  1. Lighting was amazed by how real the oath felt, how it was felt like it really was now entwined with his very soul till the end of time. He blinked a couple of times, hoping the light show was not just his mind playing tricks on him. The expression on the crowd's faces was proof enough. The colt rubbed his eye, checking if his sharingan was still working. He looked around at the other novices, they were clearly amazed by the sheer magical power of the oath as well. Rumour had it Twilight Sparkle herself had made it. He took a step forwards nervously, looking up at Cloudmane with determination in his good eye. "So, when do we start?" He questioned.
  2. Lightning snapped to Cloudmane and Tundra as they spoke, a small smile adorning his face. In truth, he thought speeches and the like we're a tad silly, even if they were traditional, but had prepared his own just as well. Soon enough, it seemed like it was his turn. With a clear voice, Lightning spoke his oath. "I swear to uphold justice in all of Equestria, and act as a link between pony and dragon kind, both physically and spiritually, remaining an equal in both races." Lightning looked up as he finished, hoping he hadn't done too bad. Well, nopony was glaring at him, so it was a start.
  3. Lightning barely noticed Reina until she spoke to him, as he was daydreaming again. "Oh uh... Hi I guess. Lightning Shadowgarb." He blurted out, a bit surprised. The colt shook his head and blinked a few times, clearing the cobwebs from his head. He raised his eyebrow at the giant warhammer she was carrying on her back, but then noticed that she was staring at his eye. "It's nothing. I just...... Prefer to keep it covered." In truth, Lightning hated his Sharingan eye. It had caused him nothing but grief throughout his entire life. Nopony wanted a red eyed freakish monster of a colt anywhere near them nowadays anyway. He then tried to re-focus on the present, turning his attention back to Reina's warhammer. "You lug that thing everywhere? It's huge." He asked, slightly impressed at how mobile she was even while carrying the burden. Lightning could fight with one, but he was more skilled with lighter weapons like daggers and short swords.
  4. A knife was thrown, and it hit it's target. Blood poured from the target's chest. His chest. Lightning was shaken awake by his friend, reminding him that he was expected somewhere. He must have been daydreaming again. The black colt stood up swiftly and made his way towards the ascendant's circle. As he trotted down the street, he received some cautious and wary glances from nearby citizens, of course, a spikey haired colt with a headband pulled over his left eye was not a normal sight in this part of town. Soon enough, Lightning reached the circle. As the crowd's eyes fell on him though, there was less than a welcome in store. Murmurings of dissent rang through the gathered audience, how did this colt end up getting accepted into the order? Lightning however, simply ignored these remarks, sighing and putting on a blank expression as he began the walk into the world famous landmark. He noticed two other novices here, a dragon and.... Well, that was the colt that he had heard about, nicknamed 'the heartless.' He cleared his throat, a little nervous, and walked over to join the other two.
  5. Post edited, He can now see outta his sharingan eye. Sry Conward XD
  6. Just be glad I didn't say he lives in ninja town. Besides, I only gave him Kakashi's sharingan, and not the ****eload of other abilities he has.
  7. 2 blind chars??? And lol fermata, I don't even like the show, I think it's terrible. But Kakashi is one of the only cool characters.
  8. Dang lol, Conward stole the blind char spot. Well, I cooked this up instead. Bonus muffins to anypony who can figure out who I based him off. Name: Lightning Shadowgarb Gender: Male *Race: Pony (unicorn) **Age: Colt, soon to be a stallion Appearance: He is a dark grey colour, with spiked white hair. Always wears a navy blue headband which covers left eye. Personality: Lightning is quite a relaxed, level headed colt, never acting out of line. He tries his best to calm his friends down in most situations, and has very good skills as a negotiator. If it does come to blows though, Lightning can turn into a cold and calculating fighter, using his opponents weaknesses against them in any way. He also has a very special left eye, which he keeps covered most of the time. But when he needs it, he wil lift his headband and use his Sharingan, a magical disability which colour-blinds the eye, but alows the pony to predict the moves his of her oponent will next throw at him. Motivation: Lightning doesn't really have a motivation, but he does want to get into the academy and become a scaleheart, a fantasy of his since he was very young. Skills: He is very good at hoof to hoof combat, a surprising quality from a unicorn, and copying the moves of others. He will use his magic to help him though, but normally only for mundane tasks, but will normally use it a lot when he doesn't want to be seen. As well, as normal fighting, Lightning is very good at stealth attacks, hence his name. Also a very good negotiator. Cutie Mark: His cutie mark is a black circle with a red line through it, signifying his sharingan. Background Story: Lightning was born into a very poor family, barely managing to survive off of the scraps they could eat. Soon enough, Lightning became of age to start his thieving career. He was very good at his art, managing to dissapear into the shadows nearly every time he was caught, which was rare at the least. But as he got older, more advanced heists came his way. Unfortunately, he got himself involved with the wrong ponies. He was hired to steal something from a big corporate pony, which he succeeded in doing, but came home to find his parents dead, and his home razed to the ground. From then on he vowed to never steal again. Until the recent festival of roaring skies, he was living in an orphanage. He impressed the judges with his abilities, especially his Sharingan, and even managed to sort out a heated argument between a stallion and a dragon before it turned ugly. Lightning now awaits to see if he got in.
  9. Ah, that makes more sense, I got the Johnson feel from his militaristic attitude.
  10. Free groaned as Baxter denied his order. "Baxter, this is Twilight's fault, she'll only put the blame on us when all this is over." Free sighed, knowing how stupid he sounded. He switched his comm to the faction wide frequency. "All units, belay my previous order on falling back. Help out with the rescue effort as much as you can." Free then switched to his squads channel. "Applejack, I want you spearheading the rescue efforts. I have other matters to attend to." Free spoke into the comm, walking into an alleyway and leaning against the wall. "Yessir." Applejack spoke from the other end, but Free then turned off his radio. He needed to clear his head. Over the past two hours, peace negotiations had failed catastrophicly, the capital of Equestria had been bombed, and Twilight had told that not even the most magically powerful beings in existence could shatter her magic. Only one unicorn had surpassed the princesses magic, and that was..... Free's eyes widened as he realized the truth. "Twilight is the Red Fox. Twilight. Red Fox." He had to say it multiple times to believe it. Of all the twisted schemes, of all the greatest betrayals...... That mare...... What had happened? Suddenly, he was overcome with rage. Twilight had destroyed Canterlot, Twilight was responsible for the thousands of lives lost in the war, Twilight had forced him to watch Luna's death...... Twilight was going to die by his hand.
  11. Oooh mah gosh I just thought of the most badass char for that dragonheart rp. What does a unicorn use to see if she is blind? XD
  12. Free narrowed his eyes on Twilight. Now was the chance to make everything right, all of the death and destruction that had happened. But strangely, he couldn't find the strength to do it. "Another time Ms Sparkle, another time....." Free said to her, ignoring Trixie's threats. Without another word, he turned and began to walk off, ushering Striker on with him. "Call in all our forces, tell them to get the hay out of Equinia. The city is the GEF's problem now." He said quietly, not wanting Trixie to hear. It seemed a bit cold hearted at first, but after realising Twilight's goals he had changed his mind. "As far as we are concerned, we were never here." Free finished in a stern tone, now wanting some payback for whoever framed him.
  13. I say dragonheart, cuz I can't do comedy AT ALL. But it's your rp Val XD
  14. Free frowned, so he wasn't the only one hearing this mocking voice. He turned to Striker with a nod, agreeing with what he was saying. "So somepony wants us all dead eh......I can deal with that." He glared over at Trixie, chuckling a bit. "So we are meant to give you medical attention? What have you done for us?" He shook his head, turning back to Striker. "Striker, rally the troops, we have a rescue effort on our hands. He looked over at the director, sighing slightly. "Thanks for helping me out back there." He said, holding out his hoof to shake with the mysterious stallion. "And I'm sorry I went against our previous agreement, I had a change of heart. Peace sounded like the easier way to get this war over with." He looked the director in the eye, a look of sincerity adorning his expression.
  15. "This can't be good." Free muttered as the director of Freelancer walked out in front of him and Twilight. He raised his eyebrow at the director's words, a bit surprised he would stick his neck out for him after he had abandoned their previous agreement in favour of peace. Those armoured agents were with him as well, armed to the teeth as usual. "Not even Celestia and Luna could shatter my magic!" As Free heard this, he frowned. How could she know that? Before he had a chance to ask, Twilight toppled to the floor. He dropped to her side and checked her pulse, expecting foul play from the Freelancers. Thankfully, she was still breathing. "She's just blacked out, nothing serious." The stallion stated blandly, getting up and taking a step towards the director, narrowing his eyes at the mysterious figure. "Did you know this would happen? What did she mean by only a small group of creatures could have done this?" He questioned, wanting some answers. "Who set me up?"
  16. Free spun around to face Twilight, frowning at her accusations. "What?" He said sternly. Wait..... This was her foal? He instinctively reached for his knife, but found nothing. Gulping, he narrowed his eyes at her. "I didn't do this, I was running to help him and....." He trailed off, his eyes widening as he realized what had happened. "I've been set up. I didn't nuke the city or kill your foal for bucks sake, somepony framed me. There is no explosive residue, so the attack must have been magical." Free stepped back, preparing to run if he had to. He had not only just managed to get himself framed for the murder of thousands, but he had also pissed off the most powerful unicorn in all of Equestria. "You have to believe me. I'm innocent!" He said, but knowing the grief stricken mare would not listen.
  17. (phone post) Applejack neared a burning building, banging on the door and yelling, "Anypony in there!?" She was answered quickly by a distressed mare. "Help! We're trapped In here!" Applejack nodded shouting "Stand back!". She breathed in deeply, then kicked the door in, hurrying the mare and her foal out. Just in time as well, as the interior of the building collapsed shortly after. Free was running when he heard a final, rasping scream. He sprinted towards the noise as fast as he could, not noticing when his hood fell off. He reached the source of the screaming, just outside the wreckage of the citadel. Free gulped as he saw an azure blue colt, with yellow highlights in his hair (Not twi's foal, but close.) lying dead in the street, impaled by a bar of metal. "Oh gods......" Free whispered as he stood over the dead foal. What he didn't realise was that Twilight was just turning the corner to him.
  18. Just imagine a 10ft long electric eel being fired at you at great speeds though.... There goes my sleep.
  19. (posting from phone) Free gulped as he considered the facts. No casings, no explosive residue, that left only one option: magic. "It could have been an explosive magic of some kind." He frowned, putting on his cloak and pulling his hood over his face. " Frost and Applejack, help survivors. Striker, try to find out who or what did this. But all of you, stay out of sight if you come near any GEF agents, we don't want them getting suspicious of us. They may think we caused this catastrophe. " Free said coldly, his years spent as a commando kicking in. "Meet back here in three hours for extraction. Good luck everypony." Without another word, Free turned and galloped off towards the sound of somepony screaming.
  20. Free frowned as he was awoken by Cadence. He must have dozed off. "I don't know....." He replied quietly, looking out the window towards Equinia. The city was in flames. "Get a unicorn team out here stat! Applejack, Striker and Frost to me!" He yelled, quickly taking control of the situation. "What's goin' on sir?" Applejack asked frantically. "Equinia's been attacked, we're going to help." Free said as he strode up to his nearest unicorn. "Equinia. And step on it." The stallion commanded. Nodding, the unicorn fired up his magic and teleported Free into the chaos. "Gods....." He said out loud as he saw the sheer destruction and chaos.
  21. Free nodded, chuckling slightly. "I'm not expecting you to enjoy it. Just cozy up to them a bit." The stallion finished, returning to his state of brooding from earlier. His thoughts quickly turned to the Mantis program the RLF had set up. An army of near-indestructible war machines, that would be able to swiftly turn the tide of any battle. That technology he had gained from his deal with Freelancer had proved to be invaluable....... But maybe too much so. If the other factions heard of even the slightest rumour of Free's plans for Mantis, they would all vie to get their hooves on it. Free shook his head, hoping it wouldn't come to that. Applejack stepped back and frowned as Chrysalis interrupted her conversation with Cadence. The mare grumbled under her breath as she trotted away slowly, before looking over at Rainbow Dash. A sharp twang of pain hit her insides as she remembered times before the war, when the rainbow-maned Pegasus had been a good and honest mare. Sighing, Applejack nearly looked away from the scene, but then saw another familiar face. "Fluttershy........?" The mare whispered under her breath.
  22. (posting from phone) Free took Striker's hoof and pulled himself up, still a bit woozy. "I'm fine captain, I just lost my balance for a second. Now, I need you to do something for me." Free replied, putting on a stern voice. " You see chancellor Rainbow Dash and the other officials? I need you to get friendly with them, see if you can root anything out from them about their plans." Free asked told the captain.
