Well, you quit on P&Sw/G exactly one episode before it got better. The introduction of the demon sisters actually marks the point where i began to enjoy the series as opposed to just like it.
The humor is not for everyone, but then again, it was a breath of fresh air to watch an anime which wasn't about an Emo teen who has to save the world by believing in his friends or an insane person murdering other people because "the world sucks/my friend died/imma clone waaaah"
Then again, i did watch a lot of simpsons, futurama, family guy and south park... which is pretty much the sort of humor they are emulating.
Oh, one pieceis great. Much more watchable than the junk that is popular nowadays.
Ranma 1/2 is to comedy/shipping anime what Dragonball Z is to "stare at your opponent and scream" anime. You need to watch it sometime.
Oh, and i just remembered some animes that i enjoyed.
There is Heroman, which stan lee worked on and is not based on any old franchise. Anything 100% new that is also good earns a million points in my book.
Hajime no Ippo was godly. It's the only fighting anime where the action is fluid and somewhat realistic. And it NEVER degrades into super powered fights. Heck, the shipping is subtle on this series. What anime has subtle shipping anymore? Oh, and no fanservice. NO FANSERVICE! God, was that anime good.
I might give Panty and Stocking another chance someday. I just don't remember laughing at any of what I saw. I have a kind of strange sense of humor sometimes though, so it's probably just me.
I like a lot of modern anime. It can be just as good as the classics or better.
I should probably try Ranma 1/2 someday. it always sort of interested me. It was just already kind of old by the time I heard about it and I never got to it.
I thought about watching Heroman, but just never did. I'm not really sure why.
And absolutely no fanservice? My interest is killed. A good anime needs a little.

I just couldn't get into Panty and Stocking even though I wanted to. It looked really nice, and there was a lot about it I did like. The humor was just too crude for my tastes. I gave up on it after like five episodes.
I couldn't get into One Piece either, actually. I think that might have to do more with it being the original English dub that I tried to get into though...
I've read a very small amount of the manga version of Ranma 1/2 and that seemed pretty good at least... even if I didn't ever look at any more.

I am. Anyone else?
If so, what are your favorite series?
I've seen many anime series and I'd say my personal favorite is Puella Magi Madoka Magica.

Heh. These are some of my favorites:
Fire Emblem
Valkyria Chronicles
Tales of
Valkyrie Profile
Castlevania
Disgaea
BlazBlue
Soul Calibur
Final Fantasy (at least sometimes)

Edit: Decided to completely rewrite this post. Yeah. I figured I should actually describe the fics I wrote.
I've been a fanfic writer for years now, so obviously when I started getting into FiM the fanfic ideas started coming. My passion has always been f/f romance fics. This hasn't changed with FiM. All of these are f/f shipping fics involving the Mane cast. None of them are clopfics or anything like that. It stops at just cute romance.
I've written three so far. They are all available on both fanfiction.net and deviantART:
An Entwining of Hearts: This was the first one I wrote. It's just a oneshot. The ship is my absolute favorite ever, Rarity/Dash. There isn't much plot beyond the two just realizing what they mean to each other. Still, I think it's cute. deviantART link. Fanfiction.net link.
Blossoming: My second story. It's three chapters and an Applejack/Fluttershy story. The basic plot is that all of Fluttershy's friends keep asking things of her, which makes her become flustered. She eventually runs into Applejack who seems to be the only one willing to listen to her and help her. deviantART Chapter 1 deviantART Chapter 2 deviantART Chapter 3. Fanfiction.net link
Friendship is Magic; Love is Confusing: My third story. It's a two chapter Twilight/Pinkie story. The plot to this one is that Twilight is bored one day, so she decides to do research on one thing she has never had any experience with: romantic dating. After making a complete fool of herself, she finally finds one pony just crazy enough to say yes. deviantART Chapter 1 deviantART Chapter 2. Fanfiction.net link.

I voted for Luna and Gilda. Mostly because they're designs are just so cool looking to me. Sure, Luna hasn't done anything yet and Gilda doesn't have the most agreeable personality, but they stand out to me.
Trixie is cool too.

This is very hard for me. "Winter Wrap Up", "Art of the Dress" and "At the Gala" are all just so infectious it's difficult to pick between. If pressed, I'd probably pick "Winter Wrap Up" though. It's pretty close to perfect.

Applejack is the best pony to me. I just love her personality and her look.
Rainbow Dash is a close number two and Rarity an even closer number three.
-
Applebuck Season is the best of those in my opinion. Considering my avatar, that shouldn't surprise too many though.
I've always loved the first episode too though. It does a good job introducing the characters.

I first heard about the ponies back in February. A friend of mine mentioned how he liked the show; it didn't seem very unusual for him to like it, but I didn't think I'd ever be into it. I heard about it again when my sister started getting into it. Again, her being into it wasn't all that unusual to me; what was kind of unusual though was that it was her boyfriend who had introduced her to it. Still, I didn't even think about watching it.
A month or so later, I read "Cupcakes", out of curiosity after it was posted on a site I frequent and thought that was pretty weird. Still, I didn't investigate what it was based on. It wasn't until the end of May, when one of my other friends, and this time someone I never would have thought would be into a My Little Pony show said he was into it that I decided to investigate.
I was hooked from the first episode. Watched the whole series in two days. Then I spent a whole other day exploring youtube for fan videos. A couple weeks later I was completely obsessed and even writing my own FiM fanfiction.

You must also pass the psychiatric evaluation.
(pst... You can cheat by hiding your medical records.)
Psychiatric evaluation, eh?
Good to know. I'll keep that in mind.

Yeah. I noticed that when I looked at the rules. I understand entirely.

Thanks for the welcome. I hope to have fun.
1. Do you plan to participate in our sweet and loving RPing section?
2. Do you RP at all?
I've RP'd on forums in the past. Those forums that were smaller and more private than this though. Still, even if I am kind of not very experienced with RPs, I definitely say I'll probably end up trying it at some point.

Hello, fellow bronies.
I've been hopelessly obsessed with Friendship is Magic since I watched it all a little under two months ago. I was hoping to get a little more involved in the FiM community, since it seems so great. I've already written a few fanfics, but I thought I might as well join a FiM forum as well. Of all the ones I looked at, this one looked the best to me.
I hope to have fun here.
Favorite Episode: Round 1, Poll 2

Suited for Success is an all time favorite of mine. The episode that made me really fall in love with Rarity.
Friendship is Magic Part 2 was my second choice. It just really goes a long way in defining the characters. And it has Luna.
