  1. Welcome to the forums :}

I understand the feeling of being pulled into a "kids show" and feeling a little bit embarassed, or even awkward about how it could happen; but the overwhelming truth seems to be that most viewers for MLP FiM are somewhere between 20-26. So, truly, you are among bronies and friends :3 Faust has won us all over with her clever concepts and somehow addicting style; and the MLP brought the characters to life with their personalities and well spent talents. In this case, I think the show is well designed to the point its enjoyable for all ages- I would take a gamble that anyone who outright dislikes the show, likely hasnt taken the time to give it a chance.

Make yourself comfy here! As soon as you get to 5+ posts, the other features of the board should open up to you; so feel free to introduce yourself to others, or welcome others as well. As soon as your able to post in our applications section, you can also submit a character sheet to get your pony approved (if you have one in the works) for the RP sections of the site.

We'll definitely have you, and I hope you find your stay here as positive and enriching as I have. Glad to have you on-board!

  2. Welcome to the forums Millie Panillie!

I remember a lot of the shows you mentioned in the early 90's; a lot of that inspired me to be an artist as I entered high school; glad to know someone else appreciated them too :3 I look forward to seeing your art, we have a lot of users here who are submitting their own works of art, it'll be nice to see you among them.

  3. Hey there, welcome to the forums!

Wow, you've got quite a start here, great! I love the idea of newspaper delivery pony, looking forward to seeing that in action :3

Before anypony can RP in our RP sections however, they have to get their character approved in our Equestian Characters section on the board index. Since you've got so much already planned out here, you should take a look at the application form in the applications section, there are a lot of easy helpful instructions, but if you have any questions don't be afraid to ask.

Once again, welcome to the boards, there is a lot here to get involved with, so don't be afraid to jump right in.

  4. My favorite pony is Applejack, hence why I bought the toy of her. *Is atop monitor right now.*

I'm excited to meet other people who are fans of this great series and possible even make a few

of my own ponies to contribute if there are any RP related threads now or in the future. :3

Hello there, and welcome to the forums :} If your looking to meet others excited about the show, you certainly came to the right place :D

We do have quite a few RP sections with RPs going on in them right now, but before jumping into the fray, be sure to post up your character application in the applications board and get it approved to go! I'll be looking forward to seeing you around the board :3

Applejack is also my favorite ;3

  5. Hello and welcome to the forums :}

Looking forward to seeing you in the RPs!

  6. I think Twilight was being personally tutored by Celestia. Perhaps Celestia wanted something more to do with the Equesterian populace, so she took on a student as a side project. Also, if she is buddy-buddy with a regular member of society, it can help her see from the eyes of regular pony, someone who is among the people. She can be closer to her subjects, without intruding into their daily lives.

That seems to be a very commonsense answer; it seems to fit the series best too as it doesnt assume anything out of the ordinary, or hidden motives. I think i'm personally hung up with the idea of Twilight being groomed as a successor, all because of that art of 'princess' Twilight.

  7. This always brings Twilight's role back into question- just exactly what is she a student for? To succeed Celestia entirely? Or, a student of magic alone? How many students does Celestia have?

Well, Twilight's friends could be students as well, but that doesn't mean they were taught by Celestia. Having multiple students would be tough for her, since she also has to rule over Equestria and handle any major problems that come up. She's not a exactly a teacher, she's a ruler.

Is it any coincidence that Twilight is the time before the sun rises and after the sun sets, but when it's still light out? :D;)

I think the name implication and the student status is why people see Twilight as the next potential ruler of Equestria; because she seems the bill.

Celestia says "Twilight, my most faithful student," that's why I wonder the context in which she's speaking. Is that just another way of her to say subject? or... what exactly? She lived in Canterlot with Celestia, she was studying magic, just we dont know to what end :3

  8. @Manestream

I thought it only proper to serve up a decent introduction. It's good to know something about someone right off the bat, in order for you to get an idea of the sort of person that they are. :D

I like it when people are thorough :3

Though, I think you did twice as well as I would have done introducing myself xD

  9. Friend's recommending and posting videos of it to me. I decided to sit down and watch the show. Both I and my brother's love the show and have all become bronies. The first episode I saw was, "Suited for Success". Afterwards I watched the series In order on youtube.

I must say this show restored my faith in western animation. I haven't been too fond of most cartoons these days and this one is the best one I have seen in years. I'm excited for the next episode and hope this series lasts a while.

Cross your fingers and hope for a few more seasons :3

  10. That would be an interesting concept, even if I doubt the Alicorns will be explored in such a way in the series. It would almost be like Battle Galactica that way where the Lords of Kobal are all gone and humans basically take over and run everything themselves. In Equestria's case, Unicrons for the delicate and sophisticated jobs, Pegasus for the weather and the sky, and Earth ponies for the land and food.

I know that there is no pre-history due to ease of management, and the series has to start somewhere, so a lack of history doesn't mean its not known to the ponies, but rather its not relevant to the current story at hand; but that logic aside, the 'lost history' always makes such an interesting place for story generation. And really, where are the other alicorns? What was Celestia's/Luna's mother/father like? who raised the sun and moon before them? Or 1000 years ago the beginning of Equestria, and nothing existed prior but untamed lands with neither day or night?

That is also a cool idea, as it is possible they would become weary of their current responsibilities, it make also be physically draining over the centuries. The idea of moving on to a quiet life as matriarchs and passing the responsibilities off to offspring is a cool one. Maybe soemthing that only happens every thousand years or so?

Mayhaps. This always brings Twilight's role back into question- just exactly what is she a student for? To succeed Celestia entirely? Or, a student of magic alone? How many students does Celestia have?

  11. Spyro the Dragon was the first game I ever played, So it's obvious that It would eventually become my favourite game.

Anything else you want to know about me?

I remember Spyro, but I only got to see it when at other people's places. I did own a super nintendo, and played a lot of yoshi's island :3

Anything that your willing to share, but dont strain yourself!

  12. I wish I was in college for archaeology/anthropology, but my rheumatoid arthritis and incompetent doctors are making such ambitions difficult to achieve.

    Dont give up!

What do you want to do with that archeology/anthropology degree your going to earn someday?

  13. Ya I guess that's what I was going for unintentionally. But I was going for a son that looked like her but had some personality traits that where different.

Its really cute :3 I think I'll get started on my own tomorrow~

  14. In chocolate pudding? Well I never...

now i'm going to have to try it.

But honestly- one of the best things i've ever had are some pear halves sliced a few times, cottage cheese, and yogurt of choice. It is the healthiest, most wonderfully sweet delicious desert ever. Its pretty amazing.

  15. I like all fruit- especially pineapple.

The only one I dont like as much are apples; I enjoy the taste, love the juice, and I can eat them sliced, and occasionally, very occasionally, whole. But they usually give me a stomach ache :\
