  1. Midsy was quite proud of herself, for gathering do much food for the critters, however when the hungry animals started crowding around them, she did the first thing she could think of. Within an instant, she had hopped up on the wagon, and was throwing berries to the critters, trying to keep them at bay with a barrage of nuts and berries. Just when all hope seemed to be lost, a yellow Pegasus landed, and talked the critters into backing away. Midsy jumped down off the wagon, and pranced over to Fluttershy, pure enthusiasm dripping in every word, as she bounced around Fluttershy, squealing with delight. "Wow! That was AWESOME! How did you do that? Can ya teach me? Huh? Can ya? Huh?"

  2. Bass offered a flattered smile, as he rubbed the back of his head. He wasn't expecting such a warm reaction to his rather harsh critique, but he was glad it wasn't taken the wrong way. "Well, I guess music and painting are both rather deep in their emotional sides. It can be expected, I suppose."

  3. Bass stood from his seat, and trotted over to the painting, adjusting his glasses, and scanning over the picture. It didn't take him long to figure it out, having done things like this before. Normally, he would've played along and spent a few more minutes, just to keep the artist happy, but after seeing the way he snapped on simple foals, Bass was feeling like he was just challenged. He turned and looked at Palétte, a serious look on his face. "Well, judging by the vague and undetailed nature of the painting, I'd wager that this painting was more than likely inspired by an inner turmoil of sorts. Perhaps a feeling of loneliness. Perhaps the artist, during a late night binge on whiskey, and hard cider with a splash of fine wine to keep up appearances, felt some futility within himself. Said futility possibly brought on by a lack of true friends. Regardless, the feeling burned within him like a flame on the plains, so in order to get the feeling off his chest, he painted the feeling to canvas, effectively allowing the world to see his pain. Therefore this painting makes me feel two things the first is that the artist should really find a better place to stash his liquor, and two, it makes me feel sympathy. I feel for the artist, and would be rather proud to call him a friend."

Bass looked back at the foals, who were now staring at him, wide-eyed, and slack jawed.

    "Heh… heh… Too detailed?"

  4. Bass had finally gotten a chance to gulp down a well deserved sip of water, all the while thinking about the leadership position that he had put himself into. The early morning hours having flown by rather quickly, as he and his team had just finished leading the first flock of birds back to Ponyville. Placing the empty glass back on the table, he gathered his nerves, and looked around, trying to pick out his crew. He gave his wings a quick stretch, remembering to keep off his bad leg, as he slowly lifted off the ground, flying back to Hoss, landing softly on three hooves, as the small songbird kept its roost in his mane. "Alright, let's gather up the rest of the team, so we can get back to it. We've probably only got two more trips, so the sooner we hop to it, the better."

  5. Bass had only just arrived, and had failed miserably at making small talk, when he heard a voice from behind him. He looked, and saw the pink earth pony who had just arrived. He listened nervously as she spoke, and replied, his own nervousness staining his words.

"Oh, um… hi. Yeah, I don't work here. I uh… just stopped in to uh… see what was here, now. I'm Deep Bass, by the way. Bass for short."

  6. After what seemed like an eternity, Midsy finally pranced out of the woods, her saddlebags bulging from the massive amounts of nuts and berries that were being sheltered in the bags. Feeling quite content with her accomplishment, she pranced over to the pony who had just brought up a cart of fruits and veggies. The enthusiasm in her voice could brighten anypony's day, as her cheerful demeanor reverberated in her words. "Wow! That's a lot of food for those little critters! I'm sure they'll be really happy with all that food! Hey! Where do we put all this stuff?"

  7. Bass nodded at Hoss, a piercing determination in his eyes. He managed to land softly, keeping his recently doctored leg raised off the ground. He looked back at the mares enjoying their lunch. "Yeah… I'm good to fly. I'm ready when everypony else is."

[[i think the migration team should move to the Weather and Animal thread. Seeing as how we're working with the nest making and food gathering team.]]

  8. Bass had finally finished resting up after Dunder's torturous medical treatment, and was slowly hovering over to Hoss, adjusting his glasses on his face, the clear amber lenses showing his eyes, unlike his aviators did. "Where's everypony else? We've got to get moving."

  9. That'd be a pity if her eyes were blue: if they were red, it would make for a great nod toward the fanon.

However, being blue would, IIRC, fit with a fan theory that unicorn magic colour is based on eye colour.

Numerous fanfictions have covered the theory of Unicorn Magic. I especially like the explanation in Allegrezza, where the Unicorn's magic aura is originally colored after body color or mane color, but when the unicorn falls in love (or whatever nonsense) the aura changes to the color of the loved one... But then that raises the question of Twilight's Magical aura. In the first few episodes, it was purple, but later on in the series, it changed to red. Eeeeyup. My thoughts exactly. Well, regardless. If her eyes really are blue, I've got some timetraveling to do. I'd have to tell my past self that her eyes are really blue, and don't feature her in two fanfics where her eyes are red. Whoops.
