Yeah, I don't quite like the idea of AJ tending animals. The other ponies don't recoil at her smell, so I'm just going to assume she just tends to the orchards. She'd probably smell like someone else said earlier...kind of a sweet earthy scent.

I dunno about the pigs, though. Maybe the ponies have a fondness for truffles, and use the pigs to locate them?

Well the barn they showed for the cow in the episode with Trixie wasn't Applejack's barn, so likely it is someone else's place (it could be the cows even run their own place).

  2. >_> Assuming that each pony in all of Equestria would have a unique smell that was delicious, what would each pony smell like?

I imagine Pinkie Pie just smells like cotton candy. I'd say Twilight Sparkle would smell a little more refined, like lavender. I would say that Fluttershy would smell like pine, because she's around nature a lot. Rarity would probably smell like some kind of fancy pants perfume no pony can pronounce. Applejack probably smells like apples and dirt, a sweet earthy smell. I really can't think of a good one for Rainbow Dash right now, I'm just going to say she smells like dryer sheets.

I suppose if Rainbow Dash had a unique smell it be like an open field just after a spring storm, where you can smell everything because of the rain.

  3. Yes, I am a brony and a furry all in one.

And like many furs, I've watched MLP:FIM take places like FA by storm.

The local furs know I am a brony, but last night at a local event, I found out two furs that I never would have guessed, were bronies as well.

I also had a few blame me for their new obsession with the show.

And nothing quite beats making someone giggle into their beer when I start singing 'Giggle at the Ghostie'.

So if your local furs know you are a brony, what have their reactions been like?

Well my friends, furfans or not, have all reacted in one of three ways:

    1) Hooray! Guess what dude... *inches closer* I'm a bronie toooo...

    2) Heh, alright.. whatever.

    3) WTF Seriously!? That's weird bro..but hey, whatever you are into man.

No friends, fandom or not, have given me any real hassle over it. One artist friend joked "so do they give you makup and dress tips too!? LOL!", only to later state on his journal that he was happy I was willing to "admit to loving FiM" and that he found them endearing as well. Best single reaction I got was from the friend who walked into my room, saw the FiM collection on the self and exclaimed "My Little Pony! WTF! Jesus!", but even he seemed generally fine with it, even if he thinks I am a little weird, lol.

On FA I guess its a little obvious from the Rarity icon, and some journal posts where I basically admit to it, and I haven't lost anyone over it, so *shrugs*.

  4. I'd love to do some pony-themed trades! I don't care what skill level you're at, let's do a trade! Here are some examples of my stuff

If you don't draw at all, link me a ref of your character(s) and a pose/scenario/etc. If I like it, I may just draw it!

I would find a trade fun, my stuff is here to give you am idea of how I draw; if you are interested at all.

I'd definitely love to trade if you're still willing!

Sure, I just need to clear my que first.

  5. Over on DerpyHooves they are developing a large FiM sandbox game engine in Flash that they plan to release so that budding game designers can make their one FiM based flash games using all the pre-assembled code and symbols. Very cool!

It's pretty cool someone went through this much effort to install Applejack as a full on character model for the Team Fortress 2 game. The only drawback I see is you cannot tell if she is red team or blue team; perhaps they need to modify her hat to reflect team colors.

  7. I'm not sure there'd be any pony for mine. xP

Just enjoy the RP and if something happens where you "meet somepony" and it looks like it can go that direction and you're comfortable with that, then go for it, if not, still tons of fun to be had in RP.

Besides MudBug is absolutely adorable. :)

  8. Woo! First, it's Winter Wrap-up Day, AND the Moon is its closest to the Earth in 20 years! How can things get any better!?

Not to be cloudy for the last couple days (looks outside at the rain), so I could actually observe the Moon; I really wanted to use the new telescope on the event, instead, total darkness. :)

  9. Well one of my friends came into my room just a minute ago and saw that McDonald's pony collect on my shelf and simply stated, "My Little Pony?? WTF, Jesus!" right in the middle of out conversion. I asked him if it really bothered him though, he stated "nahh, its cool, if it makes you happy dude".

So even with friends who would never like FiM, I still don't that bad of reactions.

  10. have fun and play around with oc pony parings!

who do you think, on this forum,

would be that good partner for your pony?

iunno, just thought this would be fun to mess around with! XD

I am sure some of that will happen as more people becomes involved in the RP and the threads become deeper and characters are more fleshed out and all.

Myself, I just to get actually work up the courage to get into an RP thread. :P

  11. Hooray, winter wrap up!

Though, its still snowing here! I'm going to need a fleet of pegasus ponies to clean up the several feet of cloud that is now on the ground x_x

Oh man, where do you live? Even here in Wisconsin all the snow has melted away and the days are consistently above freezing; already we had one day in the mid-Sixties. O_o

But hey maybe the pegasi will come in the night and take it all away (need some earth ponies too)!

  12. FiM has swept through FA like it has swept through 4chan, but with much less backlash. The amount of pony avatar icons I have seen there.

I think it's cause they're all furs, so thus it doesn't really strike them as weird.

Then again, I've started having some locals take sharper than normal jabs at it.

Which I brush off for the most part.

I mean, just cause I am into it doesn't mean THEY have to be into it.

Which I think applies to pretty much everything with MLP:FIM.

We're into it because we LIKE it. Just because you don't doesn't mean you have to watch it....

    Unless we make you...

    Mwahahahahah! :twisted::twisted::twisted:

Well I am rather open about it on FA and I have never received direct attack for it. Sure, some watchers have told me they think FiM sucks, and that's fine, no one is required to like what I like (always puzzled why people feel the need to tell you they don't like what you are into, but I digress), but I never had any real trouble over it.

Seen all kinds of pony art there (that ends up everywhere else, I wonder much much people know this stuff is made by furfans), from the very cute, to the weird, to the shipping, to the very adult, but nothing that surprises me too much (it is FA after all  )

  13. Regarding background ponies, I recall Lauren Faust saying that there there are a whole bunch the animators can choose from those that are already made up. She did say they didn't have a whole lot of time to complete each episode, so I'm guess the animators took the easier route. I also noticed that in some audience scenes, it looks like they were going for a color theme rather than a variety of ponies. Like a "bluish atmosphere" in some shots, for instance.

It is likely they have only so many symbols in their library of different models to use for the background ponies, and like you said, the tight schedule and budget doesn't give much time to do more. Maybe they will make a bunch more in the off season for season two.

Still they did a decent job, I saw several new cutie marks and ponies I never seen before.
