I've watched this (and the intro it's based on) about 50 times or so over the past few days. And the only thing I can think is: "I SO badly want to make a pony version of this!". I wish I could draw. Maybe I can fake it with clips somehow ¬_¬

Never heard of bubble tea before- I just looked it up, it looks delicious

I do like my animes, watched quite a few in my time, though not lately. Last one I remember watching is Squid Girl (which was awesome). I didn't like Haruhi at all I'm afraid (I just despised her as a character). Also all anime fans should be required by law to watch Genshiken.

Never played Emperor before. Sounds like fun. I've done Two-Headed Giant, which I guess is similar.

A variant my friends and I used to play was simply called Allies. You need exactly five players. Your allies are immediately to your left and right. Those sitting opposite you are your enemies. You win when both your enemies are defeated and lose when your allies are defeated. Creates a pretty nice diplomatic game where you basically have to decide who to fight and who to save. Getting your allies to stop fighting each other long enough to take down one or your opponents takes skill and is very rewarding.

I generally avoid anything tagged Grimdark or Sad. I don't think there's anything wrong with that but I like MLP 'cos it makes me happy.

I did a search and couldn't find any topics like this, which was surprising really. Anypony got some fan fiction they'd like to share? I don't normally read fanfics, though thanks to ED I often find myself checking them out occasionally, and I'll admit that there are some gems in there.

Memories of Those Friends Who've Gone Before Us is pretty damn awesome and thought-provoking too.

Cargo Cult is a silly comedy parody of /co/. As is Ponies Discover /co/. Both of which are a good laugh.

Poisoned Sugar is a Doctor Who(oves) crossover story. It's a little... dark in places but still a good read.

Yeah, I know that feeling of not having enough time to watch everything, then also keep updated about ponies and pony threads. =p

Tell me about it. My feed-reader tells me I have nearly 150 vids from that site to watch x_x. Admittedly I don't watch all the vids anyway but still...

I, too, got sucked into the fandom through CR's video. The guy is awesome, so I knew if he liked ponies it was surely worth a look. Over the past couple of months I've been going to TGWTG less and less. I just find everything pony to be so much more entertaining these days

It's a free Photoshop-like program called GIMP*. It does pretty much all of what Photoshop does, though I'm finding it hard to learn because the interface is layed out strangely. I'm still considering looking for another program.

It was your birthday yesterday? Well then Happy After-Birthday!

I was pretty bummed on the day, but I did get over it. For my last birthday (was the 6th of this month) I planned ahead and invited my friends for a meal weeks in advance and had them RSVP. It worked well and we all had a great time ^^. And hey, I also went on a fun bike ride. I went to the woods with my parents and we saw a weasel and some swans! I guess bike ride = fun birthday. Glad to hear you had a good day too.

As you say, it's about attitude. I've had crummy birthdays because I was in a bad mood and refused to enjoy myself, and awesome birthdays despite not doing anything special because I was in a good mood. I suppose the same can be said of any day really.
