personally I prefer roleplaying in real time chats, it makes you choose your words carefully and gives you more interaction with yourpartners

I honestly think its more to do with programs like msn or skype allowing the two ponies to be instantly updated on the convo instead of waiting for the page to reload. I honestly dont come on forums because of that reason
