I think you're kind of taking this topic off point, Silver.

People only see Autumn the admin doing admin things, not her as a person. There's no reason at all to fear the staff here; we exist to help and support the users, not find ways to make them miserable or afraid.

Honestly, this was not my intention. I swear, I love and respect the the staff and everyone who contributes to this site.

While I understand that (hopefully) no one abuses their powers as a staff member, I can't help but wonder, What if they did?

It could either be hilarious, or terrifying!!

I think people commonly make the mistake of thinking administrative action, bannings, warnings and ranting etc is the result of anger and pure 'table-flippage'.

What it actually is, in my case anyway, is passion.

Pure and simple.

So I do have a right to be scared?

I'm proud and passionate about the things I and my friends and colleagues have built and will act to defend it.

Even if it's an unpopular action, it'll be in the greater interest of the site that I take action over blatant rule breaking etc.

I'll take the flak and accusations and insults so the site can be as close to Mane and I's original vision of having a clean managed site that even Hasbro themselves would look on favourably when observing all the obscene things others are doing with their intellectual properties.

So yes. I'll remove a mouldy apple from the fruitbowl.

And people may hate me for doing so because they don't mind eating food past it's 'best before' date.

But the other fruit can then enjoy the pretty bowl without fear of being infected...

Think of it this way... in the past some people would be terrified of people because of the colour of their skin. They'd cross the street, if they saw them coming towards them, so they could pass in what they felt was safty.

I know this feeling. It doesn't happen to me very often, but I know what it's like.

How do you think that kind of thing would make someone feel to be viewed on in such a way, particularly for no reason?

Honestly, I'm scared of just about the entirety of the staff. But not in the way I'm scared of spiders. More of I'm scared of what you all / they think of me. But that's a story for another time.

If you're feared by your subjects, it would be easier to control them. Kind of like "Do as I say or you're permabanned!!" They may dislike it, they may find it humorous. Who knows?

If you're loved, they may take it for granted. Sure, they may like you a heck of a lot more, but it may be harder to keep everything in order.

So, what would it be? Love or fear?

1. How reliable are the World and Lore Archives? To my knowledge, the World of Equestria thread is the most relevant. Save for the C. Empire.

2. What from it is still considered board canon? Like the Unicorn Magical Aptitude Test (UMAT)?

3. Will it be updated? Last time something new was added to it was when Crystal Ponies became board canon.

5. Instead of relying on the old lore, should I just make OC's according to Mane RP's rules instead?

After a freak accident, Apple Bloom goes to the hospital, fearful of have breaking a bone or something. Later, she runs out the hospital running to and fro, showing everypony an x-ray of her and screaming "The docter showed me my cutie mark!! I'm going to be a paleontologist!!", not realizing that she was seeing her bones, not a cutiemark.

My youngling OC, Dawn, would love to be a Princess ruling over the foals baby sitter.

Slightly unrelated rant:

Gender labeling and such can end poorly if done incorrectly. For my most recently approved OC, he's very feminine in his physical appearance. And he's of the magic kind so I named him "Poof"... Our lovely time wizard, Phil, brought it to my attention that. "Poof" was unsuitable because of "other connotations of the word not related to disappearances". So I had to change the name...

Why am I sharing this with you? Because I'm still mad about it...

And because this is a (poor) example of how you should be careful when giving a name to an object in question. Don't want to accidentally offend anyone.

I don't mind either way. If we do end up with an EQG Sub, I would personally just see it as every human high school themed RP in the convienience of one thread. Would it get anymore diverse than that?

I haven't seen EQG yet, but I know I may change sides after watching it. So I think we could've waited longer to have a poll like this. Opinions on this could be heavily influenced by opinions on the movie, instead of the idea for roleplay.
