I mostly do more electro house and trance, so progressive house was a bit of a leap for me. It was also my first proper collab, which was an eye-opener to see how other people made their music. :3

Alright. Preferably, I'd like to use my OC with the same backstory for both the main World of Equestria RP and the Equestria Crossovers RP, but I don't know whether the application is a bit too grimdark (or otherwise non-canonical) for the World of Equestria RP. If it is, I'm happy to write a seperate 'toned down' application for this OC for the World of Equestria RP, but I'd rather just stick with the same rough backstory.

So, I've had this stem for a while - I just cleaned the synths and mix up a bit and added an intro. I also added crowd effects to make the song sound fuller (cheap tactic, I know!).

Roleplay Type: Equestria Crossovers Name: Andanté Race: Earth Pony Sex: Male Age: Old colt/young stallion (about the same age as the Mane 6) Species: Earth Pony Eye Colour: Dark Red Coat Colour: Grey/Teal Mane/Tail/Markings Color & Style: Fairly long brown mane with a choppy style, but no noticable markings. Physique: Fairly tall and strong, but nothing out of the ordinary. Cutie Mark: A sine wave, reflecting Andanté's interest in both music and science, and his love for using his knowledge (in the case of music, his general knowledge of music, his knowledge of music theory, and his knowledge of physics) to hone his skills. Origin/Occupation: Raised rough on the streets of Stalliongrad, Andanté has seen his fair share of hatred and violence, and quickly learnt to develop a thick skin. Having to live and provide for himself, whilst other ponies would try to steal from him or assert their dominance over him, Andanté spent all the time he could learning about anything he could find out, convinced that he could somehow, if he tried hard enough, get enough money and prestige to live a comfortable live in Canterlot. As he grew older, his outlook became bleaker - Cold winters meant left him shivering all night, and his general knowledge didn't make up for his lack of education. Every day Andanté would hope that he would make a breakthrough, get some money, or find somewhere to live, and every evening he would find himself back where he started, on the street, by himself. About to resign himself to a life of poverty and misery, Andanté was twelve summers old when a local music club, the 'Hoof Beat' opened. Bored and depressed, he snuck into the club every night that he could, listening to the music and trying to enjoy himself. Little did he know how much of an impact that the Hoof Beat would have on his life. As the patrons of the club got to know him, Andanté ended up doing odd jobs, clearing up the sets after the acts have finished, and cleaning the club after it closed. With a bit of money and a place to stay (he used one of the club's small spare rooms to sleep in) Andanté could focus on his studies, and when he reached fourteen he decided to apply for a local prestigious school. He passed an entrance exam with flying colours, despite his anxiety about not being able to get in at all. From then on, Andanté's life focused on two things - His studies, and the club. Taking an interest in the sciences and maths, Andanté began to work as a techie for the club, and, before long, he was using the club's synthesizers to make various sounds for other artists. By the age of 15, Andanté found himself in the limelight, performing at the club every night and creating new songs and lyrics on the fly. His thirst for knowledge meant he quickly learnt the skills behind music production, and before long he was pushing boundaries that other artists in the club didn't dare cross. Trance and Hardcore music dominated the club scene as Andanté began to play in clubs all around Stalliongrad, turning music for himself and fellow ponies into a lifestyle with his emotive, powerful, raw music. Andanté had no interest in staying in the low-rises and slums of Stalliongrad, though, and seeing snapshots of Canterlot and Ponyville on television, he left as soon as he managed to get enough money to travel there, paying friends for rides, hitchiking, and doing odd jobs while he journeyed. At 16, he found himself in the middle of Canterlot, almost peniless, with nothing but his travelling gear and his performing equipment on him. Doing only what he knows best, he began to play in a small corner of the city, near the palace. Amongst the more refined ponies of Canterlot, he gained a reputation and was surrounded by controversy - Many ponies were amazed by his style of music that he brought from the clubs of Stalliongrad, but others thought he was a nuisance. Eventually he managed to rack up enough money to buy himself a small studio apartment in Canterlot where he slept every night and kept his gear, and he continued his studies, hopping between the various colleges and libraries of Canterlot to quench his thirst for knowledge. Now, Andanté makes a living off of the money he gets from music commissions, and from selling his songs to his small but dedicated fanbase. Likes: Music. Whether it's the house music that he makes professionally, or the old guitar he plays on, Andanté's main passion is creating, playing, or just listening to music. He's also balanced in his critique of music, as well, and unlike many other ponies, he isn't biased on what music he listens to (in fact, he loves classical music, and even has an odd fondness for jazz at times). As long as the music is good, Andanté will like it. When he's not making music, Andanté loves to study. Even if he isn't as much of an egghead as Twilight Sparkle, Andanté will still happily spend an afternoon reading dozens of books on a given subject (though if he's sitting there for any longer, he'll quickly get heartache from being away from his music studio for too long). Even though he has built up a lot of knowledge about mathematics, science, and even literature, he tends to study and research at random, usually if it's something interesting he overhears. He'll quickly get sucked in as he tries to learn everything about an interesting subject he overheard, and over the years (and his travels) he has built up a considerable bank of knowledge and trivia. Finally, Andanté likes to help other ponies. Even though helping other ponies isn't something that he always strives to do, he always tries to help a pony in need, and he sticks by his morals and tries to be compassionate and empathic, whilst still being fair and logical. He's happy to put serious time into helping another pony, considering it not only his responsibility and duty to help (if he said yes in the first place) but also a personal challenge. He is very empathic, and hates to see other ponies deeply upset, reminding him of his own colthood. Dislikes: Trying out new (often extreme) things. Andanté prefers to stick with what he knows, and even though he isn't afraid of trying out new things, he has little interest in spending his time 'looking for thrills'. Even though he's happy to indulge in other ponies' wishes, he often regrets going outside of his comfort circle. As such, even though other ponies appreciate him for his kindness, he can be seen as a bit insular, even timid at times (although, if he's pushed over the edge, by stress or another annoying pony, he can quickly turn and suddenly be very eccentric, almost to the point of madness as he vies to outdo the other ponies). He also hates seeing other ponies upset, and more often than not he will get depressed over other ponies' problems. Motivation: Andanté can be strongly motivated by the smallest things, and apart from his underlying passion for music, he has little overall motivation. As such, when he sees other ponies in need, or if another pony challenges him, Andanté tends to think in the short term, putting all of his energy into helping, pleasing or outcompeting another pony (unless it's in something ridiculous, harmful or otherwise crazy), almost in an attempt to compensate for a lack of a long term goal. Indeed, before he got his cutie mark, Andanté had no drive and little to do, and he quickly became bored. Trying to keep himself sane throughout the day, then, Andanté makes everything into a challenge, and something that can seem minor and seamless to another pony, such as playing a five-minute game or horseshoes, could be the focus of a day's work to him. At the end of the day, however, Andanté's overriding drive is to create better and more popular music, and he can be entirely motivated around that when he's on tour or producing music in his studio. Overall Personality: Easygoing and friendly but usually quiet and sometimes indecisive, preferring to weigh up the situations and find the best possible solution. He tries to be on good terms with everyone, even if he doesn't want any particularly close friends. However, he has a flip side, and can quickly be reckless or very competitive if he's pushed far enough, which can in some cases ruin his relationships with other ponies.
