So... What are they?

If you looked through your memories once in a while, like I keep suggesting, you'll remember the old story mother told us, about Nightmare Moon, and Celestia.

Oh yeah, those giant rock-things... So those are real?

Apparently.

"I'm not the pony to answer that question, so I'll say no. There must have been a reason he didn't take over Canterlot..." Suddenly, one of Balance's two chess pieces, a bishop, moved closer to Strife's piece. Canterlot, eh? Let's keep questioning him, about Canterlot.

"Perhaps he was avoiding the princess's. Speaking of the princess's, would they happen to have defeated Discord the last time? If so... Where? The Royal Garden again?"

"You got us a DJ?! Grey, you're the BEST BOSS EVER!" Thyme was so excited, she joined the hug with Easy. "GROUP HUG EVERYPONY!"

The invisible chess board glowed for a split second, then suddenly, a chess piece (a black king), sprouted in the center of the board.

FINALLY! It's not TOO far, so it won't be too complicated to destroy it, as long as we're tricky. Now, we have to ask something seemingly unrelated...

"Okay, we'll be sure to check that out later. For now, quick question, where was Discord released?"

"Wow! I'm not use to having another pony cook for me! Sure was a nice change." Thyme said to herself, as she was returning to Grey Area Condominiums. It was her favorite job she ever had, and was more than happy during the first anniversary. However, the day only just started, and she wasn't prepared for what awaited her for when she walked into the lobby...

"A party?! We're having a party now?! YES!" She skipped around, looking at the decorations, then for a second, was disappointed. "Aw, I should have made something for this... Aw well! I've been making things for this place all year, it's time to party!"

This pony's a lot more honest then I believed. There has to be something important from this... AHA!

What?

He slipped up!

What? His spells are helpful in some way?

No, the gear! Why would Discord entrust some random gear to this pony?

Because he freed him!

Yes, but Discord isn't one to keep his word, if I may give guesses. I think this gear will be more than meets the eye... And if it is, it may help us find where Discord has been!

"So... Gear you say? What is it, and where would we find it? I mean, any help in finding and defeating Discord would be appreciated."

We're not learning anything new here! Find something good from this pony!

I-I'll try... But this is tough, I almost NEVER do things like this!

"So... He gave you some gifts. Would that happen to be some dark magic? If so, how powerful would you say it is?"

How is THAT a good question!

I have a small plan, depending on his answer...

Drat! No new pieces! He must not know where Discord is!

Wait a second! Remember, this is the God of Chaos we're dealing with. He must not BELIEVE he knows where Discord is, because he is too unpredictable!

Good point, then let's start with those questions.

"You're right, he may not be hiding. So, when was the last time you saw him? And did he tell you anything about where he would be going?"

"Got it!" Balance responded to Song. He watched the whole situation silently, scaring himself when he actually giggled at some of the chaos that was being created. He cleared his throat, and spoke. "Just to be sure you're not lying..." His horn started glowing a dark blue, and after a few seconds, Strife's head had the same aura. He was happy to have successfully casted the spell, though a bit tired from it. Nopony else could see it, at least to Balance's knowledge, but a chessboard came out of thin air, only having 2 pieces on Balances side.

That's what the spell was; it created a game of mind chess. When the pony would not say something, a piece would appear on their side. Balance would ask seemingly silly questions, to get closer and closer to his piece, and eventually attack, to find out what they're hiding. He was ready to start, with a big question first. "Where is Discord hiding?"

Balance was knocked out as he was thrown, having hit his head. He woke up quickly though, with just a headache. He saw the pony that he believed was involved with Discord, and tried his best to cast his spell, though had problems, not being very good with magic. He gave up after a minute, and thought it would be easier if he were awake. "Anything happen while I was out?"

Balance took the whole situation by surprise, not saying a word throughout the whole thing. He was entranced by Sweet Song's melody, and was also surprised when it got rid of the chocolate milk tornado. He saw the pony from earlier again in the distance, and after the robot shot him down, he decided it would be a good time to start talking. "Can somepony get me up there? Getting ponies to talk is one of my specialties..."

No it's not.

With that new spell I learned, it might as well be.

"Not really. I was hoping to find him and explode him twice, but I don't know how to do that really. I think this robot or that doctor-pony-guy can do something."

"Yay! Defeating Discord will be EASY with this robot-thing on our side!" A white unicorn snuck up behind the group, and asked about Discord. "Uh, yeah, we said Discord."

Can't wait for it! I'm putting my money on the monster being Manbearpig! And the main character is Al Gore!

Balance was startled by the unicorn floating nearby, but held back his surprise to grab the things. "Depends on when she was found. She appears to have been injured a while ago, judging by the dried blood, but most of it seems fresh, so if I work quickly she should be fine." Balance started applying the gel on the wounds on her knees, followed by her other open wounds, then putting bandages where they were needed. "I can't deal with the blood from her mouth, I'll leave that to the specialist. For now, I'll finish my first aid." He put the peryton on her back, and tilted her head up.

"This should keep her airway open..." He put his ear to the peryton's mouth. "Breathing is normal..." He then put his hoof to the peryton's hoof. "Pulse is weak, but should do for now. There's nothing more to do for now, so we'll wait for the specialist." Balance sat, keeping the peryton's head tilted. He turned to the pegasus, as he had a realization. "Can you head back to my office quickly? I doubt my secretary knew where I ran off to."

Anyone know if Hinata (Twilight) is still active? She hasn't posted for a while.

Balance tried his best to chase after Wind Rider, but it h ad been so long since his last run, that he got tired quickly. He slowed down, seeing Wind Rider gain more speed, while he was getting further behind. Wind Rider stopped, and Balance finally caught up with him, panting heavily. He was worried when he saw the pony was in a darker street, hoping the pony wasn't attacked, but he put that at the back of his mind and he swayed over to the pony. No, he realized it wasn't a pony "A Peryton? Why's there a Peryton in Hoofington? No, answer that later, I have to get busy." He said to himself, ignoring the other pony with them. He took out a small pair of glasses, which he (usually) used to examine evidence, though only to look smart while examining it.. He looked as best as he could, but he was having trouble with the darkness.

Let's see... Fresh blood along the peryton's legs especially the knee's, must be some scrape. Dried blood along it's whole body including mud, must have been some sort of struggle. Is that blood from it's mouth? I'll leave that do whoever Dr. Health Nut assigns to it. "Can somepony help me? I need some things out of here, having troubles seeing in this. Just need anti-biotic gel and bandages for now, I'll do more as I need it.

"Seems some pony was turned into a robot." Balance said, walking towards the pony. "Thank you for the warning, we will get you to normal whenever we can. For now, think you could stay with us? Your innate ability to know the area of this 'Discord' could be useful." Balance ignored the Doctor's speech about the TARDIS, still wanting to call it Timey, 'cause he thought it was cute.

Pawn watched Applezoom fall through the portals infinitival, at first with fear, but then started laughing softly. Suddenly, a loud voice boomed throughout the area. Pawn tried to listen, but he grabbed his ears from the sudden surprise. "What'd that say? Something about a Cave Prancer? We're making... Science? Is that what this whole thing is about? HEY! CAVE PRANCER! CAN YOU LET US OUT!?"

"Another crash... Let's check this out, we don't want anypony getting hurt." Balance trotted towards the general area where he heard the crash. There was a pony with odd wings, and looked quite odd in general. "You okay there? Anything we can help with?"

"It's uh....." Pawn examined the object from his spot, too lazy to move. "A doohickey? We probably shouldn't mess with it, we don't want it to explode and evaporate us."

I found this interesting book-thing. Thought I should share it with everypony. And do try reading the whole thing before just throwing it off as some stupid religious thing, even if you don't care much for religions, it talks about more than just 'believe this or go to hell'.

Anyways, after reading through some of it at least, then feel free to share your opinion on it.

Balance was in his office working on paperwork. He was having a long and un-eventful day. However, that changed quickly as he heard a pony yelling outside. He left his room, and went to his secretaries desk. He worked out what the pony was saying. "Medic! We need a doctor, is anypony a doctor?!" Balance turned around, and spoke calmly to his secretary, a red mare with glasses. "Find Dr. Health Nut, I'll be right back." Balance straightened his tie, and ran out of his office, grabbing a first aid kit from the desk. He had experience with first aid, his mother being a nurse, so he would help in any way he could.

He ran up to the pony, and started talking. "Where is the pony in trouble?" He levitated his first-aid kit up, so the pony saw it. "I'll help however I can. Also, any information on what happened will make everything easier." He awaited the answer, being unusually patient, unlike his normal self. He hoped it would stay that way, though.

XD I just noticed this. Anyways, long version of how I became a brony;

To be fair, I've actually seen random things for My Little Pony (FiM), but I never knew it. Like, they were handing out random stickers during class, and my friends got excited when they saw the Apple stickers, then started calling each other Applejack. My first DIRECT seeing of MLP was 'Guiles Theme goes with Everything Sonic Rainboom', which I must say wasn't the BEST first encounter. Then, I went to school, and my friend started talking about this 'great new show she was watching'. I asked her, and she said it was MLP. Trusting her that it was good, I watched the first episode, and LOVED IT! Not much more, really, I just kept watching and getting more interested as I watched more.

"Well, I suppose we should keep going then." Pawn points off towards a door in the distance. "As long as that door isn't booby-trapped as well."
