"It seems you are wiser than I am" Amaranth said softly, reaching over he gently patted Gerty's head with his hoof. "You seem like such a nice mare, I'm sure you'd be good friends with my wife. I wish you could meet her but she's out of town at the moment"

"Hm?" Looking up at Gerty, Amaranth chuckled softly & said. "It's rather simple, nothing amazing" He covered the hole with some dirt then stomped on it a bit. "I was young, foolish...Thought that Fireworks & Firecrackers would be my life's work" Amaranth sat down. "Because of that I got my mark much later than most. What I was supposed to be doing was right in front of me the whole time, I'd passed it up often...I was being quite selfish as well"
He gave a little sigh. "I wanted to help ponies by making them happy & I thought Fireworks would do that but, in reality I was just chasing my own dreams" Amaranth started to smile more. "...I really have my son to thank for setting me straight!"

Picking the coins up with his mouth, Firework nodded to Golden Heart. After placing them in his bag he bowed to him. "Thank you so much, I really hope your family enjoys these...Especially Pixie!" Firework chuckled nervously.
"Sometimes the most obvious answer is right in front of us but, we never realize it" Amaranth told her. "It happened to me when I was younger, actually" While he spoke, he reached into his bags & pulled out some seeds, dug a hole with his hoof then planted them.

"Well-" Firework stopped to think again, he nodded then smiled more. "Pay me whatever you want. Your choice!"
"I am Amaranth" The Stallion replied, he watched her for a moment before smiling. "It's because you're consternating too hard on not screwing up, you can't pay attention to your surroundings because your thought space is so taken up. Try not to think of it as much. Just enjoy your life"

Scrunching his face in thought, Firework mumbled to himself softly. He didn't want to over price Golden Heart, especially after he helped him out of that big mess! Finally after a couple of minutes Firework hung his head, smiled, then lifted it to Golden Heart. "On the house" He said softly. "They're just cheap little Sparklers...you really helped me out back there-" Firework began shaking his head. "There is just no way I could put a price on that & our friendship!"
"Oh!" Though he stumbled, Amaranth managed to keep his balance. Shaking his head he picked up his monocle which fell to the ground. "Think nothing of it" Amaranth smiled up at Gety. "Accidents happen, yes? Are you okay though. That was quite a hard bump"

"You're Golden Heart, right?" Firework stood as he greeted his friend. He gave him a welcoming smile then replied. "Yes, I have some green, reds, blues, & purples!" Firework gave a soft giggle. "You are right...they are a little less dangerous than Fireworks or Firecrackers"
Near by at the park, Amaranth was busy collecting flowers & replacing them with seeds so new ones could grow.

Sitting on a dark red blanket with Fireworks & Firecrackers of all shapes, colors, & sizes in front of him Firework sighed. Wiping his forehead he smiled proudly looking at his set up. "I think this looks nice enough. I bet a lot of ponies will buy these from me!" Finally Firework was able to sit down, he'd been on his hooves all day now he just had to play the waiting game.

Name: Amaranth.

Age: Stallion.

Eye Color: Teal.
Coat Color: Pink.
Mane/Tail/Markings Color & Style: His mane is short, wavy, with a long, fluffy tail. Both are Amaranth in color.
Physique: Amaranth is a tall, well built, strong Stallion.
Cutie Mark: A bouquet of beautiful, red roses wrapped in a blue paper.
Origin/Residence: Born in Canterlot, he later moved to Cloudsdale & that is where he now resides.
Occupation: Runs his own Flower Shop in Cloudsdale. He goes out to other places, collects flowers, & brings them back or grows them in pots.
Motivation: Bringing joy to everypony with flowers & having a great business so he can take care of his family.
Character Summary:
History: Amaranth was born in Canterlot to very wealthy parents who wanted their child to become a Doctor someday. However, no matter how much they pushed it onto him Amaranth was just not interested & deep down he felt there was something else meant for him. Soon, Amaranth began taking care of other ponies in his own way, by giving them gifts, listening to them when they spoke, & just being good friend over-all; in fact this is how he met his future wife, Chrysanthemum. While at School, Amaranth had over heard it was her birthday & even though he didn't know her he bought her some gifts. The two of them became fast friends & inseparable. When Amaranth left Canterlot for Cloudsdale, Chrysanthemum wasn't far behind.
Family: Amaranth has been married to Chrysanthemum for several years now. They have one child, Firework.
Cutie Mark Story: Besides helping other ponies, Amaranth had a deep passion for making Fireworks & Firecrackers. Because of this he didn't discover his mark until a little later than most. One day, he decided to go exploring & came across a large field of flowers; they were so bright, colorful, & beautiful he couldn't help but pick as many as he could! When Amaranth brought them home & started giving them out he saw how happy it made everypony. Soon he came to the realization that this is how he'd make ponies happy, this is how he'd make them feel better when they had a bad day, it was then Amaranth got his cutie mark.
Personality: Amaranth is a kind, wise Stallion who loves to put a smile on everyponies face & give advice, especially to those much younger. Because of his peaceful nature he usually gets between violent situations to defuse them by talking with both parties. He is also very protective of everypony; big, small, no matter what they've done he will stand up for them.
Faults: Though he does have a great deal of patience, Amaranth can snap after he's been pushed too far & because of his thick head this can be done if he thinks things aren't done the way he likes so, he is also a little selfish. However, this isn't a daily occurrence, it's actually very rare to see Amaranth snap but when he does...you might want to get out of his way.

With bags on either side of his body filled with Fireworks, Firecrackers, & materials to make more if needed, Firework trotted into Ponyille. Because of his protective parents this was his first time here, they had always felt he was never old enough to travel on his own until today. Firework had intended to sell his Fireworks here but everything was so distracting; there was just too much to see!
"I wonder why mom & dad never let me come here" The wide eyed colt asked himself while taking a whiff of some flowers outside a small Home."Oh!"
He was then quickly distracted by some pastel Butterflies passing by. Forgetting all about why he was here, Firework started to follow them mindlessly with a goofy grin on his face. "Wait, come back!" He shouted to the creatures as they started to get ahead of him, Firework started to flap his wings to fly after them but, because of his heavy bags he was quickly pulled back down to earth with a loud 'Thud!'
"O-Ohhh...o-oww that hurt!" Firework groaned in pain as he lie on the ground, a bit dizzy from the sudden impact. After clumsily stumbling around, Firework regained his balance & it was then that he realized all the things in his bags went flying everywhere. Panicking, he began running around trying to collect them. "Oh no, oh no! Mom & Dad are gonna be so mad at me if I lose any of these!" Firework paused for a moment, a Firecracker in his mouth. "And not to mention the money I'll lose!"

I had assumed that no one saw him differently & that it didn't matter in the slightest. Yes, he's often mistaken as a Filly but doesn't let it bother him. Like you said, his biggest motivation is his family so, why then should his appearance matter? That's just how he was born.
I'm sorry but that's just my view on it. If you want me to change it, I will; no one is wrong or right here. I do see your point, I just wanted to get mine in as well.

And yes, it took me two days to finish this up. I started working on him just before I came here, I went back and forth, forth and back through the rules, maps, everything for this Role Play forum.

Occupation: Makes & sells Fireworks/Firecrackers. Since he doesn't have a business he sets up a small area in town market place's & sells a few.
Motivation: To make his parents proud by owning a Firecracker/Firework business someday.

History: Firework had an uneventful & happy childhood, he enjoyed jumping from cloud to cloud then falling off those clouds when he got distracted by things such as bees; needless to say he was injured a lot.
Parents: His parents were Firework/Firecracker makers who, while good at their job, could sadly never make enough money for their own business. They usually made them for family gatherings or other small events.
Cutie Mark Story: While he'd watched his parents make Fireworks/Firecrackers from an early age with enthusiasm it wasn't until he got a little older that he started to pay attention & really memorize everything they did. This was put to the test after his Father fell ill & his Mother had to leave town on emergency just before an event; of course they were going to cancel it however, Firework took it upon himself to make as many Fireworks & Firecrackers as he could by himself. Tirelessly, he worked for hours upon hours using what he knew. At first he failed miserably, every time he went to light them they exploded in his face, but he never gave up & finally when he succeeded Firework got his mark. It was then that Firework knew what he wanted to do; make Fireworks & Firecrackers for a living & own his own business. To him it's a badge of honor, it shows how hard he's worked for his family.
Personality: Firework is a fun-loving colt who is very friendly to a fault, he easily trusts anyone he meets & considers them a friend right off the bat. He is loyal, protective, & giving to them as well. Despite his name it's rare for Firework to become angry, usually he is quite care free, tending to let things side off his shoulders. It seems the only way to get him to rage is hurting one of his friends or doing some criminal activity.
Faults: Though still easily distracted & way to trusting, a major fault of Firework is his tendency to worry even over the smallest things. When it's at it's worse it leaves him inactive, he'll just crawl into bed & cry about whatever's bothering him. His biggest fears is letting his family down.

Hello, I'm Umbrella & to be honest; I've never been any good at these introduction pages, but I'm going to try for you guys. I am a young lady from America who enjoys Video Games, Manga, Anime, Cosplaying & especially Role Playing. I've actually been an RPer for sevral years now.
I watched M.L.P after hearing buzz about it for sevral weeks it sparked my curiosity so I watched it & found it really enjoyable. The characters were all adorable, the art work was stunning, it was funny/cute, & it wasn't like anything I'd seen on telivsion in recent years. My favorite character is probably Fluttershy because I'm able to relate to her the most; like right now I'm shaking from nervousness as I write this!
As for finding this forum, Canterlot, that was out of curiousity too. I wanted to see if there were any nice little M.L.P groups I could join for the heck of it! So, I hope I'm good enough to be among all you glorious bronies....if not then, I understand.
P.S; I apologize in advance or after if my poor grammar hurt your eyes. I've been trying for years to get better at it but, I still have such a hard time.
