  1. Rok wrenched himself away from the book when he heard Spring call."I'm coming!" he yelled as he ran towards the door. He soon arrived inside and was very impressed by the sight he saw. "What great looking sandwiches! Can't wait to have one! Thanks so much for the food!" Rok said, as he sat down.
  2. Rok was thankful for the water, but took only a small sip not wanting to be a burden before continuing on. The work took several hours, but finally he had about five times as much iron as he would need for the sword, and Dunder had an even larger amount. Rok then heard the boss calling over, "If you guys are done, your payment is getting to keep that one-fifth of the iron and leave. Your getting no bits after being hired on such short notice." He paused for a moment, before breaking out in a smile and adding, "I guess I should have mentioned that a bit earlier."
  3. Rok was unsure what to do when Spring left to go make lunch. . . . but he decided to sit under a nearby tree and read his book on weapons, which was in his satchel. He found it very interesting, as always, although he had already read it four times. He sat there reading and waiting for Spring to call him inside.
  4. Rok was about three quarters of the way done, and began to move faster when he saw Spring nearing completion. He finally finished a little bit after she did. "You should probably teach me a better way to do this sometime.... but at least the jobs done!" He said as he looked up from the work.
  5. Rok kept surveying the field as he walked forward and backward, pacing, looking for every last weed. He was about half way towards the middle when he looked up and noticed Spring checking on him. He waved and attempted a reassuring grin before continuing the work.
  6. Rok thought this sounded good, and he began looking. He was very surprised by the fact that there were very few weeds in the field at all. "Wow, you really take very good care of your crops. I've only found a couple weeds so far. I am impressed!" Rok said, as he looked around for more weeds.
  7. Rok was suddenly awakened. Then her tail swept across his face. It felt soft, and he thought it smelled nice, until his tickled nose suddenly reacted in the form of a sneeze. Rok then got up, and hastily said, "Good morning.... ohhh I've got a nasty headache and I don't even remember why." He then walked toward Spring. "If I remember correctly, you said you had breakfast first, and then went out to water the crops and check the weeds. Today I'll go check the weeds while you have your normal breakfast, maybe I can save you some work."
  8. Rok twisted and turned in his sleep, but he remained glued to the floor. Every once in awhile his tail sharply moving as he dreamed.
  9. Rok walked towards her room, but then decided better of it as a wave of tiredness hit him full force. He collapsed right where he was standing and snuggled in, quickly falling asleep on the floor.
  10. "I didn't mean all at once, I meant over time.... I --" Rok cursed himself for not knowing not to ask the question like that. He then began to walk towards her to explain himself, when he tripped and fell, hitting his head on the wall. In a dizzied haze he got up on his hindlegs and fell backwards again. He then attempted to walk towards Spring, but he looked like he was drunk as he wobbled side to side towards where she had gone, his hair all disheveled.
  11. "Yes I am! I do lots of things, and I want to learn about all sorts of people. So I usually travel around, sometimes randomly, sometimes with a particular goal in mind. I settle down every now and then, and then I always end up setting off again. It's interesting learning about different ways of life from the people that live them." Rok looked down at the table for a bit, and then back up at Spring, "Over the time I've traveled I've gained a few good stories, and I'm glad for that. I've also learned a lot. . . . like how to read, and manners, and metal, and weapons, and flying, and Pegasi and stuff." Rok was quickly carried away with what he was saying, but eventually returned back to Equestria. "So do you usually sell the crops or do you just eat them yourself?"
  12. Rok began the hard, long shift. It was much harder than he expected. He sweated and sweated, almost parched as he waited for the water to arrive. so this is work, huh. He thought to himself. Dunder looked like he was dealing far better with the heat and the monotonous labor of chipping away small bits of rock. Often the workers would call over some pointers and help them out. Rok thought it was strange that they had hired them so quickly, things didn't usually work like that around here. But he worked on anyway, ignoring his thoughts.
  13. Rok ate his dinner quickly, and then spent the rest of his time talking. "So, what do you usually do around here? On a day to day basis I mean."
  14. Rok ignored Dunder's reaction and walked over to one of the workers. "Hi, I'm Rok Anarch! Can I get some iron here anywhere?" The worker looked at him pointedly. "We work very hard to mine this, and we can't just give it away. I assume you can't pay for it because you would have just bought it instead of come down here.... you can always get a job mining, we always have a need for workers." "Mining!? Sounds great! When can I start?" Rock said excitedly. "Well you can start now actually... but you'll be stuck here until your shift ends. You'll be given water, but little food. And I'll only allow you to keep one-fifth of what you mine.... by the way, I am the boss around here. Grab a hardhat and a pickaxe and start working if you want to." the worker answered. "Sounds great!" Rock said, moving to go get a pickaxe.
  15. Rok was very glad to see Spring had returned. "Let me help you with that." Rok said, and quickly took the cushion and put it over the dangerous area. He then helped Spring get to her seat, as she was limping. As he sat down to begin dinner yet again, he remembered to say, "I'm glad that your hoof isn't infected and will be fine." He gave her his 'famous' grin, a trademark grin he often sported when feeling a variety of emotions.
