  1. This is part of the result of the Internet forgetting what a Mary Sue actually is supposed to be in lieu of creating a vague and broad definition, with the intent of shoehorning in any character into the motif that they do not particularly care for. This is especially true when it comes to fan made characters. OC have one or more positive traits? Well that's a Sue. Make them too negative though, then its an "Anti-Sue", which is seen as just as bad.

People warp what Mary Sue means in order to justify their own subjective dislike for a character to justify their claim there is something objectively wrong with said character.

This isn't an FIM or Brony fandom only phenomenon, but a general geek fandom issue. If one is involved enough in Furry, Anime, Gaming, Pokemon, etc, etc. fandoms, one will find this exact same issue in regards to "fan celebrities" or even fandom folks with some fair amount of popularity.

There are many reasons why this sort of thing happens. Partially it depends on how the popular member responds towards their new found fame. Every fandom has its cliques and elitism where some people will suddenly have their new in-fandom fame go to their heads, becoming elitist in their association and having a level of disdain towards "the fanboys", which is viewed as anyone who may be a fan who is not part of their clique. This really rustles the jimmies of the Internet, especially given that fandom stars are often riding on the coattails of actual creators of the show or game they are a fan of (this is much less true in Furry, as most content is original, but famous people can still easily morph into giant elitist jerks).

That all being said, many fandom famous folks are quite decent, friendly, and appreciative but may still get the hate from various corners of the fandom. Why? Well you already nailed it: Jealousy. People don't like it when others manage to get fame (and money) for what they probably do just for fun. Here is a now fan famous persona, making content they love on their own time, being their own boss, setting their own prices, and people are willing to buy; its a small dream being realized. Well for others who simply do not have the talent, or fail to utilize their own, they sometimes simply get jealous that they are not receiving the accolades. Of course they could try and change that, but it is easier and costs a lot less effort to lash out.

Agreed that it isn't just a brony fandon problem. Should have mentioned that in my list. I agree that for the most part this fandom is great and I'm happy to be in it. It's just sometimes I see a comment that irks me which is why I posted that here.

Also agree with your Mary Sue idea. It seems the term went from a character that is unchallenged or unaffected by things to it referring to any character a person dislikes.

  2. More opinions:

    • There are those who are leery about other writers on the basis that they are "not Faust." Really? So, these people are going to ignore/ whine about Seasons 2 onward because Lauren Faust isn't there? Give the other writers their due.
    • Twilight is not a Mary Sue. I wrote a blog here about this, but let me try to sum it up: being a Mary Sue isn't just that a character has super powers or is very likeable. It means that you have a character who is unchallenged by anything that happens to them. Twilight may be a Princess now but this hasn't stopped her from wondering about how she is going to shoulder this new-found responsibility. She has faced many challenges too and is indeed affected by them, unlike a true Mary Sue who in unfazed.
    • There seems to be a backlash regarding some popular members of the fandom. When has popularity become a source of hate? Or maybe these people are just jealous.
    • It like that Derpy acts as the Where's Waldo of the group. As for the backlash in The Last Roundup, it was clearly a misunderstanding of how she should have been voiced and some overzealous parents. While I do understand that disabilities are no laughing manner, some people will find anything to complain about.
    • I would like to see an episode that is just about Luna and Celestia, a Day in the Life of the Princesses if you will.
    • Snowdrop: Great with its animation, bad with its story and characterization. Nuff said.
    • I think the problem with Applejack is that her biggest character flaw of being stubborn has been dealt with earlier on in the series, making her the character that is the least to grow and change of the Mane Six.
    • I wish that Hasbro has their toys more in line with the show. Make a Golden Oaks library playset! Maybe a Wonderbolts Academy one. How about Equestria Girls figures that look like those in the show? Don't make stuff like Pinkie Pie's airplane or Applejack's truck if they aren't in the show! I know that they want to sell as many different toys as possible, but if they pt things in line with the show then they will have still the same output of toys.
    • I'm not of fan of those fans screaming bloody murder about how Hasbro is ignoring the bronies. Especially the news of death threats being sent to DHX. Seriously dramamongers, stop.
    • The fandom (and other fandoms) need to stop and think before making hasty and often wrong reactions to little screenshots or snippets of what those who are part of the show tweet. Period.

  3. While enjoying her morning coffee and a Crystal Berry muffin, Heart Healer idly flipped through the newspaper until her eyes settled on a certain article. An advice column from none other that Princess Cadence? Well, that was news, better than that story about a pony that thought he was a goat. She knew that stallion was bound to pay the psychologist a visit and probably eat some of her important papers along the way. But that was something to consider for later. Right now it was time to decide what to write. She took out a simple sheet of paper, a quill and some black ink. No colors for her ink, for she found certain colors distracting and seeing that she was already a pink pony and therefore was sometimes mistaken from afar of being Princess Cadence, simplicity was best. And so she began to write:

    Dear Cady,

Heart Healer set her quill down for a moment. Cady? It was a very informal name, one that brought forth images of the pink pony's time in school. Of course she didn't have much luck with getting cute names, the best being Hearty, which even that made her cringe slightly. Back to the task at hoof:

It is an honor to meet a pony of your renown. Excuse me if my writing isn't the best as I am usually writing letters to patients, ones that smell of ink and diagnosis. But I digress. As a psychologist I have met many ponies with issues stemming from the simple to the complex to treat. These touch upon matters of grief, loss, or even love. After our apparent return to Equestria and the return an subsequent defeat of... Him... I find there are still some ponies coping with such drastic changes. So my first question that I ask is: How can I help these ponies more than what I am doing? My next question is more of a... personal one. I find myself able to give advice on love with ease by putting it into practice... not so much. Oh enough beating around the Crystal Berry bush I'll just say it that I'm single as they come. So, how is that I'm so easy to explain love but not have it work for me?

I look forward to hearing your reply and wish you good physical and mental health.

    Your Faithful Subject,

    Mind Matters

With the letter composed she mailed it and prepared to head to her office.

  4. "Oh, I should have introduced myself first," Carrot Top said blushing at the fact that the way she greeted the Princess was more like how she greeted a long time friend than a pony of importance, "I'm Carrot Top, owner of a carrot farm in Ponyville. It's a small farm, nowhere near as big as Sweet Apple Acres, but I make do. Oh, speaking of carrots, would you like to try some baby carrots? I know you must be here for the apples like i am, but I always bring carrots in case a pony gets hungry. They're really sweet, like candy."

While she was waiting in line, Professor Krashkop spoke of her failed romance with a pony, something about a perfume he made that the mare did not like. She expected maybe some advice on love from an older pony who would most likely have more experiences with such matters, but instead she received the strangest story she ever heard! She could only imagine being a pony who has lost her pelt due to something sprayed on her, but the chances of that ever happening was slim to none.

"Err... thanks for the advice," Carrot said not knowing really how to respond to such a strange tale, "I'll keep that in mind when I meet Hayseed."

Role Playing Type: World of Equestria

    Name: Zecora

    Sex: Female

    Age: Mare

    Species: Zebra

    Eye Color: Turquoise

Coat: Light Grey with unique Dark Grey stripe markings and Black hooves

Mane/ Tail: Her mane is white and black in a mohawk style while her tail is Light Grey and Dark Grey with a simple styling.

Physique: Zecora has a typical Zebra body. She often is seen wearing jewelry including earrings, neck rings, and leg rings.

Residence: Zecora lives in her hut which is a hollowed out tree in the Everfree Forest.

    Occupation: Herbalist and Potion Maker

    40px-AiP_CM_Zecora.png

Cutie Mark: A spiral pattern with surrounding triangles, a tribal symbol representing well-being.

Zecora received her mark one day when a friend injured her leg. At that time the zebra had been studying making potions but she had yet to actually give one of her concoctions to another zebra due to her worry that something would go wrong as potion making was a very specific and dangerous process. Yet with her friend hurt and the town herbalist was away in another part of the Veld, Zecora mustered up the courage to make a healing salve which she immediately applied to the zebra’s wounded leg. The medicine helped to sooth the pain and aid in the healing process, much to the relief of Zecora and her friend.

    History:

Zecora was born and raised in the ancient city of Boma, located in the middle of the Veld region of Unyasi. Since the town is a major cultural hub where both goods and knowledge are exchanged, the young zebra was always surrounded my new things to learn and discover. Her parents were very loving and caring, encouraging her to learn all that she could. She would read every book she could get her hooves on and would ask many zebra and even some non-zebra who visited her town about their lives and occupations. It was upon speaking with the town’s herbalist that peaked her interest of herbs and potions and what started her on the path that led to getting her cutie mark.

After finding her talent, Zecora decided that she wanted to explore the lands outside of Unyasi where the ponies lived. With her parents’ blessing she started on her journey to Equestria. There she visited the various towns and cities, but none suited her as a good place to live as they were too big and crowded for her taste. She began to feel homesick, longing for the open grasslands of the Veld and of home. After a long journey through the land, she found a very mysterious place called the Everfree Forest, a place that was not controlled by ponies leaving it wild and in the case of many ponies dangerous. She found a hollowed out tree and set her house there as she studied the local flora and fauna and began to make potions. Unfortunately her presence and her reclusive nature made ponies think that she was evil. It wasn’t through a mishap involving six mares, a filly, and Poison Joke that made ponies realize that she wasn’t bad after all and encouraged her to visit Ponyville and mingle with the ponies more.

Recently Zecora has become a much respected member in Ponyville, offering her wisdom and her skills as an herbalist and potion maker to help any sick or injured ponies. In particular she helped a filly named Apple Bloom who tried using a zebra’s potion to get her cutie mark by creating a counter medicine as well as teaching Twilight new magic. Through all her experiences, Zecora cherishes where she came from and the lessons she learned there while she looks forwards to new experiences in her new home.

    Character Summary:

Zecora is a very compassionate zebra, willing to lend a helping hoof to anypony in need whether it means giving her time, energy, resources, or even knowledge to help others. At first she was a little reclusive, but she has opened up more to ponies especially in nearby Ponyville. She is not a very materialistic zebra, as seen when she receives a gem from Spike in exchange for helping him take care of several pets only to turn around and donates it to a Filly Scout. The zebra is known to often speak in a rhyming dialogue. It is unclear whether this is something related to the dialect of the Veld in Unyasi or if she prefers to speak this way, but most who speak with her seems to understand what she is saying clearly.

She is also a patient individual, like when teaching Twilight Sparkle new magic and waiting for Apple Bloom to tell the truth about what happened to the zebra’s Heart’s desire flower. Rarely does the zebra become upset, except when ponies are untruthful, reckless with her things, or are judgmental towards each other. Even when such cases happen as long as the guilty party is willing to apologize and not repeat the same mistakes, she can easily forgive them.

Zecora is very knowledgeable due to her never-ending desire to learn new things and share what she knows with others. In particular, she has great knowledge of the local flora and fauna, especially herbs. She can help identify a certain plant or animal and combine items found in nature into remedies like potions or salves, often to heal. She also possesses a certain degree of magical ability tied to nature like producing water in a cup. Her magic is strengthened through meditation which also aids in calming her. In addition to learning and making potions, Zecora likes the outdoors, telling stories about her homeland and travels, and meeting new ponies and other species.

Her hut is located withing a hollowed out tree in the Everfree Forest and consists of a main room an an smaller area where che sleeps. In the main rooom there are shelves lining the walls with different potions and salves as well as components to make new ones, and in the center on the room is a large cauldron. Her place is now very ornate or showy as it contains only a few bare essentials and some mementos of home like two masks that symbolizing saying “Hello” and “Welcome.” She is also a very orderly zebra who keeps her hut clean and organized.

Overall, Zecora seeks to continue what she has been doing since first journeying to Ponyville but learning all she can and meeting and helping as many ponies that she can.

  6. Hello all.

I'm going to be attending a convention from Thursday 10/24 until Monday 10/28. I doubt I will have access to a computer between these times so I won't be able to post during these days. I will be back on Tuesday to catch up on everything.

So, just wanted to give you a little heads up before I leave for the event in a few days.

  7. Bringing back Scootaloo. Going to recap some things.

Scootaloo smiled as she received a hug from Apple Bloom after opening the super awesome present that the orange filly made.

"Thanks Sweetie Belle, and I'm glad you like it Apple Bloom. The clubhouse will be a great place to put it!"

It seemed perfect to have such a gift chronicling the pursuits of the Cutie Mark Crusaders and the fun they had in their headquarters for them to reminisce and add new memories. As the photo book joined the rest of the presents, Scootaloo was eager to see what else her best friend was going to get. The orange Pegasus watched as Applejack presented her younger sister with what looked like some kind of doll-house-farm thing. Scootaloo really wasn't into dolls but her friend looked like she was head over hooves excited about so that was good. If one day Apple Bloom wanted her to play with it she wouldn't mind if it meant having fun with her friend. Strangely though it looked like Applejack was having as much fun with the playset as Apple Bloom, maybe even more! Grownups were strange like that, asking ponies like Scootaloo's age to "act like an adult" while then playing with toys.

When Rainbow Dash presented her gift, Scootaloo's ears perked up as she watched Apple Bloom open it.

"Oh cool, a hoofball! Now we can play with it during recess. I can show you some great tricks with it."

Now that was something that the orange filly could have fun with. Then Cheerilee presented Apple Bloom with a compass. That would really help in case the three ever got lost on one of their adventures. She just wished that a compass didn't have all those numbers and such but just pointed to where they wanted to go, like some magical compass. She then turned as Rainbow Dash, whom Scootaloo still couldn't get over the fact that her pal looked pretty dressed in that fancy dress, as the mare mentioned gremilns.

    "G...gremlins? What are those?"

  8. "Why yes," Carrot replied blushing a bit as it seemed her secret was not so much anymore, "His name is Hayseed and we met in Mr. Rich's store and now we're a couple and.."

Suddenly her conversation with Professor Krashkop was broken by him mentioning Princess Celestia. Turning around, the mare saw without a doubt that a few ponies back from her was indeed the Princes!

"Hello there Princess Celestia," Carrot Top said giving an awkward bow in her presence, clearly showing the farm pony was not used to being in the presence of a royal pony.

  9. The pink Crystal Pony could tell that the owner of the shop and a stallion were staring at her rather awkwardly, but for the moment she didn't care. All that mattered was that heavenly brew that the unicorn was preparing. Not wasting the moment to take the cup back to a seat, Heart Healer took a sip of it, letting the warm bitter taste run down her throat. Slowly the mare started to wake up as the effects of the coffee began to take hold.

"Thanks," she said to the owner, "I needed that. Yeah, I was at a party last night. The Grand Galloping Gala I think it was called. Guess I'm not the party pony type. All I remember was leaving the party and then waking up in my hotel room. I don't know when I got in or how i got there."

It was then that the stallion offered her a comb to which the mare felt even more embarrassed as she accepted it and began to brush her mane back into some order.

"Thanks Silver Platter. Guess I look really bad, don't I? Oh my name is Heart Healer. I guess you can tell that I'm not from around here. I came in from the Crystal Empire to go to the Gala and to tour Canterlot. Oh, how much do I owe for the coffee?"

    Roleplay Type:

    World of Equestria

    Name:

Scootaloo (nicknamed “Scoots” or “Squirt” but don’t call her “Chicken”)

    Sex:

    Female

    Age:

    Filly

    Species:

    Pegasus

    Eye Color:

    Varying shades of Purple

    Coat:

    A Mango Orange

    Mane/Tail:

Magenta – Her mane is cut fairly short, and both her mane and tail are a little unkempt.

    Physique:

Scootaloo has a typical filly’s body compared to her friends and fellow classmates. Her wings have not fully developed which makes flying difficult. While riding her scooter, Scootaloo is typically seen wearing her purple helmet with two white stripes.

    Residence:

    Ponyville

    Occupation:

Student and Member of the Cutie Mark Crusaders

    Cutie Mark:

Scootaloo has yet to receive her cutie mark.

    History:

Scootaloo was born to two loving parents who showered her with as much love and affection as they could upon the filly. Even at a young age, the orange Pegasus wondered what life would be like having a cool older sister who could teach her things as she grew up. Unfortunately Scootaloo was the only pony in her family besides of course her parents, making her dream just a mere fantasy. Her parents knew that their filly was unique as she seemed to reject the more stereotypical girly things in favor of things like the outdoors, competing in races and sports with others. This made her seem awkward in the eyes of some of her peers, but she took it all in stride in favor of having fun.

At her birthday Scootaloo received perhaps the greatest gift she ever had from her parents, a blue scooter with red wheels. From that day on the filly and her ride were inseparable as she used it more often to go places with than by trotting or galloping. After a time Scootaloo desired to find a way to go faster and to try out more elaborate stunts on her scooter. Seeing how other Pegasai used their wings to fly, she thought that perhaps she could use her wings to propel her when she was on her ride. After flapping her wings as hard as she could, she learned that not only could she now move on her scooter without needing her hooves or a hill to go, she could also achieve even faster speeds when riding. This allowed her to try out more stunts of hers and as a side effect more crashes. Yet despite any setbacks, she continues to perform stunts.

One day when Scootaloo was riding her scooter, she caught sight of a strange rainbow flying through the sky. Upon a closer look, she found that it was a Pegasus who was creating the rainbow, performing all sorts of stunts in the sky that the orange filly could only dream of doing. She gathered up the courage and finally greeted the Pegasus who introduced herself as Rainbow Dash. From that day on Scootaloo admired the Pegasus and sought to emulate her as much as she could in the hopes that when she grew up she would be just like her as well as try to learn from Rainbow Dash as much as Scootaloo could. Her devotion to the rainbow manned pony went as far as to create a club in honor of Rainbow Dash and celebrating her awesomeness.

Despite her desire to be like Rainbow Dash, Scootaloo had one problem that prevented her from being like her idol. Her wings unfortunately haven’t fully developed yet to allow her to fly, something that she wishes to be able to do quite possibly as much as she wants to find her mark. This desire is fueled by the fact that many of her Pegasus classmates are already flying and that by learning to fly she could perhaps spend more time with Rainbow Dash. Although she tries to make it like it isn’t a big deal, deep down Scootaloo feels grounded, unable to achieve her dreams as being an awesome flyer like her idol.

Her inability to fly combined with not having her cutie mark yet has made Scootaloo the target of some bullies in her class, namely Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon. Despite this she does fairly well in school and even met two other fillies, Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle, who lack cutie marks themselves. The three decided to form a club to discover their talent together, hoping to get their marks all at once. Even though they have been unsuccessful thus far, the three have had fun adventures with each other and became good friends.

Recently Scootaloo, who tried to prove herself to her friends, classmates, and Rainbow Dash faced several nightmares while on a camping trip. After meeting a certain Princess of the night in one nightmare and being rescued by Rainbow Dash, she confessed how she gets scared sometimes as well as admitting how she wanted Rainbow Dash to be like her sister. After the rainbow manned Pegasus confessed how she used to be scared when she was Scootaloo’s age and agreed to take the filly under her wing, Scootaloo was happy that she had not only found a pony that could be like an older sister to her but also that she felt confident enough that she didn’t have to prove anything to Rainbow Dash. All she has to be is her friend and that's really all Scootaloo ever wanted.

    Character Summary:

Scootaloo is a filly who likes to prove to others how awesome she is. While she’s not boastful, the orange Pegasus seeks to prove her mettle to others by the way she acts and the things that she does. She is a bit of a tomboy who prefers sports and competition to frilly girly things as she feels these are “uncool.” In particular, Scootaloo prefers the extreme sports like riding a zip line or hiking through the Everfree Forest as a means to not only do fun and exciting things but to perhaps get her cutie mark in doing something awesome. She also is not a fan of big displays of emotions which she calls “mushy stuff” although sometimes gives in to these events like when she tried to help Cheerilee fall in love with Big Macintosh.

Her attempts to prove herself stem from meeting Rainbow Dash and how she seeks to be cool like her. In her mind Scootaloo used to think that the rainbow manned Pegasus was a strong pony who showed few if any faults and thus sought to mirror that perception with her. After learning how Rainbow Dash was afraid of things as a filly, Scootaloo has learned to not judge herself too harshly and to accept herself as whom she was with both flaws and positive qualities.

Scootaloo is very loyal to her friends and seeks to help her fellow Crusaders in any way she can. She is very protective of them especially when confronting bullies as Scootaloo knows what it feels like being bullied due to her inability to fly and not having her cutie mark. She is still a little downtrodden not being able to fly beyond hovering in the air for a while, especially when others bring it up to her, but she tries to not feel upset and hopes one day she can fly like the others.

In addition to her interests in preforming stunts on her scooter, having fun with the Cutie Mark Crusaders, and playing sports, Scootaloo is also good at dancing and playing the piano although looks at these as hobbies instead as potential avenues of getting her cutie mark.

Scootaloo seeks to continue what she has been doing before with helping her friends get their cutie marks, learning to fly, having fun, and developing a closer friendship with Rainbow Dash. One thing is for certain, Scootaloo seeks to do all these things with her own cool style!

  11. Hello there!

You have a good character there. You might want to add more though about how Starwing got her cutie mark, more about her history (her life as a foal, parents, school, how she became a wonderbolt, etc.), and more about her personality (her hoped, dreams, what makes her upset and how she reacts to it, other things she likes besides being a Wonderbolt, things she dislikes, etc.) Basically, the more you put in, the better we'll get to know about your pony!

  12. Well, normally I don't dress up for Halloween, but this time I've been invited to a party where costumes are mandatory. So I'll be going as a mad scientist.

As far as ponies, Lore Weaver will probably dress as a book, Sweet Surprise will dress as a chocolate bunny, Guiding Light perhaps a knight, Watermelon Gush as a bale of hay, Fire Heart as a phoenix, Snow Dancer as a Princess of winter, Sky Flare as a superhero, Heart Healer as a nerdy pony, Diamond Cut as a giant gem, Riptide as a ninja (inspired from a 90s movie called Surf Ninjas) Apple Cinnamon as a scarecrow, and Carrot Top as a pumpkin!

  13. "Ugh my head," Heart Healer said as she slowly walked down the cobblestone streets of Canterlot. The Crystal Pony's normally shimmering form was a little dull looking as bags were around her eyes. The pony had come to Canterlot for the Gala and afterwards a little sightseeing being in the capital city for the first time. The Gala, however fun it was, did take a toll on the psychologist who wasn't used to big parties.

"I need something before I can see this city," she muttered. Just then a pleasing scent filled her nostrils making her follow the scent. She bumped into a few ponies on her way to find the source of that delicious odor until she stood before a coffee shop.

"Coffee," she groaned entering the shop, looking and acting like something from a horror novel than a pony as she approached the counter, her mind driven by the desire for that delicious drink to wake her up.

"Strongest coffee you have," she said not being to form complete sentences.

  14. Carrot Top caught a familiar voice behind her and turned around to see Professor Krashkop there, praising her harvest of carrots.

"Nice to meet you too, Professor. I'm really happy that you like my carrots. I don't know if they're the best in the land, but not to be boastful I think they're the best here in Ponyville! and yes they are really healthy, especially the eyes I think I read. Actually one of the ponies who owns the spa once told me about how carrot oil can give a coat a healthy shine. I haven't tried making a beauty product with my carrots, but maybe I can try."

The once sleepy pony named Maple asked her if there were foals in her future, to which the earth pony started to blush.

"Err... I don't have any foals yet, but I don't know. Maybe in the future. Do you have foals or foalsit Maple?"

the red manned instantly seemed to liven up when Carrot gave her some baby carrots.

"Glad you like them. I might not have that, what was it again, hypoglycemia, like you do, but I know how tired and worn out I feel when I don't have a proper meal or even a snack to get me going. But nice to meet you Maple. Are you from around here or come here often? If so, I do have a carrot stand, as Professor Krashkop said, in Ponyville. So if you want any carrots, let me know! Of course not today since I'm here rather than there."

  15. A blue Pegasus filly flew down the streets of Ponyville towards her destination. On a routine visit to the town, Snow Dancer caught sight of a poster asking for volunteers for a stage show of Charlotte's Web. While the filly read the book, she had never acted before. She wondered what role she would want to play in the show. There was a whole host of animals as well as the owners of the farm the majority of the book took place in. Although she would like being one of the lead roles, she wondered if that was a good idea for a pony first attempting to act. Well, there was a first time for everything, and as Snow Dancer approached the stage which already had a cluster of ponies her age around it.

"Um... hello," the filly said softly, looking at the three ponies, "I'm Snow Dancer and I'm here for the audition for the play. Which one of you is um...(reads the poster) RoseHip?"

  16. It thankfully didn't take much to awaken the sleeping pony. Carrot Top hated to disturb a pony that looked so peaceful but she knew the mare would not want to miss out on getting her apples.

"Yeah you were fast asleep there," she said as the now awake mare realized what she said, "Not to worry. I have to say that was the first time somepony called me their mom, but it probably won't be the last either."

Carrot Top was a smart pony but she had no idea what hypoglycemic meant. The way she figured, the mare was hungry and tired and just fell asleep. It was the way sometimes foals acted after having fun, usually needing to take a nap. She thought about the mare's problem and then had an idea.

"Well I do have these," the orange manned earth pony said pulling a small bag out of her saddle bag and showing the contents to Maple, "They're baby carrots and are really sweet. I carry some with me to munch on. I know you're going to be getting some apples soon, but maybe this will help you feel less tired. Oh, and my name is Carrot Top by the way. What's your name?"

  17. Thanks. I did try and adjust the screws to no avail.

Actually I found out what it was last night. Apparently something happened to one of the ball bearings in the fan making the one blade be pushed down enough to get caught in a slat below. I think if I just trim the one blade it won't catch. Wish me luck as I'm not the most techy person out there.

  18. Hello all.

So recently the fan in my cooling pad for my laptop stopped running (It's a Cool Master cooling pad). The power was still on as the blue LED lights inside were lit So I checked the fan and for some reason one of the plastic blades gets jammed in one of the openings in the bottom of the pad (the long slats are used to pull air into the pad and out the top to cool the laptop). The weirdest thing is it's only one particular blade, the others clearing the openings.

So has this ever happened to any of you before where a certain blade of a fan gets jammed? If so, is there a way to adjust the blade so it doesn't keep jamming?"

  19. Before he could react, Guiding Light along with purple Haze were swept up and given a big hug by their teacher! The colt never expected his teacher to be that happy that he and the filly found the prized present, nor was he expecting a hug even though he knew the teacher was kind. When he was set back down, the colt turned his attention to the presents being opened again. admittedly the colt felt like he missed out on the important moments of Apple Bloom's day, and so he was going to make every moment last! His attention only drifted to seeing Apple Bloom's older sister playing with the farm set like she was a filly! Well, maybe some adults still had a little bit of child left in them.

Guiding Light then watched as Apple Bloom unwrapped up the mysterious small box, revealing a wooden compass.

"Wow, that's a neat gift," he said to his classmate celebrating her birthday, "With that I don't think you and the other Crusaders will get lost!"

Then suddenly Light happened to glance to the side just as a slice of cake came flying right at him! Without a second thought the colt stopped the cake in midair, inches away from decorating his face with frosting.

"Are we having cake now," he asked Apple Bloom with the cake slice still hovering in front of him.

  20. I just need to check up one thing that i had issues with last time involving the bat-winged Lunar Guards. I don't remember what was said, but i wanna relearn what it was before i make her ready

To add to QuickLime's reply, I'd keep her as a regular Pegasus pony as this will be acceptable.
