1. I always saw two levels of alicorn:

The lower, and achievable level, as done by Twilight and Cadance, through some incredible demonstration and understand of a fundamental emotional force to helps bind Equestria together, such as friendship or love. Although they do embody the three main pony types, have powerful magic, and are royalty, they do not equal the power of the sisters, nor are they immortal.

The upper, demi-god level, as represented by Luna and Celestia. They were likely born or created as such, or were the first to achieve alicorn status. They are near immoral and their powers are immense, even compared to Twilight and Cadance. They are not true gods as there are other being equal in strength, such as Chrysalis, but the closest mortal beings to godhood.

2. Despite Trixie's less than stellar appearance when she introduced herself, judging from the reaction of the griffin and the stallion behind her, she appeared to have successfully impress none the less! Well of course she did, she was the Great and Powerful Trixie after all!

She looked inquisitively at the gruff looking gray speckled stallion, not sure why he'd think she had the answers, maybe he was just that impressive by her exquisiteness and her air of perspicacity. "Well, the Great and Powerful Trixie is sure that the apples here are no more than a few bits per bushel, you could hardly expect more than that for the… quality of this ware. This is no Manehattan or Canterlot you know."

Trixie's mood was improving, she had impressed, and she appeared knowledgeable even if he had no idea how much the apples cost; only when the griffin elected to "defend" Applejack and her little band of friends did Trixie's mood dampen. "Really now? Do you truly believe such preposterous fables? Trixie is sure those were told just to impress the local ponies, Trixie knows, she uses the same… Nevermind!" Trixie shorted confidently, those had to be made up stories, no way Twilight Sparkle was that powerful! "Stopping a full sized dragon indeed, that is just ludicrous! As for the Changling Queen, Trixie heard it was Princess Cadance and the R.E.A that manage to stop them! Doesn't it make so much more sense it would take an alicorn, and this farmer and her friends don't have one of those!"

Trixie though did actually have some real stories, not like the surely made up ones she just heard. Clockwork ponies, chocolate monsters that used mind control, indeed these were not fraudulence! No longer did she have to depend on… Exaggerated stories about Ursa Majors and the like.

Before she had a chance to regale an adventure though, the griffin introduced herself. Trixie was genuinely surprised that the R.E.A employed griffins, figuring most ponies wouldn't want them around, and not without good cause. "Trixie too is often on adventure throughout the countryside, facing all sorts of dangerous creatures and places in her eternal pursuit to understand and learn the arcane secrets of the mystical arts! For the Great and Powerful Trixie is the greatest show pony of thaumaturgy there ever was!" Trixie's horn flew alight and several colorful bursts of sparkling light exploded in the air above her in all directions in a cornucopia of chroma.

"Now, tell Trixie about this surely quaint little spa of yours!"

3. I dislike the whole concept that Celestia is some sort of tyrant, which is popular in the fandom. Sure, it can be used to great comedic effect, like in the Princess Molestia Tumblr, but most of the fandom takes it a bit more seriously. I suppose it is based in the general republican* streak in American thought, which is by default antithetical to the idea of a monarchy. So of course their world should be like our world, and thus a monarchy must be tyrannical, which is unimaginative nonsense, not to mention hubris.

I am personally fine with Twilight being an alicorn even if the fandom freaked over it. I see Cadance and Twilight as not immortal like Luna and Celestia are, and having this sudden new level of responsibility and separation thrusted upon Twilight offers a lot of story potential.

I love the Canterlot Wedding and think it was way beyond people's expectations. I would have preferred that Cadance was a unicorn though.

I hate when people write earth ponies as some sort of underclass when that is never even hinted at in the series. This stems from people in the fandom being uncreative when it comes to magic, believing earth ponies don't have any when it is more likely it is all an inherent part of their presence instead of more apparent spell casting done by unicorns. People also have a have a skewed version of unicorn power, based on Twilight using her magic to such great effect, however it has been stated in the show that Twi's powers are exceptional and extremely rare, and most unicorns have just "a little bit of magic" geared towards their special talent.

People see Hurricane Fluttershy as redundant, but I feel it showed Rainbow Dash's growing maturity; something that came to the fore in Wonderbolt Academy and Sleepless in Ponyville.

I know people adore Fluttershy, but I don't feel her character is fleshed out well enough (still adorable as heck though).

I know people see VinylTavia as OTP in the fandom, but I much prefer them as roommates akin to the show "the Odd Couple" but at a more unacknowledged BFF level.

I can't stand the eyes of baby foals in the show, the missing whites of the eyes really weaken their ability to subtly express emotion and thus somewhat "dehumanizes" them.

Don't mind they reformed discord, but it should have been a two parter.

Magical Mystery Cure was great for what the writers were given. I understand it should have been something so much more, but as the creative team was granted only 22 minutes, what they did was amazing.

*When I say republicanism, I don't mean the GOP, I mean the original, non-party affiliated definition that is a contrast to monarchism.

4. Well here is an idea to up the shipping discussion.

For you creative types (artists, writers, etc), what cast characters, and/or OC characters have you shipped in your creative endeavors?

For you RPers, what cast and/or OC characters that you play are current shipped (and with who)?

I want to hear from all you shippers!

For myself, in art I have shipped the following either on my own, or as requests or commissions:

• PinkieDash
• PinkieDashFire (as in Spitfire)
• DashFireSoarin'
• FireSoarin'
• DashMac
• LyraBon
• CheerileeBumpkin
• VinylTavia
• CelstiaRarity

Oddly I don't draw a lot of ship now that I think about it, or people don't request it often of me (instead asking for pics of single characters).

As for RP, it goes as follows:

• Carrot Fields - Currently single, his little sister believes all he has on the mind are mares.
• Martini Paradise - The Marion to Brazil Nut's Indy Jones persona, a classic ship :P
• Sunrise Beach - Very young filly, equivalent to a 12 year old girl, has celebrity crushes.
• Trixie - Not entirely unshippable, but man good luck in your efforts. :P
• Braeburn - Single, may be a bit oblivious at times despite the whole gentlestallion demeanor (when he isn't too excited or busy being competitive).
• Cheerilee - Dating Apple Bumpkin
• Flitter - Living with marefriend Cloudchaser.

Ships in RP for me are things that just usually develop over time.

5. One ship I have seen more of lately is Cheerilee X Sombra; I don't even know how that works.

I personally tend to ship background characters more, but I do like Twixie.

Edit: How could I forget! FlitterChaser! :D

6. I have several ships I personally like, although oddly I am one of those not into mane six shipping with each other. :P

LyraBon is my OTP

I also like FlutterMac

Oddly VinylTavia is something I like better when they are just the 'odd couple' roomies.

I kinda like the idea of Scootabelle when they are older.

And for ponies no one really cares for, I am a TwistSnails fan.

7. Carrot Fields listened as Dash talked about the Daring Do books, which was interesting enough given their mutual interest. His ears though perked up when she mentioned her librarian friend, Twilight was the one who got the cute pegasus into them. This was the second mare he knew that talked about the librarian as their friend. "Ah ne'er bin tae th' local library myself yit, Ah hae seen it thocht. applejack tauld me 'at th' librarian was a friend ay hers also; Ah shoods dae an' see if they hae onie guid astronomy books!" That sounded pretty "egghead" in itself, but what else could he say? Visit the library because he wanted to see how cute the librarian was?

Fortunately, Dash's competitive nature changed the subject before it could get even more awkward. He rocked back, eyes wide, when she accepted his unintended challenge with gusto. Carrot wasn't caught off guard for long - he shook it off and leaned forward over the table, grinning eagerly. He wasn't the type to just back down, no matter how she he was around the mares or how cute they were! He would not only accept, but up the ante as well! "Hoo abit tois pepperjack-stuffed insanity peppers wi' th' drinks, each! ur ye up fur 'at, Rainbaw Dash?!"

8. Carrot Fields

Carrot wasn't sure what to do next, other than to keep anything caffeinated or sugary away from the pink maned mare, who appeared so focused on her eccentric mixing and lost in her own world, that she had forgotten he was even there. Of course this suited the ruddy maned stallion just fine, as the very thought of having the frankly nuts mare getting her hooves of the bag of coffee beans was too frightening of a proposition to contemplate. With the opportunity given to him by Pinkie's unmindful focus on the bowl in front of her, Carrot slide the bag of coffee beans snugly behind some of the barrels. Figuring he'll tell Applejack where it is later, he actually felt proud that he kept his promise to the orange mare to keep the beans safely out of the mix, as silly of a "victory" as that may be.

That just left Carrot with the two other mares in the room. the magically dressed Rainbow Dash, and her rather grubby but still amazingly stunning white unicorn friend who's name he couldn't recall. Carrot just gave a huge smile, which he hoped was charming but more likely looked goofy and awkward, "Shoods we gang it intae th' main room? we dornt want tae miss th' present openings, an' mah sister brooght a cake! Large enaw fur everypony tae gie a slice tay!" With no delay, he moved some of the half empty bags and debris off the floor to clear a path for the two mares, "Thaur ye gang ladies, we dornt want tae gie 'at frock dirty, yoo're jist sae bonnie in it.".

He wanted to sound gentlestallion like, but likely it just sounded like complete cornball, but it certainly couldn't hurt to compliment a mare, could it?

Unless they hated cornball.

Cheerilee

Cheerilee watched with both joy and apprehension as Applebloom opened each of her presents. Although undoubtedly Cheerilee would be welcomed to this occasion even if she had no present, the purple maned mare didn't like to idea of attending a party without at least some sort of gift to occur. In this particular case, she did, only to loose it in the chaos; at least Purple Haze and Guilding Light were sorting through the refuse looking for it. Cheerilee did her own passive searching, not wanting to give the impression she wasn't watching Abby open her gifts, or Celestia forbid, draw attention to herself in this embarrassing situation.

Cheerilee looked over at the two foals helping her out and whispered quietly as best she could, "any luck in finding it?" Hopefully it won't be found via the bottom of a hoof.

9. Trixie just rolled her eyes as she witnessed the antics at the front of the line, it was bad enough that the whole line already moved too slow for her tastes; she didn't want to be around this town any longer than she had to be. Too many bad memories, too many mistakes. Still food was food, and buying apples here meant not having to go into town and deal with all the mistrust and stares, besides the idea of having one of Twilight's friends kiss her amused Trixie. It wasn't out of desire for revenge, she had learned her lesson there, but more simply to placate her ego. Besides this was a good way to gauge if the Ponyvillians still held any ill will.

Trixie was content with awaiting her turn, more curious about the kiss than about the apples when the griffon behind her poked her! The azure coloured unicorn looked back with an incredulous expression, but held back her usual verbally aggressive tearing down in response to such a rude invasion of her private space; griffons were much larger and stronger than ponies. "He just said what he honestly felt, Trixie admires that! Besides what makes that Apple- uhh… Orange farmer a hero anyway? Trixie has never seen her do anything amazing!" Sounded like that farmer just got kudos for riding on the coat tails of her unicorn buddy! Figures, unicorns do all the real work!

As she let out a sigh, Trixie was about to turn back around and wait in silence, having no comment on, nor caring about how "hunky" some griffon thought of the large stallion milling about. The griffon appeared though to be determined to give the poor unicorn no peace, again attempting conversation. Trixie squeezed her eyes shut for a few seconds, and counted internally before finally replying in exasperation, "My name is Trixie, not "little blue" thank you very much! Actually my sobriquet is Great and Powerful Trixie, the snow mare of magic, the mistress of the stage!"

At this point Trixie was on her hind legs with her forehooves up in the air, her rather ragged cape billowing sight in the breeze, it didn't look nearly as impressive as she hoped, and Trixie quickly came back down to stand on all fours before speaking in a much more hushed tone. "To answer your question though, the Great and Powerful Trixie has been traveling the land a great deal; after all there are many shows to perform, many great deeds to achieve! Right now though, Trixie needs some apples." Not really truthful, except the apple part, but hopefully the griffon would accept her answer none the less.

10. I am one of those old time RPers since before Canterlot was called Canterlot, and I never once got censored for the more action or adventure type story threads I regularly create or participate in under the WoE banner. Personally i kept all violence to the 'Y7' level of rating myself and use it only as part of the story if it calls for it, but never the focus (as in I don't make RPs for the sake of having violence in them). As long as you go that route, you should be ok.

11. I'll see about hacking together posts for those. I've fallen rather behind on the Bar one, and I'll have to find somepony to talk to. As for the factory, I'll look into it, thanks.

Well I will be replying to the Applelossian one myself soon but your character could reply at any time. As for the Bar, it is almost over but you could RP him as just doozing off for a bit as a reason there was no replies with him before now. The factory one though is a good place to go.

12. You are in two of my RPs, I hope you will continue in them. Just reply in the Appleoosian bucking one and Bar in the Storm one and you are good with me. Your pegasus may also be very interested in this, we are in the individual departments now, but can always use new people (at least the one I am in can).

13. Martini Paradise

Martini didn't drink on the job, but she lifted up her own water in response to Rainbow Dash's toast. "Good bye, Miss Rainbow Dash! Fly carefully on the way home, don't fall asleep in mid-air!"

Work called, though, and while Misty Morning was busy mumbling something, Martini had turned back to fill a teacup with water, her horn glowing a moment to bring the water to a boil. She opened up a small wooden box full of tea bags and flipped through them till she found one for Chai tea, lifting it out and letting it soak in the hot water, which she set down before the red guard pony. "I'm just glad Pocket Change isn't in trouble, then, miss"

She turned her attention back to Misty Morning, smiling gladly that she appreciated all the different offers. But then Martini blinked. "Rub downs?" She stopped and thought about it for several long moments, taken aback by the question. That certainly wasn't in her usual job description! "Ah ... I never have before, but I could give it a try!" she said brightly. "Just a moment, though ..."

Martini's eyes were growing heavy though, as she was already up hours past when the place was supposed to close. She created an intangible megaphone with her own soft green magic, calling into it, "Last Call, everypony! You can get a room in back, or I'll have to ask you to leave after this round, I'm sorry! Thank you so much for protecting all us flightless ponies all night long!"

Flitter

Flitter blushed and squirmed a little - she loved it when Cloudchaser complimented her on her smarts, even when she wasn't feeling that way too much. "Well, heh. I learned how to make stink bombs in primaries school," she corrected lightly. "I got grounded soooo much back then ... had to sit there in my room all the time. That's actually when I started getting interested in stink bugs, and then other insects, and then I just started reading so much more!" She thought about it a moment, then laughed softly. "I guess you could say that stink bombs made me into the mare I am today!"

She pondered a moment, taking in her own weary wings and Cloudchaser's tired expression. "Perhaps we *should* take a room here tonight, and get a good night's sleep before heading back to Ponyville."

14. The Great and Powerful Trixie was on one of her many adventurous journeys through the great land of Equestria. In this particular case, the stunning azure coloured unicorn of magic was traveling from the lofty city of entertainment known as Las Pegasus to the mist covered Solstice Heights in order to meet up with her erstwhile companion in adventure, that eccentric nutcase of an earth pony, Doctor Whooves.

Of course transversing such a long and arduous journey would require a great deal of preparation to stave off inevitable hunger and Trixie, of course, planned accordingly. She had adequate food, but through absolutely no fault of her own, Trixie lost her provisions through a chance happenstance involving a corkscrew, a firework, and a chicken. However, it was better not to dwell on the details of the past, only that now the emaciated and weary Trixie needed to find something to eat and quickly.

Unfortunately, her current situation was made worse by the only nearby town being that bane of her existence, Ponyville. Nothing but terrible misfortune had befallen Trixie in her dealings with that place. Okay, the amulet bit, that was sort of her fault, but other than that it was all just terrible circumstances beyond her control! Circumstances that caused the upstanding mare to have an entirely unfair poor reputation there. How else was she to get something to eat though?

Fortunately it looked like Celestia was smiling upon the magician that day after all, as Trixie stumbled upon a flyer advertising bushels of apples on sale at the nearby orchard. Sure the place was undoubtedly connected with Ponyville but at least Trixie didn't have to enter the actual town, and that was what was important. With a gallop the azure unicorn quickly made it to her destination… Sweet Apple Acres.

The setup and stand were appropriately… quaint. What stood out though was the pony in the center of it all, one of those associates of that.. Twilight Sparkle. What was her name again? Applejack? Still, Trixie handled her before with aplomb, surely she could again, and it was just purchasing some apples, no big deal, right?

That is until Trixie finally manage to read the foalishly written, nearly illegible text about receiving a free kiss from the mare as well. Trixie was suddenly bemused, "whaa.. Really?" That certainly made this whole situation far more interesting, maybe Trixie would enjoy this after all, that is if the line she found herself at the end of ever moved!

15. Carrot Fields looked surprised when Dash basically confessed that this was her first convention. He was so sure by her enthusiasm, Daring Do knowledge, and bravado that she was a seasoned convention goer. "First convention? ye main be a newer Darin' Dae fan 'en." New fans typically were the most enthusiastic, showing up at conventions and events all raring to go; now as he thought about it, given she didn't even know what miniatures were, it all made sense she was a con rookie.

Carrot took a happy sip of the xocolat, something he could drink all day given how he was used to much spicier fare. "Weel a panel really a forum fur discussion ay a topic, usually wi' a table ay panel hosts talkin' abit whatever th' topic is, which ay coorse will hae somethin' tae dae wi' Darin' Dae. Some ay them ay coorse hae celebrities, those will be th' most popular, but it doesnae mean they'll be th' best. It aw depends oan whit yer specific interests ur." The ruddy stallion thought for a second, he didn't actually know the con schedule, "one second, I'll be reit back!"

It only took a few scant moments for Carrot to find a schedule, they were everywhere, even in the food court. He happily trotted back with a wide grin as he held the pamphlet in his teeth before placing it on the table. "Let's see… Weel one is gonnae oan reit noo wi' th Darin' Dae actress Silver Flash, but its awreddy foo nae doobt, hmmmm" Carrot was perplexed for a moment, then he spotted a panel on figure painting and purchasing. That woods wark! She'll be interested in 'at given aw th' miniatures she booght; thes date is workin' it weel! Wait.... Carrot did ye jist caa thes a date? dornt be a dumbtail! 'at isnae whit thes is… she is pure bonnie though!

Carrot just smiled and blushed fiercely, "We'll ummm… thaur is a miniature paintin' panel we can gang tae, that's be neat! Weel after Ah hud anither xocolat 'at is. Ah coods drink mair ay these than anypony, most ponies cannae handle thes amount of hot pepper!"
