  1. Cadence blinked and watched curiously as Timid Star hurriedly left the shop with his fudge, tossing a few bits onto the counter as he disappeared with embarrassment hanging about him like a cloud. It was mildly confusing for the mare, considering she'd been the first one to laugh. Granted, she hadn't rolled on the floor and was laughing more about the situation itself, but surely the fact that Timid was much younger allowed him a bit more forgiveness? Either way, Polaris had been rather agreeable about it all.

Her attention was drawn back to Sweet Surprise when she asked about the fudge. She would need to hide the treasures from Aunt Celestia and her notorious sweet tooth, but Cadence figured she could manage.

"I'll take three pounds," the princess whispered after leaning in, a light blush creeping across her cheeks at making the large order. "I'll find a way to keep it on ice and make it last." She turned to Polaris. "How is the life of a noble treating you in the short time since we last met?" she queried curiously. "Well I hope."

  2. Colgate watched Saw Bones out of the corner of her eye as he climbed the book shelves and looked around the various dusty tomes, apparently searching for any information on all things Aquilean. She wasn't necessarily having any luck with the books she was reading at the moment, but at least they were interesting. Various bits of different histories here and there, but nothing on the griffons. Thankfully her companion knew what he was looking for, and brought down several thick books right before knocking into the dentist and scattering the literature.

"It's okay," Colgate managed, levitating a few of the stray books back onto the table before accepting the ones Saw offered. "I'll take a look."

As she perused the new material the unicorn didn't see anything that stood out to her, just mentions of Raptorclaw Canyon and how it came to be. The temple was nowhere to be found.

"Maybe it never made it into the books?" she mused, flipping through more pages.

  3. Cadence smiled and gave an incline of her head to Ice Storm as she introduced herself and explained her situation. It still seemed to be bothering her a bit, but then again the alicorn would be troubled too if she was missing a chunk of her mane. It wasn't something anypony would wish upon themselves, or so she thought.

"Well I hardly think you're notorious," Cadence laughed, sitting on the grass to continue their conversation. "But I do know that Canterlot can be a bit much sometimes. That why I loved traveling so much when I did." She quirked a brow. "And you said you've met another princess here? Which one? I bet it was Aunt Luna, wasn't it?" she blurted, shaking her head. "She always loves the peace and quiet."

As she spoke the royal mare noticed a new pony approaching and turned to stand and face her, nodding in greeting.

"Hello there!" she called. "A wonderful day, isn't it?"

  4. Summerfall floated nearly weightlessly in the thin atmosphere, the Equestrian landscape below covered by a thin veil of clouds as she slowly flapped her wings. This high above her home and the lands around it, problems seemed so far away, almost as though she could just float forever in the endless quiet. This was one of the favorite parts about her job, suiting up in a thermal body suit and searching for any new occurrences in the highest reaches of the sky. The temperature was brutally frigid at that altitude, but she was willing to bet not many other ponies had seen the curvature of their planet either. It was a different world up here.

A twinging numbness in her wings brought the golden pony out of her reverie, reminding her that no matter how warm her body might be, she couldn't fly with wingmuffs. And exposing her appendages to this kind of intense cold for too long was just a bad idea, so she took one more look around the ethereal skyscape before angling downward toward home. Nothing unusual today.

The speed of her descent and the sunlight reflecting off of her tinted goggles gave Summerfall the appearance of a comet falling from above, her wings held tightly to her sides as she plummeted through the cloud cover and burst into the warmer air below. Streams of white vapor clung to her suit before trailing off as she flared her wings and began to glide toward the floating city of Cloudsdale, soaring over the puffy buildings and businesses until she spied the entertainment district below. Soon enough her target came into view, and the weather pony dipped to come to a galloping stop before Opal Shards.

"Opal, hey!" she exclaimed, lifting her goggles and shaking water droplets from her mane and body. "It looks like you found the place okay. You ready to party?" the pegasus squealed.

  5. I'm not really jelly of anything in FoE, mainly because I'm not a fan lol. If I have to be subjected to that Penby, you have to venture into the endless vortex of baseless amusement and love that is my soul. Mainly because my mind thinks too much. You'll be corrupted with unexplainable joy and childlike wonder, and all will be lavender and bells and new age music.
