  1. "Whoa. Someone in Ponvyille requests me? But doesn't reveal himself?" Solven said to himself, reading the letter. Funny, because I only go to Ponyville for breaks, Canterlot's too much outta my league for holidays. This is like free jobs outside this boring place. I guess I should go, a change of scenery. He thought to himself

He didn't bother composing a reply, and instead pulled out a Ponyville express schedule, and glanced at his clock.

"Next train in... Twenty minutes... More than enough time." he muttered.

To him, he levitated a toolkit, two of his sketchbooks, and a peculiar looking weapon, resembling a Crossbow, but missing the Lath. A Crystal slowly glowing with energy adorned the stock of the weapon. Never hurts to have assurance. He checked that he had everything, before levitating his keys towards him, and writing a very quick notice to all customers that he was out on a requested job. He walked out, locked the door, and pocketed his keys, trotting his way towards the train station, hoping that he'd make it in time.

  2. I'd go to a future with starships and all that sci-fi stuff, smash the machine, and live my life there, because I despise modern life lol, entirely personal opinion.

If the machine isn't that powerful, I'd go back to the first failings I made in school, and undo every single one of them, and guide myself to my own definition of glory.

  3. If you still have space in here, I'd like to include Solven SprocketHooves into this, as I've been trying to get him developed extensively for quite awhile now.

Solven's a Mechanist, one specializing in Technomagickery (Machines and magic), cold and calculating but that wasn't always the case, and this rp presents the oppourtunity to bring him out of that shell, for atleast a good part of it, or maybe make a friend or two, because he only has him, his family, and a few friends, even in his line of business.

Well, theres more info about my char in the in my log, his appearence can be seen in my avatar, and its up to you if you want to accept him into the rp.

  4. Roleplay Type: Mane RP

    Name: Amber Cross

    Sex: Mare

    Age: Young Adult

    Species: Unicorn

    Eye Color: Bright Crimson

    Coat Color: Amber

Mane/Tail/Markings Color & Style: Long and graceful mane and tail, but ocasionally looks like bedmane due to neglect or her busy nature at times, both are coloured Bright-Red, although depending on how light is projected onto the hair, it can appear in slightly different shades or tones.

Physique: Average for a Young a mare unicorn a few years out of teenager years. Not too big or buff, not too thin or lean. A near-perfect balance of physique between the two different contrasts. Though her horn is slightly longer that a regular unicorn horn, due to exposure to certain alchemical substances (I'd like to keep it as "irregular" or "mutational" growth, but its normally not noticeable at a first glance.)

Cutie Mark: A conical flask with a "Label" of a red cross on it. Obtained when she decided to follow both her parents' professions at the same time, and combine them into one unified purpose. The Flask representing her skill and talent at alchemical manipulation, while the Red Cross symbolizes her healing abilities and near-vast knowledge of medical things. (More explaination in backstory.)

    Origin/Residence: Ponyville

    Occupation: Freelance doctor and alchemist

Motivation: To be the helpful soul that does everything she can to save lives, and find better ways to do her job. Pretty much a dedicated doctor who is determined to give it her all, even if there is no reward at the end. A hurt pony, no matter their allignment, is still a hurt one. A hurt creature is hurt, even if she can't completely cure them, she will do everything in her skills to ease their pain, at the very least. Also quite a inventive and experimental Alchemist, willing to take the extra risks that few dare, but she wouldn't do that if the risk was too high, unless insisted excessively by another pony.

Likes: Novels, alchemical experimentation, fruit-based drinks (Orange smoothie being one of her most favorite), helping those in need, making new friends on ocasion, discovering new ways to treat others, determination against "deemed impossible" odds.

Dislikes: The very lazy, shortchanging, backstabbing. Also has a deep hate for the careless, and most hated, the heartless. Doesn't like bland things either, prefers "flavour" in most of her things, but keeps that to herself.

    Character Summary:

Born into Equestria with a Father as that worked as an alchemist in Ponyville, while her Mother was a Nurse at the local hospital, Amber Cross had two loving parents who would always find time for her, despite the nature of the work. Both parents had a direct influence on what Amber wanted to be. Half of her wanted to be a Alchemist like her Father, another half wanted to be a fully-fledged doctor, and care for the sick or the hurt, just like her Mother does. Just like any parents with career conflicts on their kid's future, they both argued on the pros and cons while Amber grew. When she was finally able to understand what they were arguing about, she told them that she would do both.

It was only later in her life, that both her magic powers and Cutie Mark would appear. One day, as Amber was walking along home with her friend, they were busily chatting on about the day, the general gossip one might get from being a teenager. Her friend was paying less attention, and accidentally tripped into a stone, making her fall face-first into the hard walkway. Luckily for Amber, a passerby pony saw what happened, and Amber told her to get help, and she did just that, running as fast as possible to get help. Meanwhile, Amber was trying to care for her friend, when her magic suddenly activated, a amber-coloured aura of magic surrounding her horn. The aura then began to glow on her friend's injuries, and Amber watched in astonishment as her friend's injuries were regenerating and disappearing. When the passerby came back with help, everyone was gaping surprised. Even her friend, who seemed completely cured, was amazed. A medics did a quick check, and declared her healthy. As the situation diffused, Amber's friend noticed a Cutie Mark had appeared on Amber. A Red Cross to symbolize her healing abilities, and a outline of a conical flask. Both speculated that the flask could be a result of Amber's very good knowledge and skill in Chemistry and Alchemy studies in school. Both went to the nearest place to grab a drink and celebrate.

Further celebrations were in order when Amber's parents heard the news. Working harder as ever, she finally managed to get into a position where a career choice was possible. She could only choose one, and the positions given would "lock out" (so to speak), her other talent. But wanting the little extra freedom to do both of her talents, which she became attached to, she decided to take a risk, and work as a private practice. Having saved up enough money, and persuaded her parents, Amber moved out of the house, and into her own, where she set up a private practice. At first, not many ponies came, some even lauded at the idea of a young, freshly graduated pony working in such a job. This really put a damper in Amber's spirits, and she finds it hard to let things go, which in turn effects her, even today. During this time, she also found out that her Cutie Mark wasn't a status of knowledge, but also of innate skill, as she finds it quite easy and relaxing, not much tedious, to mix potions, and to experiment, following in the footsteps of other great alchemists.

Eeking out an life in Equestria has taught Amber the less friendlier side of things, which put a damper on her normally cheery personality when around friends and family. Now she tends to be abit shy and quieter when alone or around strangers, but not so much that she doesn't dare to stand up for her beliefs, and most importantly, her family, friends, and those who depend on her. Although when she gets serious, she never backs down. Be it a downhill situation, or a inevitable event, she will strive for a solution, even with that little risk, and at that point, it takes abit more than kind words and a reminder to get her to stop.

TO briefly explain her magical capabilities, the severity of the injury/sickness depends on the effectiveness of her power, including the amount of effort put into. Simply put, Amber is weakened whenever she utilizes her magic to heal. With the exception of when her Cutie Mark was obtained (as a first time user, one might expect her magic to run astray for awhile). She can easily heal cuts, bruises, and that sort of injury quickly, while may opt to use a regenerative spell on a broken leg, or a more gruesome injury. With diseases, its a twice as difficult when using magic (thus resorting to her medical and alchemical knowledge is better here) as opposed to healing physical injuries. Of course, under no circumstances is she capable of reviving the dead, or completely removing a life-long medical issues (allergies, eyesight issues, etc), nor is she able to effect psychological disorders. She's no better than a normal doctor, aside from being a alchemical and medical genius, and having her magic tied to her job.

(Note: Only in extreme cases where both I and all other roleplayers in a thread agree that it adds to the story [character's or roleplay], will I allow Amber to exceed her current capability [Eg. Instant regeneration of broken leg]. However, there will be drawbacks, and a heavy price to pay for both me [Weakened to a state where Amber will need help to move for sometime] and the one being healed [such as the said leg being less responsive or durable for the time being].)

Edit: Added paragraph explaining magical capabilities.

  5. Solven didn't know why, but he had to tell some of history, just idle conversaion this was, but Solven almost never had the chance to reveal elements of his life, for no one wanted to know, so here goes.

"Well, I was actualy born into a medium-class family in the Canterlot trade districts, my advancement in life was pure luck of a headmaster form a good school visiting the shops in my area. The ew school was absolutely horrid, snotty and snobby *******s. The only way I got respect was by making this baby in my final year examination" Solve. Quickly brought out Hyperion for Ice Storm to look, then put it back. "Yes, I got showered by requests by insitutest o join them, but I refused them all, and became a entrepenuer."

On the mentioning of Luna, Solven also felt the need to voice his opinions on Canterlot loyalty, because it was always a mixture and conandrum of political and monarchical mess that maintained the peaceful enviroment of Equestria. But he'd save that for when one of his other friends actually wanted to talk about this. "Princess Luna does seem to be the one to stick out, being isolated has certainly given her that modest behaviour I guess. Aside from Celestia, I guess they are the only ones with a mind on ruling the nation" Solven said.

  6. Solven had considered getting something cold for a change, considering the rarity of snow cold objects within the area in which he lives, works, and goes to holiday in. Well, at least for the majority of the year, and Solven always almost avoids Ponyville during Winter Wrap up, considering his talent was to fix and maintain things that are mechanical in nature, and the highly traditionalist nature of the event draws him away from the town itself.

"Hmn... perhaps I will go and try one of your ice cones later during the day or when you have restocked your flavoring syrup, it would be a nice change from the usual things that can normally be obtained here in Ponyville, well, for me atleast."

Then he realized that he never got the mares name, just incase they wanted to chat again for whatever reason, or Solven felt very bored without any of the usual "hooha" going around town.

"So... I'm Solven Sprockethooves, by the way, whats your name?"

  7. "Meh, I'm on holiday to escape the raging crowds of Canterlot high-society and unintelligent people who make my own job miserable, just by being a entrepreneur." Solven replied, Taking another sip of his Coffee, he could feel it's weight lighten as he drinks more of it. The coldness wasn't that bad, the Heartlands and Foothills around this time of year were much more chilly than other times, making it more reasonable to get outdoors more as the heat wouldn't cause Solven to go berserk because of heat.

He brought up his Autocross for a second, twiddling with it's bowstring, and checking the trigger, before putting it back into the holster that held it in place.

"Well, what do you sell, that so runs out of stock so fast?" Solven inquisitively asked. At this rate I might as well get to know her, and pretty much the rest of the town at this rate, because Ponyville is becoming the one-stop destination for me.

  8. Sitting down on the bench, Solven had made up his mind that talking to random people was the best thing he could do right now to alleviate his boredom, to a certain extent where he could finally talk to someone that wouldn't spit out random mechanical lingo at points. Another sip of his black coffee, and Solven was slowly coming to life, each of his senses regaining the alertness and activeness that Solven needed in his line of work, but really, he just did it for the taste and bitter flavor of coffee that most don't like. Taking in what the mare had just said before he sat, Solven replied with a calm tone, "A breeze of wind would be nice about now, waking up to such a thing everyday would make my morning."

A slight pause, as if Solven was to compose himself, then said "So how's your day been?"

  9. Boring. Boring and lonely. That's what Solven would describe the last few minutes.

Although the day was perfect for taking pot-shots at trees with his Autocross, he decided not too. Unsure of why, he had sat down on a bench, and sipped coffee just like any other pony who needed to awaken from a long period of sleep and tiredness. As the sun shined perfectly towards him, the glare forced him to turn away for a second, while the chirping birds served as music for the Mechanic. He had again noticed the blue mare sitting not very far from his bench. Although Solven barely sat outside, much less randomly socialized with ponies, he decided that some small talk with the locals wouldn't hurt or be any worse, and mustered up all of his "stallion-ly" courage, and decided to go talk to her.

"Hey, beautiful day isn't it?" Solven asked her.

  10. Solven was back in Ponyville for a short while, a break away from his work as a mechanic running a busy and well-known, self-run business. It was tiring work, and the attitudes of Canterlot ponies, along with any other high-class snot really tested his patience and ability to maintain his sanity, let alone decide to keep his business a float, because it was a lot of work for a single pony.

He had just emerged from a building with a cup of hot coffee to go, taking light sips as he walked down the marketplace.I must also make a note to head to a general store and get some stuff that costs cheaper here than in Canterlot. Solven reminded himself as he looked at the stalls. He had already rounded the marketplace, and decided that nothing interesting was happening, then moved to a free bench space, next to a ice blue mare, not noticing her.
