He smiled down at her. "I humbly request you stay, as my personal guest to the host club." He said calmly.
-
Applejack looked over the menu and ordered, handing it back to the waiter. She took a sip of cider, and put some jam on a roll before offering it to Flashbomb.
Meanwhile, elsewhere in Canterlot...
"Haha! I cant believe it! After all this time, I have her!" Forte said to himself. He knew that he didnt actually have her, but the concert that night was a special one. All of the songs featured him as a soloist. He would stand in front of the band, in full view of the crowd. And he would play his heart out. And he would dedicate the last song, Ride of the Valkiryes, his personal specialty, to her, she would be his for sure. He smiled as he troted home.
-
"Silver." He called after she had walked away. The mare that had interrupted had left for classes. He called Silver, not raising his voice, but his low tone carried over the din as all the other class-bound mares reluctantly said their goodbyes.
-
Steel smiled back, when one mare draped herself over him, seeing an opportunity to regain his attention, while attempting to tell off the newcomer. "How could you not know who Strong Steel is? He's the kindest, most handsome stallion in all of Equestria! He's so strong and quiet, but he's so smart, and such a great listener! He's the heir to the largest metal working company in Canterlot, and the best black smith. Just look at this horn ring he made me!" She turned her head to show off her horn ring. It was made of steel, so the colouration was rather dull. But the colour was not what made it stand out. What made it unique was the decoration. Etched into the metal were patterns. No two sections of the ring were alike, and the closer you looked, the more complex and beautiful the patterns seemed to become. It almost looked as if the ring had depth, and was in fact a circular window into another dimention.

(well that escalated quickly o.o)
"This summer, actually. Rarity's working on a banner for it, so this year should be extra fun." She said smiling, taking another bite of bread.
-
He looked at her, a well practiced gleam in his eye. This gleam, though, did not need to be conjured. "So, miss Silver. Tell me about yourself." This is what he always asked, since his usual clients were quite vain. He suspected she would be different.
-
"I apologize. I will keep that in mind." Steel said, putting her hoof down. This mare was going to be interesting. His normal customers knew exactly what they wanted, and what would be provided. But this mare seemed to be here quite on accident. He would have to treat her differently.
-
Steel took her hoof, and instead of shaking it, as she was trying to do, he raised it and planted a light kiss on her fetlocks. "It's a pleasure." He said, smiling at her.
-
"Ah'll have the same." She said, picking up a bread stick. She took a bite. "Mm, this is good. Not as good as Granny Smiths homemade bread, but still good. Do ya'll got any zap apple jam?" She asked the waiter.
-
"Wonderful." Steel said, smiling. He was glad that she decided to stay. Some of the other mares he had been hosting left, realizing that they were no longer going to be the center of attention, but he didnt really care. "I'm Strong Steel. And you are?" He asked, holding his hoof out to her.
-
"Sure. A walk in the park sounds nice." She replied, hooking her hoof through his.
-
Steel chuckled. His laugh was warm and inviting. "No, young one. We host mares." He nodded to the mares surrounding him, then to the mares surrounding the other stallions, hoping she got the idea.
-
Steel looked at her drawing. "Its very good." He said. "This is the Canterlot High School host club." He said, gesturing to the mares and stallions in the room.
-
"Wherever you do, sugarcube." she said sweetly. She looked off in the direction Forte had left, then to the different resturaunts. The last time she had been in Canterlot was the Royal Wedding. She turned to Flash bomb, smiling expectantly.
-
Steel, as his friends called him, moved over next to the new mare. She had piqued his interest, much to the chargrin of the other mares. He sat silently, watching her draw.
-
"Aw, well arent you sweet." She kissed him. "He said he was with some band here in Canterlot. He invited us to a concert tonight."
-
Forte arrived at the train station just as the train from Ponyville was pulling in. He picked up his package, then sat at the station, watching all the ponies disembark. He kept watching, when one mare in particular caught his eye. An orange mare with a cowpony hat...
Applejack and Flashbomb got off the train as it arrived in Canterlot. "Flash? Would you mind waitin here a spell? Ah have to use the little fillies room." She said, then kissed him on the cheek and trotted off.
Forte couldnt believe his luck. Applejack, the Element of Honesty, was in Canterlot! He saw her walking towards the restrooms, and decided to introduce himself after she came out. For you see, Forte Fermata was harboring a crush for a certain orange mare. He often had dreams of inviting her personally to one of his concerts, and wooing her with a spectacular solo. She would be so moved by his music, afterwards she would burst into tears and fall in love with him. Of course, he knew it would be a lot less sudden, but hey, a stallion can dream, cant he? He patiently waited a discrete distance outside the bathroom.
After Applejack finished, she walked out and began looking for Flashbomb. Suddenly, a green pegasus was walking up to her.
"Applejack! I do not believe we've met. I'm Forte Fermata, and I'm with the Canterlot Brass Band. I would like to personally invite you to come to our concert this evening."
Applejack was stunned. "Oh, um.. That would be nice, but Ah'm here with..."
Forte cut her off. "Of course, your friends can come too! We would be more than happy to accomidate you." Forte smiled at her, hoping that she would say yes.
"Okay, sure. We'd love too." She smiled back at him,
-
Strong Steel looked at the young mare that had just sat on the couch next to him. She looked like she wasnt interested, but hey, this was the host club. Why would she be here if it wasnt for him? as she pulled out a sketch pad, he decided to speak up, in his usual silent way. "Hey." He said to her in his deep voice.
-
Applejack, taking the idea from Rivet, fell asleep on Flashbombs shoulder, curling up and nuzzling into his neck. It was an unusually girly position for her, snuggled up with a stallion, but she didnt care. She sighed, content.
"Well... Perhaps thats my cue to take my leave..." Forte left the two ponies. He made his way to the train station. He had a new trombone coming in from an instrument maker in Ponyville. And whn knows, maybe he'll meet somepony interesting.
-
After boarding the train, Applejack patted Rivet on the head. "Well, Ah kinda like him too." She said as she leaned her head on Flashbombs shoulder. It was nice to have him back.
-
"As they say. Love everlasting must be forged from the strongest steel." Strong Steel said to the mares surrounding him, much to their swoons and applause. He had not said much, listening instead, smiling tenderly. He enjoyed the attention, but always kept his silence, except to offer the occasional words of wisdom and reassurance. Many of the mares saw him as a wonderful stallion soley because he looked like somepony who could handle anything. As he definitaly had in his life, unbenounst to anypony else.
-
"Oh, you know. Twilight's working on her spells, Rarity's workin on her dresses, Pinkie Pie's got her parties going on all the time, Fluttershy's working with Discord. And Rainbow Dash is being Rainbow Dash." Applejack laughed.
Forte was about to say something when he heard the stallion speak. "What was that?"
-
"Oh, I understand." Forte dropped his hoof. "It's nice to meet you." He said, smiling.
-
Applejack blushed. She had never really been fond of being a national celebrity. Sure, she was honored to be an Element, but she hated the attention, the looks she got whenever she went places outside of Ponyville. She leaned against Flashbomb, smiling nonetheless.
Forte extended his hoof to the mare. "Oh, it's quite alright. I'm Forte. Forte Fermata. And you are?"
