  1. Cleareye suspisions proved correct. Grey Matter indeed bought train ticked today and she even knew his destination.

    Canterlot...

It could be troublesome to go out of there personaly. After all castle city was a capitol and drawing attention of authorithies there was unwise. She needed to get him out of city somehow.

Two hours later airship rose from Everfree Forest. From flying "fortress" scurred small swarm of automated drones.

Each of them contained one of coat hairs - picked from Grey house.

"No metter where you hide, I will find you. No one escapes from my crosshair." mare said to herself, smirking and petting her favourite railgun.

    ******

Frenzy was lost - as always. His instinct told him to hasten to Canterlot, yet he had no clue why. He was sure that it was the place thought.

"Where now? Answer me ancestors." he asked pulling one of giantic battle axes. He gazed into it's lusterous surfance when suddenly weapon pulled him to the right - entirely by itself. Frenzy smiled, his plea was answered.

  2. Ok! I now have another deck that's sort of still in construction. Here's a Goblin-ish damage deck.

    Name: WREAAAAAAAAAAAAACHHHH!<---(Goblin scream lol)

    Colors: Red

    Format: Casual

    Creatures: (18)

    4 Goblin Arsonist

    3 Goblin Fireslinger

1 Ember Hauler (Should probably get more)

    1 Goblin Chieftan

    1 Flameblast Dragon

    1 Pierce Strider

    1 Pilgrim's Eye (May remove)

    2 Perilous Myr

    2 Iron Myr

    2 Palladium Myr

    Non-Creature (17):

    1 Flame Slash

    4 Lightning Bolt

    4 Incinerate

    2 Goblin Grenade

    2 Fireball

    2 Curse of Bloodletting

    2 Curse of Pierced Heart

    Planeswalker: (1)

    Chandra Nalaar

    24 Mountain

    I will tackle this one.

I like Goblin Arsonist, but I must say - always prefered Boros Recruit as my favorite goblin one drop, still, it's just my preferance. If not, why not add Bloodmark Mentor? Little more about Arsonist...- Skirk Prospector works fine with him as do Voracious Dragon. I also reccomend waiting for M13. Both Krenko, Mob Boss and Thundermaw Hellkite can be good additions. If you use Curse of Bloodletting then use Malignus too. Curse of Pierced Heart is too slow for my tastes. Also Fireball is no, no. Use Comet Storm, Banefire of Demonfire instead. For Perilous Myr - Kuldotha Rebirth. Both Iron and Palladium Myr's can be replaced by Braid of Fire, but I realise that it can be expensive. Also as much as I like Nalaar, her third incarnation is just better as is Koth(who is win con in itself). I would also pick some artifact destruction in the sideboard.

This is only some lose toughts. I never played goblin deck myslef, more like Suicide Red. I will let others pick up from here.

  3. Couple hours earlier....

Amazingly advanced airship landed in Everfree Forest.

It was not oridnary job even for her. Rarely anyone posted bounty so hight. Three milion bits! It was not the opurnity that bounty huntress known as "Cleareye" would pass up. Earth Pony mare left most of her equipment near edge of the forest on the tree and followed to investigate the Ponyville. She rearranged hat on her head. It was not her first time here - nope - it was fourth actually. Ponyville was nice town and even Cleareye would avoid exchange of fire if possible. Still the job is the job, and sentimentality never was a obstacle for her. Asking otherponies abount the stallion on the photo she finaly found the right place. The doors was closed but it was to be expected, she just breaked inside from the window. Cleareyes efforts was in vain however - it looked like Grey left - and in hurry to boot. Blue mare was investigating the house for clues when suddenly she heard a loud bump coming from the entrance. Somepony forced himself into! She pulled submachine guns from her satchels and moved slowly to intecept the intruder - "Much like myself" she noted, it could mean only one thing - competition. When only door frame was between her and the hallway she lunged herself to the side, landing on the floor and pointing her guns forward. Cleareye fastened her eyes in the stranger...and gave herself sigh of relief. That was no stranger nor the enemy.

"By Celestia, Frenzy! You startled me!"

In the hallway stood really impresive minotaur. Really impresive. The Iron Will who visited this town not so long ago was like, half of this guy! Two giantic battle axes hanged from his back, the magical runes glowed on metalic surfences.

"Ho! Cleareye! Sorry. Didn't expecting ya here. Not so fast at least."

"Well good to be you. I was thinking it was that nutjob brothers."

"Oh? You don't know? They gone!"

    "What?" she screamed in surpraise.

"Yup! They got commision on some noble buffon from Aquellia, baron or something like that. But it was more then they could chew. It turned out he was no slouch and they got there flanks kicked. Few day later and...." he finished by moving his finger across throat.

"Can't say I didn't saw that coming. Anyway...I assume you for here the same reson as I do, right?"

"Yup". Frenzy said pulling the photography identical to one Cleareye's " Pretty strange if you ask me. That much bits and they wan't him alive? Well I am not complaning".

" But I do. Out of luck, he's gone".

" Oh....too bad. Any ideas?" he asked.

" Like I would give you. Besides, I found nothing. And I have no clues either."

The last line was a lie actually, Cleareye still had a few ideas where Grey Matter could have gone to. But no sense of saing that. Even to somepony you could label a "friend".

" Ahhh darn it. Just my luck. I will get him anyway." Frenzy made a shorte pause browsing the room. "Or maybe you want - you know - to team up? Just like the old times?" he asked. Mare gave him a troubled look. She worked with Frenzy in the past, she also worked against him. Both of them crossed each others paths so often that they lost the count. After some time something one could name a friendly rivaly was formed. Three milion on two would still be astronomical sum but...

" Not yet Frenzy. I want to try him personaly. Check how hard he is." she explained.

The minotaur gave a understanding nod." Well maybe later then. Good luck". he said and left.

Running into Frenzy cheered mare a bit. Cleareye waited for a moment and left to ask ponies at the train station. It was after all - not counting his own hooves - the only way he could leave the town.

  4. Vow of Wildness is excellent idea especially in Multiplayer! Not only you boost your creatures, you can keep something nasty one's from attacking you too!

About other Auras: Bequeathal, Canopy Cover, Carapace, Elephant Guide, Fist of Ironwood, Frog Tongue, Instill Energy, Keen Sense maybe Mythic Proportions? One with Nature helps in ramping. Pattern of Rebirth can help against Wrath effect's. I would also put Elixir of Immortality or Wheel of Sun and Moon in sideboard to protect againts mill. Boggle and Gnarlid are both Beast's - Rein's of the Vinesteed may be some use in exploiting that. Venom can be use in case of facing first strike+deathtouch combo.

Adding white too can be good option. This combo of colors indeed have some awesome auras like Armadillo Cloak or Shield of Oversoul. Pure white aura's are efficent as well - Cho-Manno's Blessing, Crown of Awe, Daybreak Coronet, Hyena Umbra. New Felidar Umbra from Planechase can beckome Plan B in case you need to outlast the opponent. Flickerform too can help against removal. White also gives nice selection of Aura supporting creatures like Kor Spiritdancer and Umbra Mystic.

  5. But speaking of Rancor:

    Name: Hexproof Auras

    Color: Green

    Format: Casual

    Creatures:

    (1)4xSlippery Boggle, 4xGladecover Scout,

    (2)4xSilhana Ledgewalker

    (3)2xSacred Wolf, 4xAura Gnarlid

    Enchantments

    (1)4xRancor, 4xSpider Umbra, 4xWild Growth,

    (3)2xAncestral Mask

    (5+)2xVerdant Embrace, 2xEpic Proportions

    Other:

    2xNaturalize, 1x Desert Twister, 1x Hurricane

    19xForest, 1xPendelhaven

This deck is a lot of fun to play, especially when an epic proportions comes down at instant speed. The Aura Gnarlids don't have hexproof, and consequently, keep their removal from being dead cards in hand, but they kill so many people that I can't bring myself to take them out. I don't think Verdant Embrace is pulling its weight in this deck, but it is lots of fun and gives the deck just enough defense that you can just attack all out each turn, even in multiplayer. I really wish there was more power to be had in green auras in the 2-4 mana range. The deck needs to win quickly, and thus play super aggressive. So as much as I like Gaea's Embrace, I never have the mana to run the regeneration on it, so it ends up being an expensive rancor.

Looks like fun! Do you tried another Auras weesh? And if you did which one's? Mabe I can help.

I can see synergy with Bramble Elemental and Dowsing Shaman but I guess they too slow.

  6. I personaly think that green from Magic 2010 and onwards was very strong. The thing is it had to compatate with things like, Jace the Wallet Sculptor, Valakut, the Molten Pinnacle , and Stoneforge Mystic at the time. Thankfully both Jace and Mistic were banned (still too late IMO). But that was not full scale of the problem. It was the fact that the fun cards like Vengevine, Avenger of Zendikar, Omnath and Gaea's Revenge were all overshadowed by Eldrazi/Titan cycle and later Wurmcoil Engine and Blightsteel Colossus. About Scars set? Only Thrun was used more often - Melira and Vorinclex were both skipped over. Situation got a bit better in Innistrad but as long as Premival Titan is here they will not get much deserved love.

Worse yet, Green have few choices regarding Planeswalkers - Nissa is to narrow and weak and three other are all Garruk! Two of his incarnations are strong sure but what about competition? Blue got three Jace's, Tezzaret and Tamiyo, white had Gideon, two Elspeth and Ajani - the last one will get new, good incarnation soon. On the borderline we have Sorin L.of I. , Venser and Tezzaret(Secret Agent Man). The snide one's will point at Karn but he was all the hype only. Conclusion? Green need's new planeswalker - strong one to boot. I supose we will see Kior Atura soon, which can be good even if she will be partialy Blue.

  7. I must say I'm surprised to see so many multi color decks. Usually one or two color tend to be the most reliable, due to consistancy. I do realize there is a great deal of multicolor providing cards, and usually they are quite powerful if they get into play as well. However in my experience such decks take a while to get going. And if up against a very fast mono/dual color it can be over before it gets fully set up. Just my opinion of course!

It's all thanks to Invasion block basicly. It was well recived so Wizards took a shot to do the same later. After that we had sweet, sweet Ravnica. Shadowmoor and Eventide made Multicolor even more worth of notice thanks to hybrid mana (first introduced in Ravnica) . After that we got Alara which was very fun block to play. In a nutshell the power level of the cards is much, much higher then in the past especially multicolor cards (Spinx of Steel Wind and Progenitus being good exemples).

  8. (OOC: I hope no one mind if I join in? With the villan post to boot.)

    Meanwhile in Manehattan.

The teal colored unicorn trotted alone trought the tunel, deep benath the streets of the city. The walls of stone were cold and wet but it was not the first time the mare was here. Indeed she traveled trought here often, after all she was the "right claw" of her Master. Finaly she made it to the massive, richly encrusted doors. Mare knocked one of the wings precise number of times with her horn and the gates opened. She entered the cave - but it was not the normal grotto - the whole place was sinking in luxury. The stone surfance was not left to nature, instead it was shaped into scenes of ages past. She new that her Master actually was witness of every one of these events. The furniture , stalagmites and stalactites also was decorated with silver. Silver and only silver for Master despised the gold. There were many more wonders within this cave but mare wasted enought time, she moved deeper, guided by few magical lamps here and there. Finaly she was at her destination.

"My Lord" Mare said. In the darkness the pair of ruby red eyes opened. The slitted pupils glared at the newly arrived pony.

"Ah" said the deep yet soft voice in pleased tone "Wood Whisper - timely as alwayssss...what news do you bring my dear Shrashavaska?"

Wood Whisper felt the goosebumps from joy of being prised by her Lord.

"We found him my Lord. Grey, that is. He's at little town of Ponyville."

"Grey? Excellent newssss Shrashavaska, excellent news. Ponyville...hmmm that could be problematic, close to Canterlot yessss." He said and brooded for a moment. "Yessss. He chosen wisely but not wisely enought. Finaly he will be punished." voice said with satisfaction.

"Shall I go and deal with him myself my Lord? Or dispatch our minions to deal with him?" she asked.

"Neither. As I ssssaid my dear Whisper it's too close to Royal Centre for that. No. We will use Bounty Huntersss instead."

" Very well my Lord. The usuall ones?" Wood asked to be sure.

"No. The best ones. There is more in him then meets the eye, we can not risk failure."

"Very well Sir. I will deal with it immediately"

"Of course you will Shrashavaska. After all it's you." the male chuckled a little.

The mare bowed and dissappeared back into darkness. He waited for a moment after whitch he picked a fireheart ruby from a silver bowl with his white claw and took a bite.

" Very soon Grey, very soon. It's a shame really - the pony with your skills.... But you chosed wrong. NO ONE refuses Dragon Lord of Crime. You will pay for your frivolity...it's inevitable."

The white like snow dragon grinned in the darkness and gave a sinister laughter.

  9. Wow this is kinda a fun thread to look over. I played for years and years. But stopped around the time legions came out.

Looking at the deck lists, I can't tell at all what tournament format any of these are being built for. Since I see way ancient cards that I used to play myself, way back when. Extended?

Necro/donate *though I didn't own it* Is still the strongest deck I know of. It even beat lots of T1 decks just because force of will is technically free. However they banned a whole bunch of cards from it so I don't think it's playable now. Anybody remember that one when it was ruling the extended format a long time ago? However, after limiting dark ritual, and completely banning necropotence from the game, it finished it's winning run. Still It was so fun to watch someone play that *laughs*.

"I'll do this!" ... "No you won't".. "force." "Dang it!"

Magic changed a lot since Legions my friend. With things like removal of Mana Burn, adding Planeswalkers and much, much more it's whole diffrent game.

If i was to name my favourite deck it would propably be "Tezzerator", cose I just adore artifact and Tezz is my number 2 after Venser.

  10. Coolest: the ability to break the second law of thermodynamics at will. And by coolest, I mean, if I am hot, then I will just transfer the heat away from myself, and I will be cool instead.

Enthropy control? Kinda cool. It not only controls temerature, it screws most (if not all) chemical reactions as well.

I would chose teleportation. Who knows, maybe it allows to teleport items as well (I don't see why not). If it does not then Replicate.
