  1. Just out of curiosity, is the use of "idol" in her name intentional? It could work as a pun, seeing as an idol is a subject of great admiration or worship, but the original phrase as I've heard it is "IDLE gossip," or chatter that occurs without any direction or consideration for others.

It was intentional to be 'idol' because she wants to be famous, but 'Idle' would work just as well cause shes's gossip-y so they'd both work XP i just though because of the pony i wanted her to be ( eg fame-hungry) i'd pull on my 'OMFG WORD PLAY !' hat and have a pun-tastic time :)

  2. Blue trotted off to a nearby closet and pulled out a blanket from the top shelf, coming back over he cast the blanket over her. He frowned, noticing the pain on her face "Sorry there's not more i can do" he said awkwardly shuffling his weight from hoof to hoof. "Try and get some sleep, if you can." He glanced at the clock 3am "you just hang on a little bit longer ok ? Not long now before i can go get you some help"

  3. Blue blushed a little he was pretty bashful. " No, problem, just try and get some rest now, if ya can, i'll get you some thing to help with the pain" he said searching his cupboards for some pain pills. When he found the bottle he placed it by her. " They also make ya drowzy, so don't be alarmed his you get a little dizzy, it won't last too long !"

  4. ( blek, it's ok, i'm Dyslexic though, so i end up spelling things phonetically, that usually makes it wrong ! XP)

Blue blinked and bent his closer. "You seem pretty badly beat up, Don't worry though i can usually get the doctor awake at 5am if it's an emergency." He said softly, plonking himself down on the floor next to her rather ungracefully. "Where did you fly from ? Seemed you'd been going at it a while."

  5. ( what are you talking about, i didn't write unicorn, i wrote pegasus . . . . . totally didn't go back and edit it to be right, * does Applejack's guilty face)

Blue pokes his head out the kitchen, he clops around to her front "you awake" he asks softly craning his neck around tolook at her, almost tipping himself over in the process.

  6. Any progress on this Application? :)

Yeah, sorry having a little trpuble keeping up with all of this i'm changing jobs/ moving to the country/ packing n stuff. I'm trying to keep up with everything but my pesky 'real' life is getting in the way * shakes fist in pony-starved fury*

  7. Blue yawned and rolled over to look at his clock, 1am. Why on earth was he awake ? He shook himself and realized his mouth was dry. Streaching he plodded down to his kitchen stopping deaad when he saw the pegasus on the sofa. he let out a breath of relief when he realized the events of the night before. He sighed softly and spoke quietly to the pony who he thought was still unconcious. "whew, we had quite the day didn't we ? I bet you'll be staring when you wake up, falling out of the sky into the ocean like that, guess you came pretty far. Shouldn't push yourself like that." he went into his kitchen still muttering. he got a drink of water for himself then checked his cupboards. " looks like i'm going shopping tomorrow" he sighed at the almost bare cupboards. He poked around in his fridge and found an apple pie his mother had made him. He placed a large slice of the pie and a glass of water near the yellow pegasus. "not a normal breakfast" he sighed lifting his own glass with magic. " but it'll have to do i guess" he drank his water and then proceeded back into his kitchen to put the glas in the sink.

  8. Blue Lagoon's head shot up as he saw something yellow fall from the sky, into the sea, a pony. As quick as he could he was cantering towards the shore line pludinging in with a mighty spash. When he reached the point where she had landed he looked around, finding nothing. Quickly he plunged down using had magic to help him see and breath underwater. eventually he found her, bobbing 2 feet below the surface of at water, unconcious.

He swan to retive her, pulling he above the water. and beginning to swim back to shore. As he swam he used magic to pull any water from her lung and fill them with fresh, clean air.

As he arrived back on shore he gently pushed her off him onto the soft sands of the shoreline. He used his hoof to push some of her soaking heair out of her face. He didn't think he'd ever seen this pony before. He glanced around, it had gotten too late to try to take her to a doctor now. He pulled her back onto him. thinking that she could rest up at his untill morning, then she could go get checked out.

As he arrived home he put her on his old but still comfertable sofa and pulled a blanket over her.

"you rest up now ya'hear ?" he said a little nervously to the concious pony. Before he left he gave her insides a quick once over with his magic. As far as he could work out, she had no internal bleeding or water in her lungs. The only thing he couldn't determine was if she had any broken bones, and he didn't want to just start pony this stranger pony. After a while of hoping she would be OK. He went upstairs to bed to wait for morning.

  9. Blue Lagoon yawned widely as he looked out at the coast. Sunset, his job was almost over, he watched happily as a few young fillies that were in his class splashed around in the shallows of the ocean. He felt very at peace with the world as he rested his head down on his hooves. smiling blissfully. At that moment he felt very content, soon he'd be walking home to house, and getting a good night's sleep. he used his magic to push some sand around a little piling it a few inches high to make a very lazy sand castle. He shook his head to stay awake, his eyes kept drooping shut. What he needed righ tnow was some exitment to wake him up properly.

  10. Sea skies let her wings carry her lazily on the sea breeze and she glided shoreward on a beautiful sunny afternoon in her hometown. She took in a deep breath inhailing the salty sea breeze and lowering herself a foot or two so her hooves skimmed the top of the water. She peered down into the crystal clear waters and watched the tropical fish dart away from her shadow. looked towards the soft sands of the shore as she pulled in towards them, letting her wings drop her an inch or two so she landed on the beach, waves lapping at her ankles. She began to slowly trot towards to the town. Something speical was going to happen today. She could feel it in the warm breeze that played with her mane pulling her inland stil further.

    Character Summary:

Vintage is the youngest of five, being the youngest by quite a bit, the sibling above her being a filly. Consequently while she was growing up her parents were getting on in years and weren't quite as able as they used to be. This mean she was around a lot of older things seeing as her parents held on to them. Even though Vintage was born blind and so couldn't read, she loved books, her parents reading many from the extensive library they owned. Vintage, not being a stupid Pony was aware that her parents were very cautious around her, as she grew up she was not allowed the same freedoms as ponies her age did, and she knew, from asking them, that her siblings had not received the same treatment. This began to irritate her, but she didn't say anything.

One day she was sitting in the library her father was reading to her from an old heavy book, about animals, she was only half listening, the summer sun was warming her coat, making her sleepy, but when her father mentioned bats she perked up. They were blind, like her, but used sonar to find out where objects were and were able to fly with ease, while Vintage obviously couldn't fly, it would definitely help her even just walking !

She began then and there to push out any kind of magic from her horn, and it worked ! A little, for the first time, she knew where the floor was in relation to the chair she was lying on. This relation made her jump up. It couldn't be very strong magic, as her father hadn't noticed anything, she tried again, pushing out the same relatively weak wave of magic to find her surroundings. While what she could see wasn't very far or detailed it was her first look at the real shape of the chair and of herself. She loved this new realization and began to practice with fervour, telling her parents what she was doing and having them help a great deal. However, she got most exited the first time she levitated something, while this wasn't any kind of special magic for a unicorn her age, something truly incredible happened to her, she saw real detail for the first time. She had picked up a book and could tell what the cover looked like, and what pages looked like, even though she could still not decipher words.

This got her so worked up that she began to levitate everything, seeing the world in real detail for the first time, however, she never told her parents about this, leaving it as a surprise. Until the day she got her cutie mark ( see below).

After that her father trained her up in the art of repairs, even though she didn't need much training, but the practice helped her speed incredibly.

While she did like to repair things that ponies dropped off, she loved to rescue old objects more. To find an old dis guarded object that had been deemed broken for good or worthless by it's previous owner and fixing it up to its former glory and selling it on.

    Cutie mark story :

Vintage's parents owned an old repair shop, had had long since given up training any of their children getting interested in the business before Vintage was born. Even after, they never trained Vintage into it as she was blind, and they thought she wouldn't be able to see any of the little cogs and things that it took to repair the things that they got in. Vintage however, could levitate the cogs and see them so clearly she could beat out her father for fitting them together, as she could focus so hard, being able to turn of any visual distractions from the outside world immediately, but this is what she kept secret, to surprise her family with. One day her father had been struggling with a particularity complex old pocket watch for a very rich client and had stormed out of his workshop in frustration, his wife followed him to give him comfort.

It was then that little Vintage sneaked into the work shop and picked up all the cogs one by one, then the stopwatch. She could focus on all the particular little dips and rises in the cogs and fit them all together perfectly. It took her quite a while though, to push in each cog to where it was supposed to go. When she had finished she tested the watch by winding it up, the triumphant tick, tick tick, of the now functional pocket watch was one of the best sounds she had ever heard, letting loose a loud woop of exhilaration. The noise pulled her parents back through and her father, amazed at the now functional watch told his daughter that he'd never been prouder. It was then that she got her cutie mark, a pocket watch identical to the one she had just fixed.

  12. She's so pretty ! i love that picture ! She'd be awesome friends with ZIggy ( my fortune telling Zebra ). If you're needing any help for her motivation maybe give her questions to ask ? like eg ( this is just off the top of my head you don't have to use this example at all !) she may not know who her parents are and so she tries to find answers in the night sky that she's always loved ? Just an idea, to have her be looking at the stars for answers ?

As usual feel free to ignore anything i say if it wouldn't fit in with you're char :P
