    "Yar Har Har! Shiver me timbers! Ahoy you swabs!"

    A very bright, magenta colored pony boisterously shouted out various pirate quotes as her long red, orange and yellow mane blowing in the sea breeze as she carefully rolled some empty barrels off of her ship onto the docks. She was on land for her usual bi-weekly stock refill. Those birds weren't gonna get food out on the open water after all!

    She trotted back up the bridge, pulling a few boxes onto the ramp and sliding them down. It was a little difficult, but she was used to working alone. She always worked alone on her ship, the Jolly Canter. She had long ago inherited the ancient pirate ship from her late grandfather - the notorious Blackmane, pirate scourge of the Equestrian seas. Now, it was a floating bird rescue center - stuffed to the rafters with birds of every kind, color and shape that she cared for and nurtured back to health.

    "And that... should be the last one!" She huffed, pushing the last barrel down the plank to the dock where it rattled along beside the others. Trotting back down, she stretched a little as her back cracked - it had been about three weeks since she was last on land - a unexpected storm threw her off course and she had to backtrack around the whole island to get back to her usual port - this was the only place on the whole island she could get the supplies she needed!

    Nice to see another herp-lover! I've never owned a herp because of living situations, but I'd love to start out with a leopard gecko someday!

    "Well, yes it's a little hard to move around with a fin tail, but It's who I am, so I don't complain!" Aqua said to Klondike, before Tempest mentioned her ice sculpting. "PFFT You ice sculpt?! Why didn't you tell me? That's totally awesome!" She said, turning around to face her.

    "You totally have to let me see them sometime. I wanna see what kind of pretty ice sculptures you can make!"

    Strawberry Orange

    Orange followed Pinkie's excited rambling as she zipped from place to place... seeming to take the most obscure and unnecessary routes to get from place to place, but Orange had already figured out this was just Pinkie's way of thinking. She seemed to think more like a tangled ball of christmas lights than anything else.

    Suddenly the pink pony screamed out something that sounded like "HIDE!" and dove out of sight.... just as a big swarm of hornets burst out of the nearest tree. Orange screeched to a halt in midair, freezing on sight. She stared down the swarm of hornets as they buzzed angrily in the air, almost seeming to make quick obscene figures in the air at her. Something had really ticked them off, and they were really itching for a fight. Orange didn't know if she could take on a whole swarm of hornets... she had first hand experience at just how stubborn they were and how far they were willing to chance down their targets.

    "Well... this is my home..." Strawberry said sheepishly as they approached her new house. She had reason to be embarrassed... The place was a wreck. Shutters were hanging off the windows by one hinge, the paint was peeling and flaking off everywhere, cobwebs and dust covered every nook and cranny. Even in the slightest breeze the house creaked from rafters to ground.

    "I was looking around the inside earlier, the inside isn't as bad as it looks out here, but I'm still worried about the supports. I really don't want to have to tear down the whole thing and start again. If I have to do that to the barn that's enough work as it is, let alone having to redo my house too..." She said, looking up at her house worriedly. This house was in her mother's family for generations. She wanted to preserve as much of the original house as she could, but the house had been left abandoned for over a decade.... that really took a toll on the old house.

    Hey Ponies!!

    This is just a SLOW RP ACTIVITY notice. While I will be checking the site and IRC and Skype alot, my RPs I will be slower on the upkeep - I have drawings to do and a job to be at, so I'm just slowing these down a bit.

    I WILL STILL BE RPING. Just slowly. Which from the looks of it... everyone else is doing too XD

    Also to those who have come forward to me about private RPs - I will start them, just... soon. :blush:

    Sorry about any inconveniences this causes, I'm just trying to balance my life and schedule, and lately Ponies, as adorable as they are, have been taking over my life and time a bit too much. I need to find the right balance so I feel right about myself :>

    Like I said, I am still easily contactable. Just PM me or nudge me in Skype and I'll be there.

    "Twilight!" Spike jumped a bit at the sound of her voice, immediately running over to her.

    "Hey! Good morning! How do you feel? If you're too tired you can go back to bed, I can handle things around here. A-and no problem! I know you were up late so I thought a bit of tidying up would help you out when you woke up." He said, proudly lifting himself up to his full height... of not very tall. He turned around, hearing yet another new voice in the library... yet another pony who stared unabashed at him, mouth slightly open in astonishment.

    "Yeesh. You'd think these ponies would know what a dragon looks like when they see one." He said to Twi out of the corner of his mouth, turning around to look back at the two ponies staring at him, looking them straight in the eye. He may be small, but he isn't a coward. Well, most of the time.

    It might just be me overthinking this, but I see a fair bit of similarities between him and my character Frostbite. If this is just coincidence or on purpose I don't know. So, if you drew inspiration from my character or something like that could you at least tell me that you did. Heck, if you did we could do some sort of thing where they're cousins or something.

    I didn't even know you had a cold-based character ^^;

    I just had an idea one day and rolled with it! And this guy is different from yours - he loves cold weather, but his talents like in making cold treats, not dealing with weather.

    I think it was a cool coincidence :blush:

    I'm not so sure about cousins, but they could be good friends maybe! Perhaps one day Icy visited the snowflake factory in Cloudsdale and met Frostbite there :D

    Name: Icy Delight

    Sex: Male

    Age: Stallion

    Species: Unicorn

    Pelt Color: Light ice blue

    Mane/Tail Color & Style: Mane is cut shaggy at the front, but kept longer and smoother at the back. His tail is short, cleanly cut at the end. His mane and tail is mostly white, with a light orange streak down the middle of both.

    Eye Color: Light sea-green.

    Cutie Mark: A creamsicle, surrounded by 5 small silver stars and numerous little snowflakes.

    Physique: Tall and thin, a little bit lanky. Taller than most stallions his age.

    Residence: Canterlot

    Occupation: Icy treats maker and vendor.

    Motivation: To make icy treats for ponies of all ages to enjoy.

    Likes: Winter, snow, cold days, ice skating, cloudy days, cold treats, selling cold treats

    Dislikes: Hot days, melting snow/ice, super windy days, no clouds, brain freeze

    Character Summary: Icy is a kind, friendly stallion who loves selling and sharing his frozen delights with customers.

    Ever since Icy was a colt, he loved the winter. LOVED it. His favorite things to do were to lick the icicles that hung from the trees during the winters... even if his tongue often got stuck to them. He even liked to make tables, chairs, and pretend meals out of snow! His only problem was that snow and icicles tasted so bland... they were only frozen water after all. One day, he had an idea when he saw a pony spill their groceries onto the snow. As the juice that dribbled from the container stained the snow, it hit him. Why not flavor the snow, with juice?! Or take juice, freeze it, and eat it?! That's the day his cutie mark came about, when he realized he could make icy treats not only he could enjoy, but other ponies could too.

    His parents, who are scholars at the Canterlot Royal Library, were a bit wary of their young sons choice of career - but when they saw how happy he was making other ponies happy, they decided to allow him free reign. Their only rule is no ice cream in the library!

    His magic works best for cold situations and sculpting cold objects - never ask him to heat your coffee. He'd just as likely freeze it in it's mug! He's a bit taller than most other ponies his age. His long legs sometimes get in the way, but they help him walk through the deepest snow with ease. He is NOT a fan of hot days, and avoids hotter regions like the plague. That's why Canterlot is his ideal city - it's up high in the mountains so the colder atmosphere suits him perfectly.

    He owns his own little cart that he pushes around Canterlot, complete with little bells! It has a little umbrella strapped to the side for when he sets up at a popular spot for the day, and the back has a little scooter attachment he uses for when he needs to get places fast, or for longer trips across Canterlot. Inside it he has everything needed for a proper ice-cream cart - ice cream, cones, cups, popcicles, slush and flavoring for slushies and sno-cones, even sprinkles and nuts and fruit for ice cream sundaes! It's amazing how much he can cram into that little cart, but he manages wonderfully.

    Hey hey! I know this application was approved, but since then we've revised the allowed species board a little bit.

    Please refer to this post I made on the Hippocamp thread: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1686&start=15#p23037

    Seeing as how your character got approved before this came about, I'm not sure if you want to change it. BUT, the only difference between hippocamps and kelpies on this board is the name and diet - everything else remains the same, for ease for the members :D

    So, since you created this guy before the change, it's up to you if you want to change his species title.

    Yes, those were from before Artax updated the way to use youtube tags. I haven't updated them because I have links to all the songs on the front post, so if you wanted the songs, just go from there. That way you aren't hunting through all the pages of the thread for songs.
