  1. Dark gritted his teeth, he couldn't avoid the questions for long. But how was he supposed to keep the location of his secret lair, well, a secret? If he goes around telling everypony, then it's just not a secret anymore. Then it's just a liar! He had to think fast. He couldn't just tell him he lived in the bog, and he couldn't just make up some place! He might ask what it was like there, and other nosy useless questions that Dark really didn't want to have to answer, "I live...er...ah well it doesn't matter right? I mean home is where the heart is or something like that right? Right." he said, deeply hoping he could deter him off that course of questioning. He didn't so much mind answering questions about Cat, even though it was extremely awkward for him, it wouldn't reveal anything that could compromise his villainy!

"Oh she is nice, but she doesn't go to school anymore...As for...the schoolhouse? I was going in. Before you ask, it was for a shortcut, it cuts my travel time down to go through there and I got yelled at the last time I climbed it. Something about being a bad influence or getting myself hurt or something, so I've cut through since." of course he left out the other reason he went into the school house. He was SO sure telling Carrot that he snuck in to steal books would go over OH so well. A chill went through the colt as he felt Purple put the icy cold rag onto his forehead, it did feel nice though, "Ahh. Thank you, Purple, much appreciated!"

  2. Glitzen smiled as he let Max look over the dress in silence. It really was his best work to date in his mind, and he hoped that the entrepreneur would be impressed. After he had finished appraising the garment, Max dug into his dug into his coat pocket. Glitzen was ecstatic! He finally had someone backing him! While this in and of itself was amazing, the fashionista wasn't quite prepared for the amount of bits that Max was putting on him. Hearing the number made the stallion gasp, holding a hoof to his mouth and nearly dropping the lovely dress in surprise. Holding back a few tears Glitzen nodded as he spoke, "Th-thank you so much!" he said with a smile, "I promise you won't regret this, Mister Rockefilly!" looking over the check in his hoof, he almost wanted to pinch himself, it felt like a dream! It was the most the pegasus had ever had at one time.

  3. Glitzen smiled as Max looked over his designs. The fact that the businesspony was still interested in them meant he was doing something right in all of this. Upon being asked to show potential investor a 'piece-de-resistance', the pegasus' eyes lit up. A piece he put the most pride in, something to define all the work he does. For Glitzen, that changed every so often, he would fall in and out of love with pieces of his work, one day one dress would be the pinnacle of his work, and the next, he'd create one he felt topped it. But today, he knew just the one, "Oh I believe I have JUST the thing!" he said with confidence as he walked over to another steamertrunk and unlocked it, carefully digging past a few extravagant dresses and suits, each which seemed like it could be the one he would pull out.

Rather, he reached into the back of the trunk, pulling out one that was covered by a garment bag. Removing the cover revealed a beautiful dress, the fabric was designed in the pattern of the beautiful wings of a monarch butterfly, a lovely black feather trim adorned the top of the dress, tapering down into the silk and velvet wings, which spiraled around themselves and shimmered in the light, "I do hope this is to your liking, I worked on this piece for several months, even starting over from scratch twice, but it was more than worth it for the end result, heheh, as silly as it sounds, I'm almost afraid to wear it. I put my heart into it, and the thought of it possibly getting ruined..." the fashionista shuddered, "I simply couldn't handle it."

  4. Dark smiled and clapped at Cat's example, "Yes, yes that's perfect actually! Maybe not the 'good fun' part, but you are most definitely on the right track!" he said with a smile. His view of evil was a might bit skewed, what most ponies saw as harmless, for the most part, and annoying, Dark saw as a perfect way to spread terror and fear through the masses. Keeping them on their hooves, they'd never know next when the maniacal mastermind would strike! "And that's not entirely true! When you're evil, ponies will fear you, so if you keep them spooked, they'll buy art from you! Terror is the greatest salesman they say!" though really he wasn't sure if ANYONE aside from him said that to tell the truth, but he thought it sounded like a good phrase, so ponies SHOULD say it!

"But yes! You are on your way to being almost nearly as evil as I! Perhaps someday you'll be just slightly under my mirthful mastery of maniacal mayhem! Of course no one in the universe could EVER be as evil as me, but if anypony could ever come close, it would be you! You understand the inner machinations of my enigmatic mind! That's something to say. No one else gets how truly evil I am. But you do! Thank you Cat." Gently the evil mastermind nuzzled her, Dark really was quite happy with this turn of events.

  5. Glitzen smiled at the compliments, while yes he received praise from his customers on several occasions, it was quite different coming from a potential investor! The question though gave Glitzen a more serious demeanour as he began to think, "Well. Ever since I was a young foal, I've enjoyed anything that was beautiful. Anything that amplified natural beauty, without masking it. Clothes, mane styles, costumes, makeup. It always peaked my interest, all through school and beyond. It's my passion. I do it for the good feeling it gives me, the smile on somepony's face when they step out of the dressing room or styling chair with a new look, it's worth more than all the bits in the world. My goal, my dream, is to spread my fashion across the world! I'd love to be a household name, somepony that the world can look up to in that way. I suppose that's the passion of any designer really, but it is the truth." he replied with a smile, while it was his greatest dream to be somepony famous, he would be happy with his life, even if he only ever sold in Ponyville.

  6. The sun hung high in the Ponyville sky that day. Tin Soldier and his family had come to the little town to visit some family who moved from Hoofenheim a long while ago. They had no children of their own sadly, so that left Tin with very little to do at their home. And as he was apt to do when nothing occupied him, he sat out into the town. Glancing over the large castles and towering spires that dotted the landscape, little more than houses and lampposts to others, the colt smiled. Surely there was some kind of adventure to be had in such a land.

His 'magical golden lance' upon his back, the young pegasus trotted through Ponyville with confidence the befit a knight such as him. Sure he wasn't an actual knight, and maybe his lance was nothing more than a practice lance to others, but he could see beyond the illusion. That was part of it's magic after all! If ponies saw a magical golden lance, bad ones would try to take it after all. His father was so smart for buying the magic one, he was even smart enough to play along with the illusion. Of course his dad could see through the magic, he just didn't want to let out the secret!

After what seemed, to him, like days of wandering through the vast winding streets of Ponyville, the colt made it to the outer area of the town where an interesting sight caught his eye. An ancient ent sat upon a hill, staring out over the valleys and dales. With a curious tilt of the head, Tin made his way up to the large tree, "Excuse me, oh great ent, what has you watching over this place?" to anyone else, he appeared to just be speaking to a large tree and nothing more. Listening intently, the 'ent' told Tin a great tale of when the land was young, a great beast of many heads sought to ravage the land. The ponies lived in fear of this creature, that is until one day when a young mage came. Upon hearing the plight of the city, he knew what he had to do. Using all of the magic he had in him, he summoned the ent. The ent had been a friend of the mage for many a year, another fantastical tale, but one he said Tin would have to wait to hear. Continuing on, the mighty tree explained, that to this day, he guards the land, ensuring that the beast of many heads never would return, "A noble quest my wooden friend! Bards should sing tales of your greatness!" he said as he gazed out over the barley filled valley. Nothing more than a park in reality.

Silently he wondered though, what sort of beasts could be hidden still in this land. In his mind, the ent smiled at the colt as he continued on with storied of old. Tin stared up at the tree the whole while, wide eyed and smiling, as though he was listening to something that was really there.

  7. Dark nodded, "I think I'd rather have a name that was hard to pronounce, rather than one that made everypony think I was a girl. Or make fun of it. At least if it couldn't be pronounced, I could just say for them to call me something different. Like, yeah, Dark. Or even Onyx, or something less....Light." he said making a vague gesture around towards the sun. The pinnacle of light in the world. Not that he hated the day, just the sun, too bright for his tastes. Especially here in Ponyville. But at least the Bog was somewhat dimmer, albeit squishier too.

"Alright, fair enough, I'll call you Cat, my dear." he said with a nod, snuggling into the sweet hug that she gave to him, he still felt a bit tense, completely unused to this at all. But in time he was bound to warm up to the idea. It was all rather new to him, so no one could expect him to be completely okay. "So tell me, Cat, what's your first evil deed going to be? Theft? Vandalism? Oh! Tearing the tag off of pillows, beds, or sofas that don't belong to you? Maybe egg bombing someone's carriage, oooh that's always fun. One time I got a crate of rotten eggs, and hid them in somepony's sofa! They sat down, and WHEW, it was HILARIOUS, oh man their reaction!" he said cackling evilly, if he wasn't good at being really evil, he at least had the chilling laugh down.

  8. Dark was blushing brighter than he had before, sweet? The name was horrendously...nice. It sounded closer to a hero than a villain. Like the kind of pony who would help little old mares across the street, or buy Filly Scout Cookies for charity...or....UGH, the thought of it made the colt shudder slightly. Goodness was so useless, he thought, sure he was being nice to Cat, but that's different because she's different.

"Bluh. Good. Just make sure to tell no one...Oh Tartarus if anyone ever found out, my evil reputation would be SLANDERED! SLANDERED I TELL YOU!" he said holding his hooves up in emphasis, if it wasn't for the fact he was completely serious, he would make one amazing actor someday.

Hiding a small smirk on his face as Cat told him her name, he chuckled a little bit, "It's...hehe...it's not that bad really. Catrina could work as an evil name. It has a certain ring to it. The Dark Lady Catrina! Or Catrina, Mistress of Evil! You could have a lot of fun with a name like that you know."

  9. Dark sighed and rolled his eyes, "I disagree. I'm evil, maniacal, despicable. My name is just....bluh..." he said sticking his tongue out in disgust and shaking his head, in his mind it was a lot worse than it really was. Sure he got picked on for it now and again, and it wasn't befitting of such an evil creature, but it wasn't THAT bad really. A nice name, if you like that sort of thing.

"Well...I guess I can tell you. But first you have to promise me, swear in the name of Discord and all that is evil in the world, or risk punishment most foul, that you will never. EVER. EVVVVER. Tell another soul what my real name is. You will deny it til your dying breath if anyone finds out or guesses it. Even under torture you must never let another creature know that Dark Core isn't my real name. Alright?" the colt said with the most serious of expressions on his face. As though he were revealing the secret to immortality, or how Celestia's hair does the wavy thing when there's no wind around.

"Okay...I trust you...My name...urgh....My name is...." Dark flailed, this was harder than he thought really, "MynameisDawnValianttherehappy?" he said as quickly as he could to get it over with, "Alright, now tell me yours."

  10. Dark wiggled and flailed from the tickle, almost falling off the branch he sat on, lucky for him Cat decided to pull him into a small hug which righted his equilibrium enough for him to regain his balance, "Whew...That was a close one." he said rubbing his forehead with the back of his hoof, the fall wouldn't hurt, just the sudden stop at the end.

Facehoofing at some of the filly's...okay all of the filly's guesses, Dark laughed, he knew she wasn't serious with those guesses, but evil below some of those guesses were just too hilarious, "Ahahah, nom no, not even close, nyet, and negatory." booping Cat's nose lightly, at least they were having fun with it, "You'll never guess it, never never never. Even if I told you you wouldn't guess it. Not that I would just give it away. I despise my real name anyway. It's so, ugh, unfitting of somepony of my status. I mean REALLY."

  11. Dark let out a sigh of relief, both glad that his new fillyfriend wasn't serious and didn't seem to be offended by his reaction. Watching as Cat flew around, the ground bound unicorn pondered what it was like. Closest he had ever gotten was jumping rooftops back home, it just wasn't the same he was sure. Soaring next to the clouds, feeling the rush of the wind. Sure magic was nice, but it sure would be nice to fly someday, he thought, "Heh, of course. Jokes." he said with a nod as she landed and gripped onto a branch.

"Guess away! You'll never get it in a million billion years." he said with confidence. His secret identity was so foolproof, he could probably even fool his family! Okay maybe not his family, but he was sure he could fool loads of ponies either way. Chucking and rolling his eyes at her guesses the colt stretched a bit, popping his back, "Nope aaand nope. Not even close! Are you sure you're really trying? Hehehe." with a quick jump, Dark grabbed hold of a lower hanging branch on the tree and pulled himself up onto it, sitting across from the pegasus.

  12. Dark stammered and sputtered, he hadn't thought about that. 'Agh! Why do I never plan things out?' he thought, 'Of course that would have to happen. Oh Discord why? Okay Dark, calm down, it's not that bad. Maybe she's joking. We DID just get together after all. And evils know I've been to enough weddings for three lifetimes...' he thought about back home in Stalliongrad, his mother always dragging him along to the weddings she had planed. From the plain and sweet, to the over the top and exotic, why, the villainous colt more than likely could recite the vows from memory he had been to so many, "Buh, ah, that is uhm..." he muttered, he didn't KNOW really, the thought was a bit scary to be honest, not that Dark was afraid of course, he's an evil mastermind and therefor knows no fear. But still, it was extremely terrifying

"Not to say that uhm. That is...Oh! Right, you don't know my real name. That's right. Well. I'll have to tell you at some point, it's something that only the most trustworthy of ponies can learn. That is to say no one has learned it as of yet. It's that prestigious of an honour! And someday you'll be able to know it....As long as you can swear yourself to secrecy in the name of Discord and all that is evil, chaotic, and vile." he said with a smile that made what he said seem as natural as if it was how he said good morning.

  13. "Alright Silk darling, do enjoy your walk! Don't snack too much now, wouldn't want to lose that girlish figure hmm?" Glitzen said with a giggle as 'Silk' made her way to the snacks. Turning his attention back to the matter at hoof, the pegasus smiled, "Well, I'm glad you find the sample that good! Hopefully I won't disappoint hmm?" he said before dipping his head to Max, leading on and off the dance floor. Off towards the backstage area of the runway. Upon arriving Glitzen walked over to a large steamer trunk, "It was rather troublesome bringing all these along, but when one may run into somepony such as yourself, well, you can never be too prepared!" he said with a grin before cracking the case open, several different dresses and suits hung carefully from hangers in the large trunk, "Let's see what we can find that might catch your interest..."

  14. Dark tried his best not to laugh at the shenanigans. Not only was it all absurd, he wouldn't want to give Pinkie the impression that her company was actually ENJOYABLE. Which it wasn't. The antics may be but she most certainly was not. Okay maybe a little. A small chuckle escaped the colt as she huffed and puffed enough to put the big bad wolf himself to shame, to just about as much effect too. Which is to say none, "Well at least no one's out here to call you a blowhard heheh." he said, laughing at his own pun, despite how horrible it was.

"I can only imagine, they look like they'd be ex...ceed...ing.....ly....Well that's unexpected." the villain watched in surprise as the spectral earth pony floated up. It wasn't very fast, but it was noticeable, "How are you doing that?"

  15. Dark grinned as Cat thought. Certainly she could see all the benefits evil had! Sure it didn't have free healthcare or dental, but all the other perks where there. Set your own hours, be your own boss, send out peons to do your dirty work, enslave the world in an iron tight grip of terror and fear. Just like politics! But even better!...Worse!...Either way, the villainous colt was certain she would see things his way, she was as smart as she was pretty, after all.

"It indeed is! I mean you could, but eventually when I take over the world you would join me and we...wou...ld...WAIT w-what, married?!" if Dark's face turned any brighter red, one would think he was part tomato. The colt stammered, was that true? Married, that was, a weird and scary thought. Not because of the thought of him and Cat but. Ewww, marriage. He'd have to get all gussied up and everything and ewww, "Uh. Right. Yes. Longer than, yeah. Uhm. RIGHT! Evil, I would be honoured to take you on as an apprentice of the vile and maniacal arts! We'll have to get you an evil moniker of course...hmmm..."

  16. Dark smiled softly as he watched the filly's antics. Even something as simple as catching a butterfly, she put her everything into, even if only in jest. That was one of the many things that Dark found wonderful about her. If he had half the determination she had, then maybe he would already be ruling. If not the world, at least a small town or a burg. Listening to her speak Dark chuckled a bit as she finally caught the monarch, holding it delicately in her hooves with a small, before setting it free.

"Heheh, fair enough." he said with a nod as the butterfly landed in her hair, adding it's beauty to her existing radiance, "But I think having you by my side as Queen would be wonderful. Ruling over the world together would be great bonding, don't you think? You could be the ambassador of sorts! Handle all the making ponies like us and such, you're good at that!" he said with a nod, she made him like her, that was proof enough to Dark that she would be a good ambassador for him, as well as a Queen.

Motivation: To become the greatest hero the world has ever known.

Likes: Adventure, Excitement, Parks, Sapphires, Butter Tarts.

Dislikes: Confinement, 'Evil Creatures', Brussel Sprouts.

Character Summary: Born to a jeweler and a baker in the Germane city of Hoofenheim, Tin was a privileged foal. His family was well to do enough to provide for him, but still down to earth enough to know that money was not all there was to life. Tin's father, Zillion, was so proud to have a strong healthy son who would be able to help him in his craft and his mother, Quiche Lorraine was also quite proud, she was certain her son would grow up with a kind soul to match her husband's.

As Tin grew up, however, his parents found he was a bit more than they bargained for. At a young age, he was already a swift and rambunctious foal. Running to and fro fighting off the evil beasts that dwell under the stairs, or in the trees, or the trees themselves. It was near impossible to get him to sit still for his school studies, let alone teach him the trade of which his father was so proud. But if a jeweler has one thing in life, it's patience. And over time, Tin learned. He learned to craft simple things at first, rings, wire necklaces, and pretty little baubles. As time went on it became clear he was rather skilled in the craft. That is when anyone could get him to sit still long enough to show it.

A couple years down the road, during one such rare event where his father had his attention, Zillion challenged his son. A drawing of a beautiful necklace, laced with tiny etched dragons with sapphire eyes, and a carved flame ruby pendent was shown to him. He said to Tin, if he could make this, and make it well, he would get him a large gift, whatever the colt chose. Thinking on all the possibilities, Tin eagerly agreed! Ignoring the large beasts and damsels in distress that called from his window, foregoing the battles with evil knights and viscous gremlins, Tin sat down at the work bench, and worked. And worked. The time spent away from the work was spent eating, sleeping, or other needs. The colt had a drive, he wanted that gift.

After weeks and weeks of work, the colt smiled brightly. It was done. It was finally at long last done! Looking the necklace over one last time, Tin was completely unaware of the new silver ring that adorned his flank. Gifted to him as he sat the last stone in the piece. Presenting the work to his father, he grinned. He knew he got it right. And his father did too. The stallion's eyes welled up with pride at not only the work his son was able to do, but his newly acquired cutie mark. True to his word, Zillion took Tin out the next day to get him his gift. Deciding against any mundane gift, the colt KNEW just what he needed to help defend. Dragging his father through the market, Tin finally arrived at his destination. A weapon smith's shop. As Tin pointed at a lance up on the shelf, Zillion scratched his head. He thought about it for a time before speaking to the smith. The smith glanced at the colt and nodded at the child's father. Walking into the back room, the owner brought out a child sized padded lance. One used for games.

The colt's eyes lit up! It was a perfect golden lance! The way it gleamed in the light, it was sure to smite down evil where it stood! Zillion smiled down at Tin, purchasing the lance for the child. Though part of him thought it a bad idea, he knew his son wouldn't be a child forever, let him grow out of it, he decided.

Tin is a happy colt by nature, friend to all, foe to evil! Though the evil he fights is mostly in his head. Be it a crooked tree that to him is a great dragon, or a craggy rock that's a growling troll. Tin is determined to be the greatest defender of Equestria. While he is a kind colt, he sometimes is a little full of himself, stating his glorious 'adventures' as pure fact, often introducing himself as Sir Tin, Hero of Equestria. While he thinks himself a great hero, Tin is still a kid when it gets down to it, leaving him prone to weaknesses and faults that all ponies his age have. Such as their physical strength, energy reserves, and worst of all. Bedtimes. Despite the hard time of keeping him on his studies, Tin seems to learn just as well as anyone else, if not better. Often finishing his work before others, just so he can go to play.

Poison Joke Reaction: Becomes frightened easily and loses nearly all his courage, the things he sees become scary and possibly horrific to him.

  18. "Ah, no no. Just a...long day really. Nothing to be concerned with." the colt said with a bit of a sigh, the food was quite filling and tasty, of course he could always go for more, but he was so close to freedom he could taste it. Or maybe that was just the aftertaste of the chimicarrotchangas? Either way, the smell of whatever next delight Purple was fixing in the kitchen kept Dark waiting, may as well get his time's worth of food after all.

"Huh? Oh in...my town? Oh. No. No, she, lives in Ponyville, actually. It's a bit of a ways out, but not so bad. I come around now and then, so I get to see her when I do." Dark smiled an actually sincere smile when talking about Cat, one of the few things that could really make him smile that easily. That and really good food, "Ahem. But yes, she lives in Ponyville, I live out that way." he gestures vaguely once again, not once mentioning the name of any town.

  19. Dark winced at the sudden thwap on his back, forcefully swallowing his mouthful of chiimicarrotchanga, the colt coughed a couple times before laughing halfheartedly, "Ahehe. Yes. Perhaps not. Or perhaps I should just use a door the next time." he said putting on a false grin. This playing nice thing was getting old fast, but Dark nodded as Purple headed out of the room. He really DID have a headache at this point, so any help with that would come as a great relief.

Finishing up what was left on his plate with a big bite before responding to Carrot before nodding towards one direction noncommittally, "Oh, out, that, way." he gestured vaguely, "Yes I suppose I do have some family there. Yes." it was only half a lie really. He did consider his pet frog to be family, though others might not think the same way, Colonel Croaky was a valuable asset to his lair. A villain is nothing without an evil pet after all. Plus he doubled as a Colonel, that was a plus.

  20. "Well that was unexpected...Flowers..." Dark thought for a moment and shrugged, "Nope, can't think of a use for it. Maybe turning pony's houses into flowerbeds? Hmm. Something to think on." he said as he made another mental note. He really should have brought a notebook or something, oh well, he was sure he wouldn't forget about evil things he could do.

"Uh oh, that can't be good..." the colt winced as Pinkie dropped the second potion. Watching curiously, the villain was rather surprised at the results, not only did it cause her to become translucent, but also float! That could have SO many uses! That is if it allowed for floating through walls. So many evil deeds could be done as a 'ghost'! He HAD to make more of that potion at some point, "Hmm, intriguing...Well, let's see. Try walking normally. Maybe it works the same way? It can't be that hard I'm sure."

  21. Glitzen smiled, it was so wonderfully sappy and sweet of Honeywing to go to this kind of trouble for him, he would HAVE to be sure to thank him properly when he got home. As he was getting ready to speak, 'Violet' interjected, bringing GG's attention back to the fact there was business to be dealt with, "Ah, yes yes, you're correct! After business is taken care of, I might seek you out for another dance, Violet." he said with a wink before heading over to where 'Silk' and Max stood.

"Hello there!~ Hope you enjoyed your dances as much as I enjoyed mine. Such a charming zebra." he said glancing back over his shoulder, "Max, darling, if you're still wanting to see some of my work, I'm perfectly free. Unless you're still tending to Silk here, if you'd like to be alone." the fashionista said, slightly teasing once more
