1. But there's a difference between a few nameless grunts and the entirety of the standing GEF army in other provinces.
2. Isn't that Valence's call to make, Draco? The GEF is more or less hers...
3. Wordplay rolled her eyes at Psmith's choice of room. "You do realize you've picked one of the studies, right? Your floor mates aren't going to be pleased with this." She supposed he wouldn't really know, and it would be amusing to see how others reacted to Psmith and how he reacted in turn to them. If it went anything like her meeting with own Psmith he'd be the most popular colt in school by the end of the month. So she reclined on one of the room's couches, accepted her tea and bread with the grace of a subject bowing and paying homage to their monarch. She heard out Psmith with a casual smile. Sure, the idea was likely not going to work, but she was going to be gone in a year anyways. She raised her cup to Psmith's with an extra flounce. "I'm in, of course. And I can try to get some of my friends into this madness too."
4. Kaneigh nodded. A farm girl? She must have been from way out in the country, the place Kaneigh had only heard of by ear. He had lived in the city all his life, more or less. "So you used to grow food? I can dig that, I guess." It wasn't the most glamorous job. But hey, it explained why this woman was so well built. "Must've been hard work, huh?" Kaneigh turned to consider Rainbow Dash. This girl looked like a cool cat... well, not now, since she was impressed by him, to put it absolutely mildly. Kaniegh took a moment to thank Celestia for giving him an attractive fan. "I live nearby, that real big house near the entrance to this area is mine. I heard I had new neighbors, so I went... and I'm glad I showed up. Real glad." He smiled at her.
5. ((I don't really know what you're going for here, Sev... Also, remember the posting convention!)) Princess Mi Amore Cadenza (Queen Chrysalis, Equina Citadel) ((You do realize Cadence already stood up and and is trotting away, right Scythe? There is no sad mare to be picked up by the shoulder)) "Desperate times call for desperate measures, my Queen. I'll be perfectly frank with you, if ponies let their prejudices stop them from accepting the help of your brood, they deserve to die." Cadence turned to face Chrysalis, a curious look in her eye. "I have every intention of helping them. Now call your brood, if you will." Cadence turned away again, trotting stoically into the flaming ruins of Equina's once proud streets. The Great and Powerful Trixie (Knowledge, Chronarch, Twilight, Shining, Frost, (my god this is a long introduction) Equina, the Princesses Tomb) "I am hardly fine because of you, you overpowered freak. If you could be so kind as to banish this nuisance if you can, Chronarch?" Trixie never even turned to face the outsider, her focus solely on whatever Shining Armor was about to reveal to them.
6. Lambdadelta "If a man picks a piece of cheese for his weapon in a duel, you may count on the fact that he has thought of an innovative and surprisingly effective way of using it." "I should know as much, I do love throwing candy at people." Oh, those times had been good memories. For her, not so much for anyone else involved in her games. Lambdadelta was reminded by that, it had been some time since she'd had something to eat. She felt like she were watching a movie, what with all the images of other people's lives she had floating around herself. She thus summoned popcorn, to go along with the mood, complete with the cliche red striped bag to hold it in. She popped a few kernels into her mouth, ate them, then smiled at her counterparts. They had all missed her point, which she didn't blame them for. It took a Witches mind to properly consider some of the more abstract parameters a game of this nature imposed upon it's players. To be fair to Skeeve and Peona, they both had a point. But... "I did not mean anything against the piece herself. She's surely a stronger choice than my own, to be perfectly honest." Lambdadelta considered Diamond Tiara for a moment. She was reading ancient lore, which was of course always an ominous thing in events of this nature. It seemed that history had a knack for being evil when outside interference was run. "I recommend you look at where your character is in relation to the rest of ours, however. Little Miss Tiara is nowhere near the events the rest of our characters are participating in. Now, consider this. Say I gather the other players into an alliance, of convenience or otherwise? We agree to ensure that our characters never interact with yours. Now, Diamond Tiara can perhaps achieve much on her own. But let us consider anthropic principle. Observation, conscious observation is power, it is what creates, it is what defines. Our characters will grow together, whether as allies or enemies or lovers." Lambdadelta snickered at the thought of that, popped a few more kernels into her mouth, then continued on with her speech: "Little Miss Tiara is excluded. Her achievements become weak, meaningless, without consideration from other pieces. You have effectively been sealed off from the game, your character omitted, irrelevant. All because you did not force her into the beginning scenario in some way. That is the move of yours I critique. I've seen it happen many times before, seen it lose games many times before. Of course, that would be an incredibly droll manner of defeating you. So I assure you I will not be using such a method." Lambdadelta was done with that thread, moved on to watching Marlon out of the corner of her eye while eating more of her snack. He was still being obviously ominous, but she knew he would most likely have the most direct impact on this board, very soon. ----- Fluttershy "W-well..." Fluttershy had to admit, the Princess didn't seem as bad suddenly. Her casual demeanor was calming Fluttershy down significantly. "I... I'm sorry I let my fear get the better of me last time, Princess." She balanced on her forehooves, gave the Princess a little bow. She stayed behind her bed though, only her upper body visible. "I've been having nightmares about the Royal Wedding. There are all kinds of evil, scary things... and people give me candy and it turns to blood..." Fluttershy shut her eyes tightly, suddenly trembling at the mere image she had managed to evoke once more. A smiling witch, handing her tainted sweets...
7. Oh, I thought you were referring to Pupil. No, she's not blind.
8. ^ I would be amazed if anyone can't figure out this blatant reference. Also, did I ever say Pupil was blind?
9. Penumbra raised an eyebrow. She hadn't meant anything like that. To be perfectly honest, she had assumed he'd assume what she had been assuming, nothing else. Perhaps she was a bit tired already, though she had gotten in a good day's and night's of sleep to make sure she'd be alert for her job which she now wasn't doing. "I was referring to drinking, that sort of thing." Penumbra giggled slightly. "What did you think I was trying to say, Bridge?"
10. I do want to give everyone a chance to make a post. But I also want to keep this progressing steadily. How much time should I allow before I just make the next post even if not everyone's posted yet?
11. I said I'd make an expy of a WoW dragon and I meant it: Name: Pupil Gender: Female *Race: Dragon (Forest Dragon / Green Roost) **Age: Adolescent Appearance: She is varying shades of green in colour, her scales a vibrant emerald green and underbelly a lighter lime green. Her eyes are the most notable feature of her, they cannot be closed as she has no eyelids. And they are milky, dead, though shades of colour occasionally shine through them at random. As a female dragon she is slender and lean, her limbs slightly longer, her muzzle not as sharp as her male counterparts. Her fringes are purple in shade, and very soft and curved in shape. Personality: Pupil is very peaceful, nonaggressive in nature. In fact, she is almost stoic in her demeanor, not often showing emotion and speaking very matter of factly. Her words are often laced with metaphors, allusions, and other poetic devices, as if she is speaking a poem when she speaks. Getting to know her in general is difficult due to her natural distance from others, and when one does know her it's clear that she at least partially exists in her own world, her imagination for her being more vivid than her reality. Motivation: Pupil is driven by the need to learn what her imagination and dreams are trying to tell her, and she often focuses on this aspect of herself more than any other. She is so lost in her own thoughts she will occasionally go days without food or drink and nearly starve to death. Skills: Pupil's imagination, beyond overwhelming her sense of reality, is the realm of her magic. She receives prophetic but nearly incomprehensible visions through her mental realm, and a lot of her time is devoted to trying and usually failing to puzzle some meaning out of her highly abstract visions. She is also learning, slowly, an inherent ability to read the minds of others through her own mental realm, though it is currently an incredibly primitive skill. Background Story: Pupil grew up as the daughter of a single Scaleheart dragon who was lost in a mysterious accident that was never satisfactorily resolved. His death affected her, while she was a normal child growing up, she began to suffer from insomnia and nightmares after his death. Her powers seemed to develop from this, perhaps somehow inheriting some aspect of her own father's power. She was mostly alone growing up, lost often in her waking dreams that confused her child's mind, unable to make friends, with nopony and no dragon able to really connect with her. Thus everyone who nominally knew her in her hometown of Trottingham was surprised when she attended the Festival of Roaring Skies. She was discounted from the beginning, nobody expected her to achieve anything. However her imagination proved a powerful ally, and she found unique solutions to almost every presented challenge that impressed the judges of the affair. In the end she was accepted as a novice Scaleheart, following in her father's footsteps. She has to this day given no comment on why she joined.
12. ((Do use the new posting conventions, ONWARD?)) Princess Mi Amore Cadenza (Queen Chrysalis, Equina Citadel) Cadence looked up at her Queen slowly, afraid that if she looked out again she'd see an even worse sight. No, Equina was still burning. Cadence was sure of only one thing, perhaps, that things were probably going to become worse. So the sun was gone from this land. So be it, so bucking be it. Her heart was already destroyed, there was nothing else they could take from her but her life. And that she could fight fore. Cadence nodded at her Queen, her tone suddenly business-like, void of the soft emotions that had once been her trademark: "Perhaps you should summon the hive, my Queen? They may be able to aid this city, being as they are probably unaffected by the disaster that has befallen this city." Cadence drew up onto all fours, started plodding off in a direction. Perhaps there would still be survivors somewhere... Vinyl Scratch (Draco and Draxis, Equina Citadel) Vinyl followed Draxis, and found herself incredibly confused by the site of the ponies in stasis. She had seen this once before, during a brief stint in magical school, but had never bothered to learn what it meant. But it wasn't her job to figure these things out now. It was just her job to help. "Vinyl Scratch, sir. My magic's good enough." She began muscling away the rubble. It was mentally backbreaking, exhausting, but she had no need for fine movements, just shoving the debris from the frozen ponies. It was a rough job, but she wasn't hurting anypony in the process, at least. Her hair was scruffy, her coat marred by sweat. Just a few minutes ago she'd been comfortable in her own studio eating a salad. It was strange, how fast the world shifted around a pony. The Great and Powerful Trixie (Frost, Twilight, Cronarch, Shining Armor, Princesses Tomb) Trixie's attention was indeed stolen completely by the appearance of Shining Armor, dramatically enough, from a gaping maw of a portal with darkness in tentacle form leaking from it. It was something Trixie herself would have considered too passe to use as an entrance. "You... you were killed by the Red Fox... by your own sister." Trixie looked between Twilight and Shining Armor in confusion... And then they doubted her power! Trixie's pride began to reassert itself, rearing it's ugly head as she shot a glare at Frost for answering Shining Armor on his behalf. "... One spell, Trixie knows. The spell that throws her soul between illusions of herself." It had been the coup de grace of her power as The Mistress of Shadows, the ability to become anyone of her illusions at will, and thus greatly and powerfully outwit her opponents on the battle field. She had gained it from a piece of lore, a fragment from the ruins of the Canterlot Archives she had stolen during her rise as a GEF agent. She knew from the dark feeling that this magic brought that she still could never quite ignore whenever she used it, that something powerful and evil had been behind it's creation.
13. I decided that Swan Dive wasn't appropriate for this RP, so here's a different one... Name: Cherry Jubilee Race: Earth Pony Sex: Mare Looks: Cutie Mark: Cherry mark, which beyond representing her crop of choice to grow, also represents her lucky tendencies. Skills: Cherry Jubilee is quite wealthy, and is the probably patron of the expedition. In addition, she is an earth pony and lives out on the frontier where she is used to outlaws and bandits are commonplace. She has proven to Nox that she is more than capable of defending herself, sporting a buck kick so fast she has been nicknamed by those that know her as 'Quickdraw'. Finally, she is a charismatic mare, which may prove useful both within the group and in instances of diplomacy. Motivation: (Money). Cherry has invested much of her own money into the success of this expedition, and she is going along to ensure that her investment pays off. Flaws: Cherry has the Apple trademarked stubbornness in spades, and combined with the self-assuredness she gets from being smart, she can be very insufferable and difficult to dissuade when she has the wrong idea. She's also very confrontational, which can be a problem. Background: Cherry was from birth considered an eccentric genius by the whole of the Apple family during their reunions. She had a way with words, and from a young age was able to get her way with other ponies. She was like all Apple ponies ambitious with regards to money and profits, and she had the family green touch as well. So she started a cherry farm in Ponyville... however, she found her life in Ponyville dull and monotonous. She was an adventurous mare, so she took out for the wild frontier and settled as the virtual matriarch of Dodge Junction. Her move was questioned by her family, but she proved to be highly successful. Recently while on business in Canterlot, Cherry was alerted by some of her contacts of an intriguing offer... Nox's offer, which neither her business self nor daring self could refuse.
14. His two nukes are unreliable to target in teamfights and the turrets are equally unreliable. Really, Heim only has the surprise element on his side, as in, the champ is seen so rarely at Level 30 play that no one knows how to deal with him. And okay, I thought you were just avoiding PvP entirely. Anyways, summoner name on NA if Finaletiro. Anyone here may hit me up if they wish, though I'm hardly the best player, I know what I'm doing.
15. The Great and Powerful Trixie (Chronarch, Frost, Twilight, Princesses Tomb) "The Red Fox? Eon-Ja was unable...?" Trixie shot a horrified glance between Chronarch and Frost. Twilight hadn't been herself? For five years?!? Trixie was suddenly unable to pay the impressive architecture and historical significance of their new location any mind. She reflected on how horrible that was, not being yourself for five years... she wanted to be sick, frankly. She couldn't even dare to imagine not having control of yourself for a single day, let alone... So this was why Twilight had been distant, had been strange. Trixie hated herself more than ever now. If she hadn't been so incredibly, unforgivably stupid, she might have figured out the terrible truth earlier, that Twilight was so obviously the Red Fox, Trixie might have... "Chronarch, did you ever suspect any of this? Before the fact?" The time mage was powerful, but surely he would have acted if he had noticed anything...? The sepulcher of the Princesses was strangely clean, peaceful. Trixie laid a hoof on Celestia's coffin, more out of unawareness of her actions in her sudden reverie brought on by an earth-shattering epiphany. She only registered two words... "Sir... Shining Armor?!"
16. Scythe's system sounds like a good idea. So anything that affects the environment around the character will be bolded so others can take note of it. Cadence is currently suffering from an emotional breakdown upon seeing the destruction of Equina. Since they were in range of Twilight, they observed everything: Twilight's collapse, the REF breaking the negotiations off, and Frost carrying away Twi.
17. I can imagine Steven flopping around during a challenge like a boss. It would be beautiful.
18. Twilight's dead, Dopple. SHE'S DEAD!!! But seriously, she's out cold on Frost's back heading towards the Citadel with Trixie and Chronarch following, and as a note Dopple's own Queen was in the vicinity. You guys do read and catch up, right...?
19. Penumbra rolled her eyes. "Only ponies in the world who wouldn't be up for party every now and then would be the snooty elite of Canterlot. Same goes for the music, really." She laughed along with him, amused. She liked going out with her friends and partying in clubs, and apparently when she got tired enough she'd start heckling the aristocrats who passed by on the streets. Who needed to drink when they were dumb enough without it? "You, uh... engage in any 'vices' while out partying? Not trying to imply anything." Penumbra went on to answer his questions while he considered her own question: "True, true... Wait, how the hay did you play a concert in Cloudsdale? You're a unicorn, unless I'm more out of it than I thought I was." She shot a thanks after the waiter, took her soda in a hoof and sipped at it.
