hmmm endangering Stitches while locking Darksteel up. That would activate his protective persona, but since he can't do anything... yeah! And silk thread would seriously back up from that. [hit the nail on the head]!

Darksteel becomes protective when faced with failing, raged when faced with stupidity, ignorance, and a better competition, fearful when faced with nothing to do, and sadistic when overjoyed. So to make Darksteel afraid, just put him in a dangerous situation where he has no choice but to curl up WITHOUT introducing competition, danger to somepony else, or making him cocky. Silk is afraid of sleeping. [Note she makes an anti-sleep remedy for herself.] And nightmares.

Gear's ears perked up when he heard 'mysterious client'. "Hey." He told the brown pony. "Would you have recieved a letter from an unnamed customer inquiring about your services? It appears that I, too, have the same arrangements."

Gear nearly took a few stepps when the scent of something caught him. "Do I smell fine metalworking?" He turned and trotted towards the metallic smell untill he found a rusty brown unicorn with various objects floating around him, including a "Crossbow? Why would somepony bring such a fine crafted item-no- weapon, to a peaceful place like Ponyville?" This unicorn was clearly a fine metalworker. Competition!

Gear Grinder stepped off the train and onto the train station. "Where's that little messenger? They all know how to find me..." After no find of his little mechanical messenger, Gear continued into Ponyville. "Ugh, how can somepony expect to personally request ME, out of who knows how many mechanics in town? And they don't even give a name?!" He said, growling. "Oh, well." He sighed. "Guess I better go on, then. Maybe unnamed sender will be out and recognise me."

Name: Dawn Essence Age: Mare Gender: Female Species: Pegasus Appearance: Breif history (Just who they are and why they're there): Dawn likes traveling, as scared as she is. She likes finding 'safer paths around', and is quite good at it. Dawn is most likely going to be miss "It's a trap!"
