"Yeah...Pesto, I have something I need to ask you." Said Grey. "You know I love you, and can't wait to start a family. I would love to marry you, but I don't think we can now. I need a business, we need our own money. So, what I'm asking is, Will you, when we can, marry me?"
-
Grey looked at the blueprints. "The ancients certainly knew what they wanted..." he said, "And nothing more. Zynk, minor problem. The ancients filled you with inefficiently sized systems, so extras could not be packed it. I CAN give you the DES, and other updated systems, but it would require stripping your entire skin and almost rebuilding. Of course, to keep you in shape, I would use the old metals. If you want me to do that, I can use panels on the rest of the body. In the meantime you would be able to use the Grey Steel body, if you want that. Of course, I will also allow you to make updated blueprints. Your skeleton would be the same, everything else would be moved about."
-
Grey wasn't imagining the foals, he saw them. He was talking to Pesto. About how hectic life was with the foals, and how much they liked it that way. Then, Pesto said something odd. He couldn't make it out at first, but made out part of it. "...nders for inspira-" was all he could clearly understand. "What, honey? Sorry, I was thinking about our foals."
-
"Yeah, it is. Great inspiration for a painting, wouldn't you say?" He asks. His mind drifted off, to the two of them relaxing on the beach, just talking, as the foals play in the water, tossing around a beach ball. The two of them sharing apple cider, unpacking a picnic for the whole family, and calling in the foals to eat. His mind visibly wandered.
-
"Let's go," said Grey as he grabbed a towel for the two to lay on. "Love you," he said as he took her hoof and guided her over the dune to the bay.
-
"I meant, how about we set ourselves up at the beach all day. We can't spend everyday like we did yesterday." Said Grey, nudging Pesto.
-
"How about we spend a day," began Grey, "testing the waters?"
-
Well then, make it happen. Come upstairs to see Grey or something...
-
Guys, what do you think of Pesto finally being here?
-
"Whatever you want, my dear," said Grey, planting a kiss on her cheek. "How about having the bedroom on the third floor, in case we ever need time away from the foals?"
-
"Beautiful. You know what? What if you could paint the side wall as a mural? And what do you want inside? I know you want an art room, but what else? What about our room?" Said Grey.
-
"Excuse me, sirs, My fillyfriend and I have bought this house, so, would it be possible to have it decorated, painted and the like to our own specifications? Of cousre, the floor plan remains the same." Said Grey, the workers agreed.
"Pesto, what do you have in mind?"
-
Grey got up and chased her playfully to the house.
-
Grey began toying with his designs for the DES, and asked Zynk, "Could you send me your blueprints so I can work on how to make things fit?"
-
Well, I hope it isn't a dream for long. You want to head back down to the beach? Construction workers should be there, we can tell them what we want." Said Grey, content to go wherever she goes.
-
"Oh yes, what was it? Please, tell me every detail!" Said Grey, genuinely wanting to know what she dreamed of.
-
"And a very bright one, at that." Said Grey, who then blinked, but when he opened his eyes, it was daylight out, with children playing in the park. Still, he would not move unitil Pesto awoke, so as he would not be the one to wake her.
-
Grey takes hold of Pesto's hoof, and begins to paint his own image. "I...L...O...V...E...Y...O...U..." he spells out with her hoof.
-
Grey saw Pesto painting the sky, and tried to guess what it was. "A carriage? A garden? Us? Our house? Our Foals! Is that it? Are you painting our foals? Our future?"
-
Grey pointed out a blanket. "Home. I like that word. But it doesn't matter where I am, as long as I am with you. Here. We sleep under the stars tonight." Said Grey, as he lay on the blanket, and points up to the stars, trying to find the constellations.
-
"Well, I won't say much, but that it is a beautiful evening, and the house isn't finished, so we technically don't have anywhere to stay..." He said, as a small, grassy park came into view.
-
Well, that outage sure was a doozy of a doozy, eh? Almost twelve hours without Canterlot.com? Even though I was sleeping most of the time, it was terrible.
-
Well tjat one was a doozy, eh? Luckily, most.of these happen when I am sleepy.
-
"Well, I have one more thing for us..." Said Grey, mysteriously.

From there, Grey was incredibly happy. He knew, he hap Pesto for life. The greatest thing to ever be his, would be with him every day. It was as if the whole world was his that day, and he could not be happier. All he needed to be happy was to be with her, and with their future foals. As eloquent as he was, he could not find words to express is joy, and simply let out a quiet squeak instead.
