"Alright. I'm so lucky to have a receptionist like you working for me. You need any help moving everything from your old house to the condo? I can get some guys on it. When do you want them over?"

"Personally, I feel that even without lyrics, classical music gives more meaning. Other music just has the lyrics, too literal. But when it is wholly instrumental, the meaning is in what you feel at that time. A song can mean something different each time you hear it, and it is always just what you need. Sadly, nopony writes classical anymore, and this 'dubstep' won't qualify, because that doesn't even have music to construe to an emotion. I find that, in the absence of good music, I can at least talk to ponies who know what good music is."

Grey Matter, running, sees that he has passed the pony from earlier. He is too busy reassuring himself that he will not seem late to notice the altercation that is about to occur.

"What have you got there? It's after five, so you don't really need to be here. I already told you that you secured room A-102. Don't you think you are overworking yourself a little?"

"Actually, I do need you to turn on the power, if it isnt too much. Should be about time to power on. Oh, and take this, you earned it"

Grey Matter gives Runner a key, labeled A-101, meaning building A, 1st floor, room one. As Runner walks past, he can't help but notice a note. It reads:

"To the most faithful worker,

I have set aside one of the Condos to be given to a great worker. While I do not know who that is at the time of this writing, I trust myself to make a good decision of who it is to go to. This room, as you should know, is a complete suite, four bedroom, two stories, a kitchen, a dining room, living room, and den. It has a laundry room, and a backyard, with an upstairs balcony and a deck downstairs. It is done up in a contemporary style, made so that the afternoon light is enough to keep the entire place brighter than it could with lights. It was designed by Runner, and I believe he has done a great job. Please, accept this as my gift to you. Rent-free, no bills for the first year.

"Ah, Snowy! You're finally here! Did you get Sugarcube Corner to cater the opening?"

"No problem. You got any word on when the renters are due to drop by? I wanna know if I have time to do one more run of the building, Make sure it is all set to begin opening in the next week."

Grey grabs the couch and begins to move it. All the while, he is beginning plans for an expansion project, should the building be successful. He knows he is gonna need somepony to head the project...

"Yes, it looks very nice. I hear you had a hoof in designing this one, right? Because if so, I see a bright future for you around here. And yes, I am looking for the foreman, he is never here! In fact, if you don't know where he is, you are active foreman until he arrives. I needed to ask him when the lighting is supposed to be ready."

Grey Matter points out that it is only the afternoon sun that is making the walls glow.

"Oh, no no no, thank you for gracing my ears with the music. So, what got you into classical music to begin with?"

Grey Matter is on vacation in Manehattan, partaking in perhaps his favorite activity, pony watching. He sees somepony running down the street, with a manuscript seemingly hidden beneath his leg. Grey had recently become the publisher of a magazine after his father retired, and was today scheduled to meet with one of the journalists. He attempts to flag down this pony, figuring him to be the star journalist, Newsworthy, however, the pony is in too much of a rush, and goes right past him. Grey then recalls that they were due to meet at the Manehattan office for the newspaper, and rushes to the building, hoping not to keep Newsworthy waiting.

"Oh yes, me and my friends were there. Up on the balcony. I find the acoustics are best up there, I actually found the exact seat where all the sound mixes perfectly. It gives you a chance to feel the music, really, as it all reaches the exact spot. I felt I had seen you from somewhere. In that case, you are a very talented cellist."

"Oh, my apologies. You see, I'm new to Ponyville, just moved from Fillydelphia. The names Grey Matter. Pinkie invited me, so that I could meet people here. Sadly, Fillydelphia is filled with so many people coming and going, you only establish a few friends. Seems my conversational skills have gotten a bit rusty. I see by your cutie mark that you are a fan of classical music."

"Well, look at the things we have but cant use. They have to be impressions from another dimension, with things that can use them. For instance, we cant very well operate an arcade game. The highest score I've seen is five. It just doesn't work with our hooves, but they exist." Grey Matter can tell he is losing ground here, and must think kf skmething fast to salvage this conversation...

Grey Matter walks up to Octavia, fascinated by what she had just said. He porceeds to confide in her that He belives in humans, and attempts to strike up an intelligent conversation, as opposed to some drivel Octavia typically hears.

Well, if it isn't too much trouble, I just started an RP, and would like somepony to try it out with me. It can really go in any direction, so I want to see where it is taken, if anypony would play it.

Welcome. You are here beginning at the last days of construction of the Grey Area Condominums, a large Condo Complex built for ponies who honor family values. It is named after the creator, the brilliant, if slightly narcissistic, Grey Matter. Rules as follow:

- No cursing where fillies or colts are involved.

- What happens here does not apply to other RPs unless they specifically state otherwise. In other words, a marriage in the RP is not in another RP

- Please, keep it clean.

- No double posts.

- Feel free to add into the story whatever you feel it needs.

- I reserve the right to add new rules as I see necessary.

- This goes on past the opening, and into the usage of the condos

- Have fun!

Grey Matter enters Building A of the new Grey Area Condominiums, searching for the project foreman. With nopony to be found, he begins to tour the building to see if it is up to par. Construction is complete here, just needs to be furnished. He remembers that today is when the first renters come to look, and awaits them at the front desk.

EDIT: To anypony who wants to join new, there is an OOC thread. Please introduce your character there so everybody can catch you up to what is relevant to your character, rather than you having to read through what is currently over 220 posts.

EDIT 2: I have added "Security" to the roster. Please, anypony looking to join, I urge you to be security, while you are allowed to join into most roles, other RPers are pointing out the need for security staff. Thank you.

EDIT 3: The security position has been filled. While more help is always appreciated, you need not any longer feel obliged to join as a security guard. ALSO I want to say here, to anypony joining or already here, please, feel free to RP as multiple characters, I have no problem with that, so long as you can handle them.

EDIT 4: Added to the roster, room numbers added. I intend to post in the companion thread a full list of rooms, and try to scan up a floor plan.

Grey gets (literally) kicked from the restaraunt. He lands on his head and stumbled awkwardly, as if drunk, to the hospital, where he collapses. Before pasiing out, he points out the obvious, "My head...it hurts."

Indeed, and I may be as intellectual as Grey Matter, but I lack the art talent of any pony, and drawing for them is near impossible, what with the hooves and all.

Grey Matter proceeds to grovel at the hooves of Partheus, knowing that should he not pay his tab, he will get kicked out in about 7 minutes, to never come back.

Grey Matter enters after a long, exhaustive day to go to the restaraunt, where he orders the usual, a veggie roll. He knows the chef, which is good, because when he reaches for his pocket to get his wallet, he realizes that ponies do not have pockets. Still, even as his friend, the chef requires some money. As smart as he is, grey matter begins to think of a ruse to mooch money off restaraunt goers. Unltimately, he simply decides to beg for money, beginning with Kacey.

Say, who did your OC? I want to upsize mine, and give it more personality.
