1. Page Thought for a moment, he didn't want to leave any pony behind, but if one of them didn't distract the shadows, they might not get very far when they reached the lobby of the library... Page hesitated- ".....Ok....." He then grabbed Fantasy's hoof and started to head towards the exit.
2. Page cocked his head... Meet and greets, at a time like this? I apologize for my rudeness, but now is not the time to be introducing yourself, My companion, Fantasy Trope should be here any minute, and then I think we should get out of here rather quickly. Page anxiously awaited Fantasy to arrive, he had really had enough of this, and was ready to get rid of the ghouls hiding out in his library...
3. (Oh my god... I really need to get better at replies!!!!) Page began to make his way to the small, flickering light. All the while keeping note of Fantasy's position. the light seemed miles away, but within 10 minutes Page had stepped into the range of the light to greet his new found friend.
4. Page was exhausted, but when he heard Fantasy's voice he instantly got up, and jumped over to her. "I think we need to ru-" Page suddenly noticed a small, flickering light in the distance. "Some other pony is here, I think we should go and help them before the shapes get him.
5. Page had only been walking for about 5 minutes before the whispers had started again, Page was filled with dread, he had assumed that the statue was the source of the shapes, this proved otherwise, but, none the less he continued to aimlessly wonder the library. As the whispers grew louder, the pitter patter of foot steps filled Page's ears. He stopped, as a cold shiver ran down his spine, but, once again, he regained his composure and pushed on. After a walking in a straight line for what seemed like hours, Page made an abrupt decision to make a left, he felt around for a bookshelf and began to turn, but as he did, he crashed head first into a tall dark figure. Page looked up, only to see yet another creature, he turned to run, but only found another one in his path, yet again, he was surrounded. Page quickly ran through his options, well, option. He had to teleport out of there, but casting a teleportation spell would use up the remainder of his energy, resulting in utter exhaustion. But then again, what choice did he have, he didn't exactly want to find out what these creatures had install for him if he was caught. Page's horn began to glow again with the same purple light, by the point the creatures were almost legs distance, half a second later and page had dissipated in a flash of light, and reappeared on top on a nearby bookshelf. All he could do was sit and hope fantasy had seen the light.
6. Page also agreed that this was an excellent Idea, but, five steps into their journey they were obviously lost... And, although they thought they were going in the one, and only one direction, it became blatantly obvious that they were aimlessly wondering the ails of the now, massive library. "Fantasy..." No reply, Page turned around only to see a wall of thick darkness. "Fantasy!?!" Page felt a sudden jolt of fear run down his spine after realizing that he was alone in a dark, possibly changeling infested library... Page ran through his options, He needed to get out of here, but he couldn't just leave Fantasy. Page decided that trying to go back the way he came would get him no where,so he began to wonder the endless ails looking for a way out, or better yet, Fantasy Trope.
7. ((I wont be online for most of the day tomorrow, sorry ))
8. After the creatures had fled, Page began to wonder how on earth they were going to get out. "Fantasy, we have two problems, firstly, how are we ever going to get out of here, and secondly.....I cant really keep this spell going for much longer" It was true, Page and Fantasy hadn't exactly gone in a strait line, and the light from the original library had long since faded. But before Page could speak another word, his magical light began to flicker as it faded away into the darkness.
9. By now the figures had formed a tight circle around the two ponies. "I don't think running would be an option even if we weren't surrounded" The whispers had now abruptly turned to defening screams, wich forced Page to clutch his ears as the suspected changelings grew ether closer. "Fantasy....I don't know if this is going to work, but I'm going to try" With that Page's horn began to glow with magical light as a bolt of energy collided with the copper statue. The statue melted immediatly, the screams then turned to shreiks that grew ever louder as the creatures that had surrounded them began to flee.
10. As Page approached the object, he too noticed that it was a bronze statue inpictioning a pony....but it was... Different , Page squinted at the statue as the whispers grew ever louder. Pages heart skipped a beat as he realised what the statue was inpictioning: "It's... A changeling...." The moment the words left Page's mouth, more dark shapes appeard in the distance. The whispers, growing ever louder were now almost deathening as the shapes started getting closer.
11. ((OCC: so so sorry I haven't replied in ages!!!)). Page gave a faint but sure smile. "I think we should keep moving" As the pair moved further through the darkness, the whispers got louder...closer. Page squinted as a large object appeared. "Let's check this thing out"
12. ((OCC: I have Internet!!!!! So the thread can continue as normal))
13. ((OCC: I will be on holiday in New Zealand for the next two weaks, and may or may not reply to this thread depending on if I have Internet or not. Thanks. - gaedwyn))
14. Page and Fantasy continued down into the darkness, and as they continued, Page realised that he didn't recognise any of the books either. And, he soon realised that this, "new" setion of the library was actually expanding outwards. Page was stopped by the pitter patter of footsteps and whispers, in hushed, frantic tones. The entrance to the dark passage had long since dissapaited from sight, it would be a while before they could find there way back out. Page turned around, and letr out a sigh of relief when he saw Fantasy with about as much shock on her face as himself. "Di...Did you hear that?"
15. Page grinned, "And anything could be something new and interesting!" Page stood up and headed towards Fantasy, but as he approached, he noted that his heart rate increased and adrenalin began to surge throughout his body. Page watched as Fantasy dissipated into the darkness, before rehearing and confirming his fears, Page sighed "I suspected as much, hold on, I know a spell that might be useful" Page smiled, his horn began to glow has part of the darkness was illuminated via a ball of beautiful light at the tip of his horn. He looked into the darkness, and then at Fantasy and smiled. "Shall we"?
