1. This is a cool idea. Kinda wish I had a character for it, but all my REA ponies are past the training point and none of my other ponies would be interested. :/

One of your REA ponies could be a drill instructor. Or perhaps even, if they happen to screw up too many times in service, they could go through re-training.

I don't see why not, seeing as the medic will likely have little screen time.

I would prefer to get more recruits! And until the RP starts, I'm going to be going off of a 'referral program' bonus. Get two other characters to sign up, get promoted to PFC during training!

Oh yes, forgot to mention. Due to RP progression, Percy is a Specialist now.

And I will RP as Siegfried, an REA reservist, for my second character.

  2. "Glad you could make it, I hope you didn't take an Airship."

Percival laughed at that hilariously facetious joke. Truly something only Dunder himself would say.

"Oi wotchit, or I'll be attendin' yor funeral too." Percy turned to reply, but he replied to nothing but thin air. Gone already... Dunder clearly had tons of other people to meet.

He peered his head over the vast sea of ponies. Albeit it was not a hard feat to accomplish, given that he is taller than your average stallion. Soon enough, he spots Princess Luna in the crowd. Percy simply couldn't give up a chance, to talk with such a pivotal character in Equestrian Governments. He had to speak with the pony he was serving for, you know? With another chorus of "excuse mes" and apologies, he had manage to make it to Luna's presence. Or tail, as she was conversing with another pony at the time. He would have to wait until he had a chance to speak with the Princess. In the meanwhile, Percy looked down at his chest to see five multicoloured tabs decorate his chest. Percy had chosen not to wear his service medals, as it would be an atrocity to look flashier than the Groom himself!

Percy stared absently into his hooves, until he was interrupted by a little child.

"What are those things on your suit, mister?"

Percy replied with an added tenderness to his voice. "Eh, well... they are ribbons dear."

    "Heh, you sound funny!"

She reminded him so much of his sister...

  3. Sure! Though to forewarn you the Medic on staff ideally won't see much action. That, and the DIs will be the ones handling the actual training.

The Medic will most likely be on standby at each of the training events and will respond if any recruits injure themselves (not expecting serious injuries). However they can still handle medical concerns outside of training, like checking up on recent injuries or monitoring anypony who has any condition (will be minor ones, if allowed).

    Daww...I like action.

So... Is it okay if I apply another character? Or... is that one to many?

  4. Your regular Mane RP character sheet. You can enlist a pony you already have accepted, or you can make a new one. Either way it doesn't matter to me, and you have time before this officially starts. I'm hoping to get it going some time this week so that I can give everyone adequate time to get their characters settled, and myself time to get the whole thing organized.

    Oh oh!!!

Can my OC be the Medic in this RP? That's sort of his specialization.

  5. Doesn't matter. Not in approved lore nor even played-in board canon, so it can't be used even if it makes sense when it involves ze REA. For future reference, please do not contradict an RPH. Thank you.

It was his call all along, I just wanted to let him know that it could have been a possibility.

Sorry for any confusion, folks. :sniff:

  6. Hey Conor, I'm going over your app, and need to suggest some changes.

Firstly, as far as Mane RP goes, the Royal Guard is just a part of the Royal Equestrian Army (REA). Any pony wanting to be a Royal Guard would first need to be enlisted in the REA first, then be stationed in the guard. Also, currently there isn't an "Academy" for the the REA, just an Enlistment process. If you want to re-write the character to be an REA trainee in Canterlot, we can work forward from there.

Actually, officers in practically any military force, (Lieutenants, Captains, Majors, ect) has to go through an academy to serve. Due to training of more tactical strengths. So an academy for a military force, might not be too far of a stretch.

  7. Be advised, RP question headed your area.

I must ask you this urgent question. What is the current stance on Special Forces in the REA lore as of now? I ask this because several OC's, including a Cast Character (Shining Armor) has been incorporated into them. And well, I just want to know if they are still up and running.

And also, please don't be so quick as to lock this thread after answering. I might need more time to understand your solution, with further discussion.

    Over and out.
