Can you draw a slightly younger Maple (not quite a foal or a filly, but, y'know, a little younger), with her vest, voraciously eating a pile of waffles oozing in maple syrup on a red/white gingham tablecloth, in a log cabin? You're awesome! It may seem a tad specific, but it's really only 4 basic elements, and the log cabin bit isn't even necessary.

I made a request for you to draw Gray Lexis before, I know, and that didn't materialize, so I think I'll start there. I think I'll make it a little more specific though. Let's see...

have Gray Lexis sitting at an exceedingly messy, disheveled desk within his book shop, reading a book and looking kind of unamused. Nearby, have Spirt Flame carrying a tall stack of books with her magic, perhaps having dropped some of them; her expression should be kind of distant.

Gray has no existing images of him, unfortunately (this'll be the first time he's been drawn); go off the description I have there and if you have any questions, just ask. Spirit Flame has some nice references on her app though; feel free to go off of those for her.

Could you draw my zebra in a hut similar to Zecora's mixing some medicine for one of Fluttershy's rabbits (Angel is invincible so he can't get sick)? He could be at a desk with random herbs and containers lying around pouring some sort of dust/dried herbs into a mortar and pestle. Fluttershy would be in the background watching him work with the sick rabbit in her hooves.

At the the top of the picture I would like it to say "What's Talkie Buckman's favorite kind of magic?" and at the bottom "MOVIE MAGIC!" and the general body of the picture is a drawing of Talkie Buckman from the neck up with a wide and silly smile on his face. Talkie has a dark blue coat and a long green straight mane (a bit similar in style to Big Mac). Have fun with it, I don't have a too much of a structured vision of Talkie Buckman haha.

Hiya Brained! thanks for doing this, I do have a request.

I would like, my OC Citrus (Pictures for reference are below, but I can provide more if you need) walking along some dingy manehattan street in the pouring rain.

If you can, I would like her to be wearing some sort of dark cloak to fend against the weather, which is flapping in the wind if possible - that would be wonderful.

Oh, Citrus does actually like the rain, so if she's smirking that would be nice as well.

Rain is brilliant, nothing like a bit of mild discomfort to remind you you're alive!

I've decided to limit my to do list to 6 slots, meaning that with the requests above, two slots remain!

I'm gonna break with tradition by getting in on this one on time... I'm definitely up for another drawing, and a line too if that's allowed.

I should have done this months ago, and it's coming up to New Year, so this seems an ideal time to stop procrastinating and actually do stuff.

So, here it is; BrainedBySaucepans' Clinic of Dilettantism!

The rules are simple, make a request and I'll draw it.

Well, it's slightly more complex than that, but not too much. Here's the basics:

1. Make your request as detailed as possible

My psychic powers only work on a specific type of honey bee and certain brands of furniture, so if you want something included in the picture, be specific. It helps if you include reference images of any OCs, and if you have a specific pose in mind, post a pic of something close to it. If you want to give me free reign on how I draw something, that's fine with me, but don't be surprised if you're surprised by the surprise of a surprising interpretation of your request.

2. More ponies = more time = lower priority = even more time

Feel free to make your requests as elaborate as you want, but be aware that this will take longer, and as such I may well choose to focus more on the easier requests. This does mean that I'll have more time to think about how best to complete your request, so it may well end up better than if I'd just focused on it, but no guarantees.

3. One request per person

Please wait for me to finish your current request before asking for another one. Pretty self explanatory I hope.

4. Requests will be uploaded to my gallery

I will sign and date all requests, and I reserve the right to use them elsewhere to showcase my work. I will make sure to credit the owner of all OCs depicted wherever I use them. The person making the request is free to use their piece wherever they wish, as long as they credit me as artist and make no alterations without my permission.

5. My To Do list has 6 slots

Why 6? Why not!

Hi all!

As some of you may know, I'm one of the hosts for the Canterlot Voice podcast (the unofficial podcast of canterlot.com). Recently, we've been putting more RP related content into our show, but we've hit upon a slight stumbling block, in that while we love talking about ongoing RPs, the RP section is a pretty big place, and not all of us are as involved in the RP section as we could be. That's where you come in.

We're looking for two things at the moment; established threads with a high standard of roleplaying, and new threads that have a lot of potential but are still easy enough for people to jump into without reading through pages and pages of what's happened already.

So, this is an opportunity for you to get some exposure for your thread, whether you want to let everyone know about a great new RP you've just started (or are planning to start), or showcase your own (or others') excellent writing, let us know here! We'll go through the thread and if we like it, let all our listeners know that this is one to watch.

Also, we're still fairly new to this whole podcasting business, so we really appreciate all the feedback we get, whether you love the show or think you know how we can improve it. Right, my hiatus/inactivity from Canterlot has just been extended indefinitely, this time for personal reasons. Basically, there have been some massive MLP related issues with my LARP group (don't ask), and it's really coloured my view of the show and the brony community as a whole. This has nothing to do with any of the friends I've made here; you're all wonderful people and I'd love to continue to interact with all of you outside the context of the fandom, but when I sat down to watch the latest episode, all I could think about was the ongoing drama, and I had to turn it off within a minute.

My plan as of now is to take a week-long pony detox, avoiding anything to do with the show. Then I'll sit down, watch an episode and see how I feel. I expect I'll be back to my usual lurking here at that point, but if not, I wish you all the best. This forum has been directly responsible for reigniting my artistic spark, for which I expect I shall be eternally grateful, so I'm really hoping this will all blow over. If not, my best wishes go out to everyone I've every interacted with in this fantastic community, you made me feel like I fit in, a previously unheard of feat. I really hope I won't have to miss this place.

His spirits so buoyed, he fixed a grin to his face and approached the door of Midnight's house. He had just raised a hoof to knock when a frightful crash sounded from inside, as if a hole had just been knocked in one of the walls. Professor Smirk hesitated, considering turning and leaving there and then, before swiftly knocking hard twice on the door so as to avoid changing his mind. This had the unintended side effect of significantly denting the woodwork, and Ashen could only stand stunned at his own accidental vandalism, the ever-present grimace on his face becoming even more fixed.

A bit of a correction though; ROTL 2012 is not an official event as stated in the podcast; like Nightmare Night, it's being run unofficially at the moment. We do hope to bring new official events to you all soon though.

I actually like it quite a lot; my first time playing a Farmville style social game, and the execution seems pretty solid to me.

They need to fix the social elements though; I can't get the Gameloft Social network to work (according to forums I'm not the only one), and I'm hesitant about linking to facebook. For a game like this, not having fully functional social stuff is pretty much a death knell...

You still then have to prove whether Celestia herself is responsible for covering up everything related to the Crystal Empire or if incompetent pony historians are to blame instead. Maybe Equestrian scholars thought the Crystal Empire was just a mere footnote in history or even an outright fabrication?

Then surely Celestia would still be at fault for not trying to get the truth out? Lies of omission are still a form of deception.

However, the evidence presented makes me lean toward Celestia deliberately suppressing information. Note how the guard at the beginning delivers the news:

"I am simply to tell you that... it... has returned."

If Celestia is not suppressing information about the Crystal Empire, why this roundabout way of giving this news, especially since it's so urgent...

I do see your first point... and I do suppose there's nothing wrong with repeating the content...

But on the second point, I'm afraid we are not prepared to make an exception. Gak just isn't something we see in the show (commercials do not count), nor is there evidence that it exists in Equestria. Also, the manner of RP which you describes sounds as if it could possibly potentially annoy some people. I'm not sure this is the kind of thing we would be prepared to allow in the game.

Fine, I bow to your tyrannical ways, and have changed the RP type. It also occured to me that Gak would actually have no way of communicating, since Gak is Gak. I have rectified the summary to reflect this, and am currently seeking another RPer willing to submit an app for the Gak narrator.
