  1. Crescent was mentally preparing himself for the event when he heard a familiar voice call out to him. He snapped his head towards the noise wondering if it was the first participant when he saw his friend Fleetfoot standing in the entrance way to the stadium.

"Fleetfoot! hey how are ya! gosh yeah I've just been so excited. I mean its finally happened I'm a pro now!"

He did a loop in his happiness of finally being able to say that.

"So what are you doing here? I wouldnt guess you're leaving the wonderbolts, so I suppose you're here to help me judge?

He spoke much faster and more so in his energetic mood. He normally wasnt a stallion of many words but this day could well be the most important day of his life. He took a moment to regain his composure and intense focus that he was known for. Crescent saw another pegasus enter after Fleetfoot. He quickly flew past the wonderbolt and held out a hoof to the new comer.

"Hey there! welcome to the Aeroblades open tryouts! Im Crescent Blaze, team captain, I'll be doing the judging and a bit of participation and demonstration.

  2. Crescent Blaze blasted through Cloudsdale in his brand new red and black flight suit. The purple pegasus carried fliers with him, losing a few at the high speed, plastering them all over the city at a blistering pace. He couldnt believe it, not only had his colthood dream of going pro been achieved, he was now about to hold tryouts as captain for a whole new team of professional fliers! He considered himself lucky though, if not for his fillyfriend's father owning the incredibly successful "Lace" clothing line he may have never acquired sponsorship, and in turn this amazing opportunity. He slapped a few more fliers onto a building corner and stopped for a moment to admire his handiwork lifting up higher above the town. The entire city of Cloudsdale was plastered form bottom to top with fliers advertising the open tryouts at the cloudeseum. Crescent was a bit anxious as he made his way to the proving grounds, he would have to be the one to judge the participants and he could only choose five to be his starting team, Mr.Lace had told him specifically that back up fliers would be picked up later. In his excitement Crescent reached the Cloudeseum in no time at all, confidently awaiting the participants to arrive.

    The flier read:

Do You Have What It Takes To Be A Pro?

Lace clothing presents the Aeroblades! Think you got the right stuff to make the team? Then fly your flank to the cloudeseum today and show us what you can do! Space on the team is currently limited and only the most talented, skilled, and creative fliers will do! Tryouts will consist of four parts. A test of speed, a test of agility, a test of precision, and a test of endurance. All who make the team will be granted the honor of becoming a part of one of Equestria's next top flight teams and receive a custom tailored Aeroblades flight suit and goggles. Tryouts are open to spectators, and current pros are welcome to assist in judging. Good luck to all!

OOC: lets keep things in check here folks. determine a limit for your OC they can be really good but no flier is perfect, even the wonderbolts have their limits. So no sonic rainbooming the place to pieces or over the top impossible feats, We cant all be rainbow dash. as a marker Crescent is a very highly skilled flyer, wonderbolt material we'll say and this is his top routine http://tifitzmas.dev...utine-299488264

  3. but random encounters are what makes it fun! its not as enjoyable if we know whats gonna happen all the time. just do your thing its your thread your world have fun with it! and actually now that i think about it i wouldnt mind dming an npc character here and there, but when they appear should still be your choice

  4. well I want to limit cast characters to secondary, maybe One or two mane characters at the most, but mainly encourage people to use OCs. Basically if you wanna use a cast member run it by me first. As for weapons, guns are a big no no, but cannons I suppose are fine as long as they arent shooting anything lethal, maybe apple pies since apparently those are enough to take down a bison when thrown. Im sticking by that though, nothing with the possibility to maim, kill, or seriously injure will be a part of this thread, its rather essential to the plot development.

  5. "Sorry to bother you with such a stupid question...its just kinda been a dream of mine to be the first pegasus to fly to the moon since I was a colt. Call it an inability to believe in impossibilities."

Crescent looked around slightly embarrassed as he spoke not realizing that Val had hinted towards the possibility of the venture.

OOC: I AM SOOO SORRY FOR FORGETTING ABOUT THIS! It just sorta skipped my mind, Im doing like 6 other rps and its finals week. GAH! :scream:

  6. Ok so me and a buddy of mine on here had the idea to do a red dead ponies crossover. Basically after John Marston dies he is given a second chance at true redemption by the "Strange man" (he was supposed to represent the grim reaper or some such) by being sent to Equestria. In an alternate turn of events Jack is there too as he seeks revenge on the officers who killed his father immediately upon seeing his demise. they gun him down and he is sent to Equestria with his father. The story begin in Equestria similar to the beginning of the game with John out cold on the side of a road outside appleloosa (he's a pony now) where someones OC will have to pick him up and bring him home. Jack will wake up in town by an outhouse. Jack will be rather excited about the new experience after the initial shock of it all while Jack must try to adjust to a world where all the vices of his own are nonexistent and violence is unheard of. There are no guns bombs or whatever, this the Equestria we all know from the show so the Cast characters are welcome to join, along with any OCs of course. John and jack meet each other at the sheriffs office applying to take up the task of locating a missing settlement south of Appleloosa. All characters are welcome to try to accompany John and Jack on a journey more of self discovery and bonding than anything else, but there will be a fair share of action. Dont expect John to be nice to your character.

questions? advice? is this workable? interested?

  7. "WOAH!" crescent yelped as the usually reserved dragon pony zoomed passed where he was hovering in wait for him. He was going to have him help blow them out like candles with the draft from there wings but looking back fanning air on them was probably the worst thing thing could have done. Draco with his imperviousness to flame seemed to have this challenge under wraps and crescent not being able to do much on the offensive since his sword normally just as effective against the incorporeal, would not do a thing against a being of pure flame alone. He played the look out from the air. calling out enemy positions so the lot of them could keep their distance while Draco dispatched them.

    "LUCKY TEN O'CLOCK!"

  8. Crescent immediately went into full concentration taking in everything around him trying to formulate a plan.

"He means water! Find something to douse them with! or dirt! suffocate them somehow! Just whatever you can find to put them out!"

He lifted off staying directly above where was and looked back down.

"Draco come with me! I have an idea and I need your wings!"

He swooped towards the nearest flaming ghast keeping a high altitude to distance himself from the flames, expecting Draco to follow.

  9. Crescent Blaze was making his way through cloudsdale on his way home from the race track. The purple stallion had just come off a big win and was feeling pretty good when he heard a thump and a familiar voice.

    "Ohmygosh! I'm so sorry!"

Crescent banked towards the sound and saw the two pegasi tangled in heap below deciding to help out an see if knew either of them. He landed a little roughly next to them reaching out a hoof to help.

"Hey you two ok? I heard the crash and thought I'd lend a hoof." Crescent recognized the mare as soon as he helped her up.

"Hey you! how have you been? Cloudsdale treating you alright as usual?

He refrained from mentioning her name in front of the other pegasus, he knew how she got around fawning fans. He helped up the other pegasus as he waited for an answer.

"You gonna be ok there friend?"

  10. Crescent patted Draco on the back a few times.

"Its alright there Drac. If you need to hurl just do it. You'll feel better once its out of the way. Dont worry you did great. Just be ready before he sends out the next batch."

Crescent looked over at wilden and the rest of the group. this first wave may have been easy but there was no way Devastation had called them there for an easy slaughter. There was no doubt they were going to have to work together at some point, and Crescent felt the need to try and rally the loose group together. He took flight and hovered a few hooves away from Draco.

    "Alright! everypony...ermm...and wolf... gather round!"

  11. sorry dude Im not gonna speak for the staff but I think they will share my opinion that there is no evidence in the show to suggest this is possible in canon... :( as rad as it may be I would save yourself the grief and label it crossovers like all the other dragon ponies...

  12. "Fantastic Draco! Keep it up!" Crescent hollered the encouragement as he swiftly cleaved the head off another spider and bucked another behind him onto its back, folowing up with a stab to its exposed abdomen. Its green goopy guts spattered his face as he removed his sword from the exo-skeletal sheath. Crescent spared a glace around, this was hardly a challenge. Giant spiders? what cave in equestria didnt have those? He hadnt even begun to focus yet. He hoped things didnt get too taxing though, he didnt have to go into his hyper concentration mode as he called it. Last time that had happened he had lost it a bit...He took position by Draco's left side again deciding to wait for the enemies to come to him, it would be better to conserve his energy for the harder challenges.

  13. Crescent held the amazing broadsword in his hoof, it was big for his taste and seemed more suited to two hooves, but the amazing quality was unarguable. He closely examined the razor sharp obsidian edge reinforced with dragon bone and found it to be the only sword he had seen so far who's edge rivaled his own blade Night Fire, a magic resistant falchion made of sky steel. He held the weapon by the handle with his hoof and gave it a few swings testing the balance. The dragon bone gave the sword an unprecedented lightness and the balance was as close to perfect as he had seen. He examined the runes next, he only recognized a few, but from what he could tell they were wards that allowed the blade to be resistant to most magics as his own was and additionally to protect the blade's durability so it would not need to be sharpened as often as usual. He held the blade with admiration whoever made this weapon was one of the most masterful smiths to ever grace the land of equestria if the sword was even from this world. He looked at the undead Griffin ruler and held the weapon for him to take it back.

"It is as fine a weapon as I've ever laid eyes on. I would like you to hold on to it until I complete this ordeal. I could never use a blade i havent familiarized myself with in battle. I would need time to perfect my technique with such a different sword than my own."

Crescent saw the others heading down to the arena.

"Shall we? oh actually i have one more question, well two actually. well no three. Im curious about the blade's history. I havent seen one as glorious in actual combat capability as my own, Night Fire, in all of equestria. I would very much like to know it's name, and who made it and how."

He spoke as he made his way to the descending corridor

  14. Crescent looked at the sword from afar and could tell no more about it from there other tan it was very flashy yet sinister and dark in its appearance. I made him think of a moonlit needle dipped in blood. He had to examine it before he made any deals though, a sword was a work of detail, and while it appeared quite deadly Crescent's instincts told him he had to be sure. He approached the Monarch of madness at his throne.

"Would you mind if I took a closer look? I'd like to appraise the blade before I make any deals."

  15. Crescent went on guard as the sizable creature stood face to face with him again.

"I just want a black professional flight suit with lightning proof fabric, and drag reduction, with some matching tinted goggles, instead of the land. the bits are still fine though."

    He thought for another moment.

"And a unique sword to add to my collection. If that isnt asking too much. maybe that instead of the bit if I really like what you have to offer"

  16. "Hey you still have yet to sweeten the deal there Monarch. I thought we all made it pretty clear we're not going anywhere until we get an alternative prize"

Crescent stood where he was. Land? he had no use for land he was a racer, and he really didnt feel like keeping stock of something away from cloudsdale. He thought for a moment of what he might want if the Monster was so inclined as to ask, and thought that a professional grade racing suit with all the works, lightning protection, friction resistance, and some matching tinted goggles would be fine, He didnt really need anything too expensive other than that.

  17. The wolf's reaction had put Crescent on edge more than ever, and he closed his eyes and shook his head to draco as if to say I dont think he wants your help. He wasnt much for killing intelligent creatures but if any of these characters gave him and his new buddy any real trouble he wouldnt hesitate to start slicing. And he did consider draco his "buddy" at this point. The shy creature had brought out the protector in him and, while dragon ponies were known to be solitary and able to handle themselves, Crescent had subconsciously decided to take responsibility for his well being. He stuck close to the large green scaly pony and turned his attention to Devastation. Hearing Wilden's comment perked his ears as he hadnt really thought much of the plain prize.

"Yeah what am I supposed to do with land? What else ya got?"

  18. "tell me about it, I've dealt with my fair share of bullies, The name's Crescent Blaze, Draco, and if i might add a speck of advice. You should never forget what you are the rest of Equestria will not. Wear it like armor and it can never be used to hurt you. I take a lot of pride in my heritage and that has always gotten me though tough situations. of course a lifetime of training in swordplay helps too... anyway I guess i'll ask whats on all our minds at this point. what brings you here?

Crescent lowered his guard a bit, if he could ally himself with this dragon pony he would have a better chance of surviving the monsters below the palace. Even if this one was timid Crescent had heard tell that dragon ponies were renowned instinctual fighters.
