If many of you have not guessed yet, I take some pleasure in messing with my friends and co-workers. I always try to keep it light though and harmless, and always try to ease up before it gets out of hand. I'd like to say that this was a recent development, but unfortunately I have always, well, been somewhat annoying since I can remember. Granted I was quieter and shier back when I was younger, but I still had my flair when given the opportunity.
This conversation took place sometime around July I think. Maybe June, not certain. Any who, I had posted this on another thread here on the forums. But, seeing as I'm making a habit out of posting such conversations here in my blog, I figured I'd just transfer it over here and give you kind ponies something to read while I write up another one of the conversations I had with my brother.
I like to use MSword to type them out and then just copy and paste them here to the blog. That way I don't have to worry about loosing my progress while typing on the forum thingy. Its happened a few times... don't ask but just be content in knowing I am regretting having a mouse with more than 3 buttons on it.
    But yeah, enjoy Bronies!
Manager - "Chonico, can we talk w-"
Me - "Can bees squawk?! Ah don think so!"
    Manager - "Hu-what?..."
Me - (Come on say it... no way he's going to say it)
Manager - "What? No, I need to talk to you wh-"
Me - (Oh sweet yes!) "You need to walk to the zoo!? Then who's stopping you??"
    Manager - "..."
    Me - "..."
Manager - *disappears back into the back room*
Co-worker - "Why do you that to him?"
Me - "Whatever do you mean darling?"
    Co-worker - "..."
Me - "No, seriously, you're gonna have to be more specific. I did a lot of things just now like breathing, looking at him, talking..."
    Co-worker - *sigh*

How's everypony doing? Good? Great! I got news and the news is that I have recently been made a manager at the video game store I work at. Ain't that great? I have power now! I mean, who's crazy enough to give me power!? HA! My store manager and I did have a very long conversation though, but, before I regale you with that, I will unleash onto thee a bit of my ramblings.
Now, like many Bronies here, or at least I imagine many of us fall under this specific category, many of us have jobs. In this day and age, starting a job when you are in your teens is a vital part of growing up. Well, at least that's my view on it.
Even if the job you have right now is not your dream job, or simply a means towards an end to achieving your dream job. Having a job teaches you to be self-reliant, how to work with others, and the value of the sweat on your brow. Some may have simple easy jobs and other may have extremely demanding jobs. A job can be as simple as flipping hamburgers (No offense to anypony) to performing heart surgery. The thing is, that no matter what job you do or for whatever purpose you are doing it for, the main thing that you learn is to be responsible for yourself and for your actions.
Not to sound like an old man with his rambles, and I don't say this with the intention to insult or insinuate anything about anypony that reads this... But I feel that that is one thing that is lacking in today's youth as well as young adults. Responsibility.
Since I was young, and I mean early teens, I learned the hard way that your actions, even small ones, can have a direct impact not only on yourself, but on those around you. My motto since then has been that "What's done is done and cannot be undone" which is pretty basic in its meaning. You are "responsible" for your actions, either physical or verbal, and must accept and handle to the best of your ability and beyond what those actions bring about. There are no take-backs in life.
Now, I am an easy going individual who is down to earth, likes to joke around, act like a goof and goof around, and above all likes to have fun. Honestly, its rare to find those kind of characteristics mixed in with responsibility, or at least in my experience it has been.
Given all that though, I know I am not perfect. I never ever claimed to be perfect (although between you and I, I am damn near god like... What? What's with that look?). I have made a lot of mistakes, big and small. But, no matter the consequences, either economic or physically or emotionally painful, I have done my best to be responsible.
It has not been easy, but, I guess I have always taken comfort in knowing that I am only responsible for myself since I am single and do not have children. This is perhaps one of the reasons why the conversation I had with my manager when I was promoted was somewhat... concerning and worrisome...but entertaining with my usual flare.
Manager - "Come on to the back Chonico. We need to discuss something."
Me - "I'm sorry I ate your pudding and I'll go to the store and get you one right now."
    Mngr - "...What?"
    Me - "Whoops"
    Mngr - "Seriously?"
Me - "What? No! I was considering it and wanted to gauge your reaction."
    Mngr - "..."
Me - "Still in the mini-fridge, you have my word."
    Mngr - *sigh*
    -In the back room-
Mngr - "Okay, I spoke to the District Manager about you becoming a Manager here."
Me - "Seriously? I thought we were just joking around about that?"
Mngr - "What? Why? Where you joking around?"
Me - "No, but considering I talked to you about it like 5 months ago... I thought you were just leading me on."
    Mngr - "..."
Me - "I'm sorry, please continue."
Mngr - "God I hate you sometimes..."
Me - "I love and tolerate you too boss."
Mngr - *odd stare* "Right, anyway, congratulations..." *hand shake* "You are now our 4th key-holder."
Me - "Awesome! Now the managers of this store are at full rank. What level up power do we get?"
    Mngr - "..."
Me - "You know? Video game store? Leveling up? Skill points to distribute?..."
Mngr - "Yeah, okay, we just have a few things to discuss."
    Me - "Okay."
Mngr - "First off, you are one of my best non-manager employees... Even if I do hate you sometimes."
Me - "Love and tolerate boss... Love and tole-"
Mngr - "Shut up... Point is, I never have to worry about you when you are out there. You do what you have to do. I don't have to challenge you or dangle a prize in from of you to make you do your job. I ask and you do it. You are honorable, honest, and responsible about your work. I like that."
Me - "Well thank you! You do an awesome job too!"
Mngr - "But, there are some concerns about you being a manager."
Me - "... I want my compliment back."
Mngr - "Too bad... Listen, there are three things I want to talk to you about. First off, I know I don't have to worry, but becoming a manger has a way to go to some people's heads. I know you will treat everyone with respect and use your best judgment because I've seen you do it even when people don't deserve it."
Me - "You have my word I will not fall to the darkside."
Mngr - *sigh* "Please take this seriously. I just want to know I won't regret it."
Me - "Don't worry, its my coping mechanism. I'm just giddy with excitement. Plus, did Albert Einstein regret the atomic bomb?"
    Mngr - "..."
Me - "Right, bad example. How about -"
Mngr - "Shut up... I forget who I'm talking to. Actually, that brings me to my second point which is that you don't have a filter."
Me - *looks at coffee machine and box of coffee filters next to it*
Mngr - "Don't you dare... Look, listen, half the time you say really random odd things and I honestly don't know how to react. Good thing though, you know when to stop. If not, one of us would have already hit you."
Me - "Okay, I'm confused, not having a filter simply means you say hurtful things without consideration, right?"
Mngr - "You're right, I don't know where I was going with that. Guess I was trying to sugar coat it. Listen, you are a rambling loon. Better?"
    Me - "Touchy..."
Mngr - "Store manager privileges. Look, since we are about to start hiring for seasonal help, I just want to make sure you won't cause them too much discomfort with your odd ramblings, okay?"
Me - "Cross my heart and hope to fly, stick a cupcake in my eye."
    Mngr - "... Seriously?"
    Me - "Seriously."
Mngr - "Fine, I'll take it. Third thing. Like I said, you are responsible. Thing is, as a manager, you are responsible for everyone else as well."
Me - "I kind of expected that, yes."
Mngr - "If they mess up, it reflects on you. If they want to keep their job, you have to make sure they do their job. If not, you and they will loose their job. Understood? Your job is now to make sure they do their job. If they mess up, you need to call them on it and coach them. I want you to turn them into more "comprehensible" version of you. Got that?"
    Me - "Uh... huh..."
Mngr - "What? No witty remark?"
Me - "No, its just... I was expecting what you just said. Me being responsible for them. Just, now that its actually happening and its sinking in... I'm a little bit freaked out to be honest."
Mngr - "Heh, who knew that's all I had to do to throw a wrench in your gears." *pats me on the back* "Don't worry, you'll do fine."
Me - "Uh huh, yeah... I could really use a muffin right now."
Mngr - *hands me his pudding from mini fridge* "Congratulations manager."
Me - "I'm still going to have to go get you one from the store, aren't I?"
    Mngr - "Yup!"
I am no longer freaking out about being responsible for others. Well, not as much anyways. But I am confident I will do my best to, well, do my best at this.

    How's everypony doing? Good? Great!
Today I thought I'd talk a little bit about the relationship that my brother and I share. Him and I have been together since, well, since I can remember. We are actually twins, so, yeah. Not identical twins, but the other kind of twins. I forget what we're called. Paternal Twins? Any who, before any ponies run out of the room screaming, "OMG! There's only two of these magnificent stallions left in the world?! I need to get me one!" (yes, its my blog so I'm allowed to toot my own horn) it should be noted that him and I are nothing alike .
Him and I really don't share that much in common. In fact, we are complete opposites in every possible sense of the word. This of course leads to some interesting conversations, especially when it comes to my love of ponies.
When I first discovered the magic that is My Little Pony, the first thoughts that ran through my head were that I had to share it. Much to anypony's surprise, my brother was not the first on my list. I first infected my friends (Magic of friendship, duh) and then I tried my brother. I had just bought my Applejack pony with the brush-able hair. His reaction was well within my expectations...
Me - "Hey dude, you want to see something awesome?"
Bro - "Ugh, okay, what is it?"
Me - *shows first 5 seconds of first episode."
Bro - "AWW DUDE... Are you gay?!"
Me - "Yes, and I'm coming out to you because twincest is wincest..."
    Bro - "..."
Me - "All homophobia aside, sit down and watch the first two episodes with me. You may just like it."
    Bro - "Ugh, okay..."
So after watching the first two episodes, with breaks between each episode, and convincing him to at least watch "Bridle Gossip" and "Party of one"...
    Me - "So?"
Bro - "I've lost all respect for you..."
Me - "I can live with that. So I take it you didn't like it then?"
Bro - "You realize this is for little girls right? Why do you like it?"
Me - "Its entertaining, funny, the plots are awesome, great voice acting, the animation is beautiful, and the characters are endearing."
Bro - *rolls eyes* "Whatever, just... don't fill the apartment with your girly show nonsense."
Me - "Yeah, no, that's not an option..." *take out Applejack still in the box*
    Bro - "Aww damn it..."

    Howdy ya'll!
Like every pony else here on the forum I have been rather busy writing up replies and thinking ahead to future post in the "Running of the Leaves" event. As such, I really haven't had much time to write anything for this blog since I have been busy with work and the required social interactions of everyday life. You know, going out to get some sunlight, hanging out with friends, watching people fall down on their skateboards and laugh. The usual stuff.
A while back I put in an order online for a Pony T-Shirt from Welovefine.com. I bought the red shirt that has Applejack standing in the center and the words "Wanted - For being too cute." I thought of getting the gray Rainbow Dash t-shirt that said Brony on it, but since I really like Applejack, that thought soon flew out the window (No pun intended).
I received it in the mail a few days ago and decided to wear it when I went to the mall and the game store I work at.
I always wear an open button shirt on top of my t-shirts and have been told a few times that that is out of style. Same has been said about my Hawaiian shirts. A few more remarks have been said about me being stuck in the late 90's early 2000. Honestly, I think by now people that know me would realize I really don't give a hoot whether I'm in style or not.
I like my shirts and I like being comfortable. I utterly refuse to wear my pants hanging off my butt, wearing loose tennis shoes, and shirts with logos I don't recognize or understand.
And yet, every day it seems to be the same. Always the same reactions of "What are you wearing? Dude, those are some ugly shirts. Did you mug an old man for that shirt? Here's a 20, go get yourself a nice shirt." One of these days I'm just going to take that 20 and put it in my pocket and walk out to buy more Hawaiian shirts.
Any who, the reactions from my co-workers weren't any different when I came in with my Applejack t-shirt. It went something like this...
    Me - *enter store*
Co-worker - "Jesus Chonico, what are you wearing?"
Me - *Turn down to look at jeans* Um, jeans?"
CW - "No dude, What. Are. You. Wearing? *tugs on own shirt to show what he meant*"
Me - " A t-shirt? You know, I'm pretty sure I played this game when I was in first grade. You better have some graham teddy bear cookies ready as a reward since I seem to be getting all the questions right."
CW - *mumble* "No fool! *sigh* Your shirt! What's with the horse?!"
Me - "My horse is amazing?"
    CW - *stare*
Me - "Give it a lick. It tastes just-"
CW - "NO! Shut up! Just... shut up" *walks away towards other side of counter*
Manager - *walks out of back room* "Hey Chonico, what's with the horse on your t-shirt?"
CW - "Oh god, don't... Don't encourage him please!"
Me - "Oh? This is Applejack. She's awesome and cute."
CW - "Mother FF- Why didn't you answer me when I asked you!?"
Me - "Because he has seniority and you weren't being specific."
CW - *stares, walks into the back room*
Manager - "Why do you do that to him?"
Me - "Funny, he asked me the same thing a while back."
Manager - *stare* "You know, he's going to hit you one of these days."
Me - "And rightly so I should say. I'll ease off a bit."
Manager - "Good, so what's with the horse?"
    Me - "Applejack."
    Manager - *confused stare*
Me - "Do you know what a Brony is?"
    Manager - "No..." *raises eyebrow*
Me - "Awesome, look it up and get back to me." *walk out of store and then come back in*
Me - "That's right. Almost forgot. Do we have any copies of Dead Island left?'
And that's how I planted the seed of confusion into my fellow co-workers. Whether they'll bite, I dunno. Guess we'll have to wait and see. Sadly though, we ran out of copies of Dead Island. The whole city of Tucson has been sold out for the last few days.

    Howdy ya'll!
Well, here I am trying out the newer features of the forums. I have to say that so far I think a lot of it has been for the betterment and improvement of the forum itself.
There are two things though that bug me about these new improvements. The first would have to be that I can no longer tell which post and forums have been updated. In the previous version of the forum, you had a pleasant little sun icon letting you know that somepony had posted a comment or such... I miss this. Still, we will survive without it.
The second thing that bugs me is that I can't seem to properly upload the few pictures I have to the galleries. I keep getting an error everything I try to upload a picture and so far I've failed 8 out of 10 times when trying it. The two pictures on my gallery were the only ones fortunate enough to upload. Now, considering I don't have many pictures to upload, then I really don't have that big of a problem with it. It just bugs me is all. Maybe this is something that requires troubleshooting? Perhaps on my end?
Aside from those two teed-bits, forum looks great!
