I really like the suggestions on how instead of just buying a casino, he went along saving his winnings until he got old enough to own his own Casino. Also gives you more room to fit in a few other adventures or experinces between getting his cutie mark, and opening the casino.

Once you do that I'll read over it again. Looking forward to it

Hey guys... got some news.

If you follow my Tumblr, and lessly my DA, you probably know of the monetary issues I've been going through.

All of this has lead to me being very inactive in my Rp's here in Canterlot. I have still been around to help out with apps and draw for the site and stuff, but mostly I've been silent.

This has lead me to announce finally: I'm hereby putting ALL RPS THAT MY OC'S ARE IN ON INDETERMINATE HIATUS. Like, I won't be posting even as Aqua until I have things in my life under better control.

This also means I've decided to relinquish my ownership of roleplaying as Rarity. As much as I adore playing as that beautiful pony, she needs much more love than I have been giving her.

This won't mean I won't be around and about the site. You'll still see me about with the Monthly Drawfriends, and helping out a bit with the gallery and the RP apps. A great way to see what I've been up to is to follow my tumblr (kudalyn.tumblr.com) cause lately it seems like all I've been doing is hanging out there XD

Also, you can get ahold of me is to email me (kuda,kitsune@Hotmail.com) but please, keep that in moderation. I don't want my email to get crammed with 'hi' and 'how are you?' emails. I won't give out my skype for this very reason, but if you're in a -certian- pony group on there (you know who you guys are) then you'll see me often on there.

I don't go on the IRC much anymore just cause... I don't. That's all.

I'll try to update my art thread a bit more, but generally I just post my art to my gallery here on the forums. I love comments btw

So, I hope that eventually I'll get things level again, where I can get back to rp'ing with the ponies and bronies I love.

Relations: Being a high-bit gambler, Tex has had many chances at love but no luck with any of them. Because of his experiences, he has adopted the phrase: Mares are like a never ending game of poker, one mistake and your out the window. So after a little while he gave up in love. Instead, he focused his attentions on the well beings of his friends and family, as they had become his pride and joy. After all, without family there is really nothing left to make a man, as his father always told him. In particular was his nephew and his brother. (Reno and BlackJack)

Tex was taught the game of poker from his father at a young age, and he fell in love with it immediately. Being the strategic one in the family he tended to fall more to games that involved thinking and predicting, which he excelled at. From that point on he was addicted to gambling, but not always just to win. He also loved to play the 'mind game' that came along with poker. The faces, the mental states of those he played against. He learned them quickly and could take apart an opponent and leave them thinking they had had a great game,

Tex inevitably met his match at the hands of another skilled opponent who was just as slick and smooth as he was. Try as he might he could not figure the other pony out, nor the other pony figure him out. So as a result the poker game lasted well into the night and finally ended when his opponent made a grave mistake. He bet all in on a Pair of aces, against Tex's full house. Two Aces and Three kings, the result of that game was his cutiemark and enough money to open his own casino.

After that game Tex started his business - 'The Hold'em Casino' in Trottingham, the perfect place to hide away his family if they needed to lay low and let the heat relax. As the owner of the Hold'em Casino, he always keeps permanent rooms on reserve for his family members, One for each, near his own.

Personality: Tex can be stuffy and stuck up when the situation calls for it but he is after all a member of one of Equestria's top criminal families. But when it matters, Tex will be your best friend. He is always willing to help the other members of his family, either physical or monetary. He will not refuse to help them, but he finds it hard for himself to accept their help. After all, he runs a successful casino and can con people out of almost anything. He usually tries to get things for himself anyways, the "GoLucky" way is usually the best way to him.

This is quite the interesting character!

A elegant white-coated pony trotted daintly down the carpet, the magnificent tropical-flowered hat upon her head catching the eye of those she passed. She smirked, knowing that this night, was her night. She had been planning for this event for months now, tossing out design after design until she found -just- the proper ones for the theme tonight! This was going to be a night to remember!

Rarity glanced around, her eyes taking in the dance floor, the tiki bar, the wide open beach off in the distance. The dance floor simply wouldn't do, it wouldn't do her any good getting all sweaty right at the big premiere! The open beach was beautiful, but rather barren of big-name ponies to chat up about her latest designs.... so she decided on the bar.

"A light refresher won't hurt anything!"She said to herself, slowly walking in the direction of the bar.

Very good! I'm very impressed with this app. While I was wary about how your hippocamp can use more magic than the average one, you clearly outlined that this guy is special, and he got tutoring from a true magic user, so it's believable.

It's interesting that he created his own machine - Hippocamps aren't known for their machinery skills, but maybe he picked up a bit on his travels through Equestria.

Also - cute little pet!

Just a little note: The age shouldn't be a number. If you want to describe him, mix the age and the gender together. For his instance, he'd be a 'Stallion'. Anything younger than that would be a 'colt'.

Anyways, seems like a good start..... I like the treasure hunter aspect. Very nice. I'm not really big on the -loves fire- part, but since Hippocamps do love shiny things it's alright. Just don't make it go overboard with her personality, like she becomes an arsonist or something XD

Being a bit envious of the land ponies is alright too, but don't forget, not everything corrodes underwater. Okeanos is made of stone and marble. Those don't corrode very quickly, specially if they are maintained properly.

Also, please elaborate on her personality. Is she outgoing? Is she shy? Is she rash, or careful? How did she become the way she is?

And for her history, you kind of left things open. Will she continue to become a treasure hunter, or will she just give up her dreams and live on the farm? I assume it's a fish farm. Don't forget - while hippocamps can farm fish, they don't eat them.

Struggling the last few steps, Aqua and her friends finally reached the top of the hill. She looked over her shoulder back down at Ponyville, panting a little.

"Funny... this hill didn't seem so big on the way down." She laughed, looking back to her friends. "Well... I'm not suite sure yet. I mean, none of you guys can exactly breathe underwater like I can, so just having a home under the water seems a little silly." She thought for a second, running ideas through her head.

"Well, maybe just a little one-story house right by the lakeside. Like, with a little dock on it that floats out over the water. That way I can have a place for my friends to stay inside if they need to, and I can get to it fairly easy. I'd mostly live in the lake, of course. I wouldn't need a little house down there or anything - I'm sure there's a cave or two I can sleep in down there."

"Also with algae.... I'm not too worried about it. In the city there's usually tons of snails and other small critters that eat the algae and coral and whatnot that grows on their structures, and I'm sure there's little critters in the lake that do that too."

"And thank you Inkwell and Granola. I'm okay now though. This side of the hill is much easier for me to move on. And if push comes to shove, I'll just roll down this one too! Thank you for the offer to float me around Inky, but I'm not too sure about that. I'm heavier than I look.... and I've never had magic used on me before. In the ocean I'm normally all my myself, so I guess you could say I don't get out much." She said, chuckling at her small jokes.

Checking over his shoulders, Spike settled down on the soft grass on a hill overlooking Sweet Apple Acres. It had been a few hours since the Sisterhood Social, and the Apple family and a bunch of volunteers were cleaning up the aftermath of the events.

He pulled a quill and sheet of parchment from his bag.... and a big red juicy apple to munch on while he wrote. Licking the end of the quill, he put pen-tip to paper and started to write his letter.

Dear Princess Celestia.

Today was quite the interesting day! Every year in Ponyville they hold what's called the Sisterhood Social - a festival at Sweet Apple Acres where sisters from all over Ponyville compete together to see who's the best!

Things went well for the most part - ponies had fun stuffing themselves with pie, egg racing, and other events. The biggest event by far was the obstical race. Sisters had to work together as a team to get through the whole thing. What really surprised me was that Rarity and her little sister, Sweetie Belle, participated. Now, I've told you of Rarity - as wonderful, gorgeous, and beautiful as she is.... she hates to get dirty or do physical work.

So, Applejack and Applebloom agreed that Sweetie could be Aj's 'sister for a day' so that she cloud participate in the event. Imagine my surprise at the end when the one who turned out to be running the race with Sweetie wasn't AJ... but Rarity! Right at the beginning of the race she and Applejack switched places so Rarity was the one with her sister all along.

At the end of the day after the race, Rarity and Sweetie called me over to the Boutique so I could write their letter to you - as you know.

It's nice to see siblings getting along in the end, no matter how opposite they are. Sure would be nice if I could have a younger sibling... Oh well. I'm with Twilight, and I'm happy with that for now!

Rarity was leaned up right against the door, straining to hear what the little fillies were saying when she heard the splash, eeping as some of the liquid seeped under the door and got her newly-manicured hooves soaking wet.

Clamping her mouth shut and screwing her face up in an effort not to burst out in anger, she did a little trotting dance in the middle of the room, getting her frustration out. Panting daintily, she pulled out some out-of-fashion fabrics from a old box and laid it on the floor, mopping up the water so she could approach the door again.

"That was.... a good try girls. But unfortunately it didn't seem to work..." She said, noticing that now that the doorknob was off on both sides, she could see through the hole where they used to be. She leaned down, peeping through the circular hole.

"Hmm.... Girls! I have an idea. Maybe if you can find some rope somewhere.... You can put one end through here, I'll tie a big knot at this end so the rope doesn't get pulled through, and we can work together to get the door open! You both could pull on the rope, and I would push on the door, and together we both might be able to make it work!"

Sorry about not having this updated in so long.

I've been having problems with the posting format - no matter what I do, the first 10 or so links turn into big media files and mess up my neat list, AND apparently the first post has already hugely exceeded the link limit in a post, so I can't add any new ones to it.

So that also turns most of the links into mere text, so you have to copypaste the address into your browser.

I'm gonna talk to Artax about it. Until then, please continue to be patient!
