Welcome aboard Cotton Kandii! Trust me, you'll love it here.

I've done this with two different tests. First one I got Luna, second I got spike.
Meh.Says it all really.

Dear Princess Celestia,
How do you do that "blowing in the wind" thing with your hair while indoors? Seriously.
Your Faithful Student,
Diego

Nice to meet you MrAnthology! Welcome aboard!

Through a random search I ended up finding this page: http://mlplexicon.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=mlpfis&action=display&thread=363. I thought it was a pretty interesting read, hearing the reactions to the first shots of the show before it came out. I had to laugh at her surprise at seeing brown and grey ponies XD I never took any interest in the original MLP so I never even considered that that would be weird. Also, were there no boy ponies at all in the old series?
Looking at the screenshots I noticed all kinds of little things I never saw before too, like the cloud trees and that cool mural in Celestia's throne room.

anypony here ever played tyrian?
YES! I am so glad that there are people who remember that game. Forget Touhou, Tyrian is the greatest shooter of all time.
As for other retro games, I do love the old snes and genesis (mega drive) games. I have a gameboy advance (highly underrated) with some good games on it. And of course my N64. A friend and I started up Mario 64 again. We intend to get every single star. I also have an arcade emulator (yeah, yeah, I know) to play some of those games that never got a home release. Oh, and Dreamcast may not be "old-school" enough for you but it is a brilliant console. 'nuff said.

Ah, Magic. I haven't played in months, and haven't bought any cards since... Zendikar (or whatever it was called) and even then that was just two boosters I bought out of curiosity. Unfortunately I don't see any of the people I used to play with anymore, everyone having moved or lost interest in the game. I did try the M:tG game on Steam (PROTIP: Don't. It sucks).
Here's something fun though. A friend of mine made a BIG Zombies deck. about 200-300 zombie related cards that all players draw and play from. Shared deck and graveyards with loads of recursion makes for a fun game where people fight over who gets the best zombies
Also, look up vanguard cards for some extra wackiness.
Me and my friends designed ourselves as planeswalkers the other day.We are the nerdiest of nerds.
You are not the only ones ¬_¬

Haha, well maybe we could. I'm sure there's an open brony server somewhere. Although I'm sure the guys from the other server I joined are wondering where I am, It's been about 2 weeks since I last went. Curse my short attention span!

Wow, that's some pretty awesome music there! Well done!
Alas, the rapidshare link seems to be down. I'll try again later.

Currently listening to your "you gotta share" mix. Those ponies make me laugh every time XD

Another English pony fan! Yay! ^^

Also nice to meet you Pan!

Nice to meet you FireFly. I just finished Portal 2 a few days ago. It was brilliant. The new features they added work well with the gameplay and the story is fun. I haven't played minecraft in a while, but have been meaning to do so since I recently joined a multiplayer server. I am more of an explorer than a builder, though I have been meaning to try my hand at some giant pony sculptures

Well, you welcomed me, seems fair that I should do the same Welcome aboard ^^

Many thanks to you all! It's always good to have such a warm welcome.
Thanks for link to the vid MyLittlePonyTales, but I don't know Flash so I wouldn't be much use to them I'm afraid. I've downloaded Game Maker 8 and I am learning that as I go. It's so good to not have to worry about coding a graphics engine first, I can just get straight into the gameplay. ^^

I finally did it. I registered. I saw this forum back when it was first announced on ED and thought "I should join and get to know my fellow bronies". But, well, a combination of busyness, shyness and catastrophic computer failure got in my way.
Okay, so, where to start? I'm a 25 year old guy, living in south east England, who loves cartoons, games, books and other such geeky stuff. I like cool things and also cute things. MLP was inevitable.
How did I find MLP? I think my first encounter was with some random fanart. I noticed it was MLP, but I figured the new style was the artist's, so I just kinda shrugged and then moved on. Next came CR! on tgwtg.com and his brief Pinkie Pie video (I won't link it, I'm sure someone has already done so). Suddenly: Intrigued. A PMV (trouble is a friend) and the first two episodes later and BAM! Instant brony. Well, not instant, obviously it took some time, but you get the idea. Thus far I have only told one friend about my new obsession, and only because she was online so I couldn't see her expression. No one else must know o_o
Ah, what else? I'm kinda fickle, so favourite character/episode etc. changes frequently. I've thought about roleplay and I have a few ideas for OCs and scenarios but I prefer the tabletop type roleplay, i.e. games run by a game master, to forum roleplay. So who knows? Likewise I may or may not get around to writing fanfic and/or learning to draw ponies. However I was inspired by a lot of the MLP games I saw coming out and have decided to try my hand at one, being an ex-game programmer myself. I can't sprite very well though, so the graphics may have to be ripped from the show itself XP But yeah, hopefully I'll actually manage to complete that sometime.
Okay I think I'm done here. So yeah- Hi everyone!

I've been wracking my brain trying to think up something to write about this episode. I mean... wow. I actually had to watch it twice in a row to decide if I liked it or not. I NEVER do that. There were some brilliantly funny moments in there. I think I laughed hardest at Rainbow Dash saying hi to Pinkie disguised as hay-man. So random . And Pinkie's reaction to Spike and the mirror proved once and for all that there are some things that weird out even Pinkie Pie . I also liked Pinkie's singing telegram and pretty much the entire espionage scene. Then again the plot to this episode was pretty predictable (I know this shouldn't bother me, but still...) and I made the mistake of going onto ED before seeing the episode so I spoiled Pinkie's big crazy derp-out moment for myself. I certainly enjoyed the episode but I don't know if I'd call it "Celestia Tier". Maybe I just wasn't in the right mood to watch it? At least it was better than the owl episode.
Reminds me of the time I invited a bunch of my friends to go bowling on my birthday. Everyone said they would come. Then, one by one on the day, they all cancelled or were uncontactable. In the end it would've been me and maybe one other friend. But I wasn't in the mood for it so I called the whole thing off. Were they planning a big surprise party for me?
No. No they were not.
