The MLP:FiM Wiki spells it Philomena, which makes sense considering she's a PHoenix. And though it's not an official source, it tends to be right way more often than not. =3

Being the crazy bird lover that I am, I GUSHED when I saw Philomena in the latest episode of MLP:FiM. Hello all! Glad to be part of a dedicated Equestria community. I've only recently been into the fandom and I love every minute of it. My contributions so far have been few, but I hope to change that in the near future. I've earn my keep as an artist on Deviantart and FurAffinity, so pony fanart should be second nature. But I don't want to simply settle for imitating Ms. Faust's magnificent designs. I want to incorporate my own artistic style while at the same time, paying homage to the MLP design. Buying large, I'm glad I caught on while the series is still petty young, that way I can fully enjoy it with the rest of the pony faithful ^V^
