  1. Renliss and I are planning on holding a spelunking tour of a rather impressive cave that Pierce found while in the foothills east of ponyville. We are looking for ponies interested in a little slice of adventure, without going completely off the map.(There is a map of the cave, mostly) Ponies from all backgrounds are welcome, so long as they are capable of listening to instructions. The spelunking tour will take most of the day, and ponies will be required to bring their own food; there is a natural spring inside the cave, so water will be plenty.

Ponies must also be prepared to make a short walk through the fringes of the Everfree Forest.

The meeting place will be under a large old oak tree on the eastern border of ponyville.

Feel free to post here if youre interested/have ideas

List of ponies attending, and their role:

    Pierce: Spelunking Leader

    Silver Heart: Assistant Spelunker

    Jade: Spelunker Security

    Cloudchaser: Spelunker

    Geary Twist: Spelunker

    Herbal Cure: Spelunker

    Ironmane: Spelunker

    Insight: Spelunker

    Dunder Blust: Spelunker Security

Here is the map of the explored tunnels.

    Basic Descriptions

    Basic Cave Description:

The cavern runs deep into the hills east of ponyville. The rock in the outer caverns is mostly limestone, with streaks of granite, quartz, and various other igneous rock. There is a narrow, shallow stream flowing out of the cavern before snaking its way through the forest.

Basic Description of each cave section:

Entry tunnel: The entry tunnel is rather smooth compared to deeper in, due to exposure to the elements.

Bat Cave: Just past the entrance to the caverns, on the right, is a short, low tunnel leading to a small, round chamber. This area is home to a rather unusual breed of bat, with yellow stripes on them. Not much else of interest here.

The Hub: The hub, as its name describes, is the central chamber of the caverns, if not the largest. The first noticeable feature of the hub upon entering it is the massive limestone column in the center of the chamber. Dotting the walls are tunnels of varying size. The stream is wrapped along the south side of the hub, before going down a side tunnel and into the wall. There are several stalagmites and stalactites scattered around the room, with one being nestled happily in the center of a small pool of water, where the stream had widened.

The Crystal Hall: The large tunnel connecting to the north-east wall of the hub leads to the Crystal Hall. As the tunnel gets further away from the hub, the limestone gives way to solid granite, streaked with precious metals. About halfway down the tunnel is a massive violet crystal embedded in the wall. Upon close inspection, the crystal is emitting a faint glow, somewhat reminiscent of moonlight. Further down the tunnel, the pale light bleeds into the tunnel, from a more intense source.

Upon entering the Hall proper, you can see there are crystals of all shapes and sizes jutting from the walls, floor and ceiling. There is a single granite pillar near the entrance. In the center of the hall is a lake, with a small island in the center of it. On this island is a gigantic crystal, at least 30 feet tall, and ten feet across. It pulses with a slow, irregular rhythm. Almost too quiet to hear, a low hum permeates the air.

The lake surrounding the crystal is perfectly clear, and is as clean as can be. It seems to be fed from an aquifer, but the lake is to deep to tell, it fades to black, rendering the bottom invisible.

The Pit of Doom: The pit is a section of tunnel in the south area of the cavern, accessible from the hub. The room itself is dotted with columns, stalagmites, and stalactites, and is mostly limestone, with streaks of iron and other metals

Various side tunnels: There are a number of side tunnels, most of them are only partially mapped, and branch out into further tunnels. Two of them are dead ends, though one is due to a cave-in. While some of the tunnels seem to have formed from erosion, most of the tunnels deeper in seem to have formed when the rock contracted, splitting along fissure lines and weak points.

  2. Your school sounds... really nice o_o

All my highschools vending machines used to sell were vitamin water, protein bars, and there was an old coke machine in the annex most of the student body didn't know about that hadn't had a price update in 5 years.

    I jelly :x

might be cause my school is a college.

  3. If there was a vending machine that provided fresh, healthy food at a reasonable cost, I would participate. It is hard to imagine such a thing being financially viable. The meals that I make myself cost me between $1 and $5. If it cost me more than $4 to get two sandwiches and some carrots, I might still consider it a waste.

they have vending machines like that at my school. its the spinny one with all the little doors. sells sammiches, salads, fruit cups, bagels, etc. refridgerated, and stocked daily.

  4. Chances are that hasbro is afraid to invest time and money in setting up higher quality toy lines, because by the time they get things rolling, for all they know the brony fandom will have dissappeared. They might just see us as a fad. As for the derpy being available at comicon, being it uses a factory mold, they can give us our "shoutout" without changing their factory lines.

  5. I think it would be rather easy for hasbro to expand their market to us bronies. All they would need to do is step up their toy quality just a bit: better painting, cutie marks on both sides(for the smaller ones), better materials, etc. Along with that, ship their toys to a more diverse selection of stores, and the income will easily outstrip the costs. I live in a major metropolitan area, and pony stuff is very scarce. At the very least that should change.

Also, I think hasbro is reluctant to change their marketing plan for A: aforementioned 'it works, dont change it', and B: They're afraid to change it, because in the time it could take to get everything finalized and rolling, for all they know, the adult pony fandom could dissappear. They may see bronies as nothing more than a fleeting fad, and dont want to risk time and money.

  6. I was part of the Furry fandom with Laydee Kaze about half a year ago, and can conclude in saying that I strongly recommend not joining it.

Bronies have common ground, and the fandom is founded on a show which teaches morals and standards. Furries are not, they are a selection of people which.. for the majority.. use the fandom as a means of getting laid or finding 'cheap' partners as they are too socially awkward to do so in real life.

Now you may think 'Oh well I'm trolling', or 'I've just had bad experiences'. I've had bad experiences yes, but I'm not trolling. I have a very level headed opinion of the fandom which I have concluded from viewing many different aspects of it.

Over here in the UK, I was on Tv describing what Furries were to a (pretty crappy) ITV2 show. I was asked by the studio to go down, as every single other person they asked on the biggest Furry forum had turned down the opportunity, as they were scared they'd be made out as being bad people. I worked with the producers, organised a group of friends and headed to London and recorded what was a very good piece of publicity for the fandom. Uncle Kage (one of the most famous and well respected Furs) met me at a convention to say it was the best piece of media he'd ever seen portraying the fandom.

All fun and games? Not really.. practically EVERY single Furry on the forum that they'd scowered hated me. I received death threats, abuse, insults, everything. I got nothing but **** from it before they'd seen it, people saying they were going to find me and kill me for accepting. Then after seeing it, no apologies or anything.. in fact.. some people still hate me for it, even though they like the publicity.

That's one experience, the others, are extremely similar in nature. I have lost count of the times I have attended meets and have been inappropriately touched, groped, flirted on, spanked or something else of the sort. Almost every single furmeet, and numerous times. I have been asked to go to peoples house, very bluntly, for dirty business. There have been furmeets where people sit in corners and grope each other, there have been furmeets where people have literally masturbated in the corners of venues. It is disgusting.

But this is what the fandom IS. The fandom prides itself on being something which everyone can get enjoyment out of in the way they see fit, and prides itself on being open and accepting of almost all things. This openly accepting environment has allowed a LOT of its members to openly, and inappropriately display a highly intrusive sexual manner, which has become the standard. In the few times i had complained about these public sexual acts (which let's remember, are illegal), I had been labelled as a troll, and homophobic.

This is a terrible fandom, there are a few nice people in it.. but the nice people I've met are either 1 or 2% of the people who visit furmeets, or the extremely popular furs on FurAffinity, which are hard to get in contact with.

    Stick with Bronies.. trust me.

    Wow. Just... wow.

  7. Roleplay Type: World of Equestria.

    Name: Pierce

    Gender: Male

    Age: Just barely a Stallion

    Species: Unicorn

    Coat Color: Iron Gray

Tail Color & Style: Medium length, untidy. Rust brown with rust orange stripes in it. Often is dusty, and sometimes has stone chips in it.

Mane Color & Style: Short and untidy, often with of dust and chips of rock in it. It is almost always held back by the enchanted goggles he has to see in the dark tunnels, because lanterns are too dangerous down in the mines. Same colors as the tail.

    Eye Color: Teal.

Cutie Mark: A light gray drill.

Physique: Pierce is a bit shorter than the other stallions, and is lighter built.

Origin:Born and raised in Las Pegasus.

Occupation: Miner, Digger, Archeological Excavator. Anything that drilling and digging can get to.

Motivation: Pierce isn't exactly sure what motivates him to dig. All he knows is that when hes in tunnels deep underground, slowly scraping his way further, he feels at peace.

Likes: Digging, rocks, tunnels, caves, cloudy days, rock carving.

Dislikes: Fire, spicy food, clear skies, outdoors, coffee, sandstone.

    Character Summary:

Upon first inspection, Pierce is a quiet, reserved pony. He tends to speak slowly, and almost always seems to have a somewhat incredulous look on his face. He always has his trusty drill with him, which his father gave to him when he earned his cutie mark. It hasn't left his side since.

Personality: Pierce is a somewhat introverted pony. He spends more time digging than he does talking to ponies, so he's a bit unsure around others, and keeps mostly to himself because of this. Pierce isn't exactly the smartest pony, and his knowledge of things outside the tunnels can be a bit... lacking at times. He is mildly agoraphobic, preferring to have something over his head instead of open sky.

Birth Town and Stomping Ground: Pierce grew up with his parents in Las Pegasus. His father is a unicorn miner, and his mother is a pegasus chef.

The Thrilling Cutie Mark Tale: For the longest time, Pierce didn't have a cutie mark. Long after his classmates had gotten theirs, he still was a 'blank flank'. One day, Pierce's father got injured, and couldn't go down and help the other miners. They were behind schedule, and he was going to get fired if they couldnt get their quota up. Pierce snuck into the mines, and after pleading with his father's crew, they let him help. He quickly discovered that he had a knack for reading the rock, instinctively knowing where the weak points were, and when the rock was too unstable to dig further and needed supports. With him helping them over the next couple weeks, they got their quota up, and he saved them all their jobs. During this time, he discovered that digging was his passion, and a drill shaped cutie mark appeared.

Current Lifestyle: Pierce currently works as a freelance miner/digger, since his parents insisted he go out and see the world before chaining himself to the long hours of a mine in Los Pegasus.

Plans for the future?: Pierce isn't sure what he wants from the future. All he really knows is digging, and once he's too old to do that... Well, he'll get to that when it happens.

  8. I think I'd have a pretty easy time of it. And yeah, they figured out the basic size of the mares, assuming cows there are the same size as our cows, in applebuck season AJ is standing on a cow, which gives a great size reference. So I would be almost twice as tall as the ponies, but from the looks of it, their doors are between 4 and 5 feet tall for regular housing, and their ceilings higher, so architecture wouldnt be a huge issue. I would miss meat though, but I'd deal.

  9. It's a tough tossup between party of one and lesson zero, but Im gonna go with party of one, lesson zero might be a bit much for a first time viewer. I'm surprised that 'its about time' isnt a choice, its got a large dose of humor, lots of trolling, and you dont need to know everything about twilight, the ep defines it all for you. Twilight+Pinkie+Spike going metal gear? Sure to make someone crack a smile.

  10. Roleplay Type: World of Equestria.

    Name: Citrine Spark

    Gender: Female

    Age: Mare

    Species: Unicorn

    Coat Color: Bronze

Tail Color & Style: Long and unbrushed, orange with amber stripes in them.

Mane Color & Style: A bit on the short side, so it doesn't get in her eyes while she's working. Unbrushed, just like her tail. Same colors.

    Eye Color: Violet.

Cutie Mark: A silver ring with a single sky blue gem.

Physique: Spark is taller than most mares, and on the slender side. However, she looks graceful instead of gangly.

    Origin:Born and raised in Canterlot.

    Occupation: Traveling Jeweler.

Motivation:Spark enjoys making interesting and unique jewelry from what she finds wandering around Equestria.

Likes:Gems, Metals, shiny things, bananas, caverns, mountains, the spa, making things for friends.

    Dislikes: Rain, spicy food,crowds.

    Character Summary:

Spark is a detail oriented, if not organized pony. She's sociable enough, even if she can be a bit slow to catch on sometimes. She lives a simple enough lifestyle, but enjoys being pampered now and then, and loves going to the spa with friends.

She grew up with her parents in Canterlot, living in the flat above their little antiques shop, tucked away on a side-street.

Cutie Mark Story: Citrine helped her parents by sorting things that came into the shop. One day, while looking through some old tomes a pony had sold them, she discovered spells for shaping and treating metals. After poring over the tomes, and practicing the spells, she started playing with scraps she collected from broken antiques. She discovered she had a knack for creating attractive and unusual pieces of jewelry.

One day, while she was making a sunstone amulet, a posh looking stallion wandered into their shop. While she worked, he was chattering with her parents, something about finding a gift for his wife. While they were conversing, he looked over and saw the amulet Spark was working on. Walking over to her, he inquired about the piece's origin, and she replied that it was of her own design. Amazed that a filly had created such a beautiful piece, he immediately offered to buy it when it was finished. After she finished making the amulet, and completing the sale, the stallion pointed to her flank, where a ring shaped cutie mark had appeared.

Current Life: Spark disliked her parents' complacent way of selling their wares, waiting around in the little shop for ponies to find them. So when she was old enough, she took her business on the road, traveling from town to town, selling and trading for what she needed.

Future Plans: In the future, Spark plans to set aside enough money to open a jewelry shop on one of the main roads, where all the ponies will see.
