I've watched this (and the intro it's based on) about 50 times or so over the past few days. And the only thing I can think is: "I SO badly want to make a pony version of this!". I wish I could draw. Maybe I can fake it with clips somehow ¬_¬

Seems a lot would like to see the Sea Ponies. I wouldn't mind if they didn't show up, though I didn't watch the older series, they leave a bad taste in my mouth. Sea Ponies don't have any nostalgia factor for me. I guess a single episode appearance wouldn't be bad.

Honestly, Sea Ponies would be jumping the shark and then taking that same shark and throwing him in a fridge and then proceeding to nuke that fridge.

Diamond Tiara strutted into the great hall like she owned the place. Her mother, resplendant in a flowing emerald green dress, walked along side her, nodding to various other high-society types as she went. Her father hadn't even made it inside yet. He knew everypony and had been halted at every step by old friends, acquaintances and clients looking for "a quick chat". Diamond and her mother both knew what that meant. He was going to be out there for hours. So much for family time.

Diamond looked around at the outfits of the other patrons with varying degrees of interest. Here, a pegasus wearing an uninspired brown dress that did not complement her pelt colour at all. There, a unicorn wearing an absolutely gorgeous red ballgown, a Clopvin Klein original if she wasn't mistaken. Diamond herself was wearing her newest and best dress. A long, white gown, studded with diamonds and amethysts. Her purple and white mane was done up in a fashionable bun and she was of course wearing her namesake tiara, her prized possession postively shining under the lights of the main hall.

"I think that maybe you used too much silver polish, dear." said Diamond's mother, smiling slightly. "I can smell the stuff from here."

"It is making me a little woozy, but the awesome sheen is, like, totally worth it!" Diamond responded, tilting her head proudly up. Across the hall there was a brief yelp as a waiter was blinded by the light reflecting off the Tiara, and inadvertantly spilled a tray of drinks over some poor patron. Diamond barely noticed the commotion, instead trying to admire her own reflection in the wine glass of a nearby Stallion. After deciding that her mane was perfect and that her tiara was straight she took another look around the hall. She kept her eyes open for her best friend, Silver Spoon, who she knew would also be here.

THREAD NECROMANCY! RISE FROM YOUR GRAVE!

So I've read a few more fics I enjoyed recently.

Misted Stage. MLP meets Arabian Nights meets Doctor who. Starring Braeburn. If that hasn't gotten your attention I don't know what will. It's a good fun story with action, adventure, romance, drama, suspense, Pinkie Pie, everything! The author was very happy to know that I was gonna reccommend it to others. ^^

Forever and Beyond Forever. Read the first and be sad. Then read the sequel and be happy. It's a good feeling. Not much more to say, other than it's rare to see a fic that stars Photo Finish. Part two also has Octavia. :3

Paradise. Oh, Gods my heart! Don't let the "Normal" tag fool you. It has its Sad and Grim moments. This story filled my mind for a solid week or two after reading it. I have felt genuine emotions reading this fic; happiness, sadness, anger, fear. Oh my word and it's not even complete.

Minor thing I noticed: In Griffon the Brush Off, when we first see Gilda, Rainbow Dash greets Pinkie with "Morning Pinks!". I don't think that nickname as been used anywhere else in the series.

Eh, I look at these options and none of them really interest me. I wouldn't use a member gallery, and probably not the instant messenger. And while events are cool, I think they should be rare, and therefore more special. The spoiler tags and strikethrough have already been added so that's cool.

Hmm. Here's something that might sound like it's coming right outta nowhere but I've seen forums with dice rolling built into them for gaming. I don't we don't use dice in normal RP, but I've got Plans (yes, with a capital P). :mrgreen:

I don't think so, there's two different structures. The first is more like a simple cottage, albeit with fancy pillars and whatnot. The second is more like a tower.

Huh... Those pillars look very Roman don't they? And Dash's gala dress had a golden laurel wreath... I'm sensing a pattern here.

Best I can think of is Appalantis, though that joke has kinda been done with Appleloosa. Altailantis maybe?

"Thanks Miss Cheerilee! I will!" replied Diamond Tiara, moving over to the cabinet and pulling out a large blanket that she draped over her suitcase. When she heard that the dreary looking foal was allowed to do his presentation inside she scowled a little, but then brightened up as a thought hit her. Oh well, mine will look better out in the light where everypony can see it. Still, why does this nerd get special treatment? And did he bring his Mom for show and tell? How totally lame!

Tiara went to sit down at her desk, passing by Sweetie Belle on the way. She had neither forgotten nor forgiven what she and her blank flank friends had done to her Cutecenera*, the damage to her reputation being severe for one who lived for popularity, and she was itching for payback. Narrowing her eyes at the young unicorn, she was already planning her first insult of the day when the look on Sweetie Belle's face stopped her. The white-pelted foal's eyes were completely focused ahead and a faint smile had formed on her face. Tiara turned to view the target of Sweetie's gaze.

Him? Really? I thought opposites attract, but obviously dorks attract dorks! I bet I can totally have some fun with this...

Deciding to save her breath she quietly sat down at her desk and smirked to herself.

It's not quite Lyra levels of sitting, but she's getting there. She just needs more practice and she'll be slouching like a pro!
