1. "Oh, let's see... what have we not gone over already?" She silently spoke aloud, more to herself to give her some ideas. "Well, you've been around this forest for a while. I don't suppose you have any exciting stories?" As she spoke, a small twinkle popped up in her eye, and she spoke the last sentence with a measure of enthusiasm. Oh, she did love a good story. She grinned despite herself, and eagerly awaited a reply, while trying to maintain a more composed facade.
2. Silver looked towards the direction of the voice, only to see a Unicorn. She looked at her, and first of all noticed her toned down coat, and figured that those colours worked quite well for a mare running a jewelry store. Indeed, that worked better than most. She might have spent a while dwelling on the subject, had she not had a question to answer. Indeed, for a brief moment, she acted as though she hadn't heard it in the first place. Silver realized she must have still been a little tired, but regardless, she answered contentedly. "Well, I'm not sure. That would depend very much on what help you're willing to perform. May I presume you own this establishment?" She paused for an inquisitive moment, before carrying on "If so, I should probably tell you that your display window is quite eye-catching, but I digress. I can't say I know my way around jewelry, so if it wouldn't be too much of a bother, do you mind if I just browse for a little while?" Silver flashed a quick smile, and waited for a response. She figured it would be best not to make to much motion before any sort of reply.
3. Fantasy chuckled happily, and in response she spoke "Well, my stallionfriend, as much as I would like to suggest something different to do, at the moment I can think of nothing better to do than sit here and talk. Seeing as how that's what we've been doing, I should think we've been doing just what we should have been doing." She answered quite joyfully, although she was still ever so slightly tired, so it was very much sincere if not one hundred percent enthusiastic. Feeling as though she should carry on talking, as though silence were taboo for the moment, she continued. "But of course, if you have any suggestions, I'd hate to trample over them."
4. funny story about that... you see, I use too live in 14-b, but then I decided there was this huge mishap involving several elder evils possessing year-old-moldy pudding in my fridge. The resulting battle rendered the place uninhabitable, so I moved. To apartment 13-a.
5. 14-c, actually. Oh wait nonononono... I shouldn't have said that. Ignore that bit about dimension 14-c, nothing more than a flight of fancy. I am actually from here, as in Earth, and not any dimension 14-b, and especially not 14-c. Yup, good 'ol Earth. Nothing wrong with it at all. Yes.
6. Fantasy grinned and stared back just as happily. Upon noticing his blush, she subconsciously matched it and blushed just as much. As she sat there, she began to feel once again a little tired, giving the hour of night, but she was still perfectly willing to stay awake. She didn't want to miss a moment of anything, so she ignored the creeping feeling.
7. Something that pops up with no other purpose than too save the day, or provide an answer to the given problem. For something to classify as Deus Ex Machina, it has too: 1) Completely solve the problem, no half solving it before walking away or anything 2) It must appear as the solution to a priviously unsolvable problem or insurmountable obstacle 3) It must be a completely new element to the problem. Example: Take the classic logic problem of you, your boat, your wolf, your rabbit, and your lettuce, only add a wolf on both sides of the river. Seems impossible to solve without having the rabbit getting eaten, or having the two wolves fight each other, doesn't it? Now imagine Huckleberry Finn happens to sail by the river in his raft, and he decides to help you out, so between the two of you the entire problem is narrowed down to one trip across the river with nothing left behind. Finn is the Deus Ex Machina in this case, because his entire purpose for this puzzle was for him to help you out. Wow, that was far too serious. Hoped it helped you out though.
8. Started the thread here: I figured it would be polite to have it closed unless you said otherwise, so if you would prefer an open thread, just say the word!
9. Silver Lining awoke to find herself on a cloud. Not that she had opened her eyes yet, she had just awoken to feel the familiar texture underneath her. Still a little sleepy, she stretched her legs before standing up and looking at the familiar Cloudsdale skies... "This isn't Cloudsdale..." Silver looked around, and saw no cloud city nearby, so she looked down. Indeed, below her was the city of Trottingham. To no pony in particular, she muttered "Oh dear. Well, looks like I'm on vacation!" With a happy little smile, she began to push the cloud as far down as she dared so as to avoid suspicion then she gently flew down to the ground. Nervously, she touched the earth and made a few unsteady pats at the dirt on the road. Not entirely certain of its solidity, but content enough as is, Silver happily shook her already messy mane, before setting down the road at a slow pace. It wasn't that she wasn't concerned that she had drifted all the way to a different city, and the ground still made her nervous (still too earthy), but she was never one to waste an opportunity. Besides, she barely knew what was around Trottingham. Why not find out? Looking at some of the various stores and what not, Silver trotted around until she came an interesting looking jewelry store. Everything certainly looked well made, and she found herself staring absent-mindedly into the display window. Figuring that was sign enough she should check it out, Silver contentedly opened the door (after puzzling briefly over a door not made of clouds) and stood by the door briefly. "Hello?"
10. I haven't seen it yet, so its still fantastic until proven awful. But if I'm answering this question hypothetically, I would have to say that paragraph where you just had Doctor Whooves show up for no reason at all. Talk about a Deus Ex Machina.
11. Fantasy frowned in thought, before speaking up. "Oh, I was just going to suggest that you should adventure with me every now and then. Not for very long, I had reasoned that much, but I would hate to keep this Moonlight waiting for you. You certainly hold her in high esteem, understandably so. Of course, maybe one of these days I could take a vacation in Canterlot. That 'twould be fun." She smiled enthusiastically, wondering briefly what this Moonlight was like. Obviously nice, but beyond that she wasn't sure. Ah vell. She sighed happily, before adding. "But I suppose I'm focusing too much on what will be. Now is just as good." She rested her head on his shoulder. "If not better."
12. Steampunk music is awesome as background noise.

13. Critique so it could be improved to the point where I'm right, so I wouldn't have to admit I'm wrong. Plus, you'd get an awesome story as a side effect.
14. What exactly would you do in a world where being normal is considered just as abnormal as being strange in the first place?
15. Hmmm... I going to say innocent until proven guilty. So, yes, it was absolutely fantastic in just about every sense of the word. Good job!
16. Question 1) Yeah, that'll probably do it. Kinda anticlimactic, though. Question 2) What else? Buy a DJ, some punch, post some flyers, and throw a PARTY!
17. I must say I enjoyed the film, although I must say I wasn't watching to pick out differences, and it has been a while since I last read the book. That said, I loved the riddle game, and the Great Goblin was fantastic even though he didn't get much screen time. The riddle game, despite my inadequate memories of the book, did play out differently, rather so I noticed it. Can't say I hated the rendition, it was awesome, but that leaves two or three main things I was looking forward not happening won't happen until parts 2 and 3. I really wanted to see Bilbo stab some spiders, and I still cannot wait to see Smaug's taunt. Good Celestia is he awe-inspiring. Heck, Smaug is such a dragon, he's the dragon other dragons wish they could be. My thoughts on the trilogy: I guess I can see why they'd split it, it is kind of an epic romp around Middle Earth I suppose, although three parts may have them stretching out some scenes, so lets hope that they're amazing And my last thoughts: Dr. Watson makes an excellent Hobbit.
18. Goodness me, I just realized I'm rather behind on prepping my Dnd Campaign.

19. Fantasy raised an eyebrow "Oh? I must keep that in mind." She managed to keep a straight face for about 3 seconds before joining his giggle. As it died down, she again glanced up, not so much in thought, but more so from force of habit at this point. Turning her head slightly, she looked towards Darkness as a few ideas ran through her head, as their appearances were inevitable at this point. "Pardon me for dwelling on an old subject, as I know you said you don't spend a whole lot of time in Canterlot, but I'm curious as to what 'a whole lot of time' is. As in, do you go back once a week, once a month, or so on? I know its a bit specific, but trust me, I have a point to this."
20. Again and again, Fantasy found herself blushing tonight, this time being Darkness pulling her close. She would think she'd have gotten used to it, but somehow each romantic gesture exchanged was just as similar as the previous one, right up to the first one. Not to say she was uncomfortable, quite the opposite really. She smiled in turn with Darkness' comment on her flying, before commenting on it. "I can't say I've given much thought on being a pegasus. I suppose having wings would be pretty handy. Still, I must thank you, as your company is just as good." She paused, musing a thought. "Although, I'm starting to wonder if you'd have any problems with uncharted waters. After all, isn't your talent never getting lost? You certainly seem to know what you're doing." She gave a slight chuckle before slightly nuzzling in under his wing, to fit a little more comfortably.
21. Hiya! So, if I'm not too late, I be happy to RP with ya. I myself am looking to get a few more threads going. Looking over your characters, I believe I do have a few ideas. I can see my own Unicorn, Enos Gray, interacting with a few of your Trottingham characters, as he would not object to visiting his birthtown. Enos is bit scatterbrained, so that could play off as an odd first impression I also have a unicorn, Fantasy Tropes, who is incredibly fond of a black witches hat and a matching cape, so that could lead to an interesting encounter with Cosmopolitan, for better or for worse. Lastly, I also have a pegasus, Silver Lining, who is incredibly unfocused, laid-back, and prone to day dreams in between cloud shaping. I figure that coud provide an interesting parallel to an intense Hope Locket. For the sake of including all options, I also have a Griffon (Hugo) available, but I couldn't think of any ideas with him of the top of my head. Feel free to give him a look, if you want. So, yeah, take your pick, or make your own. Either way, I'd be fine.
22. So watched the episode, and I liked it, despite it not being my favorite. Lightning Dust was an actually interesting antagonist, at least to me, because she wasn't going out of her way to be a bully but rather she just wanted to be the best (other people's expense merely overlapped with this), and she also didn't play directly against Rainbow Dash, because it seemed like she did have respect for RD's talent as a flier. She may have been a jerk to the others, and she may have tried to get RD to be a jerk to the others, but she wasn't intentionally a jerk to Dash until she was confronted on her behavior. I do suppose that makes two of RD's 'friends' kind of mean, the first being Gilda. Guess she just attracts the wrong crowd. Also, this may have been the only episode in which I didn't mind seeing Derpy, mainly because I have a hard time seeing her want to go to the Wonderbolt's academy, and it certainly makes sense that she didn't get in. And I had a good laugh at Snowflake chomping the cloud out of existence. Overly-manly Pony YEAH!
23. Sooo... Watched the Hobbit. Certainly not the best movie I've seen, but it was still pretty great.

24. Fantasy smiled as she answered, blushing slightly in turn again at Darkness's peck. She tossed around a few ideas in her head of what to say, then she spoke up. "Well, I guess you could say I'm not used to this, so I guess I am a bit unsure. Everything is uncharted waters here, and while it certainly is wonderful, believe me, I'm never quite sure of what to do." She closed her eyes for a few brief seconds, hoping honesty would help her out here. Stretching out a bit herself, Fantasy stood up herself to better match Darkness' pose.
25. Well let's see... If I review the tapes from the privous night, we can clearly see that the person in charge was none other than.... A robot Abraham Lincoln. Huh. What are the odds? Regardless, I guess I have some good news and some bad news for you: Good news: As a robot, he doesn't to breathe, so you don't need to stop it Bad news: Not breathing doesn't affect him in the slightest. However, if you can make a few calls to the right guy at the electric company, he can cause a localized blackout lasting just long enough to prevent Mr. Robo-Lincoln from recharging his battery, effectively getting the same results. Celestia speed to you.
