The brown earthpony stumbled in through the door making more noise than he used to do when he entered a new area. He had tripped on the high doorstep on his way in and he almost bumped into a towering, red mare, on his way to eat the floor. Just as she had finished with saying: "the very useful skills and talents you all must have." The pony got up on his hoofs and scratched the side of his head, which side he had hit the floor with. "Agility is probably not mine..." He grumbled more to himself than to anypony else. The pony looked up and realized that he had possibly stumbled into the group of adventures that he had seen the poster about. Way to go, Quilly. You've not even started yet and you're already pointing out yourself as a moron. He thought to himself.

He shook his head to clear it from the hit's influence before he spoke. He turned to the stallion which he recognized from a picture on the poster an hoped that his voice would carry it through even though he was so terribly nervous. "My name is Quillhart." He paused the let the name sink in. He had worked on this presentation for quite some time. "I'm an adventurer and an author from Fillydelphia with Stalliongrade as my town of birth. I... I would like to join this journey since I'd like to have some company for once on my travel. It is also a long time since I've met my parents in Staliongrade, which direction I've heard that you're heading. I think I could be an access since I'm creative and I have found a way out of p-pretty much any problem that I've been facing so far, I can speak several languages fluently, I'm loyal and I do what I'm told, and I guess I can defend myself if necessary... I think that's it."

Quillhart relaxed. It was done. He allowed himself to reflect on what he had said and was pleased with the outcome. Then he suddenly realized something, "the very useful skills and talents you all must have."?! Quillhart recognized that voice! He turned around with a doubtful face and a heightened eyebrow as he gazed to the red mare. "Walky...?" Quillhart smiled widely when he recognized Fire Walker. Her tall and proud frame that made her surrounding look so small and extraneous by just being. Friendly eyes but still the very same eyes he had seen be sharp enough to make any armor worthless to hide away from its pierce. A gentle smile on her lips but he had heard a cry of rage shaped by those lips that he was sure would cause a dragon to flee in panic. A friend to rely on, an enemy to shiver before.

Quillhart walked up to Fire Walker and was about to give her a hug but stopped himself with his hoofs midair. He wasn't sure how good friends they were. Maybe she didn't even consider Quillhart her friend. What if she would get angry on him for ruining her image by hugging her?! Oh, terrible thought... What if she decided to send the royal guards on him and send him to jail? Or worse?! Maybe she would get so angry that she would explode! Maybe so angry that the whole world would explode! ((Oh snap! :-|)) Also Quillhart didn't want her to feel awkward in any way so he decided to set his hoofs back on the ground. He felt very awkward but it was better that he felt like that than Fire Walker. "How are you, friend?" He said and smiled.

    ((Papa's home! :)))

  2. Dragonfly gave him a crooked smile, "Oh no worries, I'm sure you wasn't abandoning me." He scratched the cat between its ears and it folded the ears back, closed its eyes and smiled with pleasure. A glimpse of the cat's sharp teeth glimmered in the moonlight. Dragonfly knew that Indigo was right about the camp, to be honest, he even knew where that camp laid. Dragonfly knew how many ponies there was, he could address them all by name, he could give a fair description about everypony's look and point out their traits. Of course, he didn't reveal this to Indigo. No, Indigo thought of Dragonfly as a stranger and a stranger he would remain. "Oh yes, I'd love to share the camp with a few new friends! And now when you mention it; I think I saw a couple of ponies setting up a camp on my way up here" This was of course a lie but Indigo could never tell whether he spoke the truth or not. So for the friends... HA! He couldn't care less about these ponies! Dragonfly would kill them all if it wasn't too much of an effort. They were nothing but a piece in his little game. To use or sacrifice whether he saw fit. Dragonfly kept his thoughts to himself and smiled at Indigo. "I can show you the way!"

((OOC: This is my last post for a couple of days. I'm leaving home 'til Friday so someone can take my place until then. I'd vote for Jane because she knows a bit about my ideas for this character but it's up to you all to decide of course! :) Stay tuned 'til Friday folks! We'll be back, Dragonfly and I!))

  3. ((OOC: Excuse my tardiness.))

Quillhart kept his mouth shut when, the pony he had heard being addressed as "Swift", scolded him. Swift was right. He had nothing to add to it and couldn't see one argument which he could use to justify his actions so he didn't even try to. Quillhart tried to contradict when Swift offered to buy him something to relax himself, before he realized that he could use something like that and quickly closed his mouth again. He shrugged at Abbots remark, "I can hold my own and I don't see any harm in accepting your request. Tell me more about it and I'll see what I do." He gazed to the billiard table and felt like he would like to join in but decided not to. Quillhart didn't know any of these ponies and wasn't sure if they'd like him to join.

  4. Dragonfly leaned back on the rock with a hoof behind his head in a relaxed position and with a smile on his face. A black cat, with the same colour in its eyes as Dragonfly, had made itself comfortable on his chest which Dragonfly petted tenderly with his other hoof. He'd been up here for a while now and he was pleased with himself. Everything worked out as according to plan. As expected; a pony materialized before him and as he had guessed: it was Indigo. Indigo didn't notice him though; he was so busy looking far that he didn't realize Dragonfly where he sat nearby. He decided to give him a hint of his presence. "Well lookie what we got here. You made it up here as well, I see." Dragonfly smiled happily and kept petting the purring cat. "How convenient," He added.

  5. Dragonfly's huge smile fainted away when Indigo asked him why he was there. His happy face exchanged and looked insecure with a small glimpse of despair in his ice-blue eyes. "I... I think we have something in common on that point." Dragonfly shuffled a hoof and glanced down as if he was too ashamed to meet Indigo's gaze. "I traveled with my friends -- some of my closest friends that is -- when I woke up one morning and realized they were gone... No sign of them. I did of course search the area for clues, that's when I found it," his voice began to shiver as he continued, "It... it was nothing special, just a dusty old note with a minor sentence on it, but I couldn't seem to take my eyes from the beautifully drawn, red words and their content... 'Be gone.' That was all. Next to it laid my dagger along with my water sack and I knew what they wanted with me." Dragonfly gazed up and glared straight into Indigo's eyes with tears, real tears. "They had signed it Indigo! Every single one of them I once called my friends! Shadowfrost, Sandjuggler, Bruteforce, everypony! So I snatched everything and ran, I ran until my hooves burned and my head was empty. Since then I've been strolling around in this Celestia forgotten desert..." He swept his hoof and pointed at everything around him, "Until I finally found somepony," Dragonfly allowed himself a gentle smile, "You."

He shook his head and blushed, "Sorry, I shouldn't tell you all this... I guess I had to get it out or I would go insane or something. Sorry for appearing like that I was just so happy to see a face around here." He smiled at Indigo with tired eyes and untied his water sack from his side, surprised by its light weight. Dragonfly threw it before Indigo's hooves and smiled kindly, "Here, you have friends you can return to, I don't. And I can see that you wouldn't trust me anyways so it's better if we have it this way." He turned around and began to walk as he mumbled with just enough volume in order for Indigo to hear him. "I was never supposed to live anyway..."

  6. The pony grinned deceptively as a chill traveled down his spine by plain excitement. This was way better than he'd ever expected! The group had split, unintentionally, unscheduled, but still very much away from each other. He pulled his headgear backwards and shook is body and watched his cloth leave his body without a sound. The mane and tail that appeared had a dim colour of sandy-yellow and it was hard to notice where the mane and tail ended and the desert began. The pony's eyes glimmered contentedly. He brushed of some dust from his dark-blue coat to the right of his cutiemark -- an ancient letter from the time before princesses and peace. -- and disappeared into the forest and swept with determination towards his goal. The pony he had heard to be referred to as "Indigo".

He was soon close, a bit too close, but that didn't matter, he was supposed to be found this time. A bush in Indigo's path made a good spot and he placed himself so that he would face him as he came close. Indigo was a few inches away from him when he floated out from the bush without making a sound, forcing Indigo to back off a little to not bump into him. He smiled benevolently as he spoke, "You seem lost, friend." Not one feature on his face showed that he could ever have bad intentions. No, his face glowed with compassion and the eyes glimmered with the enthusiasm from one who had found a potential friend. Even though he spoke perfectly, the singing tune in his voice reviled his foreign background. "The desert is a dangerous place to travel, especially without friends." He widened his smile and pointed at his papers, "But I can see that you're not one of the common rabble, running around these parts." He studied the pony intensively, took a few laps around him with an inquiring gaze before he continued, "No... You're quite something, aren't you?" He stopped in front of the pony and offered his hoof with a smile, "My name is Dragonfly, a pleasure making you acquainted!"

  7. The sun gazed upon the fellow comrades with its intense, blinding rays as was fit for the land it shone on. Little did they know of the presence of a second gaze which was laid upon them. From a distance on a sandy hill, there was a pony, but yet so much more. He glared down the hill to their silhouettes with his biting, ice-blue eyes and felt nothing but plain pity for them. The pony was completely covered in worn, dusty cloths to hid his body from any unwanted gazes which loose pieces of fabric waved in the wind. The wind blew and made streaks of sand dance around his covered hoofs. He knew what to do, he knew what she wanted, it was her demand, and her will had to be granted to all costs!

The pony slid down the hill with determination in his eyes, failure was not an option. He laid a hoof inside his cloth and fingered on the familiar grip of his toll. It had been used before, it will be used again. He entered the wilderness before the desert as he began to draw dangerously close to be group. The pony drew his tool. This had to be swift. He sneaked into a bush close to the group and frowned; who possessed it?! The pony gazed back and forth to each pony and came to the conclusion that the gray pony who appeared to be the leader must have it. He braced his body and prepared himself for what has to be done! The pony was charged and ready to do it. Then suddenly one pony in the group turned his way and he froze on the spot. Had he been seen?! Was it all over?! But the pony kept watching him, it was like the pony couldn't comprehend what he saw and was frozen solid as well.

He took the chance to escape. The pony pulled himself backwards away from the group, knowing in pain that he had failed his mistress.

Well away, though not too far, he considered what he could do instead. This wouldn't work, no, they were too many. He could handle one or two but not this many. The pony needed to change strategy and he had something in mind. A well tested trick that have never failed him before, should do the trick once more. He smiled behind his cloth and began to chuckle. The chuckle increased to laughter and so he laughed until voice broke but he didn't mind it. He kept laughing laud and bright for several minutes to pass. The idea which evolved in his mind grew along with his laughter.

And so he pitied the ponies. They wouldn't know what happened before it was too late change. Way too late.

    The toll is the tardis

  8. Howdy again! I noticed you've already found your way to the chat! Feel free to hunt me or any other user here if you have any questions, we will gladly help you out! (Or point you to the mods)

Have a nice one and enjoy your ponying! :)

  9. That's what I get for being creative and new thinking, you guys bring the steam roller. :|

That was just my idea how we could possibly pull off a RP in the same manner that mane requested before. Nothing solid :)

I agree with tacobob, sometimes the travel is much more view worthy than the actual city. Sometimes it's the travel that's dull. I think we can work that out :)
