who were leery around her, but Raven is as she was determined to show ponies her true side and to learn about the new world she now lives in.

Character Summary: Raven can be described as a very calm emotionally restrained individual. She rarely gets excited or angry about things happening around her and has the ability to shrug off most things that would affect others. Her voice is very deadpan, only showing slight changes in emotions. There some who see her personality as being secretive or that she is uninterested, which only adds to her dark imposing appearance. This is far from the truth, as she wants to make as many friends as possible. Once Raven gets to know somepony and established their trust she will stand by them. There are some ponies or other species that she cannot stand like those that are constantly hyperactive or are negative, and to these she will do her best to ignore them.

Raven is a very smart griffon, reading anything she can get her talons on and having a well stocked library in her home. She finds reading to take her mind off of the cares of the day and allows her to remain calm. Although not a unicorn she fancies books on magic just to read. In addition to reading, she likes learning about other ponies, meditating, flying, and the night sky. She prefers to stay away from large crowds where she feels constrained and uncomfortable. Ponies that consider her threatening or generally bad also upset her even though she does not often try to show this. Overall Raven Duskwing seeks to make friends with the ponies while helping them however she can.
