"Now, the first thing you need to remember is" Val told seriously, but was cut off as he turned to the left in time to spot the cultist scrambling up onto the rough, eager to get their hooves on the interlopers. Turing to Dazzle, he whispered "Try and make fools of em whilst doing so. Like this"!! Turning to face the oncoming cultist, he picked up a large sharp rock from the roof as he tossed it as hard as he could , as he watched it fall through the tarp that he used; slicing through it. Val covered his mouth to keep himself from bursting out in laughter as the ponies who tried to jump on the tarp fell through and into barrels of water. "Well, that was funny" grinned Val as he turned and started to run. If thier was one thing that made a good chase scene good, it was showing that you werent afaird of the ponies in pursuit. Leaping into the air towards the next room, Val came across a long wooden bridge the hung over a large fruit stand. Galloping towards the other side, he whirled around as he brought his hoof into the air before kicking through it; watching with glee as it snapped in two whilst a cultie reached out and fell face first into fruit pies!!

NOdding immideatly, Val grinned in response "Yup, that plan of yours sounds great. TO be honest, I was thinking something along the lines of it being too dangerous for us to go and travel at night since I dont exactly know awhole lot about this world sooo..yeah, tommorow would be better". (Sorry for shot post, abit brain dead)

Overwhelmed with happines, Val through his arms around Midnight as he pulled her close into a hug, nuzzling her gently against him as he grinned happily!! "WOO HOO!! Thank you so much" Val laughed in happiness, as he conitued to hug himself against Midnight, overjoyed that he would have a partner to adventure with!! One of the things that he didnt like about his job, was doing it alone. Now that he wasnt gonna be alone, it was gonna be the greatest thing in the wo.. Realizing what he was doing, Val let out a weak laugh as he let go.

Nodding excitedly, he grinned "But it wouldnt be all about what I would want. Since a romantic relationship is also a partnership, we would always do what you want. So what's good for you, would also be good for me. Its true, it would be rough since we both like different things but we would make it work. Plus, you'd be living out the adventures of the characters you read about, and therefore would become even more awesome then you already are". Smiling lightly, he nodded "Heh heh, that is to say that your already pretty awesome since you know everything about this book, whilst im completly clueless and there..ahh...Ill stop rambling now. But yeah, thats what I mean; come with me";

"Welll sure why not" smiled Val hopefully as he stopped trotting to stare at her. "Your very brave in the face of danger, and your a very good conversationalist. Thats cause you got to know me true, but that shows that you are able of branching and being more than you are..like..like you showed me that I can be more than I can". As she gave him a look of confusion, he glanced down blushing as he remarked "Ahh yes, you see..in the past whenver I mad friends in passing, I would see them once in awhile but wouldnt see them very often. Because of this, friendships with them were strained and therefore made diffuclt to maintain. But..but with you its different, I dont want to leave you and..and you can hold your own. You'd be experincing the adventures that you read about whenver you wanted".

Geary was wallowing in his own sadness, wanting to sink into the ground and never emerge. You'd think that with his luck, he'd finally be able to get a new working invention!! But nope, nope!! He contiued to make mistakes, was consatnly making a foal outta himself and he couldnt help but wondered if he would ever get anything right again. Looking down, his world suddenly shook rapidly as he rolled onto his back in pain and shock. "Ouch" he moaned, as he held his forehead in pain; seething at the pain that it was bringing him. "Oh yeah, he didnt know how but somewhere out thier he was hated. He didnt know why, or how; but he just was"!! Now he was covered in sticky ice cream, and dirt!!

Blinking as Val looked up, he smiled weakly as he opened his mouth to say something. He thought for a moment about lying and not telling what he was concerned about; but lying would only dampen and bring their "relationship of five minutes" to a ruin. Sighing, he spoke "Im worried about what will happen to us when we get back to the real world. I want to stay with you, and yet Im concerned if our jobs/life goals will allow us to stay together? Your the first real pony I've fallen for and..and I dont wnat to have to leave you when we get back". Glancing at his hooves; he gulped "As an adventurer, I always travel and such and unless you were to come with me, I dont know how we would work this out. I want to work it out and make it work, please dont doubt that".

"Hmmm, in my experince usually dancing around the truth rather then just out and telling it makes things worse instead of better" Valoren spoke softly, more to himself as he wondered how he could help these two out. Smiling as he got an idea, Val first turned to Pip as he spoke "Pip, why not try this? See what Sweetie Belle really likes to do, and do it whilst shes in the area? That way, it'll seem more natural to open up conversation about weather or not she's seeing anypony, rather than asking about it in a manner that implies that one has feelings". Turning to Light, he than spoke "Perfect, what needs to be done first is to expose yourself to what you feel? Its natural to want to not do this, I didnt want to be forced to face the thing I fear". Putting a hoof to his chin, he than smiled "But since what you fear is also what you seek, than will need to build our way up to that. Perhaps start off by communicating with other's that you like, but not in the same manner as how you feel for Applebloom. That way, it'll ease off any nervousness/anxiety that you feel around Applebloom".

Trotting alongside her, overwhelmed with relief that he had gotten what he wanted to say off of his chest; he smirked at her "I insist. It wouldn't seem like a date if I didnt do something to show how much I cared about you, wouldnt it" he asked with a playful smirk. IT was wonderful that they were now marefriend and stallionfriend; but a part of him wondered how this would affect what he did for a living; adventuring. They were doing that right now yes, but what about when they returned to the real world? Would Val still be able to adventure? Would Midnight be able to come with him? She had a life thier, and it would be selfish to ask her to give it up!! It would be selish for both of them to request such a thing. This small part nagged at him, making him worry and yet he shook his head stubbornly. "Whatever happens, we'll get through it together" he inisted to himself.

Ahhh, I see what's going on" nodded Val as he sat up, understanding completley. "So tell me this light, the effects of the potion did help you when you wanted to talk with Applebloom to begin with. But after the effects wore off, did you become shy again"? As he listneed to a response, he smiled "Because if so, then I could help you out as well to help speak your mind more often without worrying about the consequences". Sitting up as he streched his wings, he decided to relay an example of what he ment. "Before I became the adventure I was today, I was increadibly shy since I felt like I had to live up to my fathers expectations. At the time, he was the current Captain of the Royal Guard before he retired; shining Armor taking his place. I was a shivering mess all the time whenever he took me to Canterlot and showed me what it was he did. I felt like no matter what I did, I would never be able to live up to what he was". Glancing up, he smiled "However, with time, determination, and alitttle bit of getting in over my head; I was able to step up and become a better pony. Talking with my father how I felt, he explained that he didnt want to feel like I had to follow in his hoof steps; he wanted me to be my own pony and find my own path in life that made me happy". Blinking as he relaized he had been rambling abit, he blushed "But yeah uhh, Id be glad to help you if you want".

Smiling lightly in response, Val let out a chuckle as he smirked "Ive met her myself a couple of times. Seems like the quiet time at times, but honestly she surprised me whenever something big and important was going down like, I dunno; the parasprite incident". That had been a gignatic mess that was rolling through town!! Heck, he himself had almost been eaten outta house and home by those little devils!! Shivering as he remembered them, he said "I remember her saying that we had to build an exact replica of Ponyville in five seconds". Giggling at the thought, he then listened in on the conversation between Pip and Light as they spoke about Applebloom. Becoming silent for a moment, apart of him knew exactly how Pip felt. Wanting to get the attention, or falling for one that you knew for so long, and just wanted to let them know how you felt. Thats how he had felt around..Rainbow Dash actually. He even once told her how he felt, but than he figured it was best that they stay friends since they were too much alike!! Last thing he needed was to date somepony just as competive as himself.

(Geary is actually a green maned, black pelt colt) Geary blinked as he slowly looked around, eyeing and viewing each and every member of this new team. He had to admit that he was surprised by some of them actually. The pony Silver seemed unusally calm to Geary, having only spoken once about how great the map was. From what he could gather, the pony seemed to keep her thoughts mainly to herself, and only really spoke whenever she felt it was nessacary or wanting to add some quip. This made Geary abit nervous as he didnt feel like he should up alot himself. True had just gone and introduce himself. BUt it was mainly to try and impress ponies, and give an impression that he wasnt quiet what they thought he was. Shaking his head, he moved onto the next pony as he glanced idealy at CloudChaser. He was blown away for a moment at the amount of energy that was radiating off of her, that it caused him to a take a step back in an intimidation. She definatly had the confidence, and means to say whatever it was she was flying at the moment, and just say it! That, and she actually looked quiet beautiful with her rockish, wild mane and...lovely voice. Feeling his cheeks go red at the very thought, he forciblly looked away as from him before looking at the final pony apart from their team leader, Insight. Letting out a sight, Geary thought to himself "Well, at lest Im not gonna feel like Im alone or anything due to the fact that he looks as nervous as I do". Insight looked like he wanted to run away just from standing their, and Geary himself couldnt help but feel similar. After all, in a group of ponies; no idea who who was and wanting to make a great impressions so that others could like him. Yeah, he knew exactly how that felt, and felt an immiedate kinship towards Insight as he smiled encourangliny towards him. Finally, his eyes stopped on thier team leader Pierce. He could feel an air of power coming from him, as he noted the seriousness in his eyes when he readjusted his goggles. Well, it certaintly felt like Geary could trust their leader since he himself didnt really know awhole lot about where they were going, only that they'd be gone for quiet some time. Hopefully once they got back, he would be a much braver pony like these guys!! Smiling weakly to everypony, he than glanced down at his hooves shyly.

Blushing immensly at the hug, he closed his eyes as he gently nuzzled her cheek; his wings wrapping around Midnight as they gently hugged her close to his body. "MMmm, it feels great to hear you say those words to me" he nodded happily as he conitued to nuzzle her cheek softly. Realizing that they were still in the open, he gently pulled away as he spoke "As much as I would love to conitue this emotional moment, we're in the open where we can be attacked at any time by the badies. Last thing I want is to end up loseing the marefirend I had just gained so tell yah what; soon as we get out of this book, and beat the game masters, Ill take you out on a proper date!! Candles, moonlight; anything that you want" he assured her.

Chuckling in response to this, Val shook his head. Yup, Pip was definatly a younger version of himself. Wild, active imagination that ran wild and usually got him into hijinks!! Problem was that Val sometimes when he was a foal went a tiiiiiny bit too far. To the point where he had a hard time staying in the real world because he was having so much fun in his own little imagination world. Nodding, he responded "I assure yah that Twilight is pretty oridnary. To be honest that would actually be kinda amusing, I could see her now: Twilight Sparkle, dressed in a dark purple cloak; her eyes glowing as she chanted some magical words to stop evil in its tracks. Words like, I dunno; Azarath Metrion Zin..meh, but thats just me" shrugged Val as he listened to the conversation between the two ponies, looking away as he could see that the two of them were best friends. Must be nice to have a best friend. He had friends yeah, but only friends in passing.

"You have quiet the imagination" Val chuckled lightly in response to Pip's response. Shaking his head, he responded as his inner child spoke for a moment, responding with. "However, that would be a terrible crime. Taking away all of Equestria's source of candy, and therefore forcing us to only eat bland grass". Blinking, he responded "Although I wouldnt exactly call Twilight crazy. Eccentric perhaps yes, but not crazy". Looking over the book, he smiled "Heh heh, thank you Pip. This was very nice of you". Blinking as he looked over at Light, he smiled "Good for you Light".

"Ahh, Im afaird I dont follow you thier since I dont know much about Sky Pirate Harle" Val blushed, feeling like he had just become the butt of a joke he didnt really get. Blinking at the notion of other ponies thinking him mad for wanting to swim, he shrugged "I swim all the time whenever I want, some ponies think me odd for this but it really dosent matter to me since I enjoy the feeling of cold water after a day of training". Blinking as he realized that Light wanted to tell something, he offered to cover his ears if this was private.

"Carry the square root of the odere which would suggest that the prime number of...DARN IT" shouted Geary in annoyance as he tossed aside some stray paper's, slapping himself up the side of the head in annoynace. If thier was one thing that he wished he could do in this world; it was get through creating a new invention without screwing something up. Geary was currently in the process of creating a self making ice cream machine!! It worked like this!! A pony would walk up to the tiny slot, and request a flavor, cone, and serving style. The cone would then come out after five second's instantly!! No waiting in line, no having to rush for ice cream on a hot summer day!! In fact, for the next two months after it was finished; he was planning on giving free samples of the ice cream before he started charging as an experimental run, so that way he could work out any bugs that were in the machine!! Smiling lightly, Geary flipped the switch up, turning the machine on as he grinned in delight at the possibilites of what could be done with this machine!! Why, Sugarcube corner would be overjoyed since the place became an extremtly popular spot; espeically during the summer time!! They would probably pay him a great deal for one of these babies!! As he heard the tiny hum to show that it was working, he put a hoof to the side of his head as he wondered what he should order. Nodding, he responded "I would like a chocolate fudged, soft severed, sugar cone". That sounded extremtly high in sugar, and one of the side effects of the ice cream that he was still trying to work out was that it made one extremtly energetic, and gave them a major sugar rush. Listening to the machine work, he grinned as his ice cream popped out...and another..and another...AND ANOTHER!! "NO WAIT, STOP" he shouted in alarm to the machine as it started shooting cold ice cream at him; casuing him to slip on the floor!! Staggering towards the back, he unhook the machine as it shut down with a depressing whirrrrrr. Lowering his head in depression, he kicked the machine in frustration. "Another failure..." he grumbled mournfully as he whiped the ice cream off himself and slowly made his way out the door; wanting to disapper away from his failures.

Smiling happily at this, Val couldnt help himself as he wrapped his hooves and wings around Midnight in a loving hug, grinning as he blurted out "Aww that makes me really happy!! I havent had a special pony in my life, and it feels really great to have that special somepony because it makes me feel so...oh I mean" Val blushed immideatly as he let go and let out a weak laugh from his actions, as he coughed softly in return. Getting down on one knee, he smiled as he tried to make himself appear romantic as a means to impress Midnight. "Ah Midnight, you are a..a very attractive, spirited unicorn!! From the time we have spent together, I have really enjoyed your great personaltiy, and your valuable knowledge. I come before you humble, and would ask you of this; will you do the honor of being my marefriend"?

Valoren smiled in amusment at the foal's apologies, fighting the urge to roll his eyes in response. Looking at him, he nodded "Its quiet alright, it'll be a good lesson for me actually: always be aware of your surroundings less the unexpected will occur". Putting a hoof to his head as he thought about what he had just said, he commented "Then again, I suppose that lesson could be said for anything and even so; preparing one's self wont nessecarily mean that you cant be prepared for the unexpected; because that would...bah, Im rambling" he chuckled in amsument towards the foal. Valoren nodded as he responded "Valoren Seeker, adventurer/traverler of Equestria. I was actually in the area and wanted to get some relaxation after another great adventure, since I havent sat down from my constant movement in quiet some time". Blinking as he heard another pony call out Pip's name, he turned and smiled to the new pony. "Hello their" he nodded towards the pony.

Geary Twist galloped as fast as his legs could take him, eager to get to these caves. If their was one thing that he was looking forward to, it was adventuring this time around since it would help make more of a stallion outta him. Looking over the equipment he had brought for this trip, he hopped that it didnt look like he was overdoing it or nothing. The last thing that he needed was to show that he was over doing it or something. Shaking his head in dismay, he thought "Okay let's see, flash light, rope and hook, food, water, some of my inventions incase of danger; shock bang's...hmm, probably wont need any others" he thought as he turned back towards where the ponies were most lilkely waiting. He had no idea what was really waiting for him in these caves, but he hopped that whatever it was that it would go a long way towards helping him become more braver, which was somewhat humours enough. He was actually really well built from all of the crafting, and constant moving around of equipment for his inventions; yet he could be rather timid. He just hopped that would change with this trip. Spotting some of the other ponies, Geary grinned as he galloped up to them, eager to introduce himself and make some friends!! "Greetings" he smiled as he offered a hoof to the ponies. "Geary Twist, inventor/craftspony" he nodded in greetings.

Geary Twist looked left and right nervously as he looked up at the gigantic town hall as he wondered what in the world he was thinking of doing this!! He was an inventor/craftspony and yet he was here to be an assistant to the mayor, which in all honesty he didnt even know that well. In fact, he didnt even know alot about her at all since whenever their was a town meeting of some kind that he was usually find himself locked away in his own little world, unaware of the events that were going on around him. That was one of the reasons actually of why he was applying for the role because...well..he needed to make more friends/get out more. Being so wrapped up all day in his inventions was bad for him because it kept him away from reality, and therefore was extremtly unhealthy. "Than why not take the pills you invented so you wont feel this way" a part of his mind teased. "Because these artficial feelings of relaxation would not be real, and I refuse to keep doing that to myself"!! Determined to show that he was worthy of the job, he put down that he was free alot, studious because of his ability to create these inventions, and that he could be sociable. That part he was lying to himself, but being honest with others because this was an oppertunity for himself to expand on his social skills. Who knew, he could probably become ponyvilles most socialble pony after this job was done with him!! Now he was definatly lying to himself, but he ignored it. Trotting inside city hall, he gently placed down the application that he had worked so hard on the front desk where it was supposed to be placed as he sat down in a chair to await being interviewd. He only hoped that he could get the job becuase he needed this. Not only to make some more bits so that he could fund any future inventions of his, but because he was sick of being a...a..what were those things called that lived underground and didnt socialize? Merlocks? Mylocks? He didnt know. Sitting quietly, he whistled nervously to himself.

How about Geary Twist? He's pretty responsible

"Easy" Valoren nodded as he picked up and grabbed a torch from the wall. Raising it up high, he shouted "TO HAY WITH YOU AND YOUR CRAZY CULT" before throwing it down towards what was left of the statue. Watching it start to melt the statue, he jumped back in pure surprise as it suddenly ignited into a blaze as the statue had been covered in some residue which made the statue extremtely flammable. Eyes averting left and right, he picked up a chair as he tossed it through a window behind them as he turned back to the crowd below. "Later suckers" he grinned as he leaped out the window, grabbing Dazzle's hoof in the process!! Landing on a large tarp that doubled as a blanket, Val leaped from it into the air as he landed on a nearby roof. "WOO HOO!! That was awesome!! Truly awesome!! We really showed e...aw crud" Val droned off as he could see members of the cult slowly climbing up to get at them. Turning back to Dazzle, he grinned "And this little part of the adventure is something I like to call "a chase scene" we run for our lives, and lose em. Sound fun"?

Nodding at what she said, as he quickly tried to change the subject, Val grinned "Heh, awesome!! So if we do this, then esentialy we're showing that the mighty gamemakers can be challenged and therefore overruled!! Thats great"!! Freezing as she brought up what he said, Val laughed weakly as he struggled with himself. "Cmon, you can go on highly dangerous adventures that tend to almost be too much for you, I think you can handle admitting how you really feel to a certain unicorn" he berated himself. Looking down, he then glanced up as he gave her a soft smile. "I think your a really beautiful unicorn, and...I really like you but..I think I like you alot more than...okay, I know I like you more than just a friend. I..just didnt admit it to you because..I was worried that..well..you wouldnt feel the same way about me. It sounds really dumb I know, I..I should have just been straightforward with you from the start and yet I held back what I felt out of fear. I...I love you Midnight". Getting those last three words out, he awaited her response.
