  1. Well...that was rather hard to choose between :)

Although I agree with Tenkan in that seeing all these familiar characters in even more familiar roles would no doubt be awesome :D

But...I'm gonna have to choose the Old Republic era, purely from a creative point of view....

If you ask me going with the movie plot line would hinder some creativity (As the specific story points are already set out and everyone would know what happens next)

But the OR era would give you more room to work with and make a story that's your own, rather than making an homage to one that's already been seen by millions of people...

But that's just my opinion :P

Interesting insight, thank you Colton! While I may do the New Republic simply because of the aforementioned fact that it's well-established and would let me practice in a set universe, it would also be rather fun to set up my own stories!

  2. Easy exam was easy!

It was like going through the alphabet! :D

    *Fist pump*

I can now sleep some more!

    Ouch.

    *Lays down on his tank*

Sarcastic or not, now you've got me thinking...

...I had no idea others see us that way.

...Then again, we've had worse reputations. :P

At least you aren't viewed as Imperialist gluttons who do nothing but hide behind their moral depravity and big guns.

  3. Greetings! As you've probably gathered from the title and poll, I've been mulling over a Star Wars/MLP crossover idea. Done several times before, I know, but it's been a long time since I've been even somewhat excited about writing. My question for everypony is this: would you like to see our favorite characters dispersed throughout the Old Republic or the original era the movies portrayed for us on the silver screen? I've been thinking in terms of the original episodes, with Celestia as Yoda or something similar, Starswirl as Obi-Wan, Twilight as Luke, Rainbow as Han, Fluttershy as Leia, Discord as the Emperor (obviously), and Luna as Darth Vader (ala Nightmare Moon). The parasprites would be the Stormtroopers!

This could easily be adapted to Old Republic standards and figures, and I would be more than willing to take suggestions for character roles as well. Maybe parasprites as Rakghouls... Thank you for your time and consideration! Who knows, if this goes well I might write both eras out in some epic extended project.

  4. ah, I saw that and thought Animal Crossing. then I remembered that I have over 370 animal crossing tunes on my Ipod XD that's just under half of my songs

so yes, I listen to Animal Crossing music mostly :3 I find it's nice to have while I draw

sorry, I just bring animal crossing into everything I talk about, don't I? ^_^"

I have to stop myself from making music references every time I post. That's actually where my musical interest blossomed, from filling my players with music I enjoyed from games. I eventually wanted to know the bands behind the awesome stuff I was hearing, and branched out from there. Pretty sure it started with Crush 40 doing the "Open Your Heart" theme for Sonic Adventure for me.

  5. I'm not entierly sure ._.

I don't know the names of the genres I listen to, and I never like something simply for the artist. I just kinda find something I like and listen to it. usually, if it's upbeat and catchy I'll listen to it.

When I was younger, I never used to care about music at all. True story brony. In other words, ya got time to get there AC.

  6. I'm going to say exactly what everypony else has, that of course it's possible to dislike anything. That includes FiM. Some people even dislike things for the simple reason that others like it. All for the sake of being cool or hipster or something I don't understand. Reading your post above me, it's true that I've shown some people and it hasn't been their cup of hot chocolate. They may have liked what the show represented or taught in an abstract sense, but they didn't like the show itself. I pitied them and moved on. While

I'm not going to do it here, but one of these days I'm going to be unable to resist the urge to make musical references in every post I make for a day.

P.S. Ya caught me, Dashie. I only read the title and the first few sentences before I was going to post. Entertaining disclaimer.

  7. The end is just another beginning, my friend. I'm not going to make a music analogy (even though I could) but those bronies who truly take the lessons this fandom has to offer into their heart and soul won't lose that any time soon. I for one have donated more to charity in the past year than I have in my entire life, and it's a great feeling. If it makes ya feel any better, there's no true end. Just a transition and maybe reformation. That's half the fun.

Edit: We need brony cards to be official? Harsh... anypony got any leads on a good "artist" that deals in these cards? Can't have Big Stallion findin' me out.
