  1. ~Ruby and Garnet Gleam~ Ruby received the note again, and looked at it's contents. Blinking, she set it aside and began to fiddle with her hairpin as she thought to herself in silence. Garnet leaned on one of her hands, looking at Cloud. "So, tell me about yourself. Might as well get to know my date." She winked at him teasingly.
  2. ~Ruby and Garnet Gleam~ Garnet returned Cloud's excited expression. "That sounds lovely. I can't wait till school ends!" Ruby looked away, staring out the window until she noticed Cloud pass her a note. Reading it, she sighed and wrote her reply, passing it back. 'No...I guess we do need to get to know some people if we're going to be here for awhile. Just don't expect anything from me.'
  3. ~On the walls of Canterlot, the eve before the Summer Sun Celebration~ Everything was silent amidst the countryside and dimly-lit city, the moon hanging like a silver crescent blade overhead, and the stars twinkling with the same unending light they always possessed. It was the same tonight as it was every night, the Peace almost never being broken. Tomorrow was the Summer Sun Celebration, one of the biggest events in Equestria, and as a result security had been increased exponentially. Many of the Night Watch, guards who served under Princess Luna, patrolled the skies and streets, keeping the realm of the night under control. A lone, black-armor clad figure stood on the southern end of Canterlot's massive walls, gazing silently at the rolling green hills further down the mountain, the silvery light of the moon making them appear like waves on the ocean. His name was Lunar Cross, Guard Captain of the Night Watch, and a near-alternate version of Shining Armor. While his compatriot was the shield of the day, he was the sword of the night. His yellow gaze searched the countryside atop the wall, constantly looking for any sign of danger. Another guard approached him from the side, his rank obviously lower by the lack of decoration on his armor. The pony saluted Lunar, before speaking. "Captain Cross, all sectors have been secured and the magical wards have been refreshed. Also, all patrols have came back from the outlying countryside." Lunar remained silent momentarily, before nodding. "Very well, call in all guards. Dawn is approaching soon, and we shouldn't frighten the citizens unnecessarily without-" He was suddenly interrupted by a bright, white flash in the sky. When he and the other guard regained their vision, a streak fell across the sky. A shooting star, from the looks of it. But upon further inspection... That's no star...it's something else! The urgent thought was followed by the impact of the 'star' on one of the hills, and he unstrapped his cloak. "Rouse the Watch, Sargeant! Immediately!" The shaken guard nodded slowly, before spreading his wings and soaring off further into Canterlot. Lunar Cross grimaced, his darkened helmet making his visage look fearsome and his facial features lupine. Stepping back a bit, he widened his own black wings before dashing off the walls, flying off toward the impact site of this mysterious 'star'. Like a shadow against the pitch-black horizon, he flew hastily, intent to discover exactly what was going on. After several abnormally long moments, he arrived to what appeared to be a small crater that hummed with magical energy. But what sat at it's center shocked him more than anything else could have. Directly in the middle of the crater lay the inert form of a silver-robed unicorn mare, not a scratch or smudge of dust on her unconscious form. Seeing this, Lunar instantly dove down into the small, warped terrain, and approached the mysterious mare warily, his armor clinking against itself with each careful step. Now that he was closer, he could tell a lot more about the unicorn...and dear Celestia, she was beautiful. She possessed a silky white coat and a silvery mane and tail that matched her dress, a couple studded sapphire earrings, and on the side of her flank that had been slightly exposed was a cutie mark that appeared to be a bow with a background of stars. Gently, he knelt down in front of her and lifted her up, brushing a few strands of gray mane from her face. The mare stirred in his hooves, causing him to flinch a bit, but he didn't set her down as her eyes opened to reveal a pair of sparkling, violet orbs. His throat went dry while she stared at him sleepily, and it took him several moments to raise the strength to speak. "Wh-who...are you, or what are you?" She lifted a hoof and drew his head close, her voice a silken whisper on his ear. "...They come. The Time-Lords come again..." Her head and leg fell back down limp as she slipped into unconsciousness once more. It was at this moment when a patrol of the Night Watch swooped in, along with the sargeant from earlier. "Captain, we came as soon as we could, and...sir, who is that?" Lunar Cross knelt there in silence, eyeing her as if she were the strangest thing he had ever seen. Time-Lords...? What is she talking about? The guard's question drew him from his contemplation, grunting as he lowered the mare gently to the ground and standing up. "I...do not know. Bring her to the Castle, and make sure she is given medical attention immediately. I must talk to the Princesses." Two of the other Night Watch soldiers moved to obey his orders, taking the mare carefully and flying off with her limp form. He followed them, along with the rest of the patrol, his mind fogged by what he had just seen and heard. Something was coming to Equestria...and it wasn't anything good. (Finally! You guys may begin your posts we'll be starting right before dawn, the city preparing for the festivities and the stage for Celestia to raise the sun.)
  4. ~Miss Autumn Sunshine~ She listened to them for a moment before sighing, crossing her arms as her smile slipped. "...just please go inside and sit down. Pinkie, I'd like to speak to you after class, understand? You others...come inside momentarily. Don't make me come out again." Saying what she had to say, she went back inside and began to organize a few papers.
  5. ~Ruby and Garnet Gleam~ The twins blinked at the offer, their surprised expressions exactly the same. Ruby gave a wry smirk before answering; "I don't think that my sister and I-" She was cut off instantly by Garnet, who smiled brightly. "That sounds great, Cloud! We'll take you up on that." Her sister shot her a venomous glance, drawing an innocent grin from Garnet. "...we live with our cousin, Autumn, up in Canterlot Heights...and yes, that teacher over there is our cousin. Oh, look...seems like she's about to explode." The twins looked over to Miss Sunshine, whose face was enshrouded by the shadow under her fedora. This can't be good... ------- ~Miss Autumn Sunshine~ So, this was the class she was supposed to teach this year? A bunch of rowdy, tardy, undisciplined brats?! Already, most of the students just simply walked...walked...right out of her classroom. Something needed to be set straight here. Getting up rigidly from her desk, she strode quietly to the door, opening it and walking outside. Spotting the collection of students, her expression changed to a smile...but that smile didn't reach her amber eyes. "Is there a problem that I need to be aware of, students? Or is this another moment of teen drama?" Her voice was completely flat, no emotion laced into it whatsoever. (Queue evil anime expression! )
  6. (Y'all better finish up soon, 'cuz Miss Sunshine is about to bust a can o' whoop flank on deez rowdy kids...ahem, I mean 'wonderful students' )
  7. You know what? I think she will! Bwahahaha! No more miss nice teacher.
  8. I...am not sure how Miss Sunshine is supposed to react with all these students getting up and exiting class whenever they please what do you think she should do? Employ some...mafia-style discipline?
  9. ~Miss Autumn Sunshine~ She listened as the students answered her question one by one, nodding, and before she knew it one of the 'tardy' students arrived. Autumn eyed Colette a moment before giving an odd smile as the student sat down. "Oh, it's fine, dear. It's your first day...but a light reminder; I don't approve of tardiness. It's one of my...pet peeves, if you will." Letting the warning go, her smile reverted back to it's normal self. "...since this is the first time I'm meeting you all, I should tell a bit about myself, yes? Oh, where to start...any suggestions?" ~Ruby and Garnet Gleam~ Garnet looked over at Puzzle a moment, then realized her hand was still in Cloud's. Flushing a bit, she withdrew it and leaned away. Ruby had simply retreated into her own private world, going back to her sketches and ignoring Cousin Autumn pointedly. Just because she was teacher didn't mean she was the boss of her...and she'll learn that soon enough! Suddenly, Ruby noticed Puzzle eyeing her, and she put her pencil down and looked back at him. "...er, is there a fly on my nose or something?" Garnet reached over and flicked her sister across the nose, drawing a scowl from Ruby. "He just wants to know our names." Despite Garnet's friendly-sounding tone, Ruby still had the frown on her face. Garnet sighed and turned back to Cloud and Puzzle. "I'm Garnet...and the grouch over here is Ruby."
  10. ~Prince Rubyn, the Diamond Halls~ The prince had been striding down the hallway in brooding silence, his black armor clinking against the tile below his hooves. Today was his big day, and yet...why wasn't he happy, much less excited? For some reason, he had a dark, forebodding shadow cast over his thoughts, and he had the vague indication that something wasn't exactly right. Suddenly, he heard a commotion coming from further down the hall, and voices that sounded blurred from distance. Curiosity drove him...he'd have to investigate. Picking up his pace, the night-clad prince continued down the hallways, trying to silence the clammer of his hoofsteps. He stopped at one corner upon hearing a tirade from a very familiar voice. The Black Knight? He sounded very angry...was he yelling at a servant? No, that wasn't it, and it became clear when he heard the general say 'Bel'Rahmane. An intruder, that's what it must be in order to draw out so much rage from the incredible, black-plated stallion. Hurrying onward, it took Rubyn only a moment longer before he appeared several meters away, and looked at the scene before him. Seeing the Bel'Rahmane on the ground, and noticing the Black Knight reaching for his fabled spear within his cloak, Rubyn's eyes widened as he shouted out; "Black Knight, cease!", advancing forward swiftly while he secretively pressed a button on the hidden Qai'Maga next to his right hoof...it will send a distress signal to a nearby Sul'jin, and hopefully suppress the magic-wielding unicorn that laid before him. He barely even glanced at the EVA trooper before locking his gaze with Black Knight. "...stand down, by order of your Prince. The Bel'Rahmane is to be contained...not impaled, understand? He may have fell victim to the temptation of magic...but he is still an equine, no matter what he has done or how low he may have sunken to." Rubyn set his gray-blue eyes on Dusk for a moment, before looking back at the Black Knight, his tone caustic. "...am I clear, General?" ------- ~Silvertongue, within private quarters with Sub-Zero~ The elder stallion only smiled grimly at the 'grandmaster's' disbelief at the event. "It's true, boy. But, it is possible that it could have been an imposter...but highly unlikely, considering his mastery of Ice." When Sub-Zero began to encroach upon Silvertongue, all he did was stare right in the assassin's eyes, not intimidated in the slightest. He'd been through more than most creatures would go through in their lifetimes...good Astral, he had fought bloody dragons before they were pronounced extinct. Whatever this...foal...thought he could do to frighten the veteran Nightinggale, he would be very disappointed. At the mention of a name, Silvertongue burst out laughing at the mere thought. Oh yes, there was a name...but he'd be branded a mad-stallion simply for speaking of it! "Name? The monster didn't have a name, at least not a name that would make any sense to anyone who hasn't studied ancient history, or the Ancient Dialect."
  11. ~Ruby and Garnet Gleam~ "Names, huh? Well, I'm Ruby." The twin with the moon-lit mirror hairpin said. The other twin extended a hand toward Cloud, flashing a smile. "...and I'm Garnet. Nice to meet you." Ruby looked at her sister in surprise, for she was never the one to shake hands. ------- ~Miss Autumn Sunshine~ When the tardy bell wrung out loudly, she got up from her black leather chair and walked over to the classroom door, shutting it gently and then walking back over to her desk. Sitting against the desk, she gave the students a look-over once more before smiling and taking off her hat, her auburn-coloured hair streaming past her shoulders. "Hello, class. I'm Miss Sunshine...but you can call me Autumn if you wish. I think that familiarity improves student-teaching conditions. I am excited to get to know each and every one of you, and I have no doubts that we'll get along just fine, see? Now, before I let you ask any questions...I have one of my own." She paused a bit, tipping her head to the side as she crossed her arms. "What do you all think of Canterlot Prep...? Is it like you expected it to be?"
  12. Sorry guys, the RP-opening is going to have to be delayed a bit longer
  13. ~Ruby and Garnet Gleam~ They watched the other students pour into the classroom quietly, not saying a word. They didn't associate with many others...they only needed each other. It was how it always was, and always will be. Some had assumed that they were...'together', but that wasn't the case, although they sometimes made it appear so as to tease the boys. Ruby took a pencil out of her bag and a sheet of paper, beginning to sketch the buildings outside the window, while her sister Garnet simply hummed to herself.
  14. ~Miss Autumn Sunshine~ She waited patiently as the students began to trickle into the class one by one, her eyes studying each one carefully. Every student learned best a different way...so she would need to pick out important attributes. Seeing Rainbow Dash enter the classroom, she was sort of surprised. If she's here, the other five must be here too...very, very interesting. Next came a pair of red-haired twins, their stylish clothing identical and their appearance the same in every way except for a pair of hairpins. Oh no...not them. Of course those two would be here...her two younger cousins, always getting into mischief and making nuisances of themselves. Still, though, she liked them, if not necessarily wanted them, because they reminded her of herself when she was in High School. She knew they recognized her, but they made nno move for each other. Introductions will be given once everyone arrives.
  15. I'm sorry, but I took your Math spot, Slayer Also, Miss Sunshine's got swaaaaaag.
  16. (Oooh, this is Miss Sunshine's queue! Hehehe...) ~Ruby and Garnet Gleam~ The twins got up slowly when the bell rang, picking up their bags and walking away together towards the door. They spared no glances toward anyone, completely content to keep to themselves, and exited the classroom, heading on to what appeared to be Math class next. ------- ~Miss Autumn Sunshine, Math Classroom~ She leaned back in her specialized leather chair casually, smiling to herself as she heard the bell ring. The first class of the year...wonderful. Plenty of new minds to mold, manipulate, toy with...oh, sorry. Can't get old habits out of her own head! She tipped her fedora downward so that it covered her amber-coloured eyes, her gray and white suit and skirt neatly pressed, and her shoes a glossy black. Setting her legs on her desk, she waited patiently for the new students to arrive. "...this is going to be fun." Miss Sunshine muttered to herself, smiling all the more. Papa Alfredo would be proud. Her thoughts were halted when suddenly a loud crash was sounded, causing her to raise her fedora slightly to look at her classroom to see what it was...a student who appeared to be horrible with magic, it seems. Ugh...parents really should teach their kids how to use their gifts before sending them to school...it wasn't the teacher's job to fix them! "Ahem...I hope you'll be cleaning up the mess you made, kiddo." Her Manehatten accent was thick, and dripping with a subtle warning.
  17. Lol...its funny...one night there's like 50 posts in the RP, and then the next there are none.
  18. ~Silvertongue, within his quarters with Sub-Zero~ The veteran Nightinggale was surprised to hear mention of the assassin knowing Prince Rubyn...and also that he was the 'grandmaster' of the Kori no Yurei. But...how can that be...if he didn't know of the assassination? It occured about ten years ago, and by the looks of this warrior, he was still rather young. Did he simply not know? It was possible. "...greetings. So the Prince sent you in here, I take it. Well, it will be considerably difficult to offer any help to your...clan...as of now, due to the past. But with Rubyn's coronation tonight, he'll have the power to make your whole clan of the High Blood if he so wished..." The cold stallion's bluntness was something to be expected, any warrior was similar in the way they handled themselves. Upon hearing the grandmaster's curious question, Silvertongue gave a cynical grin. "...so you truly don't know? Very well, I'll inform you then. Ten years ago, the Emperor was returning from a project at Coltan's Rest, an excavation. I was with him at the time, as I was the Captain of his guard. However...things changed. We were attacked by a bizarre equine who wore black, blue, and whhite light armor, and bore the symbol of your clan. His skill with Ice elemental magic was extraordinary...encasing the entire guard in a dome of ice. He slaughtered my men one by one, offering no mercy to anyone...except me. He lifted my ruler, my friend, by the throat and said to me; 'Remember this day, Imperial. This is the day you taste your Emperor's blood.'...and as he spoke those words, he slitted Steelir's throat with an icicle, then drove the bloodied cold spear into my chest..." He opened his tunic a bit to reveal a circular scar that looked many years old. "I was the only survivor...by mere luck, as it happened. My most vivid memory is the assassin's eyes...so cold and black...like a Wraith's from those ancient tales." The elder stallion shivered at the memory, and murmured an old saying about the monstrous, equine-like creatures. "The gaze of the Wraiths is death itself." ------- ~Princess Lilith, in the Diamond Halls next to the Crystal Throne~ The gorgeous mare stood there, orchestrating the servants and guards to prepare the ceremonial relics and decorations for her brother's coronation. Her mother, the Empress, had retreated due to urgent matters with the general, Black Knight. Besides, she wasn't needed here anyway. Six ancient creatures stood beneath the throne, one of each race; a Baraki, a Minotaur, a Changeling, a Griffon, a Pegasus, and an Earth Equine. Each was a respected elder of their Houses or societies, and also powerful Sages of the six primary elements. Lunar, Fire, Earth, Wind, Water, and Solar...with Rubyn being the one who represented Magic, the forbidden element. It was almost enough to make Lilith giggle with glee. Black Moon stood quietly next to her, always her loyal servant and guard dog. He never left her side unless she commanded it. Trained to obey her since he was an orphaned foal, he had grown to adore and worship her...something she was quite fond of. One day...the whole Empire, no, all of the world will be the same way. Power and glory was hers for the taking, and only one obstacle stood in her way. Looking up, she saw the ceiling warp and twist until the chamber was completely dark except for the light of blue-fire torches. The Prince of Ravens was the Empire's guardian shadow...the hidden hoof of retribution of the Emperor or Empress. Each one was doomed to die a horrible death, so the scriptures she read spoke of...she hoped Rubyn's came sooner than expected. One of the servants approached and knelt before her submissively, whispering quietly. "Great Princess, the preparations are made, and the Elders are ready. Word has reached me that the Prince will arrive momentarily, and that the rest of the Imperial Family, House High Seats, and important guests have been instructed to appear as well." Lilith nodded, shooing the equine away with a lazy gesture, not even caring to watch as the servant bowed and trotted away. It was almost time...tonight was going to be a big evening indeed. ------- ~Moonais (Arial), within the Imperial Palace~ She wandered the many corridors of the Palace quietly, managing to ellude the constant patrols of guards and servants. Moonais knew she was running out of time...soon, if she didn't make it, the one she'd been searching for twenty years for would be dead. Thinking about that made it all the more urgent to find the pony she sought. The blue jewel on her forehead glowed gently, indicating that a source of potential magic was nearby. Feeling the aura, she continued on, her pace increasing significantly. Faster...faster! The very world was at stake here! Her hooves made silent taps against the elegant tile floors beneath them, her orange-red mane flowing. Behind her as she ran. There was no time to lose.
  19. ~Twilight Sparkle, in the Citadel Courtyard~ (Twilight is a dictator, huh Dopple? Okay...I'll remember that... ) The mare returned Replica's smile. "Oh, has he now? Well, I do have an important question to ask..." Listening to Doppleganger's explanation, she sighed inwardly. There was no other way to do this, it seemed. When he also mentioned a combat resolution against the Crystal Empire, her ears perked slightly. "Truly? Well, I cannot wait to hear it...anything would be helpful at this point. Now to the matter at hand...Replica? How would you like those scars...to go away? I can arrange it." She waited for the little changeling to respond patiently. ------- ~Agent Virginia (Applebloom), Freelancer HQ~ She lifted her head and looked up at Agent Nova, surprised at his sudden appearance. His genuine concern for her was touching, for she really hadn't been an Agent for very long. Still, though, she wouldn't open herself up entirely. "...just dwellin' on the past, Nova. Nothin' more than that...I don't see the Apple family ever gettin' back together and buckin' apples again. I guess that is what makes me sadder than a drunk without ale." Glancing out the window that showed the training room, she saw a few blood stains being cleaned by a few lower-ranked Freelancers, and laughed nervously. "I guess I was too rough on them, huh? Can't really help it...them Shade Corps trainers knew their stuff when it came to makin' our bodies into weapons as lethal as guns." Her eyes clouded a bit, as she mouthed something her drill instructer had once told her; "...only the best for the Federation and the innocent of Equestria...we bleed and commit sin so others don't have to." Contrary to popular belief, Corps agents did have emotions...they weren't valued because of unparalleled loyalty. They were valued because of their patriotism towards their country, and willing to take on the burdens no one else could handle. She remembered what one of her friends in the training camp had told ber before he died, about his wish to spare others of the unfortunate fate his family suffered in the Great Purge. Thinking about those times made her shiver...it was over and done with. She fulfilled her obligations, that is why no other Operative had been sent after her. "Nova...do ya mind if I ask you somethin' important? Or rather, tell ya somethin' that has been troublin' me for...a very long time? You've been one of the kindest folk here, so...I feel I can trust ya." ------- ~Rainbow Dash, within the 'Harmony's Rest' bar in Equinia with Chronarch~ As they went inside the bar, they fell witness to a delightful sight. Dozens of patrons sat among the many tables and bars, laughing and carrousing without a care in the world. The walls and floors were painted to look as if the entire place was built on a cloud, with blue skies and beautifully drawn avians above. Why, things were so peaceful and friendly in here that even a few pairs of G.E.F. and R.L.F. troopers were having drinks together, hollering at jokes and stories they shared. Rainbow Dash couldn't help but smile...this is how things should be; complete harmony. "Let's go find a seat, okay? I'm rather parched!" Nudging him playfully, she set off toward one of the many lined up bar sets, talking to one of the bartenders who gestured to one of the booths against the wall. Nodding to him and saying thanks, Rainbow Dash waved to Chronarch to follow and continued on toward the white-cushioned booth, scooting in and resting against the cloud-soft furniture. Why, if she didn't know better, she would have thought they were real clouds!
  20. ~Ruby and Garnet Gleam~ Garnet lifted her eyes and nudged Ruby a little, making her look up at her sister, then behind to Cloud as he spoke his question. "Um...nothing really important. A few introductions, late arrivals, and then a bubble that blew up half the classroom. You're safe." Garnet smirked. "Figuratively speaking, of course." Ruby giggled in spite of herself, glancing at the teacher.
  21. Hmm...excellent questions, Starbuster, and I'll address each one. Q1. Your OC's do not need to already know each other, they can be meeting for the first time if you wish. However, if you do want some pre-established connection, please bring it up with the person you wish to do it with and get their approval/opinion. It's a coincidence (or fate?) that everyone is getting together in Canterlot. Q2. As for posting order...I would like to say atleast one post a day (for it keeps the boredom away ). More can be made if they are relevant. Q3. We'll be discussing story-points and future events within the OOC, that I can assure you of Q4. I agree, no one-liners pretty please...that kills RPs quicker than trolling. Q5. If someone among the Mane Four quits, then a replacement will be made (and some derpy explanation of what happened to them, like them not actually being a hero of legend etc.). If more apps come in, I'll probably accept them if they are good, so we can have more variety. I'll probably make the initial post of the RP by the end of the night, so please be patient!
  22. ~Ruby and Garnet Gleam, in Chemistry Class~ The twins sat silently in the back of the class, hardly paying any attention to the other students. Sitting next to each other, they passed back and forth a small blue ball out of boredom, only sparing the occasional glance to the front of the class. Ruby, the twin with the star-lit mirror hairpin, changed the ball's colour to purple as it arrived to her sister, Garnet's, lap. Garnet did the same as she passed it back, changing to back to blue. "...I hope something exciting happens soon." Ruby sighed boredly, Garnet nodding in agreement. "It doesn't help that we don't know anyone here...that'd make things more entertaining." Something drew their attention as they turned to see the large bubble drift into the middle of the class and blinked in surprise. "Uh oh..." Was all they managed to say before it exploded, drenching the floor and a few other students in chemicals. Miraculously, nothing got on them. Ruby watched for a few more moments before smirking. "...well, that gives me an idea." Garnet's eyes sparkled as she leaned in. "Hehe...really? Do tell..." The twins whispered to each other excitedly, once again oblivious to the other students and teacher.
