1. Lost the original topic? Well let me get you back on track.

Actually, most aren't post apocalyptic. Fallout Equestria is the largest proprietor of post apocalyptic pony action.

Really, if you want to make a parody of HiE stories I suggest you read.

The Pony Fall stories (Some are good some are trash)

    Of Things Forgotten

    Those Who Came Before

    Grayscale

Revenge of the Fallen (I find this story to be trash)

    Mechanations of a Trickster

    Human

Griffon the Griffon or Ballad of Echo the Diamond Dog

    Pistons and Ponies

    Machine and Might

    Chains

Sorry, no links. It would be really tedious. Just type those in the Fimfiction search bar and see if any catch your fancy. They cover most of the craziness of the HiE genre.

  2. Pound and Astral abruptly stopped their giggling fit when Cheery sped off.

"Ah man," He said embarrassed. The entire situation was just a simple communication error he thought. Pound went through the entire situation in his head: She thought that perhaps Razor was hurt and blasted him with harmless magic, Razor puts on his big griffon pants, the sheriffs party complimented her, and he and Astral shared a laugh at the sheer ridiculousness of the situation. Now normally after that someone laughed, then everyone laughed at the communication failure, but something didn't add up this time. He had missed something, and he felt terrible for laughing when someone else was in pain.

Astral could only sigh as Cheery ran out. She looked at Razor and pointed a hoof at the griffon. "I can't say you were harsh, and by your expression I can tell that you what you did wrong. She only wanted to help, and you were offended. You should at least go see if she's alright."

  3. *nods*

The only problem I can see there would be the NCA's motivation for letting a high ranking officer go all the way to Stalliongrad to help the Steel Rangers (I don't think they get alone in FoE: Heroes).

Luckily it's not really important because these FoE: Rps are pretty much universal and as long as your OC has the authority to go where he wants it's all good.

  4. Heh, wish I woulda lived in your neighborhood in middle school. Here in small town Grand Haven, Middle schoolers are the most judgemental of everyone. And the most violent :(

Dang really? Honestly, In my 23 years of life and all my schooling I've never seen any bullying or alienating. Fights were relatively rare and usually came about because of a petty power struggle.

  5. In my experience, it isn't the six-year olds that have that. Maybe a little, but if you just show up with a pony and play with it, it's fine. It's around eight/nine that it becomes a problem and by Middle School it becomes acidic.

Might be the way kids are depending on where we're located. Down here when kids are 6 being slightly different from the kids around you can make you forever alone until they meet more kids. Middle school down here is about the time were everything went pretty lax and kids stopped caring what you did as long as you were fun to hang with.

  6. Honestly I don't know what to tell you.

Truth is you may have just been thinking that kids are harsher at younger ages. At that age ponies are for girls and trucks are for boys. It's much easier for us to be comfortable in the things we like. I assume most of us here at least between middle school age. At six, being a boy with MLP toys would, in all seriousness probably alienate him and stunt his you know, social development or something.

As for that fear, yeah its a bit irrational. Even if he watched them all it just wouldn't be the same as watching them with another fan of the show. He would probably gladly rewatch them with you. I watch spice and wolf with my friend on blu-ray, I also watch it online, but I rewatch the same episodes with him in person because its fun.

  7. Oh, I didn't know we needed to put that list there.

    1. Arik would talk about

Whatever he remembers from his past

    Fighting

How to survive in the wastes with whatever's around

    His cybernetics

    fighting

    Weapons

    Witty Banter

    His mercenary group

    2. Arik wouldn't talk about

His first wife or daughter (he'd have to be prodded)

    3. Arik would speak freely with

    Anyone

    4. Arik would likely ask about

    Brute's missing wing

    Snowshoe's scars

    How Slip Gun has been

Ask Gridpoint why he's not up in the clouds with the rest of the enclave.

    ------------------

    1. Black Raven would talk about

    Electronics

    Mechanics

    Magic

    How she met Arik

    2. Black Raven wouldn't talk about

    Her parents

    3. Raven would talk to

    anyone

    4. Raven wants to ask

    What the Enclave is like.

  8. The visuals made it pretty apparent what they were getting at.

I just willingly bit the bait, because biting bait makes the show more fun.

Also I never said it wasn't magic, any tech that doesn't fit with their current level of advancement can get handwaved by saying It's magic. The scene actually makes me think that there maybe guards in canterlot that sit around staring at magically conjured screens and In my mind they sit around dunking donuts in coffee cups and deleting bad PMV's from their videos folder by using drag and drop like trixie did.

  9. Any superficial resemblance between computer cursors and Trixie's spell is entirely coincidental. I'm sure PCs still don't exist in Equestria.

    Hmmm...

    hm.....

    hmmmmmmmmmmmmm....

I don't know B, sometimes enough is too much. LOL! Would've written it off if Vinyl's turntable set up didn't exist. And Pinkie's mouth getting dumped into an obviously digital trash bin was definitely a WTF.

Makes you wander exactly how schizo their tech really is.

  10. Another thing I just remembered:

When Fluttershy was nervously biting her hooves... she bit off hoof-chippings.

Considering how hard pony hooves are... I do not EVER want Fluttershy to bite me. She'd probably kill me.

Rewatched it like 10 mins ago and I just noticed that Trixie used a computer cursor and recycling bin to delete Pinkie's mouth.

Makes me wonder if they have PCs or if they are aware of their status as flash animated characters.

  11. Name: "???" Ghost Face

    Sex: Mare

    Age: Young Mare

    Species: Unicorn

    Eye colour: Silver

    Coat colour: Ash grey

Mane/Tail/Markings colour & Style: Silver mane and tail. Her mane is long, but she keeps it in a braided bun so that it doesnt interfere with combat. She keeps her tail at a medium length and ties of the end with a ribbon her dad gave her.

(General appearance): She wears a brown hooded cloak to cover up most of her body and keep the sun off of her, and she wears a black mask with a pony skull painted over it to protect her identity. She usually keeps her shotgun strapped to her right side and her knives strapped on her left side.

(Cutiemark): Knife with angel wings (Covered by her cloak)

(View of the Law): The law doesn't do enough to protect ponies in her eyes. They can't be everywhere all the time, and they don't actively try to scare away problems. She has no problem offing corrupted officials.

(Weapons/Fighting style): Lever action shotgun of similar design to the Winchester 1901, throwing knives that are enchanted to return to her, smoke bombs, and pepper bombs. She's an expert CqC fighter (has no problem using her shotgun as a bludgeoning tool and is an adept knife fighter, because she was trained by buffalo she is very strong for a mare her size), a prodigy with thrown weapons, and is a dead eye with her Winchester. If possible she'll take people down quietly with thrown knives, otherwise she divides and conquerors. It's pretty common for her to do her research and outmaneuver outlaws and bandits, so that she can take them by surprise.

(Lifelong dream as Western Frontier pony/whatever they are): To serve bandit heads on silver platters, until they're all dead or she kills over.

(History): Ghost Face's parents were killed by bandits when she was just a foal. She was taken in and raised by buffalo. Once she was old enough she left the buffalo tribe and started her crusade against bandits, vowing to never let anypony go through the same lose that she did. Using the ambush and fighting skills the buffalo taught her, she started to carve the bounty heads like lightning. She continues to scour the plains in search of all bandit scum, her eternal mission, to evict them from this plane of existence.

(Personality): Surprisingly talkative, cynical, clam and collected. She rarely jumps head first into stuff. even though she tries not to get close to other ponies she still likes to know people as at least a reliable contact, but that could change.
