1. I knew you wouldn't do it, that was just Midnight's stance. But, you are right, poor communication/planning

Wait, you knew Grim wouldn't do it? Grim has proven himself loyal to a fault, and not afraid of getting a little bloody. If you'd given Pinprick the order, then you know it wouldn't get carried out, due to Pinprick and Shadow's past encounters, but Grim would quite happily have killed Shadow. The kill order was poorly thought out. Although Spaced really should have communicated the Templar incident. I mean the chantry break-in was a nice little sub-plot, but the Templars threw everything out of the window. That really should have been planned out between yourself and Midnight.

  2. Hooray! Posts! My master plan has succeeded! Now I'll make a more formal app thingy, as per the original guidelines!

    Games You Own:

    Pokemon Black: 3826 7631 4615

Pokemon White 2(Now have a Sandslash so I'll beat that pesky Zebstrika): 3053 6690 7090

Pokemon Heartgold and Pokemon Diamond I do own but will need some work put in to make them competitive.

If names are important then for some bewildering reason I go by Matthew on all but Pokemon White 2, where I'm Cainiam.

Favorite Pokemon: Heracross! With Marowak as a very close second.

Starter Pokemon Choice: Well for first playthroughs I went Bulbasaur, Totodile, Mudkip, Piplup, Snivy.

Pokemon Team: Level 100: Heracross, Marowak, Staraptor, Weavile, Scizor, Gallade (I do have more level 100s, but these guys are my standard team.)

Level 50: Bisharp, Sawk, Vespiquen, Kabutops, Empoleon, Stoutland. (My Shiny Kabutops looks like a Scyther)

    Favorite Types: Bug, Water, Psychic

Other: I have never really battle competitively according to any rules, but I am aware of the basics. Which pokemon are uber, the one item and banned items, and such. My team aren't EV-trained, so I don't know how they'll perform against a trainers who's are, probably very poorly, but I don't mind giving it a try. I'm open to any sort of battles, and if you want to trade, then I'm open for that kind of stuff too. Just PM me, or better yet post something in this thread to help keep it active.

I'm English, but a university student, so while times are more flexible than if I had a job, I'm still on British Time. On an average day I'll be online until 2 or 3AM GMT, so nothing super duper late.

  3. If he was bad or good we won't know, Grim definitely wasn't in the right.

You see the point im pushing right? Grim is doing stuff and no one is reprimanded him.

I have a problem with that.

Reprimanding him is Midnight's job, or Razormane or Stardust. All of whom are under Midnight's control. I mean Pinprick was quite apprehensive around Grim too, mostly because he was a little afraid of him, as we saw. Grim then spent most of his time separate from the group sorting out the Frosts. Once Grim's proven he's a nice guy, maybe Pinprick and Nexar will see him differently. If you look at this from Nexar's point of view especially though, then he's just met Grim and the first thing he's seen him do is torture a guy for information. It would take serious pluck to confront him about that considering that's the only aspect of his personality Nexar knows. And after that heart to heart at the camp, where we saw Pinprick wanting to trust Grim, but not quite managing, well Grim's done little to improve his stature in Pinprick's eyes since then. If you want Grim to get called out, then you need to show that he's open to criticism outside of battle, and actually quite a nice guy.

  4. Is this thing still active? I finally picked up Pokemon White 2 for Christmas, and now I'm right back into the Pokemon scene. Then I notice some rper posting about flat battles, and I suddenly recall seeing this thread quite some time ago. A little poke about the search features, and I find it's looking a little dead. So I wonder if maybe giving it a max revive might get it back on it's feet. After all if I'm interested and at least one other players is vaguely interested, especially with this recent Pokemon X and Y announcement restoring interest, then maybe a revival might be on the cards?

Just in case this somehow pans out and we see wonderful, wonderful life blossoming, here's my friend codes.

    Pokemon Black: 3826 7631 4615

Pokemon White 2(Only on fourth gym, so won't see action for a bit longer): 3053 6690 7090

I do have Diamond and HeartGold too, but I always move my best Pokemon to the newest game once I'm Champion, and just keep them for the occasional replay.

I'm no EV-Trainer, but I've got quite a few Pokemon, including a few level 100s as I've been playing since Pokemon Yellow (Not quite early enough for Red/Blue), and I'm up for battling and trading.

  5. "Attention, soldier! That was pretty... reasonable thing you did. But it doesn't tell why you were away from your post. Explain." General ordered in harsh, but not angry tone.

Chainmail instinctively saluted to the General, but couldn't help but sigh with relief as he commented on his actions as reasonable. Looked like Chainmail would walk away from this after all. Chainmail knew that he couldn't beat around the bush with the general, but it was a rather long story, so he decided to paraphrase it as quickly as possible. "Sir! I was guarding the northern gate when a pair of High Bloods requested escorting to the Imperial Palace. Once my duty was complete I turned to leave when I heard the sounds of combat. I rushed around to the rear of the palace to see those two injured guards, and a pony vanish into the darkness. When I caught up with him to arrest him, you arrived, and then this all happened!" Chainmail decided to leave out his shameful trot after him, and how he hadn't thrown himself straight into duty, instead slinking after him in the shadows, and how them running into each other hadn't been part of his plan. "Sir!" he then added quickly at the end for good measure. He then waited for the General's response, while keeping one eye on the situation with the Prince and the intruder, curious about how it would continue.

  6. What is this word?

    And yes, it is hokey.

Well if it's an expletive by board rules then I think stating it in a non-18+ area, might be a bad idea.

    ****ation?

    Derp!

    D

    A

    M

    N

    A

    T

    I

    O

    N

Looks like Shadow's gotten it right anyway. I know it means exactly the same as darn, but I've never used darn, and I'm not going to start using darn. The day they introduced the censor, I spent months having to self moderate my posts as I use that word so much.

  7. oh and how bout that word filter? It works on the entire sight, 18+ isnt an exception. It'll censor c.r.a.p. but not that word I used in my post in that obviously vulgar way.

    amazing.

The word filter is a load of hokey. The things it blocks and doesn't block are ridiculous. Not to mention that a censor really messes up the 18+ board. How am I supposed to play a coked up racer if I can't throw out any vulgarities without their meaning being hidden? I know a lot of people say vulgarities are a crutch, and a bit of creativity can solve that problem, but sometimes the character you're playing is exactly the kind to spew expletives every five seconds, and that's no longer possible.

Also the shortening for ****ation isn't a swearword unless you're an 18th century Catholic. I hardly ever swear in real life, but I don't think I've gone a day without saying that in god knows how long. It's the word my mum advised using rather than swearing.

  8. I thought of maybe having Pinprick try to intervene by himself, but after weighing up how little he changed the odds, I had him rush back for back-up. As I just posted, I think Grim or Midnight will need to bring us as a whole to the chantry.

Also, uh as to Hoax being in control. I was only implying that so Midnight and Grim wouldn't think that Shadow was in his right mind, and blame his actions on him, as what just happened would not look good for him.

  9. Okay, I thought there were a few inconsistencies between the lore that Dusty was bringing to the table, and the lore that Starstorm had already set up, so after a little chat we agreed on a second paragraph to more realistically emulate how a nation would react when under threat. After all, if Equestria is rough enough to have a pirates, it's bound to have a Navy, and no Navy would allow it's home country to be invaded, and just sit there and take it. As a nice side benefit, with the fleets busy up North, us pirates have free rein over the Equestrian Skies and their spoils. Now not only is Dusty's lore compatible, it actively supports existing lore as to why piracy is rampant.

  10. Grim is a known apostate, and likely VERY wanted because of his mother's status. He did what he did out of self defense. him and his father moved around and often times fought and killed templars.

Um, not to stir trouble, but I thought he spent his life on the run from Templars? I mean there's quite a difference. As Nexar has been saying, if we approach this in a completely unbiased manner then the thought of a young apostate who doesn't know how to use his powers and his trained warrior father taking on hordes of Templars is a bit ridiculous. I mean small groups may be fair game with a bit of luck and some planning, but to say he's spent his entire life killing Templars, well, there's some things that not even a right of conscription can save you from. It takes a lot of convincing from Duncan just to get you off the hook if you play mage in Origins, and you haven't killed anyone.

  11. What happened to the whole NO PvP?

Also, he has no orders regarding Hoax. She is outside his orders.

Midnight did say no PVP, yet he also was the one to put out the kill order.

True, but considering the fact she's fighting with Shadow, and is against the Templars there is no reason to interfere and save her. If anything she'd just be labelled as an enemy. I mean she's just broken into the Chantry vault and stole a Tevinter relic. She's done nothing to help the Wardens at all. While we have no reason to kill her, that's what the Grandmaster wants, and we have no reason not to let him do so.

  12. Not really, no one like's Templars and if the Chantry came after the Warden's they'd essentially consign the world to oblivion. Thus no one in their right mind would support the Chantry in hunting Wardens.

We haven't written a hole...we've written an excellent sub plot.

    --------------------

Rite on conscription would end the same way as If grim killed them actually.

I agree that Conscription wouldn't work as we have an active kill order on Shadow. Grim would just kill him. If you think the public would side with Wardens over the Chantry then you must be gravely mistaken. There's a reason Teryn Loghain didn't hesitate to butcher all those Wardens, and there's a reason why the Wardens at Soldier's Peak were all butchered. Yes, the Wardens lose no matter what the point is, that's why we've hit a catch 22.

Any way we play it SENSIBLY Shadow is now dead. And Hoax is most likely. I see no reason why our group would interfere with the Templars. They're doing our job for us. If anything, Grim, Pinprick and Nexar should help the Templars kill Hoax and Shadow.

These aren't just unnamed Mooks though. We're facing a Grandmaster and his entourage. This will be a very tough fight.

  13. So, short summary:

Killing Shadow and Hoax (either because of the order, or because of beeing an apostate and enemy to the Chantry) is no option, PVP is not allowed and I also wouldn't like to be in a RP where player characters get killed by other player characters only because they didn't want to start with the group or wanted to post with someone else to make a really nice story together.

Leaving them to the Templars isn't an option either. It would result in two player characters getting killed, same as above.

Charging and killing the Templars? Just another option that totally isn't going to be the one we are using. It would result in 12 Templars and a Commander vs one Warden Apostate (didn't the Templars have heavy armor as well as abilities to counter magic?), one Warden Rogue, another Rogue, a Mage and the Crossbow Rogue. Of course we wouldn't be in a tactical good position either, we just aren't the spartans or anything like them (or anything better than them), and victory would be fairly unlikely. Without losses on our side probably even impossible. And no matter the outcome of this battle, either the Grey Wardens would throw every warden of us out of their ranks and hunt us toghether with the Chantry, or the Chantry and all of Equestria would turn against the Grey Wardens which are protecting criminals who attacked Templars and protected an apostate.

Oh yes, the final and probably only working option would be to try on diplomatic, and by that I mean real diplomatic, not that kind of diplomatic where you bring your weapon to the negation of a Peace treaty.

Wow, we've really written ourselves into a corner.
