Hey assassins, please don't kill me.

To me, there are two things that should distinguish any given REA battalion. Helmet Crest pattern, and their Shoulder Sleeve Insignia. Like this,

Now normally this proposal wouldn't be necessary, because there are no visual references in the REA lore. That's where I come in. I'm willing to custom-made a full sleeve insignia for any Royal Equestrian Army Battalions, you might have in mind. And an additional helmet crest pattern. Just tell me your design instructions below, and i'll PM it to you in about a week tops. Just a few things.

1. Please do not request any coat of arms, I do not have the time, nor the skill to make them.

2. This request thread is meant only for mods, helpstaff, or any staff members who could add to the Equestrian lore, without the need for a proposal.

3. I will only be doing Airborne battalions right, for I do not have the available tabs (titles) to do any Cataphract, Magus, or Pathfinder battalions. (I will soon though). EDIT* I can still do other battalion types, but you won't get the correct tabs until later on.

4. Please keep the comments to requests only, even though I cannot control what you post below, it would make my work alot easier.

5. I am also unable to do any pony-skull designs. I could do human, but I doubt it would fit into the lore.

Roleplay Type: World of Equestria

Name: Siegfried the Brave (or just Siegfried) (color tag, Brown)

Sex: Male

Age: Stallion

Species: Pegasus

Eye Color: Gold

Coat Color: ​ Grayish- Brown

Mane/Tail/Markings Color & Style: Mane is mostly blown backwards, Tail is slightly long and shaggy, Color is Black and dark grey. His left eye has a vertical scar running down through it, because of a strike from a manticore's barbed tail. Also has alot of bruises, scars and a chipped ear, for his job is not the safest in Equestria.

Physique: Stocky and well built. Medium size.

Cutie Mark: A black, manticore paw-print.

Origin/Residence: Born in Stalliongrad, but then retreated to the surrounding woodlands as a hermit, where he started his business.

Occupation: Owns a small business in the surrounding woodlands of Stalliongrad, near the River Stadia. He works as a creature tamer.

Motivation: He loves to sing, and he enjoys what he does for a living. But hopes that someday he will find a mate, who loves and accepts him for who he is.

Likes: ​Singing (although not very good at it), Apple cider, hunting for dangerous creatures, sleeping, collecting rare items, eating, helping ponies, and flying.

Dislikes: Being sick, getting injured, being interrupted, bad jokes, sour people, losing customers, bananas.

Virtues: Very good humored and mirthful, funny, and skilled tracker. He also makes the best tarts in all of Equestria.

Flaws: Can be loud and obnoxious, and annoying and at times, can also show extreme affection towards good friends, hugging them, and kissing them on the cheek.

Character Summary: ​ Siegfried was part of a rich family, his mother passed away at a very young age. So he lived with his father, along with his twin and older brothers. Siegfried was a minority in his family. His father ran a very wealthy company of selling wagon wheels in Stalliongrad. His older brother was a high-ranking Major in the Stallian Guard. His twin brother was a very intelligent pony, who had flawless grades in all his classes, and was an amazing artist. Who was Siegfried? He was a strange and independent pony, who was seriously lacking in skill. He was very scrawny at the time, he was getting spectacularly bad grades, who could barely get past the simple stick-figure. Plus he was very mischievous in school, and always got himself in trouble. Because of that, poor blank-flanked Siegfried was relentlessly battered with the usual "Why can't you be more like your big-brother" and the "Why cant you be more like your twin-brother" speeches every day of his waking life. Until he had enough. He had enough of being a nobody, enough of being lost in the shadows of his superior brothers...

So he ran away.

He ran, because he wanted to be free from what other ponies thought of him, he ran because he could finally live a life without shame, because his brothers were infinitely better than him. He was happy, he was free...

And he was lost, very lost. The woods surrounding Stalliongrad was big and scary. And Siegfried had nowhere to go. But Siegfried quickly recollected himself, and attempted to use the survival techniques he learned from his big brother. It worked, and by nightfall, Siegfried was sleeping next to his own meager fire, providing little warmth and sleeping in a uncomfortable makeshift sleeping mat. Siegfried hated it, but still strongly prefers it over his old life back in Stalliongrad. It's been nearly a week now, and Siegfried was still trying to survive in the wild. He had already made a successful campfire, and a survival tent out of sticks and leaves, and he left to gather water, when he came back, something was rummaging through his supplies...

A Manticore.

Siegfried saw the animal, but luckily, it didn't see him. To his utter demise, the Manticore was defacing his campsite, and eating his food! Siegfried suddenly felt an emotion of anger well up inside of him. Steaming with rage, he stomped out off the bushes to confront the beast. He was so furious, at the time, he didn't care if he'd get hurt by the Manticore. Siegfried puffed out his chest, and yelled out as loud as he could.

"Hey!"

The beast ceased his activities, then growling furiously, he turned to face the colt. Siegfried's anger suddenly turned to absolute horror. What in Celestia was he actually thinking? He still managed to maintain his maintain his shouting, after all, if he's going to die, he might as well die yelling!

"What are you doing, you stupid kitty, that's my stuff you're destroying there! Stop it, right now!"

With that, Siegfried closed his eyes shut, and awaited the worst. In a final attempt to save his life, he said one more thing...

"Please?"

After what seemed like the longest fifteen seconds of his life, Siegfried finally opened his eyes, to see an unbelievable sight. The Manticore was curled up on the floor, and was whimpering with a sullen and resentful face. Still weary about the situation, Siegfried gingerly patted the Manticore's back.

"Um, its okay?"

Siegfried was still unaware of what to make of the situation. But before the Pegasus could back away, the Manticore outstretched it's hind-paws, and then wrapped them tightly around Siegfried's leg, and then fell soundly asleep. Siegfried tried his absolute hardest to struggle free, but to no avail. The Manticore's grip was just too strong! Eventually he gave up, and then lied down as far away from the animal as possible, then he fell asleep. Little did Siegfried know, by midnight, he'd be practically snuggling with the Manticore. And by the next day, the animal was gone, but Siegfried gained is cutie-mark.

By the time he reached Stallion age, Siegfried's gift of speech made him famous all over the frontier, and quite possibly all of Equestria. Siegfried starred in numerous circuses and shows, and even started his own business in animal taming, and training. Due to his talent, he was also called up by the REA, to serve as an active reserve for whenever there is a animal-based national emergency, like a dragon.

How does this sound for a good (future) Crossover RP? A Half-Life/MLP Crossover. To the people who don't know what Half-Life is, it is a video game developed by the Valve Corporation in 1998. The story is about a underground research facility called Black Mesa. It houses the worlds most intelligent and brightest scientists. But one day, a experiment went horribly wrong, and a cross-dimensional rip, devastating the entire facility. And spouting deadly aliens, randomly spawning them throughout Black Mesa. Worse yet, the Hazardous Environment Combat Unit (HECU) was sent to Black Mesa to exterminate any living thing within the facility, Humans (or Ponies in this matter) and Aliens alike.

So, anyways, in the MLP version of Half-Life, the underground research facility is called the Black Canyon Equestrian Research Facility, or just Black Canyon. It is located in the Raptorclaw Canyon. With special permission from the Gryphons. The purpose of this this facility is research and discover higher Arcane Sciences, for the greater good. If you want to apply for this job, there are three positions to fill:

Scientist:

Very intelligent ponies, harbors a white lab-coat, and carries a medical syringe for healing sick or injured ponies. But can pick up weapons later on.

HEV Specialist:

These are scientist ponies equipped in the Mark IV Hazardous Enviroment Suit. This suit can protect a pony from potentially fatal wounds. Carries nothing at first, but can pick up weapons along the way. Can be any color the user wants.

Security Guard:

The authorites of Black Canyon, these ponies are deployed to maintain law and order within the Facility. Can be armed with either a Glock 17, or occasionally, a SPAS-12 pump shotgun, can pick up weapons along the way.

Anyway this is the US army ranks, just in Latin.. I knew that Dio would be using US army ranks, so I translated it all to Latin, because...

1. Orders 1-4 all have Roman army weapons as their names.

2. The Armor design looks alot like (and is actually based on) real-life Roman Soldiers.

And I also did the Stalliongrad ranks in Russian, because Dio was basing the Stallian army on the Russian army. (Stalliongrad is a ponification of Stalingrad, which was a real-life city in Russia).

But if my REA army ranks are scrapped, can I at least keep the Specialist rank and subdivisons (minus the fancy-shamancy Latin)? I don't see it conflicting with Dio's REA lore, plus it'll suck if all my hard work would go to waste...

Argentum- (Financial) The treasurers of the REA, in charge of salaries and financing.

Auctoritas- (Security) The authorities of the REA, to secure law and order within the ranks.

Architectus- (Engineering) The builders of the REA, specializes in any construction or repairs needed for the REA.

Legatus- (Diplomacy) In charge of any communication or diplomacy between other species. Can speak in several different languages.

Venatus- (Monster Hunting) Specializes in the extermination of potentially dangerous creatures.

When a given militant is awarded a specialist rank, the names above serves as a sufffix to their title. Ex: Artifex Medicus.

(Argentum Specialists are never deployed in the field.)

**Commissioned ranks, are leadership ranks of the REA. Requires a 2-year enrollment in the Royal Equestrian Officer Academy. Located in Stalliongrad.

***Stalliongrad integrated battalions has an separate army ranking system.

No the bible doesn't count, because it was not written all at once, but a complication of various people over a very long period of time. Like upwards of a thousand. Some of it is poetry, (Song of Solomon, Psalms, Proverbs.) Some of it is military accounts (Joshua.) Others are letters to a certain town or city. (Ecclesiastes, Ephesians, Romans,) And others are simply historical accounts (Mark, Luke, John, Matthew, Acts.) And one is even a prophecy of the end times, (Revelation).

The Bible isn't one single book, but a masterwork of different writers, and poets.

It is split up into chapters, which I'm pretty sure still count as a single story. (Lord of the Rings is separated into 6 books and still counts as one story anyway.)

Personally, I think it is rather amazing how well the story fits together considering how little editing went into the thing as a whole. Even though I'm a fan, I think there are parts where it probably could benefit from some revisions. Of course, that is the case with most fan fiction I guess.

Also... I'm pretty sure Hollow is talking about a different "R" word.
