  1. Thyme heard Grey's order. She went back to the kitchen, and found it was already prepared from earlier that morning, so she warmed it up a bit, and went back out to the dining room. However, she couldn't find Grey where he was. Guess I was imagining things. She decided to take the meal, and eat with everypony else. She sat down near Cloud, and started eating.

  2. "I have no idea. I was going to say an outbreak of poison joke, but as far as my knowledge goes, poison joke doesn't effect inanimate objects. Besides, I don't think it would do something this serious to a pony." He ran to Partheus, and pointed at him during his last sentence. "Or that serious." He then pointed at the mutated ponies behind them. These guys must know something if they're making a camp.

They'll tell us later, I suppose.

  3. Pawns eyes widened with Applezoom, as he felt his vision become 20% better in fear. "Lasers.... There somewhere..." Suddenly, there was a sound coming from the walls, as red lights started shooting out of them towards the group. They dodged out of the way in time, and then a glass cube fell from the ceiling, almost hitting Pawn. "What do you suppose we do with this?" Pawn saw the door, once again, across a vat of poisonous water.

  4. Finished! I should serve them lunch now.

Thyme picked up her dishes, balancing them on her hoof, and walked out of the kitchen into the dining room. She walked carefully over to Swash and Snowy's table, and put the dishes in front of them. "Enjoy!" Thyme told them. She saw Cloud was sitting at a table, and ran back to the kitchen to grab more of her extras she made that morning, and brought them to his table. "You enjoy too!" Thyme skipped back to the kitchen, waiting to hear how the food was.

  5. "Yes, probably the best choice." Pawn and Applezoom were walking to the elevator, when suddenly, his thermos, and the rest of the things they brought with them, disintegrated. "Umm.... I think someone doesn't want us having their food." He walked into the elevator. "I suppose we shouldn't dwell on that. I doubt they'll come back." The elevator started going down, as it was heading to the next test chamber. "What should we expect next, do you think?"

  6. "Huh? Oh, yeah, just lost. Still need to get use to this place." She said with a laugh. "I think.... Okay, found the kitchen. Wait.... Yes, this is my kitchen." She was about to walk in, when she stopped herself to tell Cloud something. "Oh, and if you need some work, I think there's a flickering light in the hallway near room.... A113, I believe. See ya' later!" She entered her kitchen, and quickly ran to the cupboards. Swaff is having company. I only made this meal to be enough for one pirate, so unless he's generous, there won't be much for the receptionist lady. What was her name? Rainy? Cloudy- no, wait, that's maintenance guy. I'll work it out with her later, for now, I need to make extra for her while I can.

Thyme began working fast and hard, but unfortunately, the recipe took time to cook. Rainy will just have to wait a bit. She relaxed, and waited for them to enter.

  7. "Let's try throwing it through." Pawn grabbed the bag, and began aiming it through the portal, to go through the portal again. "It'll be a good test." He dropped the bag through. It flew out the wall, and went through the blue portal again, this time flying across the room and landing at the other side. "Seems safe." Pawn then jumped himself, and did the same maneuver as the bag. He used his magic to help soften the landing. "Seems safe!"

  8. Thyme, because of her unreliable memory, found herself wandering in circles through the building trying to find the kitchen again. She realized she was going the wrong way when she found herself back at the entrance. Snowy was putting away papers it seemed, and Swash was there with her. They're so cute together! Thyme tryed her best to sneak to the hallway, but she was sure they heard her trotting. She found her way back to the kitchen, and was making sure everything was perfect for her first official customer.

  9. Pawn was prepping himself for the jump. As he was about to jump, aiming for the blue portal a second time, Applezoom tapped his back. Applezoom pointed towards a hole in the wall, leading to a dark room with sleeping bags and canned food.

"This is strange. Let's check this out." Pawn followed Applezoom into the room, as they started looking around. He found a hot thermos, and opened it. The smell of coffee took over the room. "Let's not waste some perfectly good coffee." Pawn took a sip, and it tasted fine. Not the best coffee, but still coffee. "I'm gonna go back to the portal. Can you pack some stuff? We never know when food could be needed." Pawn walked off, and started preparing to jump again, taking drinks of the coffee every few minutes.

  10. Hello! Welcome to Canterlot! I'm the awesome guy who's awesome!

Good luck with the whole tornado warning thing! I'm not really sure how to respond to it, other than that. The worst I get is snowstorms, and those almost never happen.

  11. Applezoom's comment made Pawn grin, and giggle quietly. He walked forward, going towards the door, as he remembered that the test was 'extremely dangerous'. He walked cautiously, when he noticed a crack in the ground. As he examined it, it started widening, which made Pawn run back. It stopped eventually, but was much too wide to jump across. He examined the inside, and noticed a very murky looking liquid. He knew for sure it was dangerous when he saw a sign showing a pony jumping in, and a large X across it. A blue portal suddenly opened on the floor, and Pawn looked through it and saw him and Applezoom looking through the portal, and looked up and saw an orange portal at the top of the wall.

"May I go first? I wouldn't want you to get hurt." Pawn asked Applezoom.

  12. Just add a bit more salt and.... There. Swaff's dish is ready. I believe he's out there now, I think I'll introduce myself.

Thyme walked out of the kitchen, and entered the lobby. She saw two pony's, across desks from each other, signing papers. She walked towards them, and assumed that the stallion was Swash, mainly because his cutie mark made more sense for a pirate pony.

"Good afternoon, Swaff. I am Thyme Turmeric, the chef of... this place. I have prepared a meal for you, fit for the finest sailors. Please, when you feel hungry, stop by. My kitchen will always have a dish prepared for you." Thyme then stopped, waiting for a response, hoping to get to know the pony more.

  13. "Hi Sanctuary! Hi Twilight! Hi Partheus!" Balance said, ignoring the fact that Partheus wasn't a pony. It's likely this crazy magic just transformed him "Well, I'd love to help in any possible way to stop this. It's unjust what happened to those poor ponies. At least I'm completely fine! And this chocolate rain is just DELICIOUS! I should probably stop drinking it though, it probably isn't safe. I'm not sure why I'm still talking, it's probably not a good time to talk, but I don't care!" He then started his normal happy skipping, as his enthusiasm returned to his voice.

  14. "Pirates, eh? Hmmm....." Thyme brought out a large book, each page filled with messy writing. She started flipping through it quickly. "I think I have some pirate themed meals somewhere in here.... HERE!" She stopped her hoof suddenly, leaving a mark on the page. "Made this recipe while traveling through Hoofington. Couple of sailors showed me their recipe when I gave them their meal. I edited it to make it better. Takes a bit of preparation though...." Thyme pulled out a bowl, and several other materials from the cupboard. "Oh, right, the burners should have cooled down."

  15. "Yes... My age... Ummm..... Oh right." Thyme started laughing. "Yeah, it can get tough finding a good job at my age. I'm just lucky Mr. Grey, I think was his name, was really nice, and must have seen some potential or something." She ran over to the stove, and put her hoove over the burner for a second. "Still needs a minute. Hey, want to try something? Nopony seems to be coming, and I may have cooked too much."

  16. (K, sounds good)

"Right." Pawn responded to Applezoom. He followed him into the elevator, where it started moving down. Pawn panicked a bit, assuming that down was bad, but he knew that staying calm was best. The elevator opened up into an area similar to the other room, but with a much different design. "The portal things are in here too." He told Applezoom.

  17. Thyme had been cooking a storm after seeing her notice, earlier that morning. She wasn't certain the amount of show food she would need, so she cooked a bit of everything. It was getting into the afternoon, and the renters hadn't arrived yet. She understood though, as she was often late for things. A blue pegasus entered the kitchen, and Thyme quickly checked her mane, to make sure it was good, since she wished to make a good first impression. Spiky, red and orange, just like this morning, and every other morning. She turned around when the pegasus asked her if there was anything that needed to be fixed. This must be the maintenance pony. What's his name? Clod? Clud? Cloid? I'll just go with my gut.

"Hi.... Clood. One of the back burners on this stove is really weak. Nothing else really. Umm, you may want to wait though, I think the other burners on it are still hot."

  18. (I call chef!)

Thyme arrived at the complex during the afternoon. She hoped that she remembered everything correctly, she wasn't one to trust her memory. She rarely even remembered that she wasn't even a mare yet, but as she always says, "I'm close enough". She was holding her bags, wishing again that she was a unicorn, so she would have the luck of levitating her stuff, but she knew that she can't change the fact that she's an earth pony. This was her first big job, since she usually worked at smaller places, so she reasurred herself she'd do fine by looking at her cutie mark; a leafy plant over a bowl of curry, which was the first meal she made.

She arrived at her room, which she eventually remembered was A109. She found her bed, and unpacked her things. She decided to go to bed, so she would wake up early to look great on her first day of the job. She went to her bed, but had trouble sleeping through the night.

  19. "Umm.... Alright" Pawn responded to Applezoom. He ran over to the cube, and pushed the button. He then used his telekinesis, and picked up the cube, and brought it to Applezoom. Did that voice say something about a test? Are we in some sort of laboratory? And that portal thing.... Let's just keep going through these, I'll probably find out more as we go on.

  20. “I'd love to read your manuscript! And I suppose I'll stay here and read, I have nothing better to do.” Balance responded. He looked to the book for the price, which he found on the inside of the front cover. He brought out a random number of bits from his front pocket, and started counting. “2, 4, 6.... Oh, just take 'em and keep the change.” He then pushed the pile of bits towards Quillsilver. Let's not miss this business opportunity. “Oh, and if you ever need any help with anything.....” He then levitated a business card out of his pocket, and put it with the bits. “You can stop by my office.” The card read:

    Ace Attorney: Balance Scales

    Hoofington's #2 Prosecutor

A fair price for a fair trial

    427 Flatfish Lane

“Thank you.” Balance said, picking up his book, and the stack of papers. “I don't need a bag. Yet.” Balance walked away from the desk, and sat down on a pillow, and started reading through Quillsilver's manuscript.

  21. Why would you hit on her?

I didn't mean to hit on her, I was just trying to support her.

Well, she doesn't exactly look comfortable now. Great job. And nice guess on her job.

Well, it was still a good guess. I mean, was I suppose to assume she was a dilligent note taker? Besides, she said she isn't a PUBLISHED author, that tells us that she's writing.

Just get a book and leave.

After settling his dispute with himself, Balance followed Quillsilver to the Action/Adventure section. He was excited to see so many good looking books in one area. He ran around, naming out all of the books that looked interesting. “The Starving Games, King of the Rings, The Peryton, Daring Doo and the Quest for the Sapphire Stone, Lightning Pegasus.... So many choices!” He then gave a large grin. He was quickly going through which book would be best, both depending on prices and description of the book. He eventually decided on one. “Well, I think I have to try out the Potter and the Philosopony's Stone. If this story is as good as it says, I'll be coming back soon for the rest in the series.” He then skipped along happily to the cash register, waiting for Quillsilver to return.

  22. Huh. What are we looking for?

I don't know, I kinda' just wanted to look around.

We can't just not answer now though.

Well, we've read nothing but law books recently. Maybe we should get something....

"I was hoping to get some action-adventure type of books. I was hoping to escape from Hoofington tonight, and do something exciting." Balance responded to Quillsilver. Balance got a good view of her cutie mark, and assumed she was a writer.

"Or perhaps I could check out some of your books." He then gave a charming smile.
