  1. "WOAH COOL! Your part dragon! Thats awesome! Why would you wanna hide being a dragon pony? You know there are more of you right?"

Crescent lighted down and examined the exotic pony at closer range. He had heard of dragon ponies but never saw one up close before. He got a good look before returning the cloak to its owner.

"Why would you hide this? Its nothing to be ashamed of really. Sorry to make you so upset though, my apologies. Friends? "

  2. Crescent spoke up for the first time in a while feeling the need to speak. Everything going on had been such a spectacle that he had been content to just wait and watch. When the wolf entered Crescent though he was the only one who noticed and took on a higher guard but it appeared the creature was but another guest. But this new pony something was clearly off he could tell the moment he saw him, Crescent had a bit off sixth sense when it came to ponies keeping secret from him, and Crescent didnt like things being kept from him. His suspicions were confirmed with Devastation's comment. His impulsiveness took hold of him and he flitted over to the robed pony and looked him square in the eye with his tell me the truth or i'll knock your block off gaze.

"Your clearly saying you arent what you appear to be. We all know it now, so there is no reason to hide it. Besides If you dont show us then how do I know your trustworthy enough to work with?"

He put a hoof on his sword to emphasize the seriousness of his accusation

  3. Crescent Held the wolf at sword point as Runner struggled to keep it grappled. This was certainly a dilemma. He didnt want to kill it but it had attacked them. Then on the other hoof it was probably just hungry like everyone else, and trying to stay alive. If this creature was intelligent it might be worth a shot trying to communicate with. First things first, he needed to minimize risk he didnt want this young colt to get hurt.

"Colt, go wait at camp, and dont touch anything. I dont know if you can understand me, wolf, but I dont wanna have to kill you. I would say you could join us but we have no meat other than the stuff on our bones."

Crescent stood there holding the sword in the wolf's face waiting for a response.

  4. Crescent laid the peach at the colt's feet and waited for a response. there was a slight breeze, the first he'd felt all day in this dead wasteland. There was something on it, a scent, though Crescent couldnt make out what it was exactly he thought it might be an animal of some kind maybe. something that could help! Runner was the survivalist though and it would be safer to get his confirmation before running after strange smells.]

"Hey kid our camp is right around the corner. Feel free to head back there. HEY SCOUT ITS ALRIGHT HE'S FRIENDLY!"

He sniffed the air again trying to figure out what it was that carried the small odor.

    "Hey runner. you smell that?"

OOC: LOL ZACK YOU SEE WHAT I DID THERE?? HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  5. "Yeah leave it here and get out your knife we have a visitor hiding over by that collapsed wall. you take the far side and wait for me to show myself on the near one. Once you hear me talking step around the corner and stay silent. Just be there to block the path, if he tries anything funny. "

Crescent drew his blade and silently flew over to the corner of the debris lighting down quietly. He waited for Runner to move into position before making his move. Crescent took a deep breath and went into hyper focus mode clearing his mind of everything but the situation. He whipped around the corner sword pointed out. He saw the young black pony holding a tin box of what appeared to be food that had long since expired.

"Stay where you are! I dont want to fight but I will if I must!"

  6. Crescent heard Runner's sound off While he was surveying the land for anything suspicious, when a flicker of movement by one of the scorched remnants of a building caught his eye.

"That's great runner Now find what we need and hurry back I need you help me check something out."

Crescent heard Scout's comments about the quarry nodding i approval.

"We'll check it out later. right now we may have company. I need you to stay here and keep a sharp eye on all of our supplies while me and Runner go check it out. Here."

He handed her the rock he used to hammer in the posts.

"Stay hidden behind the rocks and if anypony shows up knock them out with this. There are sure to be more than a few desperate souls out here that want what we have."

Crescent put a hoof on his sword and waited for Runner to return with whatever he found so they could check out the disturbance.

  7. "Wasnt quite what i had in mind but with your idea we'll have more room inside than I originally planned. We can use this rock I found as a hammer to knock these sticks into the ground on the outsides of the rocks. Then we can string the rope back and forth between the tops of the sticks to make a zigzag pattern across the space between the rocks. That way if Runner finds any big pieces of cloth we can drape them over top and weight them down on the sides with rocks or dirt. If he doesnt we should at least be able to find some wood to layer over the rope and lean against the rocks. I would prefer cloth though so we can pack it up and move it with it. So why dont you look for some rocks we can use as weights and any firewood you happen to come across. I'll start hammering in the sticks and working the rope.

Crescent took out the Rock with the flat side and began hammering in the sticks with it using two hooves. when he finished that he flew into the air and started stringing the rope between the sticks and over the gap between the rocks. He flew up higher to listen for runner's sound off

  8. "there has to be a way to make some kind of shelter with what we found."

Crescent took stock of the sticks rope and bags. He had an idea.

"Runner are you sure there wasnt even a single large piece of fabric in that old store? cuz otherwise we're gonna need wood for more than just a fire. Alright first off lets get the food in the bags. Runner go check around again for any big pieces of cloth you can find, sound off when you reach the store so we know your alright. Scout, you come with me we're gonna set up camp on the west side of this hill, we might be able to block some of the wind. Alright go time!"

Crescent put some of the food into his saddle bag and strapped it on. He picked up the rope and sticks carrying them over to the base of the nearby hill expecting Scout to follow.

  9. "Thats great Runner. Alright Scout sound off and meet us in the center of town."

Crescent alighted in an open area where the other two could easily find him. This place still made him nervous, that scout hadnt seen anything for day made him suspricious that the eerie silence of the ruins wasnt natural. There should have at least been bugs or something, buzzing around but the entire town was quieter than tomb. While he waited for Runner and Scout he surveyed the area again hoping to find some tools of any kind. he Found a heavy rock with one flat side that could work well as a make-shift mallet if properly applied. He had a thought.

"Anyone see any clothe around? We need a bag or a sling to carry or things.

  10. "Alright, but we cant separate too far, if something happens where one of us gets hurt or finds trouble we need to be nearby. Stay within a 100 meter radius and sound off every now and then. If you dont let us know you're ok we'll come looking."

Crescent took off scanning the ghost town from the air trying to keep and eye on both of the other ponies as well. He spotted a small pile of thin broken sticks behind an out house, and some rope hanging from a wooden 2nd floor balcony. He also spotted the well, it was on the far side of town partially hidden from view.

"Runner! looks like we might have some workable wood over by the outhouse. Why dont you go check it out. I'm gonna go grab some rope. Scout it looks like the well is on the far side of town. Wait for me and Runner to sweep the town until we get closer and then fill the canteens. For now try to see if you can find any useful tools inside what's left of these buildings. Hammers and nails, or maybe things to make some sort of weapons for you two.

He swooped lower to get the rope and looped the 15 or so hooves of it onto his shoulder. He waited a moment for them make some progress.

  11. "Go time." He said affirmatively. "Well it seems we have a well balanced set of skills to work with."

He made his way over a sandy hill with the others and turned his attention fully on Runner, planning to make full use of his skills

"So Runner you have some survival experience. Any decent way to make a shelter in this landscape with what we have? Rain is great for drinking water but if we get drenched overnight we risk hypothermia, I imagine the evenings here are very cold."

  12. I like this guy! the humility of not being broken up over his disability is nice, and the story of how that occured is good. I think you should elaborate more on the details of his childhood and how exactly he got his cutie mark. How did he feel when these events happened what do they mean to him, cutie mark included. Otherwise pretty solid app :)

  13. "well no sense just sitting around talking until we get caught. Lets go everypony."

Crescent took the lead, subconsciously asserting himself into an alpha role. He looked confidently out over the landscape, somewhere out there was some form of salvation for them, there had to be. He refused to believe he lived in a world with unsolvable problems or impossible tasks, to him with enough determination there were no such things. He spoke to the others as he walked

"We're going to need to work together if we're going to get through this all in one piece. So I think it would be best if we each shared our strengths. So I, for example, can fight rather well and I am a very skilled flier. What about you two?

  14. "I suppose that's not a bad idea, the farther in we go the less likely we are of running into those monstrous 'Guardians'. Plus If we make it to a settlements there will be security in the greater numbers."

Crescent realized that because there was this one earth pony that they would have to walk all the way there. He hated walking, preferring much rather to fly anywhere, though given the circumstance it might be best to keep a low profile and keep close to the ground. He finished his apple and buried the core to keep from leaving evidence anypony had been there.

"Scout you mentioned 'dangerous stuff' breaks up the border of no lands end, what kind of danger do you mean? Natural landscapes, wild animals, bandits? I couldnt imagine there would be any 'guardians' this far to the edge of Ole Stormy's territory."

  15. Crescent stepped off of the earth pony called Runner, he wondered if that was a pseudonym or if that was his actual name. He calmed himself,

"Sorry friend, didnt mean to hurt you if I did, flying for your life for days on end can do this to ya. Cant be too careful these days, and yeah you can call me Pro."

Crescent turned his attention back to Scout,

"Scout eh? nice to meet you. You say you havent seen anything else around for days. I was under the impression there was some sort of secret settlement around here. None of that? I was hoping to finally get some kind of food in me, I havent eaten in days."

His stomach growled as if on cue.

OOC: Crecent isnt that big, just lean and athletic, actually a bit slimmer than your average pegasi stallion despite his athleticism. He's strong but he excels more in agility and speed. also i think i forgot to mention he is carrying a sword. my bad.

  16. Crescent immediately went into survival mode as the boisterous pony called to them revealing their location to any nearby threats. He exploded into the air towards the light brown earth pony. keeping low to the ground he tackled him in under a second pinning him by his shoulders. Whispering fiercely crescent said "Are you stupid or something? are you Trying to get us all killed? you could have given away our position to anypony or anything that was looking for us. Talk! Who are you and what are you doing just trotting around in the open?!" Crescent was ticked at this pony's carelessness and had clearly blown his top, but then his impulsiveness had saved him in more that one occassion

  17. Crescent had been unnerved by the Skeleton's uncanny ability to read him like an open book. Ponies usually commented on how he was able to keep himself well composed in tight situations. His walking backwards without breaking eye contact made him nervous again, he felt as if he was being lured He tried to shrug off the embarrassment. Whatever this Monarch's intentions they didnt seem to have turned malevolent quite yet. Never the less his hoof flew to his sword hilt as there was more knocking, more of a resounding boom in the echoing castle. Upon seeing it was a normal pony he was a bit relieved. At least he wasnt alone anymore. He litsened to them converse about eating ponies and stiffened at the mention of the subject. As the two made their way back to him he called out,

"So what exactly are we supposed to do here? Is there like a competition or something? Or do you have something for us to do?

  18. "Nice to meet you Val. you mind if i call you that? An adventurer huh? wow thats quite the tale." Crescent had a thought, "Say you've been around right? This is gonna sound really crazy but Have you maybe ever heard of any way to fly to the moon? Its been a colthood dream of mine that i havent really been able to let go." He sized up this adventurer and verified by experience he must have seen some serious action. the wear of his hooves and the unkempt nature of his mane were indicative of this.

  19. "This was definitely a mistake. Well I came here for a reason, no sense in backing out now." Crescent thought to himself. Truthfully When the Skeletal Griffin had thrown the doors open Crescent didnt show any sign of fear or remorse as per usual, but on the inside he nearly shrank away in horror. He had never seen a creature such as this, this...thing what may have once been a griffin, looked more suited to be hanging behind the gates of tartarus than living in an obsidian mansion mere miles from the Equestrian capitol. Crescent recomposed himself, he wouldnt let the situation get to him. His combat was swift and his focus was honed sharper than any blade. Crescent followed Devastation through the doors, cautiously surveying for traps and possible ambush points. He didnt like this situation at all, he shouldnt have come alone. "My Name is Crescent Blaze I'm a stunt flier in cloudsdale and I also practice proficiency in combat, it runs in the family. I guess you are this Monarch of Madness the flier mentioned. I have to admit I've never heard of you."

  20. Crescent reached his apartment in cloudsdale in practically no time at all. Reaching under his bed he pulled out the long lacquered wood case that held his family' s airloom sword. An ancient falchion, impervious to all but the strongest of magics, and said to have been forged from steel that fell from the sky. He strapped on his sword flog and attached his sword and sheath. then set off for this Madness Manor. Crescent had never heard of the place but the Parchment had shown a map location, and in no time he was navigating his way to the premises. Upon arrival Crescent started to think that it might have been a mistake coming here. Dark stone walls that shone like glass reflected his own stoic image back to him as he walked towards the huge double doors and knocked.
