  1. I got turned onto this show by my buddy, Canon (yeah, I know. BassCanon), and I just haven't been able to stop watching it. There are currently 7 complete seasons with an 8th kicking off, soon. It's got so much awesome stuff. It's got mythology, cryptozoology, angels, demons, vampires, changelings (which are only a small difference from the FiM changelings), werewolves, muscle cars, and feels galore. I've almost finished every episode of the currently available 7 seasons, which is the best way to go because this show is all about continuity (even to the point where there are still characters and references from season 1 popping up in season 7). Honestly, this is definitely something to watch. It's killed almost all of my free time waiting for season 3 of FiM and book 2 of LoK.

  2. Treble watched the first mare trot away, then looked back to the other mare, who had begun talking with the speed of two Midsy's. She let out a small blush of embarrassment at the mare's assumption that there was something wrong, and immediately began fumbling her words, realizing that she may have come off as being antisocial. "Oh um no I um... sorry, I'm just um... not used to you know, talking to new ponies."

  3. Okay. A lot of you know that I absolutely frickin LOVE muffins. I mean who doesn't? Muffins are awesome. A while back, I posted a thread called "Feelin Derpy Today" in which I talked about an amazing muffin I found in the most unlikely of places. Well, tonight, as I was playing GW2, the power at the wifi cafe went out, so I decided to do something (semi)productive.

So, faced with hunger, and 13 bucks cash in hand, I slapped on my Brony shirt, grabbed my keys, revved up the Scatmobile (my car), turned on some Tomb, cranked up the bass, and headed out on my quest to find one of two things: Amazing Muffins, or pure madness.

My quest took me all over the Hampton Roads area, looking for the best place to find the best muffins at any time of night. I went to numerous Walmarts and Farm Freshes, 7-11's and beyond, yet was met with only disappointment, and lack of muffins. However, at one stop, I found a gem.

I found a massive blueberry muffin at a Wawa close to base. Best part? The price. $1.63

Look forward to more muffin additions here. Or if you know anything about muffins im the Hampton Roads area, let me know.

  4. Treble looked up at the DJ, pure fury in her silver eyes, as she glared out from beneath her icy blue mane. There would definitely be repercussions for the oh so cheerful DJ, the first opportunity that presented itself, but for the moment, the vocalist/ violinist had another matter to attend to. Midsy's shoutout had inspired two of the mares in the club to approach her. As the first one appeared, she started mumbling something about a loner stool. The term was no doubt previously coined by the enthusiastic mare behind the turntables. She offered a kind smile to the mare. "Nice to meet you, Fantasy Trope. My name's Soft Treble. Or just Treble."

She then turned to see another mare prancing up to her. Note to self: Break record collection over Midsy's head. Treble smiled at the mare, attempting to be sociable. "Hi, Sweet Surprise. I'm Treble. It's nice to meet you both."

  5. Midsy looked out at the ponies in the club, which counted up to four, and the bartender. She dropped the first record onto the turntable, her own special blend of electro-magical music filled the club, the bass notes thumping through the subwoofers, as she stretched her lips into a daredevil grin, as her mane hung over her face, moving as she bobbed her head in time with the kick. She kept her eye on her friend, Treble, with her cider. Deciding that Treble had been enough of a party pooper, she magicked the microphone up to her face, and called out in her cheery tone. "Hey, everypony! I hope you're having a great time!" She then pointed her hoof at Treble. "Somepony get that party pooper off her loner stool, and all of you get out on the dance floor! YEAH!"

  6. Bass was taken by shock, surprise, and sickness all at once, as the door swung open, and a familiar pegasus came trotting in, each hoofstep reminiscent of a snare drum being thrown at his face. As the pegasus began speaking, all he could hear was "Wub wub yaw yob yob," as his senses slowly returned to him. He tried to pay attention to the stallion, but his stomach overpowered his ability to listen, as the sound of his stomach churning filled his ears.

After a few seconds, he looked up at Sound Wave. Uh... Oh yeah! You're the dude from that one place... with the thing... that one time... with the... hold on." He then decided it was time to relieve the burning in his stomach... all over Sound Wave. After releasing the first charge, he fell over on his side, and ended up on his back, hooves in the air. "Okay. I feel better."

As if on cue, one more burst shot out straight up, like a fountain, landing in a puddle next to him. "NOW I feel better."

  7. Bass looked at the piece of the freshly baked bread, and munched on it, as he watched the short exchange between mother and daughter. He snickered at Lilia's reaction to her mother's answer. He loved to see his fillyfriend blush, and was more than eager to see more of it. After finishing his slice of bread, he looked back at the photo album, and the evil grin on his face grew, imagining the limitless potential for embarrassment that it held within its covers.

"I'm sure there are plenty of lovely pictures within that album that I would love to see. May I see them?"

  8. He's done animations before, including a near-perfect replication of a Hearts and Hooves scene, so I'd say he's got most assets done already.

Considering he says he completed this animation in 24 days (over a period of 3 months), I'd say he just had to create only a few assets. If he really built this entire thing from scratch in less than a month then he must have had a lot of coffee.

Anyway, easily the best fanimation so far, with an underused choice of characters to boot.

Yes. The Hearts and Hooves repli was absolutely amazing, not to mention hilarious.

  9. Black. The young rockstar was swimming in an infinite blackness... or maybe the lights were just off. Either way, the pounding in his head wouldn't let him even think about it. It felt like he was at one of Midsy's performances, what with the way that everything was going "wub wub wub wub wub."

He rolled over on his side, and felt himself roll onto something. He really wanted to find out just what it was, but he was fairly sure he lacked the ability to open his eyes at the moment. After a few moments, he managed to open his eyes, and notice... pain. The small amounts of light in the room were just angled properly to hit Deep Bass square in the eyes. He could just barely hear ponies talking outside. It didn't sound good. Thinking quickly, Bass grabbed his aviators off the ground a few feet away, and placed them over his eyes, being sure to turn away from the light. The only thing that was on his mind was spoken laboriously.

    "Oh, Celestia... Where am I?"

Deciding to take matters into his own hooves, and backed toward the window, making sure not to let any of it hit his eyes. As he opened the curtains, light filled the room, and Bass became a vampony, dropping to the ground, and clamping his hooves over his eyes. He quickly opened hus eyes, as he heard hoofsteps coming toward the door to the backroom he had somehow found himself in, and looked up at the closest wall, appalled at what he saw: a rather artistic hoof painting of himself, drawn in mud with "All hail Deep Bass" written above it.

    "Hmmm. That's actually pretty good."

  10. The scene was set. The club had just opened its doors for the evening, and the party was set to begin. The blue lights weren't exactly to the mare's liking, but they weren't worth complaining. The neon sign out front read "Aqua's," and the interior was strikingly true to the name. The bar was of a flat silver color that the unicorn would've called grey any other time. The chairs and stools were all of a cerulean upholstery, with Silver trim, the tables matching the color of the chairs in their cerulean hue. Even the dancefloor matched the theme, with its grey carpeting, accentuated by cerulean swirls.

Normally, Soft Treble wouldn't even think to come to a place like this, let alone travel all the way from Fillydelphia for such an attraction. However, the circumstances were slightly different, tonight. Ever since her brother had met his fillyfriend, Treble didn't see him around the house too often. And just the day before, her friend, Midsy had pranced in the door, begging Treble to come to Canterlot with her, to watch her perform. How could she say no? As Treble sat at the bar, swirling her glass of cider, she was beginning to think of a few new ways.

Meanwhile, backstage, Midsy was pulling together the final preparations for her performance. It wasn't exactly her usual performance, which was actually playing the tracks that she had written. No, this performance was a bit more laid back. She was asked to DJ for "Mares' Night" at the Aqua. And how could she refuse? Soon, she stepped out onto the stage, and set her selection of records next to the turntables, and looked out at the ponies that began to file in, beaming all the way.
