(Hope it's okay if I join! ) Beetle Bubble has been wandering about Ponyville for a few minutes now, He came back after a long time of traveling. It was nice to refresh the memories of when he was a young colt, with his friends. On the unicorn's horn was a bug, a rather large, red dragonfly perched at the tip, it was several inches long with big black eyes. It just stood there. Possibly an occasional buzzing of the wings. Beetle, himself was an average black unicorn, a little taller, with a few golden stripes on his coat. His mane and tail were messy, and each had both gold and black coloring. He had a red saddlebag draped over his back. "It's been too long since I've last been here..." He says in a low tone, mainly to himself, his dark green eyes scanning over the various small structures and various ponies walking the streets. Walking past the group of ponies, he stopped, his head tilting slightly as he went into thought, dropping his rear end to the ground in order to sit, his right front hoof lifting to his chin. "If I can remember..." He said, once more in a quiet tone to himself, before a light rumbling comes from his stomach, this followed by a huff. "Quiet, you." He said to his stomach, before his horn began to glow a dark green, and a rolled up paper glowing the same color as his horn, levitating to the front of his face. It unrolled and was a list of food establishments around Ponyville. Of course when he made this list, was way back, new places could have opened up, old ones could have closed down. Blinking a few times as he stares at the list, humming lightly in thought.

His original talent was going to be communicating with bugs, in general, but MyLittlePonyTales thought it was too earth-pony like, so I switched it to bug-themed magic. I will remove the slit pupils, though. I just figured slit pupils over glowing horn, since the bright light would startle the nocturnal bugs. But never thought of the complexity.

Origin:He was born and raised in Ponyvillle, for his own reasons, as he grew older, he began traveling much more, sometimes in Everfree forest. Occupation: Beetle is a traveling pony, he'll usually assist ponies in need, and typically get a small payment. Occasionally, he'll collect a few herbs and find gemstones in caves as he travels and sell these. Motivation: He loves to travel, doing small good deeds to help other ponies in need. No matter the problem, he'll at least try, and ask for nothing in return. On his traves, he'll frequently dig around, in hopes of finding a bug he's never seen before. Personality: Beetle's a very generous pony, quite friendly as well, He's also somewhat distant and cold at first, but very easy to warm him up. Likes: Bugs!, socializing, sweet treats, assisting ponies in need, warmth! Dislikes: Bright lights, Cockatrice, trickery, lies, cold weather, loud sounds. Character Summary: When beetle was born, he was round, chubby if you will. This reminded his father of a beetle, and his mother of a bubble. This gave him the name "Beetle Bubble." He grew quickly, lost all that baby fat and gained a masculine pony appearance, broad chest and all. He made many friends when he was a young colt, he never really left ponyville. He was the average colt, running around the village with his friends, being mischievous as every colt is, but in all good fun! Sure not to hurt anybody, or cause any permanent damage. Just innocent pranks to pull on various ponies. As he grew with his friends, they became far more adventurous. A little too adventurous, leaving town for several days at a time, just to random places, and to see the other towns. Though one day, they began debating to explore Everfree Forest or not. After several weeks of building up courage, the decision was final, they packed up supplies and left their homes, and went to the forest. they figured it was three of them, they would be safe if they stayed together while in there, They were surprisingly right. They all had their reasons of entering, one wanted to find caves to go gem hunting, the other wanted to see one of the horrific monsters and live to tell about it. Beetle, however was more interested in the bug life. For the most part, they were all successful in their goals. But they ran into a cockatrice as they made their way out of the forest. With Beetle's first thoughts were to protect his friends, eyes closed, he charged, his horn glowing a dark green. As his horn connected with the cockatrice, it sent the small creature airborne. Before it could get back up, it was swarmed with bees, causing it to flee from the three unicorns in an attempt to escape the stinging insects. Now safe, the trio began running, as they did, Beetle's cutiemark appeared, signaling his talent was bug-related magic. The two others returned home, though Beetle only returned to say bye once more to begin his unending journey. Companion: A large Dragonfly, approximately six inches long, wingspan of twelve inches. A dark red coloring and black eyes. The insect's name is "Speedy"

Thank you! A question for any of you RP'ers, here. I was wondering for a Tier 3 character, all it says is it needs to be a background character. Does this mean I need to pick a character from the background in one of the episodes? Or can I create a new character from scratch?

Hello, I've recently converted to bronyism. I'm all most a full time employee (I work six days a week, 35+ hours.) I'm also going to college for a degree in entomology. Yes, I do favor the little things that most likely make your skin crawl, haha. Once you get past their appearance, they're fascinating creatures. When I'm not studying or working, I'm taking care of my several exotic pets. If I manage to squeeze in a few extra minutes, I'll get some video gaming, Magic The Gathering, or most likely, some My Little Pony videos. I'm all most tempted to start roleplaying, as well. My story on becoming a brony. I purchased Star wars: The Old Republic. I thought it would be a nice game. I was looking up videos to see what kind of character I'd most likely prefer. Well, I was completely oblivious of this community, I didn't even know it existed! And I kept seeing MLP videos in the suggestion. I clicked on one just out of curiosity. And as I watched the video, my eyes were opened to an entirely new world. It was a video of when Spike and Rarity were falling, they did an audio of Star Wars, I found it hilarious, started browsing various other little videos. Next thing I knew, I watched all the released episodes, and had to stay up all night to finish my homework, haha! I've got to say, I love this community, and I regret nothing of becoming a brony.
