Val followed her gaze, as he wondered how he was gonna handle this. Okay, he could deal with this. All he had to do was play along, and hopefully nothing bad would happen to either of them. It was a really thin hope to go on, since mostly whenever he tried to avoid bad situations they found him. It wasnt like he went out of his way to find them!! Notcing the bird, and the change in Midnights demneaor, he asked smiling "Is that a friend of yours"?

(Well, if this is gonna end; may as well end on a humorus note) Geary grinned as he started to follow when he suddenly felt like he was out of place. Frowning, he looked around as he wondered what he could to do become more apart of the group. Getting an idea, he slapped himself in the head as if shocked by his own stupidity as he went over to a large treebark. Grabbing it, he imideatly vanished in a puff of smoke as he worked at increadible speed. When it cleared, there he was brandishing a wooden sword. "Awesome, I feel more like a pirate now" grinned Geary.

"Maybe.." Val nodded in agreement, although a small part of him felt apprehensive. Worried about this pony. Trying to shake off his apprehsneive, he shrugged "Maybe". Turning back towards Dazzle, he smied weakly "Well, let's see if we can..ahh over there". Pointing a hoof over towards a nearby tavern, Val was about to step inside when a loud crash eminated from within, followed by some drunken hooting and laughter. "Huh, sounds like a rowdy place" commneted the adventurer. "GET OUTTA HERE YA BUM" a voice screamed, as a unicorn stallion went flying out; half dazed as his tounge drapped outta his mouth; eyes swirling in an almost cartoonish manner. "Huh, make that really rowdy" noted Val, as he looked up at the door. Eyeing dazzle, he smiled weakly "Well, lets see where this goes" as he entered. The room was dark, and had a cool breeze too it; with the only light coming from the open windows. Loud chattering, and drinking ponies were all around, as some of them were passed out on the floor.

What she said suddenly registered into Vals head, as he looked up in shock at waht she just said. If only one pony had to survive..then didnt that mean that..he and Midnight would have to fight in order to be the last survivor?? Bu..but he didnt want to fight his friend!! Oh..oh wait, unless thats why they ere in the pony games. Rebel against the thing to defy the whole system. "Sooo, are we defying the system by being in this game" Val quesitoned, hopeing he didnt have to fight his friend.

"OOoo, kinda harsh but okaies" commented Val, surprised that the gamemakers were getting really impateint...wait a sec, game makers?? He didnt know there were game makers in this world!! Following Midnight, he asked "Err, wait can you tell me something? I didnt know that we had game makers in this world. Are we fighting each other for suvival for the entertainmnet of them"? As much as Val loved survival situations, being forced to do so for the amusement of others really rubbed him the wrong way.

Val smiled lightty at her blush, liking to see her smile as he commeneted to himself "Im sure you could do it". Following her gaze, Val raised a brow as he trotted after her. Looking up, he noticed the ponies faces in the sky. "What..whats this about" Val questioned curiously. Suddenly as they spoke, the ground started to shake and rumble as the sky turned from night, to day instantly!! The moon vanishing, and being replaced with the moon. Blinking, Val asked "Am i the only one who just saw that"??

Geary grined at the idea of going on an adventure, as he pumped his hoof into the air; following the others eagerly. Whistling to himsef, he put a hoof to his chin as he thought over the notions on what they would find!! Treasure? Monsters? It all sounded so awesome!! Nodding his head up and down as he whistled, he grinned "Sooooo, anypony know what this cave is like? Pip you said you were there many times"? (Aww thats really depressing. I was having fun too )

Nodding, Val agreed "Yup, this city gets more beautiful every time I pass..oof". His thoughts were interupted as somepony charged right past Val, bumping harhsly into him. Turning to face the pony, he caught a glimpse a black fedore wearing earthpony who locked eyes with Val, before vanishing just as fast as he appeared into the crowd. "What was that about" Val mused.

"Well there you go" Val smiled encouagingly. "Being able to experince the adventures that you read about first hoof is an increadible, and from what Ive seen so far; enjoyable experience. Im not saying your gonna change completly, but I bet you'll be a much cooler pony afterwards. I mean, your already cool, but well ahh..you know what I mean" Val smiled sheepishly at the unicorn, liking that he was spending time with Midnight and at the same time being on an adventure. It was like two of the greatest things combined into one!!

"We head to the tavern of stalliongrad" Val suggested as he smiled at her questioning. "I suppose its good to question dreams at times, since they can have meaning. Heh heh, Its been a long time since I had a silly dream; so its good to act silly" Val admitted to Dazzle, as he crossed his eyes and stuck his tounge out playfully. Chuckling at his own antics, he smiled "Heh heh, anyway like I was saying; we need to find out more about these ponies in black". As they stepped off the train, Val looked around in admiration at the buildings. "Looks like a nice place" Val nodded.

Val didnt seem like he wanted to give up though, as he insisted "Have you ever tried this spell to transport into your stories before"? He asked honestly. (Sorry for short post, next one will be longer)

"Nah, I dont mind if you call me that" chuckled Val in amusment at his new friend. Blushing at the praised, he rubbed the back of his neck as he chuckled "Yup, Im an adventurer, though it took abit of time for that last adventure to come around since its hard to search for them. THough, that only encourages me to search much harder". Blinking, he raised a brow at the strange request. "A means to fly..to the moon" Val asked, having never heard of such a thing before.Putting a hoof to his chin, he scrunched his face up in heavy concentration as he tried to think of a response. Such a thing could be possible, but he hadnt really heard of how. Perhaps we're he to do some research, or ask around then.. "I havent heard, but it does sound doable" Val nodded to the pegasus.

"Heh, well thanks. It felt really good to go out of my way to race. I havent done so in quiet some time now" Val admitted to the racing pegasus with a weak chuckle. Hearing him question, Val smiled "Well, I was just dropping off an object I retrieved from one of my adventures in order to help gain some bits. The adventure for the fire gem was a really hard one since it mostly invovled going through an active volcano, but I had to worry more about the fire breatheing dragon though that chased me". Shrugging, he commented "OOh, Im Valoren Seeker, adventurer" introduced the adventurer, offering a hoof.

Val smirked as just as he stared to past, the pegasus disappered; flying so fast that Val could swear that an afterimage of Crescent flew behind him. Putting everything he had into his wings, Val narrowed his eyes on the finish line as he started to catch up again; he had lost the race. Skidding to a stop, he made an increably long skid mark to stop himself from colliding into Crescent. Blinking several times as he looked down, he glanced back up as he smiled wearily "Looks like you won".

Val gasped as he had only blinked and then suddenly, BOOM!! The pegasus was gone!! Celestia, he was eager!! Well, Val wasnt gonna disappoint him. Kneeling back, he shot forward like a bullet, manuevering past the obstacles that Crescent had passed; grinning at the extreme feeling he was getting of danger!! Ducking, swooping, and sliding under obstacles that could hurt him seemed to cause him to fly alot faster as the pumping adrenaline made its way to his wings; causing them to flap faster and faster, as he suddenly found himself inches from being neck and neck with Crescent.

"Great!! I love it when I make new friends" beamed Geary. Hearing Pips idea, he nodded "That does sound easier, but I still need to figure out a way to absorb unicorn magic, so that I can transfer it into a sword. The problem though is that unicorn magic is really unpredictable, so the machine I put it in could blow up". Frowning at that notion, a mischvious smirk made its way onto his face as he asked "But really where would be the fun in getting it right on my first try? That would make my dream to be a master craftspony/inventor who can make anything really boring. And I hate boring" remarked the earth pony.

"Ahh, but see your getting that knowledge now" Val pointed out exctiedly as he got up and started to explain. "Its true, that us as ponies we learn something new everyday through reading, and its what allows us to go into another world where anything is possible, and we can be happy. But experincing first hand is so much more invigorating. Thats how I was able to become an adventurer myself. I read all about Daring Doo's experince as a foal, and I decided that I wanted to have those experinces too"!! Stopping, he smiled "So when this is all over, your gonna be a better pony".

"Are you sure about all that? My dream coulda just been nonsense" Val chuckled in response as he rubbed his head. Val usually didnt dwell on dream stuff, since he found it easier for him to focus on the here nad now and not what was, or is in the past. It was how he copped, or delt with things really. Hearing a loud whilste from outside, he nodded "I think we've arrived". Getting up, he dusted himself off as he headed out of the cart. Wondering to himself what exactly they were gonna find, Val thought to himself "We're gonna need some sorta sign where we're going next. Perhaps we could hit up the local tavern, the bar keep might have heard if her friend has passed through".

"Well, I do know when its going to rain based on the change in the air, I know how to collect various types of magic stones; mostly cause that was one of my past adventures" admited Val. Reaising a brow, he commented "Oh yeah, I also know abit about tracking though I havent done that in awhile".

Smiling, Val reached down at he showed the contents of the bottle. "Its a remdey that I learned in my travels. The sap here mixed with the contients of these berries can be used to heal any injury that we may get. I figured I'd make some in case either of us got hurt".

Val had to admit himself that he was surprised with Midnight. In a way, she seemed really complex. Full of potential, and loved to read; in a world where she was aware of its inhabitants; she seemed much more in control. Yet outside the world, she seemed very reserved and kept to herself. She had qualties that made her a very likable pony, and it helped even more how cute she seemed. Wait, cute?? Where did that come from" Val thought to himself as he was snapped out of his thoughts. Realizing she had asked him something, he laughed weakly "Heh heh, everythings okay".

Val sat down next to her, as he commented "Ahhh, sooo I guess your gonna read for now. THats coolio". Blinking, he thought to himself "Wait, where in a book..and shes reading a book...like a dream within a dream? Something about that dosent sound quiet right actually"?

"Hmmmmm, want me to go get some" Val asked eagerly as he got to his hooves. Dusting himself off, he smiled "I'll go and get us something!! Im sure I saw something outside". Without another word, he charged outside to get some food for his friend and himself. Looking around at the various bushes, and the various berries; Val blinked as he looked at some of the tree trunks. Examining it, he smiled as he recognized a few of them. Reaching into his satchel,he removed a knife as he gentle cut some of the bark; letting the sap fall into an empty bottle. Taking some herbs, he mixed it with the sap and nodded in agreement at the medicine he made incase of emerganices. Picking the various berries, he thought to himself "Hmmm, I'll bring them to see what kind she likes". Trotting back into the cave, he grinned "Back"!!

"Cloudsdales top semi pro filer" Val repeated, surprsised by this ponys title and boasting, For one to gain such a title, they certaintly had to have flight skills that went far above the call of duty. Whilst Val himself was no slouch in the speed deparment, since one had to be fast in order to escape the constant dangers that he was in; but he was wondering to hismelf if he could messure up to this ponies boasting. Feeling brave, he grinned "Well then, Im not really one to turn down a challnege myself" smirked Val cheerfully.
